Do you think Will still has some of the Mind Flayer in him? At the end of S1, he was found with the tentacle appendage in his mouth, and in S3, the Flayer was possessing people using that method. I know they got the shadow-y bits out of him, but I keep thinking maybe something attached itself to him physically on the inside (besides all the demo-slugs he kept spitting up) that would make him susceptible to being ordered around again in S5 by the Flayer/Henry. Maybe it's just a parallel or unrelated bits I read too much into LOL

There's definitely more to Will's connection to the Mind Flayer than the show is letting on, anon. S2 shows him getting possessed by and then exorcised of the black particles, and his connection to the Mind Flayer persists ever after in the form of his neck tingles.

But here's a key detail that tends to be overlooked: he was getting neck tingles before the possession too.

This shot is the first time we see him getting neck tingles, and it's from 2x01 -- well before the possession in 2x03. The show also explicitly calls back to this shot in 3x04 when Will tells the party "I've felt it before. Whenever he was close."

I see four potential explanations here:

Your theory -- that Will was pre-infected during his visit to the Upside Down.

Will has powers and sensing Eldritch abominations from another dimension is Just a Thing He Can Do. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There are multiple timelines, and the Will we see meeting the MF in 2x01 is not the same Will we see getting possessed in 2x03.

Will was infected in S2 exactly as we were led to believe, but it permanently connected him to the Mind Flayer across space and time -- the exorcism couldn't do shit to undo this, because simply removing the particles in the present can't remove them from the part of his past during which he was still infected.

It's worth noting that all four of these work as possible explanations for young Henry's connection to the Mind Flayer too. Personally I think the Mind Flayer is inherently timey-wimey, so I'm rooting for #4 for both of them.

why do you think the writers chose to make the steroline proposal so similar to the stelena one?

If I were a Steroline shipper, I would say that the purpose is to show that SE was a long-ago fantasy but SC is what's real and immediate and in front of him and that's what the parallels are meant to indicate. The "healthy" Steroline equivalent of Delena's "We're messy and we're complicated but we're real".

As a Stelena shipper, and taking in the fact that season 8 has a lot of loaded Stelena moments (not even accounting for season 7)

In season 8 Stefan could’ve spoken about how he told Caroline at the festival that things would be OK again, that they’ll make it through, he chose to speak about Elena

In 3x04 Klaus returns with him to Mystic Falls because Stefan couldn’t adequately lie to Rebekah about maybe loving someone else the way he loved Elena.

In 3x21, 3x22 he says he’ll leave town if she chooses Damon but she chooses him instead and more than that becomes a vampire so he stays.

Even Cade who is manipulated by Katherine, the way Katherine tortures Stefan has nothing to do with Caroline directly, she’s a casualty of her plan yes, but her plan is focused on making Stefan destroy his relationship with Elena once and for all, to poison their relationship:

taking in the fact that Elena is the last person he sees before he dies

taking in the fact that in season 6, Julie said this

Julie Plec: They [Stefan and Caroline] are sharing an experience of having to say goodbye to someone they care about [who] ultimately is Stefan’s true love. (source)

in season 8 KW said this

He pauses, then continues, “If there was any other conversations, we ended on this one. This show was always about Stefan being the hero, and if Stefan could not have Elena, Stefan could do this very nice thing of giving his brother the chance to live with Elena.”

I think the parallel is what I said in my "Just Be Happy" gifset

When I spoke to the anon about 8x05 and the kitchen scene, there was something about it that felt off to me that I couldn’t articulate until now. Making breakfast and getting coffee/tea whatever in the morning with your partner is innocuous enough, thousands of couples do that all the time, but within the context of other scenes in the season it feels as if Stefan is trying to recreate the Stelena fantasy life with Caroline in an effort to do what Elena told him to do in 6x22: be happy.

When push comes to shove, Elena is still the person Stefan draws hope, strength and inspiration from as seen in 8x01 and in 8x05 and there’s just something mechanical about his life with Caroline.

The main storyline of every character in season 1 is about literally finding and saving Will from a monster and being trapped in another dimension. He is literally the reason why all of our characters got together in the first place...

Including all of your precious ships.

Without Will going missing, no El meeting the boys and Mike going "mwah mwah: with her and our lovely M!leven.

Without Will, no Lumax (or at least not the same way) as he doesn't throw up the slugs which creates the entire Dustin plotline with Dart and the demodogs and love triangle thingy with Lucas and Max.

AND THE STEVE AND DUSTIN BROMANCE.

Without Will going missing and being possessed by the Mindflayer, Joyce doesn't lose Bob which gives way to Jopper in season 3 where Joyce wants to stop the bad things before it happens which causes her to bond with Hopper who wouldn't even be interested in the Byers the same way or the town before Will dissapears.

Without Will, no Jancy as Jonathan doesn't search for his brother in the woods which leads to Nancy looking at the photos and looking for Barb and kill the monster with him. Probably not even a Steve and Nancy break up.

A lot of things don't happen without him missing and that is just the tip of the iceberg.

Will in season 2 has an entire storyline centered around him which connects him with every other storyline outside of the one with El, except at the end. Including the demodogs and the tunnels.

He is one of the reason we are able to close the gate because of the morse code he does. He is one of the reasons why we know the MF doesn't like fire and hot temperatures. Most of the storyline is centered about saving him from the possession and understanding him and the way he works to save the world.

We literally discover the plot of Season 3 through him by watching him feel something happening with the MF in the theater and on the hill which connects with the rats and the Jancy plotline which connects with the kids. He is the reason most of the party got together in 3x04 and why they fought Billy and how they knew he was the host. Everytime a danger is nearby, Will is there to warn them about it due to his connection with the Upside Down.

So no Will isn't central or important to the show.

HE IS FUCKING ESSENTIAL.

I think that those are some of the most interesting in regards to Damon's character arc and relationships with Elena and the other MF crew. 1x6 trashes tf out of the Stelena ship. You can see their future in those flashbacks. 1x11 is fantastic... the foundation of Delena's friendship. It contains a scene that affects a future Stelena scene. 2x1 is Damon's collapse. That's when he has to rebuild himself just as Elena and Stefan have been since the open. 3x1 is when she falls for Damon, and I do mean truly falls. That's why Damon questions her at the end of 3x2. She chose him over Stefan in those mountains.

Yeah...I could keep going. I'm gonna start 1x4 tonight, but I'm sure it won't be done until tomorrow.

Maybe I like the same as everyone...or maybe not.. but I will try to say different things from the usual

1- Mizumono

A romantic masterpiece, an episode that feels like a short movie. I love how they know this is the best episode and use shots from it in Primavera and 3x04 👌👌 it amazes me how it is the saddest episode and everyone's favorite, just that good. Love is subtle and shown through actions, and LOOKS, no one has to even say "I love you". So many ways to say I love you on that episode (and Hannibabe is on peak romanticism): "could you be happy there?" "I have a concept of you just as you have a concept of me" "we could disappear now" "you were supposed to leave" "i wanted to surprise you" "i forgive you" "I already did". The drama of how they just don't understand (yet), that they love each other

2- The Wrath of the Lamb

Everything hurts about this episode and I don't even know if it's in a good or bad way. The whole episode not just the ending, is finally the acceptance of their love that took so long, took so much struggle with them slowly knowing how to act on their feelings. The murder date scene where all they do is look at each other (what they do best) they had many opportunities to kiss but they didn't because they are idiots. The mf song man, it's like it subconsciously summarizes everything about how their love feels right there, how they are obsessed with each other and can't be separated anymore. This episode has been compared to marriage and it's accurate, they can communicate through their eyes there at the cliff and fuckin say "I do" oh god

3- 3x09

You can almost feel the air tensing when Hannibal notices Will is finally there after 3 years. You can see his face and know he has cared about nothing but this for those 3 years. People have many theories but I think Will only half knew what he was doing, because I think he does denial really well "i'm not in love with hannibal, maybe i really came here because i want to do this case and he is the only one who can help me" "You just came here to look at me" DAMN SON yes, like in every sense possible. The way Will has so many FEELINGS the whole episode. How when he says "I'm not letting him in" it's like the 2nd time he suffers the most in the entire series. And just the damn looks he gives Hannibal, he is still resentful, but behind them there is the passion of someone who is watching something beautiful they can't understand.

4- 3x11

There is so much drama and tension, i love it. And again love is shown through actions. How Will can't help being in love with Hannibal, after everything he does, it makes you feel helpless and in awe like Will does. It kind of hurts how strong the thing is, hurts in the heart and in the brain because it is a mindfuck episode about what does all that say about Will. I love how they can't stop staring at each other and Hannibal takes the chance to recite poetry to Will 💅 while giving him such a vulnerable look 👌

5- Sorbet

I like it because it is a cute and artistic episode about evil and innocent things at the same time. Hannibal is shown doing his murders and cooking and also, having feelings for Will, while that majestic music plays in the background. Will having his bisexual awakening AND ignoring signs that Hannibal is the Ripper. That poetic thought of loneliness and ache. The peak innocence scene of Will giving Hannibal the wine while they genuinely smile at each other, and how Hannibal saw Will since the very beginning, "I don't think I would be good company" "I disagree"

Z Nation re-watch: 3x04 The One With the Fake Poop Toys

This is a very gruesome opening. Gets the point across of the Red Hands.

SO. Since we know who the Scorpion actually is (gosh I hope you've already watched the show if you're reading these, heh), the question that follows is: what happened to Javier to make him this way? Something in particular or just the accumulated weight of all that had happened?

They make such good use of these windows this season.

They're taking a bunch of Murphy's blood and he's feeling weak. This must be what leads to him losing his coloring. That or possibly when she gives him another shot of the vaccine in a microdose.

Murphy needs periodic boosters or he'll end up like patient zero in Colorado. That's not good.

I LOVE how they dress Murphy this season. Every suit is so good.

Did Addy have a tooth infection at the start of this episode? It's been literally 12 minutes and I can't remember. lol I don't think she did though.

El Scorpion is the protector of the innocent, the Red Hand woman says. Everyone at this point in the apocalypse has found their group and they will kill to protect each other. Our group is no different, it's just the level of torture the Red Hands do that makes them demonstrably worse.

Warren: "She turned, I had to mercy her." I...I don't think that's true. (See? Protecting her tribe. Warren goes all in on this mindset this season. Group loyalties define much of this season.)

Sun Mei chokes Addy into unconsciousness. That's not gonna feel great when she wakes up, but they've gotta pull that tooth. AUGH the WORST SCENE IN Z NATION. *shudder*

Hector: "You've got to admit, whoever they are, they've got style." Warren: "...really?"

Warren looks almost peaceful here, like she's welcoming this moment. I can't imagine how spiritually exhausted she would be by this point.

Hector's pained "please get up, I need you" is brutal. He's a man who needs a leader, no matter what face he presents to the world.

10k throws himself out of a window to avoid getting shot with more Murphy vaccine.

Murphy's lieutenant tells 10k that 'Murphy cares about you.' I wonder if that means personally (he actually cares about 10k, which I could see since they did travel together for years), or if he's just totally into the Murphy Regime and means the you like Christians mean it when they say "Jesus loves you" - Jesus loves everybody, and so does all the people Murphy saved.

Hector: "I was Escorpion, and for that I deserve to die. But not for this. And not by you."

Our Zombie Messiah, taking the apocalypse as seriously as ever.

Murphy: "We'll do it right this time. We'll do it my way." Ah, the cry of the dictator.

Addy to Sun Mei: "Thank you. Don't ever touch me again."

Hector: "I'm never gonna get away from who I am." Warren: "None of us gets away. It's the apocalypse."

Hector: "Everyone close to me dies." Warren: "Everyone close to everyone dies." I mean...that's life. The ultimate truism we all have to somehow come to terms with.

Warren: "I don't need a saint. Or a lover. I need a killer. The only redemption any of us has is to survive. To live another day." This scene is a lot. And is another signal of the shift Warren has made internally. She's leaving her 'do good at any cost' ideals behind to make it another day. She justifies it to herself by saying she's got to get to Murphy to make the vaccine to save humanity. And I'm not going to argue whether she's right or wrong because that's a huge question. But she's changed. 

Little on the nose there, don't you think Murph?

Ugh the tension in this scene where Merch walks into the zombie pen is palpable. Why can't/doesn't Murphy force her to turn around though? Has she really just fought long enough that he's lost control over her? Is his power waning because he's spread his blood so thin? I have Questions.

Bitch, I swear to fuck, I DID NOT make +10 edits over the span of 3 years and be referred to as “The Tyrelliot King/Queen” on youtube, or read comments by people telling me how my videos have helped them through hard times, fuck, even have an individual come out for the first time, for it to sink with one single episode... I just didn’t. To me, it’s more than just a ship at this point. It’s the people I’ve met and interacted with that makes this whole thing worth it.

If there is even a tiny fucking GLIMMER of hope I’ll absorb that shit. I refuse to casually let it go after having been so intensely invested in it for SO. LONG. It’s probably pathetic in many others’ eyes, and I’m fine with that. The amount of time I’ve invested in these characters/ship is astounding, and, through edits and other things, I’ve created so many fond memories of them so I really could give less of a fuck if some judgy mf thinks I don’t have a life.

Last but not least... look at Hannigram, one of my ultimate OTPs. They literally tried to kill each other in every possible way and THEY still ended up together lmfao. Tyrelliot angst ain’t got nothing on Hannigram.

I remember KWv& JP in season 1 not wanting show Elena to be like book Elena.. Because book Elena is more Katherine like & to make DE work thats who she became. Only difference Kat loved and slept w S & D had the same time... Elena didnt ..

Well, the main problem of this show is Elena. I mean writers and actors always says that Elena is pure, innocent girl and two vampires came into MF and destroyed her human world. In books Elena is spoiled, selfish girl who always gets what she wants and doesn’t care about consequence. As writers says they wanted make Elena more compassion and “good” so viewers would love her from the first episode. So in the beginning of TVD Elena represented as good girl with high moral, fiercely loyal and selfness friend. But when Elena died and became a vampire she completely changed. She became a poor version of Katherine and more like book!Elena. Its funny that one reason that DE happen is Elena’s death and sirebond. I never believed in DE bc of Damon’s obsession over Katherine. He spent 145 years loving this woman. And in 2x01 he wanted to forgive her for everything he’s been through when she was gone if Katherine would say she loved him all this time. We saw that she didn’t and what Damon’s done? He went straight to Elena bc he didn’t get Katherine. And when Elena rejected him - Damon killed Jeremy. Not because Damon magically fall in love with E for one second and forgot his love for Katherine. He did that because he was rejected by the girl who 100% copy of woman he loved for 145 years. Elena was the replacement bc Damon always wanted Katherine. In 2x04( I don’t remember correctly, but this episode about E&D&Alaric went to some university and found The Petrova book) Elena manipulated Damon and he says that she’s more like Katherine than just look. In 2x08 D says E that he loves her. I mean how long it where since 2x01 or 2x04? Maybe month? Or 2 weeks? And he just forgot his obsession over Katherine if he thinks that Elena has a lot in common with Katherine than look? Yeah, I don’t believe that. Or 3x05(3x04) Katherine in Elena clothes and Damon didn’t find that out(but writers telling us that D loved E back then). Or when Elena without humanity acted like Katherine? He liked that Elena, they spent time in bar, they kissing and Elena fooling him(like Katherine did before). Or my favorite - Katherine in Elena’s body. How you can’t find out that it’s not the girl you fall in love with? They spent whole summer together, started dating almost 6 month ago and still you don’t know her? It’s a bullshit. “You should’ve been the one who notice that I’m Katherine, that Katherine was in my body.” He didn’t notice maybe bc he doesn’t know the difference? I always thought that Damon fall in love with his “illusion” of Elena. For real DE doesn’t know each other. When E needs someone to talk she went to Stefan, when D needs someone - he went straight to Bonnie.
