Modding

The cutoff vests are 95% done, just need a few touches before I can make them live on Nexus, so what better time to start a new modding project? 🙃 A friend mentioned wanting Vik's pants and I'm always looking for more butch clothes for Val especially ones that ride low on those hips but also the belt & tools seem like a fun project.

Unedited. Not bad for an hour's work ☺��

Both the pants and belt are simple replacers to start while I test. I have some clipping to deal with on the pants, but so far the weights look okay. 🤞

As for the belt, I lost the tools somewhere between Blender and Wkit lol. I wanted to take a go at texturing them in Substance Painter so I split them off into their own submesh. Not sure where I lost them but I'm sure they'll turn up again.

Writing

It's fitting that Durian tag me because my latest writing was incited by a scene in his fic "The President's Lady" in which Myers invites Sol and V to lunch at the White House. I'm going for a more, uh, traditional take on The Tower ending than he is, using my fave angst, combined with some good ol' longing and probably some flashback smut. I've been canoodling on this in my notebook since Durian's chapter came out, writing a bit each night before falling asleep. I started transcribing it just for this post, so here are 315 of 338 words, hot off the Google Docs.

Some backstory: The second time I played Phantom Liberty I beelined to Dogtown, and skipped meeting the Aldecaldos and doing pretty much anything past finishing the VDBs quests. Vik was the only one who called, and she decided to take Sol up on his offer of a job at Langley. Soon after she's back in DC, she gets an invite to lunch from President Myers.

“Thank you, Madam President.” “V, please. No need to be so formal. I believe we’re well past that now.” “Heh, just a few weeks ago, told you—” “Yes, V,” she cries out, breath hot against her neck— Stopping, Rosalind turns to look at her, eyebrows and lines of her forehead drawing to a point, as if finally she recognizes V for who she still is. “I suppose that really was like yesterday for you.” The lines soften and she leads V to a sofa across the room, gesturing for her to sit first, then sits close and takes her hand. Long, graceful fingers teasing her skin— V stares down at her hand in Rosalind’s, her arms blank of cyberware still a disconcerting sight, but she doesn’t pull away. “How are you feeling? I can’t imagine the news was easy to hear.” “No, wasn’t,” she says with a shake of her head. “Thought I was gonna die a merc but now....” “I’m sorry I wasn’t there to tell you myself. Solomon suggested it would lead to too many questions among the staff. He’s right of course, but I still feel I let you down.” V frowns. “Ma’am?” “You weren’t my agent for long, but that doesn’t mean you weren’t important. What you did...” Rosalind trails off, eyes dipping to her mouth before she drops her gaze to their hands on her lap. Her nails are still perfectly polished, buffed to a shine. She looks up and says, “I’ll never be able to repay you for all that you did for me.” V down looks at their linked hands then, heart pounding, she leans forward to kiss her, as if she’s just any other woman, not the most powerful in the world, and Rosalind tilts her head and parts her lips and— She swallows and shakes her head. “You did, though. Least as far as I’m concerned.”

Riddle me this Batman! Why is it when it’s time to wash my hair SUDDENLY my hair decides to look good?!

Like as if it makes itself look horrible on purpose as a reminder to wash it and probably get a touch up on my edges—then out of the blue, when it comes time to wash my hair I look in the mirror and take it out of a messy bun suddenly she decides to look somewhat good! Like where were you an hour ago mate?!

OR! Let’s say you plan on cutting your hair like bangs, a bob haircut or something like that, you’re ready for it. You have the scissors in hand or someone is there to do it for you (if you ask someone to help ofc!), you take one good look at your hair and suddenly your hair decided to look amazing at the moment?!

Then it makes you overthink everything like “Oh maybe I shouldn’t do this?”, “Oh god what if I hate it? Look at the length right now, it looks nice.” So you’re hesitant to do it! Until you knock yourself out of that state of mind and do cut it. If not, you don’t do anything at all, period.

I can’t be the only one right? I swear it’s crazy sometimes how hair can make you feel like that 🤷‍♀️

A bunch of washed up henchmen and mercenaries who start working for a kingpin who's nowhere near as prolific or powerful as he led them to believe. When he, Bertrand, gets killed, they take over the rags and bones of his organisation to become the supervillains they were meant to be.

Imogen on a quest for power and control after blowing up her hometown. Laudna looking for a home as the monster she's become. Ashton an amoral merc. FCG an assassin. Fearne a hedonistic arsonist. Orym on a quest for vengeance. Chetney a vengeful assassin.

brigid and i screamed, high fived, and started jumping around in their room and yelling about this ask thank you so much

the crossover is between lost birds (@if-lostbirds), my favorite western dystopian post-apocalyptic-and-also-on-the-verge-of-the-apocalypse sci-fi game, and a life supreme! the cast of a life supreme remains in their original universe and positions while the lost birds cast crosses over into the world of cyberpunk 2077.

dylan remains a fixer but the merc who takes the place of The Merc and stands by her side most prominently is the gunslinger/eli sharpe, born the child of some arasaka executives and run away. they are Disgustingly in love and obsessed with each other because they both are characters with an insane sense of devotion and loyalty. sharpe would kill for her, has, would throw themself into certain death for her — and dylan, in all of her love for them, would pull them back from it: her greatest merc is also her greatest weakness.

(shoutout to the AU within an AU where the two of them stayed at arasaka and fall headfirst into the most toxic, loyal, blood-bound relationship that will kill them both)

stéphanie interacts most prominently with the ghost and the traitor/william rhys, both of which she's brought into her home without a second thought for stranger danger.

ghost is still an odd thing that doesn't talk and can throw a grown man over their head, but they look like a lost and hungry child and so stéph is keeping them and feeding them. they are polite and quiet and helpful, working in the kitchen with stéph and owning all of her heart.

william washed up on the shores of pacifica and though he's skittish, clumsy, and awkward, stéph's taken him in and thrown him to work front of house for the diner. when he wakes screaming in the middle of the night, she offers kindness, a listening ear, and a warm mug at her table. (they're only a year apart in age and naturally they are developing the biggest crushes on one another.)

dorothea is of the roving band of nomads that snuck the ghost into the city after picking them up from a desolate area of the NUSA.

[locked] is assigned the hunter as a corporate bodyguard. only one fleshy limb between the two of them, and both with reputations with teeth, they open their soft sides to each other. contractually speaking, she owns them. in practice, however, she's wrapped around their finger, happy to find a friend, and in love with them—they dig up old vids from the hunter's baseball playing past and watch them together.

while aspects of the crossover mimic the plot of A Life Supreme to get the ball rolling, the merc is not there to connect everyone together, and so it does not follow the same storyline. the ranger/swann and the archangel take on an antagonistic role that targets eli sharpe and features them amongst their grandest plans. dylan, for fear of the sway archangel has, has no choice but to send sharpe on the jobs given from them.

little tidbits under the cut because i will take ANY opportunity to talk about this crossover thank you so much!!!!!!

• dylan and sharpe both work on getting sober together.

• they also do things like stare at each other uncomfortably and kiss with tongue in public. the mox have been trying to find a way to kick them out of lizzie's for months.

• sharpe is widely known as dylan riley's attack dog: they are aware of this. they revel in this. they do scare off other mercs, sometimes.

• rhys watched vids on chivalry to learn how to treat stéphanie in a relationship, and also he is. a foot and a half taller than her. stéphanie is THRIVING.

• ghost, stéphanie, and rhys all sleep in the same bed together at night: rhys is too tall for the bed, stéph starfishes over him, and ghost curls up like a cat on top of them both.

• [locked] and the hunter look frightening in public and then go home and infodump about old movies together.

• the hunter cherishes the feeling of [locked]'s human hand against their skin. they hold it to their face in tender moments.

me, last week: really bad idea for a crossover just dropped(lighthearted/not serious)

I rly want to make a tf2 fused into the universe of maximum ride au where they're experiments, but I don't wanna take away their unique backstories (esp medic's evil scientist parents). Maybe they all hate the School bc at different points in their lives they were kidnapped & trained to become soldiers for the school's agenda but they hated being stifled like that so they escaped? Or they were experimented on post-birth (giving them their ridiculous durability/regeneration/"I just put the blood back in!"-ness) but as the school sees it it made them crazy & unstable/unpredictable/unuseable they kind of went "eugh freaky", washed their hands if them, and decided to only experiment on v young infants or embryos from then on? Medic wears his white coat bc he's better & more powerful than the scientists & School that tried to stifle him, as a way of asserting control over them? Anyways this au culminates in them blowing tf out of the school. And maybe the Administrator is the Director, idk?

or they experimented on them/added bird dna & their observations showed no sign of them ever yielding results nor did their data projections so they released them and then they became mercenaries OR that but all the mercs' families are fucking badass/protected & rescued them from the School and kept fending them/off killing their forces to the point where it was actually no longer worth it to keep going after their failed experiments, so they resolved to cover it up if any of their unethical experimentation came to light, and then the experiments became criminals so they were like "oh cool they took away their own credibility" OR the 2nd one and then one day medic accidentally-on-purpose activated the bird dna and now they all have wings and probably hollow bones & need to eat SO much more food but the school never hears of it bc medic has experimented on himself & the team so much teufort's become numb to it(also they're lead poisoned)(also in this au & every 1 of my interpretations of tf2 some1 tells soldier a communist poisoned the water w lead & they're trying to fix it but until then he has to drink bottled water, and then he doesn't get lead poisoning bc they're his friends they wouldn't do that to him). So they're like late bloomers with have way more bird features than the flock: taloned feet & hands, hard nose connected to upper lip or just beak lips, tails, feathers on parts of faces, etc it would be SO funny if what activated the bird genes was when he gave them all bird heads. and then they were confused when the bird wings didn't match up with their bird heads ljhgkjd

and maybe the mercs faked their deaths (or really died & medic brought them back) in the like 80s or 90s & then came back around once their grapevine told them abt the school experimenting (spy backstory-ing/exposition-ing is how they find out??) and just blow up the school and free the experiments (not in that order lol) or the flock keeps getting tracked & randomly protected by the mercs & the school is like "!?!?!" while the flock is like "???"

And the flock does Not trust them but they're also like The Enemy Of My Enemy is my Ally, y'know?

The School: we have to find the key to immortality with [fang]'s genes Administrator, Medic tf2: i can't believe ur dumbass died AGAIN that's the fifth time this WEEK-- like the meme abt Engie inventing teleportation before cave johnson & the half life guys

Hey there! Do you know where I could find any RvB fics where all the funky brain stuff that happens is intentionally written as plurality? I've seen one or two but the only plurality fic that's tagged is a seemingly abandoned high school AU (the other one i found being a post s13 one-shot with plural Tucker+AI fragments which I thought was neat) and I really have no idea how else to go about searching for this sort of thing.

unfortunately we don’t read too much fic anymore but i can recommend you what i got

But I Still Want To by feraandmera is a really cute modern wash/church fic where church explicitly has DID and it’s a major part of the fic. it’s part of a series too so there’s another fic there that’s mostly church and lina being family. the writer doesn’t have DID but it’s still a really accurate portrayal that made us 🥺 when we read it god. three years ago now?

The Things We Wish We Could Forget by Rainycat is a canon divergent merc!alpha chucker au where church also explicitly has DID. we weren’t able to finish it for personal trigger reasons BUT the stuff we did read up to was really good and we love it so much and some day i hope to be able to go back and finish it haha

also @rubykgrant writes a lot of stuff that falls into this category but i figure i will let her promo herself LOL

uh. those are the only i can think of at the moment. our memory for this stuff isn’t the greatest. if other people have any reccs PLEASE send them in. also any plural fic writers feel free to promo themselves here even if you don’t write about plurality but ESPECIALLY if you do

Andy the bomb but turn him into a ship ai and give him a crush on a dirty little shisno au - partially posted as of rn but the guy who works on this isn't out very much so it's in limbo kinda

Tripartite "villains in love" au (i know the name is stupid, bite me) - all take place in the same universe. stassney lives and ends up Stockholm syndromed with Felix who he rescues from dying at the bottom of the tower, locus realizes Doyle's romantic notions of soldiers are actually what's correct and either they fuck off together and Doyle fakes his death or locus surrenders idk haven't decided, and sharkface and price say fuck all this shit and fuck off into the aether for a happy ever after. there's some bits posted as the Unfettered [WIP snips] on ao3

Afterburner - Hargrove recovers Sigma and Sigma is given to sharkface to assist in killing freelancers (underdeveloped, that's literally all i have written lmao)

Double Triple - the triplets and the trio trying to make the best of their ice planet abandonment with hijinks and nonsense and dwindling supplies

Foxtrot Echoes - the honeypot au: version 1 contains no actual York ai but it's completely contrived and hinges on sharkface being a good enough actor to fool Carolina, wash and epsilon in order to get closer enough to kill them. bro fails step 1 tho and falls for Carolina and has to come clean thereby destroying the whole reason he'd confessed. angst!!! version 2 contains actual York ai but he's an early attempt by freelancer to acquire another ai so he's not technically a smart ai but he's still an ai and his and shark's psyches bleed into each other a bit

Heartstrings au - I only have Gravity posted bc tbr the rest of this is completely self indulgent Locington schmoop but I'm always a sucker for a good betrayal plotline

Shark mechanic au! the feds n news scoop up a fishy enemy and as they need all hands on deck he helps them as a mechanic and bonds a bit with the ducklings

modern band au - shark in a band with wash, south, pills and sleeves, all sorts of drama. not very well developed but lots of Sharklina angst

Xmas sharcus bit - this might get written eventually. modern au where the mercs gang gathers at Locus' for the holiday and during an argument with Felix, shark breaks an ornament that's really important to his bf locus… then works really hard to fix it but it's like glass u know so it's a huge pita. idk. Christmas schmoop, i was miserable on antivirals when i did this lol

the Sharklix "get worse together" enemies who fuck to kinda friends who fuck and also get revenge together au. unlikely to be posted, it's a little too self indulgent lol

games of the heart - au where Sharkface realizes he can't beat the freelancers physically so he suckers wash into falling for him so he can turn around and shred his heart to pieces. underdeveloped, self indulgent

get your kicks - the long haul trucker/greasy spoon waiter lolix au featuring unhappily married locus and licherally dying of boredom working for tips along the desert freeway Felix (thanks Ross for the line i took and ran with 💖) also the road is route 66 and modeled after the old route 66 on earth for novelty reasons

Lazarus - locus does his good guy shtick and returns often to help a sangheili colony and winds up with an alien baby. someone activates a temple of regeneration on chorus, and now alive Felix goes hunting for revenge. parts of this posted in scribbles n bits but it's not a full thing in the first place

the Locnut farm family rivalry au with donut and his two moms next door to locus and his two dads who are in a Midwestern rivalry but the two of them are getting along much too well

MaceFace! Mason and Sharkface run into each other at physical therapy and get chummy and eventually set out together for revenge since Lolix and the freelancers are both on Chorus

The Outriders AU - an enormous crossover undertaking with characters in the Outriders game universe… this will probably never be done but i got great plans for it. the mercs and a few others get freaky superpowers, there's an epic quest for info to secure survival, and Dr Church is trying to reverse engineer the superpowers unethically and causing problems so what else is new

MetaNut meet-cute/horny au where donut doesn't get shot bc Meta gets attached and also yanks donut over the cliff with him during the fight but they both survive and work their way back up to civilization while everyone else assumes them dead. plural meta au ✌️ also they have a little cottage with a garden and bees

the "no-PFL" SharkPrice AU where Price is hired at the same Charon building untoasted Sharkface is working security for and also Price and Dr Church are bitter exes and Church thinks Price is cradle-robbing when he sees them together

red Team Shark AU where Boose and Shark are friends and bond over losing your friends

Tear The Throat - also known as the SharKey AU (the one that comic is about) where Sharkface gets the key because he grabs it and tosses it to Felix not knowing it bonds to one person. This is a Chorus-loses AU bc they can just turn the key on the purge and call it a day and cash in.

WashFace au where Wash and Terrence were together before whatever shit happened that got Wash almost court martialed and sent to PFL, and Wash doesn't shoot when Sharkface makes his little "as long as I'm alive" speech bc he recognizes him when he takes off his helmet. and shark is like wtf you're supposed to be DEAD and gdi he can't kill wash now this is fucking unfair

extremely underdeveloped Dragon Age au with Sharkface as an apostate fire mage but like that's literally all there is to it lmao … shape shifter with dragon form could be fucking cool tho

fucking hell i forgot the Yurch au, that shit just started sprawling. yellow church gets stuck in cabooses head after church's time travel shenanigans in s3? and then yoinked out into a spare Android body and now there's a new guy on Blue team but he's church but he's not. blue church gets sent to rats nest with the others instead of isolated and they rescue all the fragments. EL/NOD AU. this is also what i made my freelancer OCS for but only Rhode island is actually in the story until they get to chorus. few variations on that one

Like @streetkid-named-desire said on their WIP post, I do in fact have something in the works that is currently in testing! A friend mentioned they were sad there weren't more nice shoes for fem V that aren't heels, and given the spate of suit wear for fem V recently I decided to remedy that for Val's sake.

Coming soon for both fem and masc V, oxfords!

Oh wow I have to hear more about the Mass Effect AU!! 👀

Yes! Here it is. Most of it takes place after the Reaper Wars, after the galaxy has more or less re-established the Council and its various societies.

Len and his/her family are all asari. Despite not being a pureblood, Len somehow became an ardat-yaakshi, an asari who is unable to perform the melding without overwhelming their partner's nervous system and doing them harm. While Len's strain isn't lethal (s/he can safely meld with someone if they space it out about once every month or so, but if s/he does it too often with one person, they run the risk of living with permanent brain damage, a lobotomized existence), by asari law, s/he had to stay at the temple with the other ardat-yaakshi.

When the temple got attacked during the Reaper Wars, Len managed to escape and was presumed dead. Having come from a long line of matriarchs who became justicars and received top combat training, combined with his/her combat experience during the Reaper Wars and his/her ardat-yaakshi and powerful biotic powers, s/he was able to find success starting his/her own mercenary company called "the Justices" alongside Sabine (an old washed-up krogan wrestler), Lann (a vorscha sniper), and Woljif (a rare quarian biotic whose mother somehow got exposed to element zero on the engine she was working on).

(Side note, Len's other "parent" is a turian, as was his/her "grandfather" and (supposedly) "great-grandfather". It's a running joke that each member of the Scaeva family will only produce children with the hardest and most stone-faced turian general they can get their hands on. Len's great-grandmother Moraenia Scaeva was a justicar legend, and stories still speak of her epic battle against the ardat-yaakshi Dyrghaena, though if you are familiar with Len's canon backstory, you might guess that something more complicated happened with that that might have led to Moraenia's entire line susceptible to breeding ardat-yaakshi).

(Other side note: Len's birth name is Leonosa in this AU. Though s/he still feels attachment to that name s/he also goes by Lenarius, a turian masculine name. S/he develops a very complicated relationship with gender having seen how other races experience it. For practical reasons (namely, not wanting to be found by his/her justicar mother), Len almost always introduces him/herself as Lenarius.)

At some point after the Reaper War ends, Lenarius gets landed on Palaven, the turian homeworld. Len's mother had caught wind that Len might be alive and on Palaven. In order to avoid a diplomatic incident with the turians, Thessia used its connections to lock down the space port where Len was at until they could find him/her. Len reaches out to his/her old army contact Galfrey for help, but she cannot get him off world, but she suggests that her cousin Daeran might be of help, as he is sometimes said to smuggle substances, entertainments, and mercs for his own amusement.

Daeran is a very unusual turian. Everything turians care about--honor, duty, and military service--Daeran scoffs at. When Daeran was still in-utero, he and a bunch of other turian fetuses were exposed to element zero in an effort to put these kids in special turian biotic units. Sadly, Daeran didn't care for that at all. Even more unfortunately, Daeran was the only kid who ended up developing biotic potential. When it was time for him to enlist in the turian army, his mother had just died. The turian army gave him only twelve hours to grieve. Daeran decided it would be much easier instead to hack the recruitment office to make it seem that he was being placed on a different world and then spent his mandatory service time partying it up on Illium, Omega, and other unsavory places (Daeran is a Sentinel, a biotic and a hacker). The turian army is really pissed off at him. "Tens of thousands of credits and ten pounds of eezo down the drain," turian generals say of him. (There's also an incident where the head of a turian military academy insulted Daeran one to many times; Daeran responded by hacking into that academy's database and replacing classified documents with hanar and elcor porn.)

So anyway, Len reaches out to Daeran and asks if he can smuggle him/her and his/her merc company off of Palaven. Daeran agrees if Len would help him with a mission. Len does so, and Daeran arranges for a smuggler to take Len and his/her crew off world. Len is impressed with the way Daeran handled himself on that mission and offers Daeran a spot in his/her company. Despite Daeran's very close interest he develops for Len, he declines. However, just as the Justices are about to leave, Daeran catches up to them. The turian army just discovered (with or without help from Galfrey) Daeran's desertion from the draft and are super pissed off about it and Daeran needs to get off world until this can all be sorted out. Len is appalled, but s/he helps Daeran make a hasty escape.

(Side note about Daeran: Daeran didn't lift a single finger to fight in the Reaper Wars. He spent his whole time throwing parties and doing what he pleased. "After all, the world is ending, and I do not fancy myself meeting an ignoble death on some planet crushed under a colossus's foot.")

The Justices build a reputation of not only effectiveness, but of having a spotless record when it comes to the law and civilian casualties. They will not accept a contract that makes them do illegal activities, and they will not take a civilian life, and they will not do business with known criminals. Having morals as a merc is very risky, but there are clients out there who want to be above reproach and want to know that their own hands won't get dirty when they hire mercenaries. One such client is the new human Councilor Salvadore Arrigo. Salvadore is a human politician who also served in the Reaper Wars, and was able to occupy Udina's now vacant seat on the Council. He is a very frequent client for the Justices, and calls on them either for bodyguard work or to protect his interests across the galaxy.

Len very rarely deals with clients personally, preferring to use Daeran as a middleman, but Salvadore is such and important and impressive client that s/he makes an exception for him/her. People who don't know who the leader of the Justices is assume that s/he is a turian. Salvadore is quite surprised that the person he's had regular contact with turns out to be an asari. The two meet at a very fancy gentleman's bar and hit it off right away due to their elegance, intelligence, and refinement. Salvadore decides he wants to pursue something with Lenarius.

There are a few snags, however, the biggest one being that Len has already started something with Daeran. While that relationship hasn't been settled yet, Len is very loyal and will not just drop a partner. This turns into a very bitter, if short-lived rivalry between Sal and Daeran over Len's heart. Sal is very resentful towards Daeran, particularly as it seems that Daeran isn't taking Lenarius's heart seriously. Daeran, for his part, is super amused and never misses a chance to rile up this handsome Councilor in not so subtly flirty ways. Their rivalry comes to a head when the two of them have a private talk somewhere. That talk almost ends badly, with each of them furious at various things the other says. However, in that talk, Daeran opens up about his insecurities about not being able to love Len the way Len deserves and how in another lifetime, if Sal had met Len first, Sal would be the one with Len. Daeran and Sal both admit that if the two of them had met, perhaps they would be together instead. They both admit to having a mutual interest in each other as well as Len, and Daeran suggests that the three of them go out to a restaurant on the Presidium. Sal makes the reservations, and Lenarius agrees to go with Daeran to meet Sal on that date.

Another snag in their relationship is the fact that Len is an ardat-yaakshi. Daeran wasn't the only one to keep Len at arm's length. Len was also freaking out about starting a relationship with anyone, knowing that his/her partner would notice that s/he wasn't trying to mind meld with them. Also, as an ardat-yaakshi, Len is wanted by the asari governments, and they will most certainly want to either capture or kill him/her if they ever found out.

Of course, Sal and Daeran eventually find out. Not much about ardat-yaakshi is known outside of asari space. Daeran is sympathetic to what Len has gone through and agrees that they should keep Len away from the asari (though he also sneers at any ardat-yaakshi who chooses life in the temple over death or freedom). I'm not sure how Sal reacts at first, but at some point he is outraged that Len cannot stand openly by his side and wants to do something about it.

The idea that Len and Sal come up with is for Sal to nominate Len as a Spectre. As a Spectre, Len would be above asari law and only answer to the Council. Len is a powerful biotic and a formidable fighter who has done a lot of work for Sal and the Council already. Giving Len Spectre status is only an extension of that. The asari Councilor is very against it. Not only is Len an ardat-yaakshi, and therefore belong in the temple, the asari know that Len's mother is a justicar, and asari justicars operate outside the laws as well. The justicars would not accept the Council's decision, and it would cause a major diplomatic incident if they went after a Spectre. Despite the protests, Sal gets the support of the other Councilors to get Len tested for a Spectre position.

Len gets an assignment from the Council, supervised by one of their Spectres. It is a difficult and delicate mission, but one that Len would be expected to complete. Unfortunately, Len's mother Lodetta does not respect the Council's decision and decides to go after Len on this test. The complication makes the assignment brutal, and Lodetta nearly gets Len killed. The whole thing is a harrowing experience for Sal and Daeran, who for the longest time think Len might be dead. However, Len manages to escape the situation with the objective complete and gains his/her Spectre status.

The three of them celebrate by bringing Len to one of Thessia's major cities, where s/he can openly walk the streets. Lodetta and the other justicars will still want to either kill Len or lock him/her up, but they can no longer rely on the asari government for help. Len also wants to use his/her newfound freedom and power to gain freedom and rights for other ardat-yaakshi.

Alrighty so the general idea actually starts one step backward, with an exhibitionism fic.

Sue me, when I say George would let Lewis fuck him in front of people, I mean it. And what’s a better way to address your friends newly growing gay realisation than to have him watch you get lovingly railed by your hung boyfriend.

This is also partially @thatsmemate’s idea because I, like all simp boyfriends, will expand on ideas she finds exciting for her attention. Anyway the exhibitionism fic never got finished, or started really, I have a sorta detailed middle smut sector, then I hit a bump where I couldn’t figure out how to continue, and ended up getting side tracked writing a prequel/set up about max getting plastered and showing up at lewis’ door to say sorry.

That… idk maybe some day? I’ll finish? It sorta follows max in the 21 season slowly realising that redbull sucks. And that he also sucks, and that he can’t keep deflecting blame onto Lewis and Merc and others, if he is the root of all his issues. Sort of taking in all the friends he “had” at redbull that got thrown under the car for him to get ahead. Pierre, Alex, daniil, perez. He can kind of rationalise it as the team tell him they just weren’t good enough, they’re just bitter. But he keeps feeling sicker with each race result. The stuff he says doesn’t feel right anymore. He can’t stand the voices around him that try to pad his ego. Then AD happens and he’s feeling weird and wrong when he runs into George who he’s hoping will punch him. Physical pain he can fight and all. But Lewis calls him not worth it and that’s what fucks him up bc it’s so much worse to get told he isn’t worth it. Plus George’s hatred he can’t justify as well (though if max knew he and Lewis were fucking he probably would have been able to).

Then in the weeks following AD he drinks a lot and isolates himself before getting really fucked up and going to see Lewis himself bc that’s the benefit of Monaco, where he is greeted with George, and then promptly passes out on their couch.

The next morning comes with talks and accepting blame and an agreement to do better

And there’s not much more to it than that! It started out as a sort of cathartic way to approach making a bigot deal with their actions.

I am white, I’ve never been in Lewis’ specific position and I don’t pretend to, but as a trans person there are some similar things I’ve experienced and god do I want some of those fuckers to realise their lives suck and that making mine worse won’t help them.

At the time I could sort of write it bc I could still split fic max from IRL max. But then the season continued AND all the piquet shit happened… it just ended up feeling wrong to write. And that’s happened with more drivers tbh, max is for sure the WORST, but, perez , alonso and sainz I also avoid mentioning. Norris and albon are on that edge. I just ended up wanting to focus on other drivers who don’t make me feel conflicted.

Exhibitionism isn’t off the table tho, that’s what I have a George/Lewis + Valtteri fic for hahaha.

Alone. Even when he’s dragged back inside he feels alone. The back slaps from partying engineers start to hurt. He can’t hide anymore, Lewis ripped him open with just 3 words. Not worth it. They echo in his mind, never leaving, he can’t bare to look at his trophy. Not worth it. He spends time online, tucked away in his apartment in clothes long since needed washing, reading what Lewis’ fans say about him. ‘Not worth it. He watches his own fans try to attack Lewis for being vocal, then for staying silent. He sees all the dehumanising things they said at his defence. Not worth it. He watches his own interviews, feels sick listening to himself talk. He is sick when his dad visits and berates him for not properly enjoying a win he deserved. It’s no wonder that between resting his head on a freezing toilet rim berating himself, a very expensive bottle of Whisky and a few unanswered calls, he finds himself on Lewis’ doorstep. They didn’t live far apart after all, most drivers in Monaco didn’t. He doesn’t even remember how he got there, but he knows he must look like shit when Lewis opens the door to his flat and his eyes widen

“Max, what are you-, holy shit man are you okay?” Even after everything Lewis is concerned, and that’s all it takes for the walls to finally crumble. If he wasn’t so drunk he’d have been embarrassed by how quickly the tears poured, heaving sobs as the shame crashes over him. Lewis is so much more than he’ll ever be and Max has built an empire on rotting foundations. He doesn’t know what to do, how he’s supposed to fix all this, and now here he is on his rivals doorstep sobbing like a bitch.

Lewis has every right to slam the door in his face. Max would. But Lewis isn’t Max, instead he steps forward immediately, hands hovering as he tries to figure out what the hell is happening, making max weep harder, finally choking out strangled sorries between sobs. As soon as Lewis hears that, he’s tugging max into his flat, shutting the door and wrapping a strong arm around his back and guiding him over to soft and cosy couches, making him sit. Max is lost in his own tears for a while, only sort of registering Lewis setting a glass of water in front of him, and slipping Max’s phone out of his hand to rest on the table. Max is far too drunk at this point, the exhaustion of lacking sleep and food combining with the alcohol into a mix that makes him black out. It’s getting fuzzy, but max is pretty sure that there are more than one set of hands guiding him to lie down, pulling off his shoes and tugging a big blanket over him. There are fingers in his hair, trying to calm him down, and they work too well, max slips into a restless sleep as soon as his breathing stops coming in hitching shudders.

When he wakes, it’s bright out, and his head is pounding worse than after he hit the barriers at jeddah. His mouth is dry, and his limbs ache. His face is sticky and neck stiff from the awkward angle and polo collar he’s apparently slept in. When he can blink one eye open past the blinding light that makes his head scream, he realises he has no fucking idea where he is. He shuts his eyes again and wills the couch below him to swallow him whole, so he doesn’t have to get up and face whatever mess he’d created. He may not remember anything, but he knows a crying hangover when he feels it.

“Ah, the visitor awakens”

A sudden voice speaks next to him, and Max practically bolts up, completely unaware anyone was with him. This turns out to be a mistake as his gut rolls violently, and he hides his face in his knees to try and avoid vomiting.

“Oh Jesus, careful idiot, you’ll throw up,” the unknown voice says, getting closer and then there’s a hand on his back, rubbing between his shoulders

“Lew, hon grab a trash can, I think the couch is in danger” Lewis. He’d shown up to Lewis’ flat last night, that he now remembers. But the voice next to him isn’t Lewis, that’s clear, some part of max knows he’s heard it before. It only takes a couple seconds and then there’s shuffling next to him, and the couch dips on his other side. The movement sends a new ripple of nausea through him, and when he squints an eye open, he’s glad there’s now a small office trash can between his legs.

“Hey Max, good to see you awake” Lewis voice is calm and welcoming, which is a shock considering anyone who was awoken by a sobbing drunk in the early hours of the morning had a fair reason to be annoyed. It takes max a second to reply, waiting till he’s mostly sure he isn’t going to hurl as soon as he opens his mouth.

“I… I feel like I have been hit by a truck”

“You certainly look like it” that’s the unknown voice again, and Max finally manages to open his eyes enough past the dull throbbing at his temples to see who it is. To his complete surprise, none other than George Russell perched on his other side. George looks rumpled, usually well sculpted hair flopping softly over his forehead. His face looks softer, at least softer than max had seen it in a long time, and he’s wearing a big yellow sweater with a 100 across the chest that max is near certain is Lewis’. George must notice the dawning confusion in Max’s eyes, because he sighs and hauls himself up, before turning back to max and Lewis

RvB High School!AU

This is another big favorite of mine--my high school AU. Take note on the fact that I've never gone to high school (I've been homeschooled since 4th grade) so I have no personal experience on how high school actually works. I am quite willing to take criticism and hear anything on how to correct anything that needs it.

Another thing is that this AU has a lot of OCs. And when I say a lot, I mean a lot. There are multiple Freelancer OCs (including my main OC and a main protagonist, Mich), so many Chorus OCs, and one of my AI OCs, Tau. Altogether, there are 30 OCs so far! I'm not certain that every single one of them is going to show up at all, but I just wrote them out in my list of students and teachers where I thought they'd fit.

This AU was originally going to be a teen!fake-dating!AU involving Mich and her love interest, another OC I have, Del (Delaware). I began planning out how the process from fake-dating to real-dating would go, and I was enjoying it. I was reading @ cinead's Carolina the Teenage Witch series for inspiration when I realized something. Why not expand this AU into not just a specific thing happening in high school? What if this was just a whole high school AU, so it could involve so many other fun things in it? I figured this was a great idea, so I rolled with it.

Now, Mich is a junior with the RnBs (minus Lopez and Kai, including Tex and Wash), multiple other Freelancers (Florida, the Triplets), some of the Chorus crew (Kimball, Doyle, Dr. Grey), half the mercs (Felix and Locus), and the Blues and Reds (minus Biff) as classmates. Mich and the RnBs are a uh... friend group? Cliche? I don't know what it's called, but they hang out constantly. Other students in different grades include Kai (a freshman), Siris and Sharkface (both seniors), the Chorus lieutenants (all freshman), other Freelancers like York, Carolina, the twins, CT, and Maine (all seniors), and Niner and Dylan Andrews (both seniors as well).

We've got plenty of teachers that include the AI (this including Tau, VIC, Lopez, and Santa), barely remembered characters like Lemons and Jenkins (not to be confused with Genkins, who is also here and is Jenkins' brother. And Chrovos is their sibling as well! It's madness!), and other Freelancers like Wyoming, Illinois, and Utah. I don't know how big high schools can be, but there were lots of different classes and I didn't think every teacher taught 5 classes each, so we ended up with lots of teachers. If this isn't accurate to real high schools then please let me know.

I don't actually have a lot exactly planned out for this AU yet. I made the list of students and their classes (which will be included at the bottom, along with teachers and subjects they teach), and have been so preoccupied trying to figure out what regular high school is like that I haven't written a lot, plot-wise. I do have certain details and events that will happen eventually, though.

In this AU, the Freelancers, all orphans living at a huge foster home (run by the Counselor), go by state names rather than their real names (smth to do with their introduction to the rest of the kids... new kid start getting called a state that isn't taken. It quickly becomes the name they go by.). Practically all of them are in high school, so all of them are mainly just waiting to reach legal age rather than get adopted out. Carolina is the only exception to the Freelancers being orphans.

The "older" Chorus friend group consist of Kimball, Dr. Grey, Doyle, two of my OCs, Del and Dr. Lana, as well as Felix and Locus (until they betray the group and their connection with the rest are broke).

Carolina and Church are siblings, and Simmons is their cousin. Unfortunately, all of them have shitty parents (or, the parents that are there are shitty--Allison passed away years ago, which led to the Director's downfall, and Simmons has a shitty dad who is in the middle of a divorce with his not-that-much-better wife). All three of them try to stay at friends' houses as often as possible, to keep out of the toxic environment of their own houses. This works for the Church siblings, since the Director is often away on business trips, though Simmons has a more difficult time getting out of the house. Fortunately, Carolina and Church are always willing to give an excuse to get him out.

York is still at the foster home, despite being 18. He says it's because he hasn't found a place to stay yet, but it's really because he's waiting for his younger sibling Mich to be 18 too, so they can stick together after they've both completed high school. North has repeatedly invited York to stay at his and South's apartment, but York denies every time, saying he wouldn't want to intrude (despite intruding at their place constantly). He thinks Mich wouldn't like being that separated from him, since they have been together since she was born... he's not aware of the fact that Mich definitely wouldn't be bummed, because she would crash at the apartment whenever she wanted to see him. He's a bit protective. That's all right with South, though--she never agreed to the invites North keeps giving to York, and she'd rather not deal with her twin's idiot boyfriend living in the same building as her again. She had just gained the bliss of living on the opposite end of town from him...

Genkins, Jekins, and Chrovos (known only as Ms. C), as stated before, are siblings. They have quite the rivalry among themselves that most students and other teachers find amusing. Genkins and Jenkins argue over how to say each other's names, and Chrovos just adds fuel to the fire. Stufents often wonder why, despite all of them being unmarried and two being men, the three all have different last names. The main theory is that they all have different fathers and are actually half-siblings, despite Jenkins' numerous announcements that they are, in face, full-siblings. On top of this feud, there are two other teachers that are often confused for each other--Jones and Johannes--despite having no relation to each other. They just look strikingly similar. This annoys the fuck out of the both of them.

Illinois is the geography teacher, and he's one of those teachers who dresses up in full apparelrelating to the lesson of the day. He tries to have fun with his students, and he's a heavily favored teacher due to this, as well as his understanding and patience with both colleagues and students.

After a longer school break (idk whether it should be Christmas break or spring break), Shatter Squad and Viper are going to be enlisted in the school, with West and Axel as new teachers/coaches. Ik almost everybody hates these guys, but I came up with the idea that these new students with an already-made rivalry between them should appear in the middle of the school year and disrupt everyone's groove... shit's gonna happen, tensions are gonna rise, and all because these new idiots arrived. I think it'll turn out all right.

Mich likes to tell Church "if Carolina and York get married, then me and you are going to be siblings-in-law", which irritates Church because he truthfully believes she's the most annoying person he has ever met.

Some ships included in this AU are: Grimmons, Tuckington, Docnut, Chexboose (is that the ship for Church, Tex, and Caboose? There is a ship for that, right?), and a monstrosity (/j) I came up with... Dr. Sargida (any different ship name ideas are welcome, this sounds stupid lmao), a deadly combination of Dr. Grey, Sarge, and Florida. The ultimate power trio.... they could take over the world....

Now I'm going to be putting the lists of students and teachers. Again, if there's something funky with any of this, please let me know! I know not of the schedules of regular high schoolers and I don't know if any of this is possible!
