I had an idea at work yesterday of "What if creeper overhaul's mushroom creeper.... but more mushroom...."
And now we have these guys and I love them :)
A fun little timeline of the Lion's Mane spray & grow kit from North Spore. This guy fruited so quickly! I'm pretty sure it took less than two weeks to get this big! ( I'm pretty sure I started it on March 6th and harvested it on the 16th).
Anyway, I put a light coating of seasoned flour on these guys after slicing them up. I then put butter in a pan on med heat (you could also use olive oil). I let the shrooms get brown on both sides. 10/10 would eat again. It really tasted like fried seafood.
Bears head harvest! We’ll need to clean the dirt off and remove some of the older and tired bits of mushroom growth that aren’t as fit for eating, but there was an abundance of it on the tree it was growing on last year! Bears head is a kind of lions mane mushroom, and lions mane likes to grow in the same places it did years before! All lions mane variants are edible and easy to identify as they have no poignant lookalikes, but always double check what you harvest!
