So apparently Lyssa: Goddess of Rage, that game that probably uses AI generated art, has rebranded itself to "Lyssa: Goddess of LOVE"?  And that apparently just means taking the exact same picture from the Cammy from Wish ad and turning it into a vacuum-sealed latex Nazi woman???
Also, apparently if you look for Saints Row videos on YouTube, their wise and all-knowing algorithm thinks that means you want AI-generated Nazi waifus. -_o This future sucks.
(Ad for Lyssa: Goddess of LOVE, Panoramik Games)

Because I've seen people asking for it, here's all the information I have (and have made) for the PTN Goddess!AU. Keep in mind it's still in development, meaning I'm happy to hear people's ideas and input and I'll probably change things up from them.
CW: PTN Goddess!AU under the cut.
For this AU I'm using Greek Gods & Goddesses specifically. Mainly because I know about them the most and plus this was inspired by Chameleon, Chelsea, & Cabernet's Greek inspired attires.
Before I go into information on the PTN women, here's stuff to know about the Reader; They are a human who devotes their life to worshipping the Gods. So much so that's caught the attention of a few. They are devout and loyal to their Goddesses, worshipping not just at their shrines, but worshipping them in the bedroom as well.
Next, here's the women I don't have anything set up for yet (have chosen a Greek God they could be). So, would love to hear opinions on these women; Eleven, K.K., Macchiato, McQueen, Pricilla, Shalom, Stargazer, & Uni.
Now, here's a list of the other women and the Gods they represent in this AU;
✧ ADELA: Hades, God of the Underworld, the dead and riches.
✧ ANNE: Asclepius, God of healing and medicine.

research!! this time actea and lyssa! there wasn’t much I found for this beyond what most people probably know already but if you don’t. now you will know!
so as you may know actea and lyssa is based on the greek legend of the hunter Actaeon. as with much mythology like this, there are various different accounts of how exactly the story goes, but the general idea is that a hunter called Actaeon commits some perceived transgression against the goddess Artemis (the greek god of hunting and the moon). Artemis is enraged, and turns Actaeon into a stag, whereupon he is hunted and killed by his own hunting hounds, who have been possessed by Lyssa (also known as Lytta by Athenians, Lyssa is the personification of mad rage, frenzy and rabies) (Lyssa also features in another myth the mechanisms cover: she is the one who Hera calls upon to drive Heracles into a mad rage, causing him to kill his family, a myth covered in the song ‘Favoured Son’, though in the mechs’ version neither Hera nor Lyssa are mentioned to my knowledge)
accounts of what motivated Artemis’ wrath vary, but it seems the most popular version is one in which Actaeon comes across Artemis bathing and cannot look away due to her godly beauty. this seems to be the Hellenistic poet Callimachus’ version, and of course the version recounted in the song. however, the song lyric ‘beat the hunter at her own game’ may reference the version in which Actaeon is punished for boasting that he is a better hunter than Artemis herself.
the idea of Lyssa being someone who cares deeply for Actea and does not want to kill her also reminds me of one version where the hounds are distraught afterwards and Chiron (the centaur who trained Actaeon) made a statue of him to calm them
hope this was interesting :)

The Land of Immortelles and Iridium
A desolate husk of a world. A mass grave of a civilization, littered with shining silver iridium flowers plunged into the earth as a supposed sign of reverence. A cruel mockery of honor as the warped metal radiates with destructive magic, amplifying all energy nearby to the point of obliteration.
The nails of this coffin world have been planted long ago.
Welcome to LOIAI. The Land of Immortelles and Iridium.
LOIAI is an endless graveyard of dusty hills, smothered skies, blasted out ruins, and the ominous and eternal presence of the iridium immortelles. This blasted world was once a thriving garden, an eternal paradise of eden, and remnants can still be found. Sequestered in burrows and caves remain the last vestiges of nature. Hauntingly still gardens that have long since withered. These remains form the root and stem of the immortelles above.
It's a mystery as to how exactly the world fell into ruin, but even the most cursory glance will lead you to the culprit. The iridium flower sculptures poison everything around them, mind, body, and soul.
Corruption made manifest.
There is a peculiar trace of magic that emanates from the flowers, forming a latticework of arcane energy that runs through the earth and sky. While other things may crumble, the iridium composition allows it to remain. Twisted and eternal. It not only brings misery, but seems to feed on it in return. The more anger, hate, and pain it finds, the more they grow.
But it was not always this way. Beneath the waves of ash, buried far below the crust of the world, deep roots cross and intersect, leading to places foul and unknown. Whatever great tragedy swept across this land, it grew from deep, deep underground… down where the light of Skaia will never reach. Down into the suffocating darkness where only the most ancient of horrors lie.
The Maid of Rage must scour the land, fending off the constant force of corruption from the iridium immortelles, and combat the constant source of pain, misery, and anguish radiating out from the core of the planet. Only then, when they find the heart of suffering, can the world be made whole again.
But it’s an awful long way down…
Denizen: Lyssa, Greek goddess of rage.
Features
The Roots of Misery
About halfway through the top layer of the planet one would find something of a cage. A vast, interconnected sprawl of metallic wire and bars, keeping anything below in and anything above, out. These roots are where the iridium immortelles spring up from, drilling their way to the surface to spread ever further.
These roots form a dense and treacherous biome and mark a turning point for LOIAI. While the world above is certainly dreadful, down below is so much worse. The Deep Dark. The distance between Hades and Tartarus. While the world above may be a graveyard of destructive magic, down below is an eternal prison, containing all the evils and sorrows of the world.
Here there are monsters.
The Pit of Despair
A place just beyond the precipice/cage that is the Roots of Misery. A yawning void, a chasm of incredible space, far larger than anyone would ever expect. It is the end. The gaping maw of infinity. Time and space seem to fall away here, unwinding oneself from distance, direction, and duration. Clocks and compasses cease to function and, more often than not, shatter entirely.
Everything about the pit is oppressive. The heavy weight of the air, the grim shadows that lurk around each corner. Even many of Sburb’s functions such as instant messaging and alchemizing can refuse to work down there.
There is only you. And the horrors that the Pit holds.
Good luck.

Okay, so ik some people see Toby as being a child of Ares if he were a demigod, and others a son of Apollo.
However, I stand before you with an alternative:
Tobias Erin Rogers as a child of Lyssa, the goddess of madness, rage, and rabies. (Magic lesbianism resulted in Toby, BTW. Because we gotta have Connie in here, she's my girl istg)

Lost Chinese Lore: Balthazar, the god who is more than just rage
Preface
Last year, I began a project to dig through the Guild Wars 1 websites of all the languages, mostly hoping to recover trailers that were lost to time (mostly successfully too). I also found some lore articles that weren't available to western audiences. Such articles were known to exist - mainly lore on Abaddon for Nightfall, fan translations here and here - and those were later (mostly?) canonized by ArenaNet in Guild Wars 2.
Recently, I shared a translation of the lore article on Lyssa, Abaddon, and Dwayna. At first I thought that would be the end of it, as the9.com's pages for Balthazar, Grenth, and Melnadru weren't saved by web.archive.org. Luckily, with some assistance, I found another site that basically re-published every article by the9, including those three. And thus, today I bring to you the article on Balthazr. Similar to Dwayna, this has a story that is almost completely new, and pretty much is a sequel to her Scriptures story. It's also the second canonical GW1-era case of Balthazar having anger issues, alongside Kaolai's story.
Disclaimer: While there is overlap  with canon lore, there is no guarantee this is all canon as well. China  is known to have had alterations to the story to account for regulations  in that nation, so it is unclear how much of this is expanded canon or  simply reworked for China and thus non-canon.
For those who would like to see the original text and do their own translation: https://web.archive.org/web/20070410043135/http://gw.the9.com/news/main/58229.shtml

Faith and Gods in the Battle - The God of War and the God of Fire
About Balthazar
Balthazar is the god of war and fire in the world of Guild Wars (GW) and possesses unspeakable power. He symbolizes courage, strength, boldness and conquest. He is a hot-tempered god, and in most cases, even the other gods try to avoid head-on conflicts with him, because Balthazar is terrifying when angry.
Warriors and elementalists who are proficient in fire magic are the most loyal servants and worshipers of Balthazar. They believe that Balthazar can not only bring them strength, but also victory. Those generals and guild leaders who believed in Balthazar saw the prayer ceremony to him before the battle as an essential part of winning, and if they could get his blessing, they would control the war. In addition, monks also believe in the power of Balthazar. They receive power from the goddess Dwayna to redeem Tyrians, and at the same time receive power from Balthazar to punish sin.
Compared to the other gods, Balthazar is often seen on Tyria, so many people have seen his face. He has a terrifying appearance: his body is in a state of eternal burning and he holds a huge greatsword in his hand, which is long enough to plunge from the sky to the ground. He also wears the world's strongest armor, making him even more invincible. In addition, two dogs follow him, their names are "Glory" and "Splendor," and they are extremely loyal to Balthazar, making them very reliable assistants.
Worshipers of Balthazar
There are not too many restrictions on the worshipers of Balthazar, and almost everyone who needs to go into battle will pray devoutly for the blessing of Balthazar. Therefore, in the world of Guild Wars (GW), across almost every inch of land one can easily find many worshipers of Balthazar.
There have been many people who have benefited from Balthazar in the guild warfare. He does not often intervene in earthly battles, but will not lose the opportunity to make those who defy the gods suffer. In certain crucial battles, he appeared at critical moments and brought victory through his power and determination, thus turning the tide of war. On the battlefield, when people hear the loud thunder from far away, they will think that it is the roar of Balthazar and this thunder will inspire the warriors to fight bravely for victory.
There are many famous worshipers of Balthazar in the world of GW, such as the warrior Devona of Ascalon. The most devoted worshipers of Balthazar have high demands on themselves. They devote a great deal of time every day to the painstaking training, strengthening themselves both physically and spiritually. Sometimes, they demand more spiritually than physically and those who have great strength but lack mental fortitude are considered unqualified "Balthazar worshipers". A true warrior must be able to ignore death, whether it is the enemy's or his own.
The Story of Balthazar
The battle raged on.The soldiers' armor were worn and tattered, and their morale was in decline. In that moment, Balthazar, the god of war and fire, appeared in front of the soldiers. His voice was like a thunderclap that shook the whole earth: "My soldiers, take up your weapons! Do not be afraid and do not hesitate. Victory is at hand, show your courage!" In an instant, hundreds of flames were reflected from his greatsword and surrounded the exhausted soldiers. The soldiers received the flame of courage and guided by the indescribable power and threw themselves into the battlefield without fear, and the enemy began to crumble.
While peace was precious and hard to come by, a prophecy began to circulate that disaster would return in 25 years. Legend has it that the volcano is going to erupt due to the exasperation of Balthazar, and the thick flames will turn everything to ashes. If they wanted to stop this, people had to climb to the top of the highest volcano, chop off the head of the fierce gargoyle hovering there and throw it into the crater.
Finally, the prophecy came to pass. In order to stop the disaster, the leaders began to send the strongest warriors to the volcano's summit. None of them came back alive. In despair, the aged king had solemnly promised to the world: "If anyone can kill the gargoyle and stop the disaster, I will personally give him the throne." At this, a soft young girl came up to the king and said gently, "I'll go kill it." Looking at Lina's weak appearance, people scoffed at her words. However, Lina said in a calm and determined voice: "I will come back to get my crown!" And then set out on the road to the top of the volcano.
On the crater of the volcano, the horrible gargoyle who saw Lina could not hide his mockery of her. "The warriors who are several times stronger than you and have superior sword skills have failed, and you alone can kill me?" But before the words finished leaving its mouth, Lina had already picked up a filled bucket and ran towards the gargoyle, throwing the water on its head. The young girl was not afraid of the gargoyle, who was struggling madly with pain, and raised her knife to slash. The gargoyle's head was chopped off, and at that moment from the gargoyle's severed neck slowly rose the dazzling image of the god of war, Balthazar. "For a long time many people have tried, but so far only you have successfully passed my test. You have become a great warrior with your unwavering courage and wisdom, and this is my favor to you." And so the prophecy came to an end, and Lina was crowned queen.

HEHEHEHEHE, YOU FLATTER ME. TIS TIME FOR MORE
Tumblr media
You were promised the bad sanses, and I shall deliver (prolly gonna split into two parts, depending on how long I write about these guys)
Dust. I like to think of him as the god that'd be like Melinoë, and YES I will explain why. So, Melinoë is known as the goddess or chthonic nymph that is a bringer of nightmares and madness. Do I need to explain why I link that to Dust? Yes? Okay. Dust is a sans who was driven mad by the amount of genocide timelines he had to go through and the fact that he himself had to slaughter every monster in the underground in order to raise his LV enough to kill the human. The fatal blow to his mental state is brought on when he kills his brother, and bro goes fucking insane, so linking him to madness isn't that far of a stretch. I could also link the idea of Melinoë being the bringer of nightmares to the fact that Dust is haunted by a hallucination of his dead brother, who could easily be classed as a sort of waking nightmare for this poor bastard - also, in other iterations of Dust in headcanons, he also hallucinates the other boss monsters he killed in his journey to raise his LV, which both adds to the idea that his mental state is overly crushed and that he is surrounded by his own nightmare every day. He is obviously not a stable man. SO, what better way to show this than to make him the GOD of the shit he deals with, after all, he's a bloody expert, ey? Ey?...eh. Melinoë is known to bring night terrors to mortals, and I personally can see Dust doing that as a god, knowing just what makes a person's skin crawl. He, to me, represents a sort of silent but deadly kind of madness that slowly creeps up on you, one that haunts your every waking and sleeping moment, driving you closer and closer to the edge until you only realise that you're losing it when you're on the very brink, and even then you're so numb to it all that you fall off willingly.
Horror. Ever heard of the Greek deities Limos and Lyssa/Lytta? Limos is the personification of hunger and famine, and Lyssa/Lytta (I'll go with Lytta for now) is a primordial deity that represents blind rage. Limos first - SO, yknow, Horror's au was struck with a famine for seven years, yes yes, so it's easy to make the connection between he and Limos, but I shall take it ONE STEP FURTHER. Horror swore not to "kill anything that moves" -> humans/living beings (monsters??), so, while other monsters were succumbing to hunger, Horror was more focused on making sure that his Papyrus didn't starve by hunting for him, even writing himself letters as to why he shouldn't eat other humans n such. Due to this, it could be argued that he was feeling the effects of the famine more, and was why he succumbed to madness in the end, which is why he could easily be perceived as the personification of famine ALSO because he lived through the famine, he can see what it does to others and can understand why others resorted to cannibalism, which gives him more leg up as the deity of famine and hunger. He would be able to understand the ramifications of setting a famine upon a city/village, which is why he could also be viewed as the best for this role, due to not lashing out with something that he understands to be absolutely life/mind ruining. He would be just and fair. BUT, on the opposite end of the spectrum, we also see Horror as having a twisted mind and even losing himself in his madness occasionally, which is why he would make such an interesting deity of blind rage. Lytta is also a representative of rabid animals, who also have this sort of uncontrollable madness to them, and Horror is often presented as having certain animalistic characteristics within the fandom. Having him as the deity of something that requires a lot of thought into casting it upon someone (famine) but also representing blind rage creates this sort of unpredictability about him that I think he shows throughout both the fandom's perception of him and the canonical perception. One second he could be really friendly, the next he is hunting you down and trying to kill you. It emphasises his broken mental state and that is positively delicious to my brain. THERE IS MORE TO COME, SO KEEP AN EYE OUT (you can find what is basically a masterpost of this headcanon series here)

Character Intro: Eris (Kingdom of Ichor)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nicknames- She-Witch by Eileithyia
Bringer of Chaos by the people of Olympius
Age- 16 (immortal)
Location- Little Sparta, New Olympus
Personality- Eris is very dark, introverted, and unpredictable. She has a twisted sarcastic sense of humor, viewing herself as a non-conformist. She likes to stir up trouble. She’s single & is currently not on speaking terms with either of with her parents.
She has the standard abilities of a goddess. As the goddess of strife & discord, her abilities include shapeshifting as well as being able to communicate with venomous snakes and some nocturne creatures, curse inducement, pyrokinesis (her fire burns a rich golden red), limited umbrakinesis, being able to induce arguments, riots, disasters, & calamities, and flight (due to her vulture like wings). She can also manipulate people’s emotions- varying from anger to envy. She can also generate strong wind currents when emotionally heightened.
Eris was ecstatic when she stopped physically aging after she turned sixteen. She was free to live on her own. She lives in a loft in the Little Sparta neighborhood of New Olympus. Inside, there are colors of gold, red, & black with lots of eccentric prints and patterns on leather furniture. She has a pet dragon- a girl named Anarchy.
Out of all her siblings, she's the closest to Ares (god of war). She travels to Themyscira & Sparta sometimes to see him, sleeping over at his apartment (also in Little Sparta) too. They love to wreak havoc and cause trouble. They got into many shenanigans- including throwing up graffiti on the back of one of Athena’s libraries, blowing up one of Hermes’ casinos, drag racing alongside Dionysus, destroying two square blocks and even defacing the statue of their father near the Lightning Harbor.
Eris keeps her social circle small. Her best friend is Lyssa (goddess of rage & frenzy). She’s also cool with Hecate (goddess of magic & witchcraft), Lykos (goddess of wolves), Ailuros (goddess of cats & warfare), Nemesis (goddess of retribution), Diochetévo, Alala (goddess of the war cry), Nike (goddess of victory), Bia (goddess of force & power), Methe (goddess of drunkenness), Circe (goddess of sorcery), Achlys (goddess of the death mist, poison, misery, & sadness), and her uncle Hades. She's even a part of Bia's semi-pro wrestling team. She's also cool with two of her brother's best friends- Kratos (god of strength) and Zelus (god of envy, jealousy, & zeal).
In the patheon, she greatly admires Nyx (goddess of the night), Kakia (goddess of vice & moral wrongdoing), Atë (goddess of mischief, ruin, blind folly, delusion, & downfall of heroes), and Hybris (goddess of insolence, hubris, & reckless pride as well as Koros (god of surfeit & disdain); and his band Dissonance Machine. Eris' mentor was Enyo (goddess of war, destruction, bloodlust, & devastation).
Her go-to drink is a hard apple cider beer. She also likes dark cherry cola, appletinis, rum and cokes, black tea, & her usual from The Roasted Bean is a large chocolate mocha.
She has even dog-sat Cerberus a few times.
Eris can't even bear to be in the same room as her parents Zeus (god of the sky, thunder, & lightning) and Hera (goddess of women & marriage).
She does like gold roses!
Eris is aware of her very low approval rating in Olympius, but appreciates her "rebels" on Fatestagram.
Her go-to order from The Hearthside Diner is the fasolatha (bean soup), lamb gyros (with spicy tzatziki sauce), and roast pumpkin & feta croquettes- washing it down with a caramel almond milkshake. Eris also likes the spicy buffalo chicken sandwich (with extra blue cheese sauce) from The Bread Box.
One of her favorite desserts is the apple strudel from Hollyhock's Bakery. Her second favorite is the apple pie!
A favorite treat of hers are the caramel coated apples from The Frozen Spoon!
She and Ares are also a musical duo called Discordic Harmony. They both rap and sing with alternative, sadcore, & trip hop being their musical genres. They haven't released a full album- just singles. They've been nominated for nine Golden Laurels!
Even though she views them as annoying spoiled "Hera Clones," she does care for her younger sisters Hebe (goddess of youth) and Eileithyia (Ella)(goddess of childbirth). As far as her relationships with her half-siblings, Eris is mostly cool with Hermes, Dionysus (god of wine), and Artemis (goddess of the hunt). She's curious about her brother Hephaestus (god of the forge), having never met him.
In her free time Eris enjoys graffiti art, flying (on her own & on dragonback), listening to music, wrestling, mixed martial arts, sword fighting, darts, and baseball. She also loves stopping by the wrestling arena in New Olympus to check out the new matches, especially the ones featuring Palaestra (goddess of wrestling). She also loves playing video games & laser tag.
“To all the nay-sayers in Olympius, bite me!”

Fun Fact Friday
So I absolutely love seeing the fun facts about ocs, and wips, so I wanted to make a day dedicated to sharing fun facts about them
Rules: List as many fun facts about your ocs, writing process, or wips as you want
Note: Feel free to tag me in them, I would love to see what you come up with :)
Mine:
In Greek mythology, Lyssa was the goddess of rage, fury, and rabies that's why I chose that name for the sin of wrath
Kian's least favourite food is Brussel sprouts because once he was carrying a bag of them inside and they spilt and he tripped on them (his ego was severely wounded that day)
I got the name Marge from the word margarine lol
Avarus has never lost a card game
There are 14 ground stones in Avaidia
Kian won't drink alcohol and neither will Lyssa
So far Trials of Avaidia is 11 chapters but there is lots more still to be written
I plan to make it into a six book series
Tagging people I think might be interested in this: @bardic-tales, @bloodlessheirbyjacques, @catharticallysarcastic, @cherrybombfangirlwrites, @hey-its-quill, @italiangothicwriteblr, @jess-p-edits, @sleepyowlwrites, @talesofsorrowandofruin, @writingonesdreams

I am delighted to announce that, on the recommendation of my dear bestie @knightofphoenix, I have begun playing Guild Wars 2.
Meet the lady my Rhiannon Cousland was named after, Rhiannon Caitlin ó Ceallaigh. You can read up on her Irish surname HERE.
Rhiannon was born in Divinity’s Reach, the younger daughter of  Caoimhín ó Ceallaigh and his wife, Fiamma ó Ceallaigh. Rhiannon, Noni to her friends, was dedicated to Lyssa, the Goddess of Beauty, Water and Illusion as per tradition, a dedication she takes very seriously. Her father’s side of the family carried the ancient magical arts of Mesmerism, a gift that manifested in Noni when she was about eight years old. She spent about fifteen years mastering her craft while her older sister Deborah, the heiress, was brought up to become the family’s matriarch in the future.
Deborah trained as a Seraph of the Falcon Company and it was her loss to an overwhelming Centaur force that led to Noni not just becoming the heiress but also caused her to leave her studies to avenge her sister, her best friend, the dearest soul she ever knew. Her parents grew embittered by Deborah’s loss and while neither ever openly blamed Noni, she did feel like she had somehow let them down. This is why she stepped out of her family’s vast holdings to make a name for herself.
Very much unlike her Dragon Age namesake, Noni is driven by blistering rage and the demand for revenge. She vowed to find her sister’s killers and visit her wrath upon them no matter the cost. Becoming the Hero of Shaemor only was the first step towards that ultimate goal. Little did she know she’d be dragged into a tale the bards would sing for centuries to come, founding a legacy still remembered thousands of years later when her descendant, Bryce Cousland, would name his daughter in her honour. It was she who had those violet eyes likened to amethysts that Rhia would later have herself.
But her story has only just begun. I hope you will enjoy her tale as I am telling it to the best of my abilities.
