Fr one of the funny things I think about in regards to Makoto in FGO is how he arrived at Chaldea as a total twig. A complete stick. Not unhealthy but there's barely any muscle to be seen on him, almost anyone could beat him in an arm wrestling match. But he decides "I've gotta do my best to improve since everyone's depending on me" and by the time of Babylonia the Solomon he's got some decent tone and is a good deal stronger, and by the end of the Remnants/the LBs he's got genuine, serious muscle.

Imagine if the LBs just didn't happen and he went home, just a year ago (from his friends/familys perspective) Makoto was some scrawny wimp and now completely out of the blue he's got strength that would really hurt if he punched someone.

And on a more heartwarming(?) note, this means that at the very beginning of the story he tried to lift the stone that had crushed Mash without hesitation even though 1) he was super weak then 2) the stone was burning hot and damaged his hands 3) there was no way he could do it even if he was stronger. He is just someone who Tries
