It’s the greeting post which will help us will get to know each other. Maybe. Probably. Do anyone, except me, need it generally?
Eh, okey. A lot of text in 3... 2... 1...
Who I am? Who I am, Carl?
My pseudo-name is Estpi Mortuus (or just Esmo). It's my nickname on Pinterest, AO3, FicBook (or "Книга Фанфиков"), Tumblr and DeviantArt. Like my profile picture - yeah, I had the phase.
21 year old girl, Russian Siberian. Or Siberian Russian. How is right?
I am ficreader-otaku, beginning ficwriter (I wrote only 2 strange fics and few little essay-posts in the VK; over the last three years), autodidact artist-handmaker and fan of allusions.
Yeah, last it's literally one of my brightest idiosyncrasies. In a way, I am a walking collection of the most various science facts (mainly from biology, medicine and ecology), citations from anime, films and songs, and other allusions.
So.
What am I doing in Tumblr?
1. Creative-blog. When I went to the university, I chose a rock climbing as my direction of physical education. Before I hadn't done rock climbing. Then why did I do it? Because fight fire with fire, as the saying goes, - I'm afraid of heights. Ba-da-bums~ But I must say that it worked well. Not completely, yes, but worked.
I have a pretty strange combination of creative constipation and "fear of clear paper" ("боязнь чистого листа"). I have ideas and time for their realization, I can create. But I very rarely do it just because I wanted to and I have time for this. Usually I need any creative competition/challenge or study task with clear deadlines. And anyway, in 9/10 cases, I begin to work on a project at the last moment (mostly at night). I think that I don't need to list of effects of this bad tactic. Also my works are often low or mid-level - very rarely practice, yeah.

Tumblr, it seems to me, is comfortable platform for me: there aren't people who know me in everyday life and the VK. So I just hope that with the help of this art-blog, which I created, and blogs for different fandoms, which I'm interested, I will be able to work out my fears and complexes and improve my creative skills.
2. Practice of my English. English isn't my native language. Of course, I had studied it during 12 years (10 years at the school and 2 years at the university). With varied success. I didn't khow where and how I will be able to use my English's knowledge and why I will need it. And after, in early third course on last autumn, the term paper happened. With 10% English sources (out of 50).
It was too beautiful moment, when you felt like a so fucking idiot. And I still will need to defend of a diploma in a year. (It is't hysteria and isn't rain - just a joke is very funny ;_;)
In short, I finally have got a good motivation for quality studying of English: my future diploma, a lot of english song in my playlist and fanfics in my bookmarks on the AO3 (it's depository of tasty and wonderful works), and my personal interest in a few fandoms.
3. It's just good here. And what, do you still need something? :)
What will be here?
When I said that I'm autodidact artist-handmaker, I meant in particular it. I didn't study in an art-school and take art-courses. My creative skills are based on pieces of information from books, magazines and videos, advises and examples of my Maman, teachers and friends, attempts to repeat of another's simple pictures or characters from covers of Winx's magazines, and finally by my trials and errors.
So my words about "low- and mid-level creative works" are the pure truth. I will try to improve it.
In this art-blog I'm planning to publish: arts and fan-arts, photos of landscapes, air-clay figures and friend bracelets, and life stories.
Important improvement: Actually almost all my works have a background of their creation. So life stories (#life_stories) will be almost always.
Yes, guys, and what did you think? I have a deficit of communication and I'm talking to myself. Good motivation. My marasmus is getting stronger, and tomatoes are withering~
Now I have a some stock of my old works, which I will gradually publish here. But most probable I will rarely do it because I have hard to get up the courage for this.
And still something. If you see and will see anything mistakes into my texts, you may point out an it (in the correct form, I don't tolerate rudeness in my address). I will be very glad to your advises in studying language.

It burns me up that they perpetually build roads, lakes, housing developments etc. over historical Black cemeteries in the American south. It really does. The thin excuse of “urban development and progress” doesn’t change the fact that is 9/10 times you hear about a cemetery being relocated or otherwise desecrated, it was a cemetery for POC. It is an act of willful, disgusting racism and targeted disrespect towards their lives and their loved ones and descendants.
In Roanoke, I-581 is built over Big Lick Cemetery, a historical Black cemetery dating back to the 1890s containing the graves of more than 700 Black men, women and children, most of whom moved to Roanoke during The Great Migration when it was a developing railroad town. These are the graves of the people who built the city. These are the graves of people who came to make a better life for themselves and their children. The graves of the formerly enslaved, their children, their children’s children. The cemetery contains a disproportionate amount of children, even for a cemetery dating from a time when childhood mortality was high. Stillborn babies, children who died of marasmus (malnutrition) or diseases like tuberculosis and typhoid due to inhumane and cramped living conditions.
There is a road built on top of them, babies, boys, girls, men and women and no acknowledgment of their lives. Remaining undisturbed graves are visible from the road, it’s surrounded by a chain link fence and marked from the road only by a wooden sign bolted to the fence. Driving by you could not fathom the size of the cemetery or its significance or the stories of the people interred there. It’s notoriously badly kept, grown up, covered in litter, graves that are less than a century old already obscured by plant growth.
Please be mindful of the Black and Indigenous cemeteries in your area, protect historical cemeteries, protest their destruction, volunteer with cleanup and survey efforts and always be conscious that plans to develop over them are not innocuous, not an unfortunate but necessary sacrifice so your town can have a new Sheetz and a 4 lane highway. It is an act of racism.
The next time you drive through Roanoke, think of them.

I was texting as usual with @gofishgo and an idea came to us again: what if Merasmus was a playable character?
My favorite concept: if Merasmus stumbles in a spell, he annoyingly sends everyone to hell and throws a book at the enemy, causing a lot of damage
That is, during the game for Merasmus, the player casts spells using random key combinations that appear on the screen at a certain speed. If the player gets lost when pressing the keys, the sequence is reset and there is an opportunity to throw a book
Valve need to see this, I will be torn apart by ideas, LET THEM MAKE THE MARASMUS PLAYABLE

Obligatory TF2 job swap au
Dell the scout- A living cartoon character, wears roller skates, has a stretchy arm that was given to him by Mick and sure he had to get his hand cut off but we all have to make sacrifices, thinks he's smarter than you and is probably, goes through a bunch of "rabbit season/duck season" type beats daily.
Jeremy the soldier- A military brat who's never been in the military, he can't feel pain and got his legs blown off by rocket jumping but he got over it.
Jane doe the pyro- Everyone thinks they're a mindless killing machine and there right, can't talk just growls and barks, very animal like (especially dog like!) in general, he was made to be Marasmus's familiar but ran away.
??? the spy- Their gender place of origin name and even their face are completely unknown to everyone by design as per usual, he still sees everything in pyrovision (or spyvision if you prefer) she knows that's not how everyone else sees the world but they can't tell a psychiatrist because that will reveal something about him self and "make her vulnerable", friends with soldier :) spy loves how useful his big dumb puppy is and Jane thinks spy is nice :) the only reason some of the Mercs know Jane's name is because Jane managed to mumble it out to spy.
Sebastian the medic- Squidward core, hates his job, he isn't as dangerous as the og medic But somehow manages to still get a lot of medical malpractice in just because he simply does not care, puts organs in the wrong places and uses the wrong type constantly, he's still Jeremy's father but he's not going to tell him that lol.
Ludwig the heavy- Vary deranged yet nice, in love with demo and he does the most gory love letters ever created which demo is simultaneously horrified and strangely appreciative of, gets all the animal parts for medic.
Mikhail the demo- The only person here who has common sense despite his intense love for vodka, only got this job to support his family but that doesn't mean he can't love it, his relationship with heavy can be accurately described as "What is wrong with him and why do I need him."
Travis the sniper- Considered a failure by his family and they don't talk to each other because he doesn't work with explosives, thinks animals are better than people his only human friend is Jane because Jane is more animal than human anyway.
Mick the engineer- Got rid of both of his legs to replace them with sentries, looks calm and sensible but he isn't trust me, still lives in a van because he doesn't want to talk with anyone, also still throws jarate at people because he's Mick muddy.

Hi ! I’m relatively new to txf fandom and you seem very knowledgeable and lovely, and I just saw a post that had this tweet and I wanted to ask if there’s a fic like that for us ? And if not, do you have any recommendations for your all time favorite txf fics ? Thank you :)
Well aren't you sweet. Not sure about knowledgeable and lovely, but I am quite susceptible to flattery!
Off the top of my head, I can think of 3 fics that have remained key pieces in the fandom since their publication:
Arizona Highways by Fialka
Fialka's entire body of work is astonishing, but AH remains not only a staple for the XF fandom, but is widely regarded as one of the classics of fanfiction itself. It made an impressive showing at the 2000 Spooky Awards (fanfic awards within the fandom), winning the outstanding novel, x-file (casefile), angst, Scully characterization, and "other" character categories, and second place for outstanding Mulder characterization.
The story provides a resolution to the Emily arc that both fans and characters were otherwise denied in show canon. It follows Scully, Mulder, and Kresge (from the Christmas Carol/Emily episodes) as they discover that Emily - like the Samanthas and other clones - was but one of a series of children produced from Scully's ova to be test subjects in the wider hybridization conspiracy.
Iolokus by RivkaT and MustangSally
A grim alternate universe take on the show's mytharc, this fic is highly controversial due to its bleak takes on Mulder and Scully's characterization, and the horrible things they endure throughout. Clones, rape, human experiments... I must admit that I have not finished this one - it got too dark for me quite early on - but it remains bookmarked for a time I feel ready to get into it.
This fic is both famous and infamous, and has been sparking controversy since its first publication in 1998. Proceed at your own risk.
Incrementum by Lepusarcticus
A far more recent entry into the fandom (2017), this work is a series of canon-compliant alternate-universe vignettes which explore what would have happened if Mulder and Scully's romantic and sexual relationship had begun much, much earlier than in canon.
Honorable mention goes to Parabiosis by Penumbra which explores Mulder and Scully's shifting relationship throughout season seven. Penumbra is another author whose entire body of work is worthy of a deep-dive; Fathoms Five is a stunning piece concerning Scully's struggle to understand her own immortality as the world around her marches inexorably onward, and Upsidaisium is a heart-breaking story set in the long grim night of Gethsemane.
Also of note is the series Life During Wartime, a years-long collaboration between four of the fandom's best writers (Maria Nicole, cofax7, finisterre/Marasmus, and Fialka) exploring the colonization apocalypse that never came. Sweet, heart-wrenching, poignant, and fearless.
Do also check out the fics listed under the various categories of the Spooky Awards (linked above) - some are enduring classics, some are great stories that have merely been buried in the sands of time. Many of the fics listed there can be found on Gossamer (one of the few surviving archives from the show's original run and a fandom archaeologist's wet dream) or X-Libris (one person's effort to save older fics and their art from the Wayback Machine in epub and pdf format for posterity and personal use).
Also dig through the XF Book Club's archive on Livejournal for some interesting pieces you can browse by category - and as an added bonus, you can watch fellow fans debate, critique, and generally lose their minds in the comments section!
