I personally think it is categorically hilarious that Buck is seemingly gonna rock up to his sisters wedding with a boyfriend having not told his parents of this development in his life.

Just as Bucky's favourite thing to do is to pull a smile and laugh from Gale, Gale's most favourite thing to do - he'll even say it rivals flying because it feels so similar - is to make Bucky blush.

Loud, bright, brazen Bucky Egan getting all flushed and bashful, eyes lowered to the ground or to his hands if he's fiddling with something - anything - to avoid Gale's eyes. It feels extra good if Gale can spot the tiniest lipbite before the smallest, sweetest smile finds its way on Bucky's face. Oh, his boy will try to hide his face, but Gale will always catch that smile.

And when Bucky looks up from under his lashes, big doe eyes sparkling in amusement at Gale? Nothing. Nothing beats that fluttering feeling in Gale's chest. Feels like the first time he learns to jump from a fast moving swing. Addictive, exhilarating, rewarding.

i can't stop thinking about how much kids love to ask questions especially crazy ones that adults would never think of asking and how one of christopher's first lines in the show is about whether or not dogs know they're dogs and i think about eddie, who probably never got to ask a lot of those questions because he was forced to grow up so fast so young, making sure chris knows that those questions are valued and wonderful and make him all the better and then i think about evan "i'm the guy with the answers" buckley who has always been so childlike in his curiosity, who would take every one of chris' questions so seriously, who would give long thoughtful answers or go away and look it up so he had the answer next time even if chris didn't remember the question to begin with and i just. they're the perfect family. they're so fucking full of love and they all complement each other so perfectly and it's just. FUCK.

Fuck it Friday/Last Line Challenge 🌻

Last night, there I am, lovingly thinking of having enough energy to write on my current WIPs, when @pirrusstuff and I start discussing cowboy boots. Specifically ones with sunflowers on them. And that, friends, is how we ended up here. Please accept this brain dump of words in which Buck is the local livestock vet that Eddie Diaz absolutely cannot stand, but is forced to deal with.

“Bobby.” Eddie’s tone borders on a whine. “There’s nothing else you can do?” “‘Fraid not. I’ve pulled out every trick I know. Ya gotta call him.” Bobby pauses for what Eddie’s certain is only dramatic effect. “Unless, of course, you want her to get an infection or, more realistically, die.” Eddie sighs and lets his head drop between his shoulders. He knows Bobby’s right, even had a feeling it might come to this before Bobby started throwing him nervous glances when Lola didn’t appear to be progressing. Unfortunately, now, there’s no time to waste on Eddie’s petty grudge. Without looking up from where he’s crouched next to his very pregnant, very distressed mare, Eddie holds his hand out expectantly. “Already dialed for you,” Bobby says, a little too smugly, handing him the phone. “‘Lo?” The familiar voice answers, sounding like he’s chewing. Logically, Eddie knows it’s just coincidental timing, but it still feels like a purposeful slight. “Buckley, I’ve got a mare in labor, stalled. Between me and Nash we’ve tried everything we can think of, but we’re gonna need a hand here.” There’s a long pause that would make him think they got disconnected except for the loud crunching. “Huh,” Buck finally says. “So there is something you can’t do.” “Are you coming or not?” Eddie spits back. He can practically hear the smirk forming on Buck’s lips. “Don't worry, sunshine. Be right there.”

i keep thinking about buck's face after he's told by eddie that him liking tommy won't change a thing and eddie's face when buck tells him that he can't stop thinking about tommy and how for a split second they both look so disappointed and almost resigned in a way and i don't think it was a concious thing either by which i mean i definitely do not think either of them went into this conversation hoping to get a love confession out of it but i am fairly sure they both left it feeling a little bit like they missed something hidden somewhere in between the lines
