You mentioned before that the people who would have access to Machete's bedchamber would likely already know about Vasco. How did that come up in your mind? Did they get caught in the act or was the subject broached with enough trust? How did those people handle it? Sorry if this is a bit vague but I thought about it today and I'm very interested. :)

I think it just has to be the case, I can't imagine how they could manage to hide the fact Vasco is bunking with him from everyone, for years and years. Machete doesn't live alone, he has staff and servants who do his housekeeping and run his errands. Even if Vasco didn't stay there for any extended periods of time and snuck out the back door to avoid attention, I'm assuming at least the people who do his laundry and change his sheets would eventually detect that some sort of funny business had happened. But the number of people who are in on it is still very very small and tightly controlled. His assistant Vittorio definitely knows and helps to manage this situation, so does his personal doctor, and on top of that maybe a handful of most trusted high-ranking emplyees, which he has vetted extremely carefully and pays handsomely for their discreetness and prudence.

#or something along those lines surely there has to be a way for this to work people have had secret affairs since the beginning of time #if you hire someone #or more likely promote someone you know who has worked for you for years and has proven to be trustworthy and unlikely to betray you #and there's a very high risk that that person will find out your secrets it's better to bring them to their attention yourself #in a controlled setting ahead of time #instead of waiting to see if/when you're caught and not knowing how they will react #right?#and his private quarters are indeed private you don't go snooping in there without a good reason and an official permission #answered #anonymous #Vaschete lore #Vasco hanging around there often probably isn't an immediate red flag it's a big house and people can have friends and guests #plus at the time it was generally more common and accepted for two men to be close friends and openly attached to each other platonically #it's sunday morning and I'm awake trying to piece together the practical logistics of #maintaining an undercover long term relationship between two 16th century statesmen

I do think Sunday is in his 20’s. I’d say 25-27 at oldest (Kinda stretching wt this bc truthfully I feel like he’s in the 20-25 range). Everyone keeps commending the fact that he became Oak Family head “despite being a young man”. I feel like if he was in his 30’s it wouldn’t be a big deal because that’s a lot of time to rise to power but if he was able to become Oak Family head in his 20’s then everyone being so impressed would make sense.

I wonder if he even wanted to be Oak Family head. Or maybe the Dream Master raised Sunday with the intention of making him Oak Family head. I need more lore.

I think that the meaning of life doesn’t have some profound reason behind it, no, I think it’s much simpler than that. I think it’s because god one day saw the sun rise and sun set and decided that this is something to be shared with because no matter where you are in the world the sun will rise and the sun will set and we all see the same stars every night. And I think that’s what makes us human. Not the overly spectacle things but the little ones. The ones you have to stop and admire just for this moment as you suddenly are aware of your surroundings and realize how lucky you are to be alive. To look around and see that your surrounded by life, no matter how lonely you are your never really alone.

....I have some very strong words to Fable-

Sir- your telling me- your the reason Icarus even forgot about Rae being their broter in the first place????

Bc "he was being ⏃ distraction" and distracting Icarus from finding you

You modified Icarus memory *possibly* from the As It Is book so they would forget that and just leave him-

So did he do that to Rae to? Or just Ick bc at the start of the resets Rae would've remembered even if Ick forgot-

Raza even tries stopping Fable from breaking the As it is book- yet he kepted doing it bc "Icarus needed to be saved"

So. Tomorrow is gonna be wild. Cellbit is streaming on an off day in order to attend a federation event (LORE). Wilbur is logging on (LORE, ANGST, COMEDY, SHENANIGANS). Depending on who's on, he has 2/3rds of a server to meet (CHAOOOOS). Oh and who knows, is it a coincidence that he's logging on on the day of this federation event? Who can tell ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's Lore Sunday! And this time around I bring you little Chiro but with a twist!

Chiro was originally created as an Owl House OC but has evolved since then and now here he is in his furry form! As I have future plans for him so I need him to be in this shape.

Every story needs a protagonist after all >wÓ

He's old enough to drink booze but his favorite drink is just a good old glass of choccy milk <3

He's a bit of a rebel and trouble always seem to follow him wherever he goes.

Without a mother and his father always busy at his coffee shop, he had to learn to take care for himself at a young age, quickly earning a fair amount of street smarts.

Regardless of appearances, he'd rather not to resort to violence if he can help it, but he's not a pushover.

Luckily, Cirel took pity on the poor boy so she taught him a few moves to fend for himself. The scars on his arms are proof of him always willing to fight for what he believes is right.

He might be a liiiittle morally dubious, perhaps even a bad influence, but no one can deny he’s a loyal friend.

Audiodrama Sunday 4/7/2024

Lots of stuff to listen to this week. I really need to stop starting these writeups at 11:30pm on Sunday evening.

Loved the new Dear Liisphyra this week. I thought that the sponsor for this episode was really funny. I laughed out loud and looked like to an insane person to some guy I was walking past when they said that every weapon box comes with 50 feet of hempen rope.

Season 2 finale of @backagainpodcast! Man I love the themes of this show. It's such a well written tragedy, the dramatic irony is so good. Also I desperately want to know more about the other Soldier. We know several very relevant details about him but very little else.

New @spoutlore-blog was fun. Billie is such a good character, Jessica plays the "immortal child" trope so well. This show really puts the coolest worldbuilding you've ever heard with the dumbest dick jokes in existence. I still haven't gotten over the spider and the hummingbird.

Speaking of Spout Lore, the new Rude Tales of Magic episode has Abdul Aziz as a guest. He was a great guest, his style of humor fits perfectly with the setting of Piss Harbor. Are all the characters he plays street rats with a heart of gold. Excited to see who they bring on as guests in the future. They had Zac Oyama a few episodes ago, I would be excited to see more Dimension 20 people.

The new @midstpodcast was super interesting! Every episode in this season they've introduced another way that the Trust is incredibly fucked up. Why can't we go back to the Mother's Merciful, they were so nice.

Somehow I fell behind on @storiesfromylelmore. I'm not sure how that happened, I think my podcatcher didn't update or something, because I've been listening to new episodes of this show immediately. The second most recent episode was great, with Rion going through werewolf puberty. The most recent episode had some really good character work, with character development for all 3 main characters. I love this show so much.

New episode of SCP: Find Us Alive. A new Dash Two being created is really interesting, we've only had Dumptruck and Hiway Robbery for so long it's weird for there to be a third one. Where did they even get a bird?

I reached the crossover with Forgive Me in @kingmakerpod. Forgive Me is such a grounded show, especially by audiodrama standards, which tend to be way out there, so it's so funny when they cross over with shows that have such a wildly different tone and premise. The character interactions were on point though.

@camlannpod the fairy world! This show continues to have really cool takes on myths. The idea that you can shed a Name simply by going by something else is interesting. Could some random person start going by Lancelot and gain magical powers? The reveal at the end was great too, both from a worldbuilding standpoint and a character perspective.

Man that really was a lot. Lots of stuff to look forward to next week as well!
