sharing a headcanon i’ve had for a while: imperial gold can be deadly to einherjar, even in valhalla. imperial gold has that little quirk where it literally saps one’s soul, and what are einherjar? physical souls. using that logic, if an einherji gets stabbed/slashed/shot with something made from imperial gold, the metal would consume part of their essence/soul/whatever they’re made of.

A collection of various possible demigod powers for Blitzen I've thought of over the years and want to put out in the world for the rest of the fandom to do whatever they will with
Charm speak. Very obvious love god/goddess power, influencing people with his voice. However rather than being able to control people I imagine it more like a dnd bard casting vicious mockery. He tells a giant "your shirt is ugly" and they spontaneous burst into flames lol
Kitty powers. Also obvious, something to do with cats. Can turn into a cat, can speak to cats or get them to do something for him ect. Maybe not great in battle but pretty useful for information gathering, stealth, things like that
Magical booster. This one's based off Freya being the goddess of magic and witchcraft. Rather than a power Blitzen can tap into himself, this power makes his friends' magic stronger when he's around. Especially strong if they're touching. (For extra chaos this could also amplify magic in general, including monsters and enemies)
Golden touch. Freya is also a goddess of gold, so perhaps something that allows him to turn things/people into solid gold. Either by touch or perhaps crying golden tears?
Life drain. Freya is also a goddess of death and war, so maybe something that mirrors Magnus' healing powers but in reverse. Like the Pokemon move giga drain just draining enemies of their life force. Lots of possibilities for interesting aus there
Necro-meow-cy. Continuing on with the death aspect summoning the undead is always a cool power. Expect I can't shake the idea of him only being able to summon undead felines. A zombie sabertooth tiger would be pretty fucking cool

Because I like hurting you guys, hc that the only reason Alex gave death threats to Magnus was because she hadn't known that people could love her, because no one truly had, and she wanted to push him away before she fell for him too and only got herself hurt. She only kissed him because she thought one or both of them was going to die and it wouldn't even matter.

I actually think that when magnus first steared at Alex she thought that he was looking at her because he thought she was a freak or smt (like people said her whole life) and thats why she acted so agressive when they first met.

Just imagine Hearthstone, Blitzen and Magnus walking into a Karen. Hearth constantly insults her in ASL and Blitz and Maggie can't agree on a polite fake-translation.
Hearth: *dropping insults like a sailor*
Karen: What is he saying?

alex is a tumblrina and has been here since 2010 and made magnus watch supernatural with her. we know this. here is how I think it would go:
1. both hate it. not that kind of love-hate relationship that everyone with any semblance of critical thinking skills has for the show. I mean hate. they love to hate it but hate it they do.
2. Alex is a dean-coded casgirl. I literally don't make the rules okay. magnus is a cas-coded samgirl. I think this one is pretty self explanatory.
3. magnus hates Dean with a real and virulent passion. he is sitting there all of season 2 like "bite him sammy kill him!" and cheers everytime dean dies.
4. Alex hates Dean but sometimes its like. "hear me out-" "no." "listen if you think about it-" "wow! good thing I won't be thinking about it." "no because he was kind of right-"
5. it's the dean-coded in him 😔
6. they ruthlessly eviscerate how inconsistent and disrespectful the shows lore is
7. they get to the episode in s5 where a bunch of pagan gods try to eat sam and dean and laugh their asses off
9. "ODIN'S A GRANDPA????" "OH MY GOD LOOK AT ZEUS- LET ME CALL ANNABETH HOLY SHIT-!" "magnus what is it?" "LOOK UP SUPERNATURAL ON NETFLIX GO TO SEASON 5 WATCH THE EPISODE WITH PAGAN GODS YOU'LL THANK ME LATER" "*wheezing*"
10. they are both shamelessly down bad for sam. they want the man with badonkadonks to win every fight without fail.
11. Cas is Alex's poor little meow meow but Magnus just sees him commit war crimes and goes "he's just like me fr :0"
12. they buy matching gaudy merchandise from shady back channels and threaten each other for months with the naked sam and dean bedsheets on amazon
13. it activates magnus' remaining braincell and he does so much critical analysis it's not even funny. maybe I'm projecting maybe I'm not who knows not you!
14. Alex just goes hee hee hoo hoo pretty white guys covered in blood bc if she thinks about it more than that she gets really upset. which does spark a couple nasty fights.
15. at the end of the day they enjoy hating it together and both go insane about it at the same time in mostly compatible ways that makes the whole ordeal intolerable to everyone else.

This is random but what do you think the Hearthstone/Blitzen relationship timeline is? And how do you think they started dating?
My opinion has always been they've been in love for a long time but actually don't officially start dating until after Blitzen almost dies. They definitely both really struggle with their feelings. I've also always figured Blitzen was the one who struggled with it the most. Hearthstone just means so much to him and he worries the most about romantic feelings ruining their friendship.
My idea for what age they met at changes around a lot but I figure it's when they're both pretty young and have known each other for several years before meeting Mimir and then Magnus.
Hearthstone probably realizes he's in love first. He doesn't know what to do with those feelings but he knows he's got them.
Blitzen takes longer mostly because he's trying to ignore and repress them.
They're already so close not much even changes when they do start dating, they just become more openly affectionate

The MCGA gang.
I picture Maggie with the cutest big ole down-turned(?) eyes and rlly cute-looking. Also lips perfect for Alex's smooches.
For Sam's hijab style, I went with one I see most commonly worn by teens in my country. I think it's very cute on her, but I'm not sure how it would be practical so in future Sam art, I'll probably experiment with diff styles and see what sticks.
I think Alex is the most similar to the book descriptions and official art here tbh, but I love the idea of her having a few moles, bigger hair and thicker brows. Also maybe slightly taller than Maggie.
but I'll make a separate post where they're all full body and their heights are according to what I imagine !
