Hero Fiennes Tiffin está totalmente bem em interpretar o vilão. - The Daily Beast.
O ator com o nome mais irônico de Hollywood interpreta um cara desprezível em “The Woman King” e um Harry Styles zangado em “After” – e ele adora.
Quando uma pessoa tem um nome semelhante ao seu trabalho – ou seja, um pesquisador de água chamado “Andrew Drinkwater” – ela é arquivada em uma categoria chamada “determinismo nominativo”. Hardin não é como o divertido Harry Styles, no entanto. Ele está cheio de palavrões. Ele bate nas paredes. Ele chuta as portas e grita: “Fucking, Trevor!” enquanto Harry Styles está no palco em um boá de penas, pulando como um elfo alegre.

Ele é bom nisso. Deve ser toda a prática. Mas o que ele mais faz? Gritar “TESSA!” para sua doce e amorosa namorada.
“Se ensaiarmos uma cena em que Hardin diz 'Tessa' uma vez, entre os ensaios e as tomadas, deve ser cinco em média”, diz ele, enquanto tenta deduzir quantas vezes ele disse o nome de Tessa em toda a franquia. “Tem que ser mais de mil [vezes]. Tessa e Hardin estão juntos de novo novo, separados de novo, mas no final de After Ever Happy, eles se separaram. Apesar de interpretar um dos inimigos de sua personagem, um brutal comerciante de escravos português, conhecer Davis foi a parte favorita de Fiennes Tiffin nas filmagens.
A dupla não compartilha nenhuma cena juntos, mas no acampamento base na África do Sul, eles se conheceram. Fiennes Tiffin apareceu no set para ver Davis dando sua opinião em uma cena, vestindo um macacão e alguns óculos escuros. Quando ela terminou (e todos concordaram com sua opinião, naturalmente), ela tirou as cortinas e deu a Fiennes Tiffin as boas-vindas mais calorosas de todas.
“[Viola] exala uma energia de nível de chefe experiente”, diz ele. “Ela é muito boa em fazer o papel maternal, carinhosa, certificando-se de que todos estão bem, enquanto também desempenha o papel de garantir que as coisas sejam feitas a tempo. A única coisa que desejo é ter mais cenas com ela diretamente.”
Como se pode imaginar, as coisas não terminam tão bem para Santo Ferreira no filme. Elas também não parecem tão boas para Hardin, graças ao seu rompimento de partir o coração. Mas Fiennes Tiffin se destaca como sempre, pronto para qualquer papel perverso (ou talvez gentil e doce, como seu comportamento na vida real) que venha a seguir.
