#Lufe lessons

So as somone who had a multi year hyperfixation and over 600 hours into breath of the wild I realized it taught me a lesson for both TOTK and lufe in general.
In breath of the wild I brute forced my way to improvement and basically never used items found in the overworld. At the end when zelda was saved and there was very little i havent seen, I was left with hundreds of items completely unused.
Arrows, nearly every bomb arrow I had ever collected, LITERALLY EVERY ancient arrow I found, meals to fortify, elixers, good and valuable tools meant to make the game more fun and easier for me. In the late game i realized that i had kind of squandered my opportunity to use these best and deprived myself of fun and ease- I also didn't realize how fun being an archer was and really only did it at the end of my time in hyrule.
When I loaded up tears of the kingdom I had decided to use the resources the game has given me, that the game lets you know you *should* use and the early game has been so fun ans satisfying because i am learning and having fun with all the tools I find to make my mission an ounce easier.
My point is in video games don't wait till the boss level and in life use the systems that will benefit you. Life and games are already hard, when they try to help you I urge you to not to bang your head against a wall trying to fix a problem with a solution on your own.
In life, I can't tell you how many times the solution was some help. A meal to help me think better when i wouldn't take a break, a friend to help proofread, a trip to the store for something I need but could go without. In real life I have clung onto things that would help me if i only used them and saved them for a rainier day.
Saving things is wise, but people die of thirst rationing water (it's true look it up) your resources dont do you any good if you never use them, and you only suffer while you don't use them.

My #1 post of 2022
and slimecicle is everything quackity had done up to this point balled up
all of his lessons and desperation and hypocrisy put into one
he never forgot, he never doubted his memories, but quackity taught him to lie and cheat to the top and god damn did slime use it
but hes so much more self aware than quackity is, so much more stable in his identity, and seeing purpled try and pull the strings on him made him realise that to q and purp hes just a pawn
so he lied to the top, smiled and pushed on. people took him as dumb and empty but as he learned and learned from a first person perspective, he realised that...
to take it all down, he needed to follow qs lessons, get close. he did trust and love q, truly, and he still does, but revenge is revenge
and this is revenge for ruining his life.

2018 truly wasn't my year but this is my life & I have had lots of experiences & lessons that I'm extremely thankful for. For me this year has been weighed down by suicides, heart breaks, domestic violence, assualts & tears but uplifted seeing my friends get married, have/raise children, starting a business (which I'm now running successfully alone) to working as a screen actor, meeting my hero Viola Davis (& telling her I love her & she inspires me) witnessing Beyoncé dropping a new single & album live, helping to raise over £1 million for charities & making amazing new friends & connections. My heart is heavy, my heart is full, my year has been mad. Next year I'll be starting another business (cause I'm crazy & slightly masichistic) & gracing the stage of one of the most venues in Britain (maybe the world; you decide).
