Eight years and a half is a period!" because this is such an important part of the book. It's when they both truly realise that neither of them is the same as they were 8 years ago. They're not 19 and 23 anymore, but 27 and 31. They both have scars and are more mature with a better understanding of the world and, more importantly, each other. And all part of each of them wants to do is go back to the beginning and rewrite the story from the start so they aren't separated and have to go through over eight years of emotional agony, but they can't, so they have to write a new ending. wukong courting

you know i've gotten by the idea of wukong courting, i think it's cute! like he'd send you treasures from his mountain if it reminds you of him, especially since he has no use for them.

though, personally, i think he's the type to bring over a bowl of fruit! i don't see monkey king as a fan of meat, considering he is a monkey and all, so i figured he's more of a fruit expert! he delivers them in beautiful bejewled bowls that you keep in your drawers hehe

as for jewels, hmm i can't see him much as a jewelry guy- like he has so much! but he feels that none of them really compare to you .. but when he finds this specific like Super specific jewel that reminds him of you, he'd scent it and then give it to you! if lower demons see that ring and recognize wukong's scent- personally, they should think twice if they want to approach you

not a lot of jewelry or riches remind wukong of you, because he believes you're a million times more worth that them- but if he sees or you tell him about a treasure you like, he'd definitely give it to you!
