Ivy smiled staring right at Y/N who was showing her a cute outfit she found in the abandoned mall "America's most wanted women on a shopping spree" she said putting her hand on the girls cheek "Cute" Y/N shrugged "Yet A psychopath" she said back giggling and putting the clothes in the cart and started to roll it while chatting to Ivy "I heard in Roppongi there will be a game either spades or Clubs most likely" Ivy said exiting the shop Cart filled with supplies.
Y/N started pushing the cart to the exit while Ivy pushed another cart that was filled with plants and other items of Ivy's choice continuing each of their steps to leave Y/N smiled brightly while walking through the exit and smelling the fresh air Ivy following behind using her plants to carry them to there hideout/home they found it like it was before they were sent here.
Setting Down there items each of them having their own personal half of the room for just themself Y/n jumped to her bed bouncing on it and laughing with joy, while Ivy on the other hand went to look after all her plants talking to them sweetly while morning light shined through the windows.
Y/N couldn't help but grin looking at her new found outfits "Ivy There's another arena nearby you think I can go there while you check out the one in Roppongi?" The girl asked flooding the new clothes she had just brought home Ivy raised an eyebrow "Why?" Y/N shrugged "I have a gut feeling on something" she whispered while changing clothes.
Ivy spoke up after throwing a piece of meat to a large Venus flytrap "Okay but be careful... I know you follow your gut feeling just be safe" The H/C girl nodded as Ivy stood up from her side of the room and headed towards the bathroom door "Love you Quinn" Y/n blushed and smiled "Love youuu" she said back and grabbed a pair of her clothes and grinned "this is what I want to wear today" She said grinning holding up what appeared to be leather pants, a jacket with one cut-off sleeve over a red crop top with black trim, and a black and diamonds on her leather pants. Y/N sighed while staring at Her hair it was was messy and wild abit grabbing a brush she started to brush her hair to make it look better than when she went out.
Y/N pulled it all off and hummed looking at herself in the mirror posing "Gorgeous as always!" She said to herself grabbing a piece of paper and writing a letter to Ivy and heading towards the door but froze remembering she forgot to bring a weapon.
Rushing quickly back to her and Ivys gigantic room she grabbed a Chiappa Rhino 60DS gun while staring at it intensely and grabbing Two butterfly knifes as-well and standing up quickly putting the knives in her front pockets and stared at the gun she held. The revolver has white grips inlaid with a gold Joker emblem onto it, gold decoration on the barrel shroud, and the cylinder has alternating "Love"/"Hate" gold decoration on it.
She continued to stare at the gun gripping it tightly and started to head back to the front door unlocking it and headed off to where her gut told her too Ivy walked out of the bathroom in new clothes and read the letter Y/N wrote down before she left.

Each step she took she still had a smile the sunset behind her as she continued to stare happily forward to wherever she was going hopping onto a railing and walking on it while humming to herself.
Thinking off all sorts of things and wondering on what she had a gut feeling about she loved adventures and this one she had a good feeling that urged her to go forward while stopping when seeing a blinding light of a screen "Game This way" Pointing to wherever it was.
Y/N grinned "Let's do this!" And started running to where the signs where leading her with an excited looking grin she stopped really quickly by a seven eleven and took 10 Packets of bubble gum and stashed it in the inside of her leather jacket and running off again to find wherever she was going.

DAD NCT A⇴Z HEADCANON ⇴ Zhong Chenle
A ⇴ AFFECTION
Chenle will always try and be as handsy with your bump as he possibly can. It’s almost a given that whenever your close enough to him he will reach out in order to close the distance between you and hold you close against him.
B ⇴ BUMP
He loves nothing more then when he can cuddle around your bump, whenever your laid down Chenle will appear by your side and curl his arms around the top and bottom of your bump to hold you in place. He’s already ready to feel even the slightest kick or bit of movement from your baby and smile about it too.
C ⇴ CRAVINGS
As much as he understands that you crave certain foods during your pregnancy, he can’t help but exclaim in confusion sometimes as to how you can eat what you’re eating. A loud echo of laughter will often come from him as you walk back in from the kitchen as he tries to figure out why you’d want to eat such a thing.
D ⇴ DUE DATE
The two of you kept a countdown in your nursery for your due date, so it always lingered in the backs of your minds and kept you on your toes as well. Each day you’d go into your nursery and wipe the number off, lowering it by one as a reminder of how close you were to giving birth. As the number got smaller, both of your excitement levels continued to grow as you awaited the arrival of your baby.
E ⇴ EMOTIONS
Chenle loves to shout it from the rooftops that he’s becoming a dad, he doesn’t care who he disturbs. He’s very proud of the fact that you’re having a baby together and he’ll let anyone knows who listens. He’s beyond excited, especially when little milestones are passed, he’ll be sure to tell everyone just how well your baby is growing as well as what an amazing job you are doing of carrying your baby too.
F ⇴ FAMILY
Knowing how close Chenle was to his family, it came as little surprise when they tried to get involved in your pregnancy. It was a little overwhelming for you as they constantly bought gifts for your nursery and for you, pushing for the two of you to get things done whilst you wanted to work at your own pace. You loved their support, but there were definitely times when their support got a little too much for you to deal with.
G ⇴ GENDER
The two of you decided to find out the gender of your baby in the hope that it would make life a little easier for you both as your pregnancy neared the end. Knowing what you were having would at least help you pick out a theme and get organised with clothes and other items leaving you less to worry about when your baby was born.
H ⇴ HEARTBEAT
He curled up around your bump for the little moments, but one thing that did annoy Chenle was how he couldn’t listen to the beat of your baby’s heart so easily when you were at home. He hated that your appointments were the only time when he could the beat of your baby’s heart as he loved listening to it so much.
I ⇴ “I LOVE YOU”
After a day at work, Chenle would often greet you and let you know that he loved you whilst asking how your day was. He hated leaving you by yourself, and so when he came home a night, he was always quick to assure you that he was back and ready to help you and support you whenever you needed him to.
J ⇴ JEALOUSY
If he feels someone is overstepping the mark, including his own family at times, Chenle won’t be afraid to let them know and put them in their place. He’s not afraid to voice his jealousy, even if he’ll argue with you that it’s not jealousy but him just caring about you. He likes to be the one in charge and the main person around you to support you, so when others try, he’ll be sure to push them right back to where they need to be.
K ⇴ KICKS
Whilst he couldn’t hear your baby’s heartbeat so easily at home, Chenle could feel their little kicks most nights with little difficulty which he absolutely loved. He refused to go to sleep at night until he had felt at least a couple of kicks from your baby to leave him falling asleep with a wide smile of excitement on his face.
L ⇴ LABOUR
He was incredibly supportive during your labour and stayed by your side throughout. You didn’t want anyone else in the room but Chenle, and so he knew that it was on his shoulders to be there for you. Although there were times when he wished to run away and stop seeing you in so much pain, but Chenle knew that his own feelings didn’t matter whilst he was in that room and that his focus had to be on you.
M ⇴ MORNING SICKNESS
Chenle was far from a fan of sickness, but he was a fan of being there for you, and so he tried his hardest to forget about the fact that you were throwing up beside you when he found you most mornings and instead focus on the fact that you needed him and that there was no way he was going to leave you all alone.
N ⇴ NURSERY
The two of you loved designing your nursery together and recreating the things that you loved when you were growing up. It was somewhere you knew your baby would love, and a place the two of you fell in love with too.
O ⇴ OBSESSION
He was obsessed with your hold, Chenle loved when you’d go in search of him for a hug and try and wrap your body around him whilst also trying to manoeuvre your bump around as best as you could to reach him.
P ⇴ POST BIRTH
Chenle was very sceptical for the first few days after your labour and very rarely let you walk around without him being in tow of him. Despite your assurances that nothing bad would happen to you, he’d preferred to be safe than sorry and would keep an eye on you just in case anything did happen whilst he wasn’t around.
Q ⇴ QUESTIONS
He often reads up about different techniques that can help in pregnancy that he could try out, but he’ll never do any of them without asking for your permission first and making sure that you’re willing to give it a try too.
R ⇴ RANDOM FACTS
Throughout your pregnancy Chenle tries to hold onto as much as possible in order to make an album of the nine months. With it being your first baby, Chenle was determined to remember as much as possible and so would find as many material things as he could that he could collate into the perfect memory book.
S ⇴ SCANS
Although he loved receiving scan photos and being able to look over how well your baby was growing, your scans weren’t actually too big of a deal for Chenle. He much preferred physical signs from your baby rather than things like scan photos, things like kicks and wriggles were much more precious to him.
T ⇴ TEST
The two of you had guessed for a little while that something wasn’t quite right with you, and so when Chenle suggested pregnancy, you thought it would be best to rule it out, although that didn’t quite go to plan.
U ⇴ ULTRASOUND
He always made sure to clear his schedule for your appointments, work was never as important as an appointment and being there for you.
V ⇴ VISITS
It didn’t take long before his family were asking when they could visit, and whilst Chenle didn’t want to overwhelm you with them visiting, it didn’t take long before you encouraged him to let them round to meet your new addition.
W ⇴ WAITING
Chenle can certainly get frustrated at times when he realises just how long he still has to wait before your due date comes around.
X ⇴ XXXX
When there is no distance between you both, it’s almost a given that Chenle will press a kiss or two against your cheek too. He can’t help himself when it comes to giving you affection and making sure that you feel loved.
Y ⇴ YOU
You were his partner in crime, the two of you were in this together as a team.
Z ⇴ ZZZ
If he falls asleep by your bump at night whilst waiting for kicks, Chenle will always make sure to hold onto it tightly and try and support some of the weight so that it’s easier for you to fall asleep and rest with.

F - What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom?
Given that I only learned about the existence of fandom as a concept in late 2016, the longest I’ve ever been in a fandom is roughly 4,5 years.
G - Have you ever had an OTP? If so, do you remember your first one? Who was in it?
Many! Currently it’s Hiccstrid and Hicretstrid. And maybe a little Zelink. But thinking back, I think my very first OTP was when I was around five years old. From the Captain Tsubasa anime series, Tsubasa and... I don’t even know her name... 🤣 There was this girl who always cheered him on and was his no.1 fan. ANd in hindsight, I think I also shipped Tsubasa... with nearly all other players, mainly, Taro Misaki, Jun Misugi, and Kojiro Hyuga. 🤣
H - What is your favorite source text for fandom stuff (e.g., TV shows, movies, books, anime, Western animation, etc.)?
TV-shows, mostly. I prefer the visuals over books and I prefer the slower development over those in movies.
I - Has Tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why?
Not caused me to stop liking them. But in some cases (ATLA and TDP, to name two) it raised my expectations so high that, when I finally got to dip into them, I was rather underwhelmed. It also didn’t help that I already knew the ending and some major plot points. If there’s one sure way to dampen my excitement it’s spoilers.
J - Name a fandom you didn’t think about until you saw it all over Tumblr. (You don’t have to care about it or follow it; it just has to be something that Tumblr made you aware of.)
Supernatural. Pretty much all other fandoms I dip into occasionally, I knew at least a little before. But literally everything I know about Supernatural is from seeing posts here. 🤣
K - What character has your favorite development arc/the best development arc?
I can’t think of an individual character right now, but in general an arc I like is someone (re-)learning to trust.
L - Say something genuinely nice about a character who isn’t one of your faves. (Characters you’re neutral about are fair game, as are characters you merely dislike. Characters that you absolutely loathe with the fire of ten thousand suns are exempt, as there is no point in giving yourself an aneurysm over a character that you hate.)
Snotlout has a great relationship with his dragon. Valka, too. Gobber and the twins are always fun, in their own ways.
M - Name a character that you’d like to have for a friend.
Already answered before.
Hmm... First, I wanted to say Astrid. And I'd enjoy having her as a friend, as someone to challenges me to be more active, to work on my skills and someone to talk.
But I think, I'd enjoy being friends with Hiccup, too. I'd like to brainstorm ideas, ponder over inventions and exchange ideas. Geek out about dragons!
N - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice).
Acceptance, respect, and some common sense. But that’s not just fandom...
O - Choose a song at random. Which ship or character does it remind you of?
My very long list of favoured songs randomly gave me 9 Crimes by Damien Rice. There once was an absolutly stunning AMV with this song about the TV-show The Legend Of The Seeker, The Sword Of Truth (based on the books by Terry Goodkind). I was deeply in love with Richard’s and Kahlan’s relationship, and with Cara on a general level. That AMV featured them all, and I loved it!
P - Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas).
Oh, oh, oh, oh! I just thought about this modern meet-cute AU for Hiccstrid a few days back, might as well write it down here. (And will also copy it over into an individual post, I think...)
Hiccup is a single father of a three-years-old daughter. One day, he meets Astrid in a supermarket; she’s in front of him at the check-out and when he hears her voice, he’s stunned. Because he knows her voice, hears it every day. Because she lend her voice to one of these talking toys for toddlers.His daughter’s favourite toy.
Hiccup always liked that toy best, too, because it didn’t sound as annoying as most others. Pleasant even. When he sees and hears Astrid, he recognises her voice in an instant. He jokingly thanks her for making his days more bearable. She’s confused, who is this weirdo? So he tries to explain. “The toy. My daughter’s toy. It’s your voice. A pleasant voice. I listen to it every day.” He keeps getting weirder, stammers, turns red like a tomato, until he eventually just flees, wishing a hole would open up to swallow him, that was so embarrassing.
Meanwhile, Astrid is touched. Knowing that there is at least one little girl who likes the toy she helped create. And her father, apparently. Who had been cute. In how shy he’d been. And how excited. She’s sorry he left before she was able to talk to him and thank him.
Over the next days, Hiccup would think of her a lot. Every time he hears her voice again, he’d think of her. Her face. Her smile. Until they, eventually, meet again... ^^
Q - A fandom you’ve abandoned and why.
Answered before
None, really. There are several fandoms I grew out of, like Sailor Moon or Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne. But I wouldn't say I abandoned them. I still enjoy seeing content about them.
R - Which friendship/platonic relationship is your favorite in fandom?
Those of the rider with their dragons. Hiccup&Toothless. Astrid&Stormfly.
S - Show us an example of your personal headcanon (prompts optional but encouraged)
Pretty much all of my headcanons are about Hiccstrid in one way or combination. One of my personal favourites is that Astrid has a tiny birthmark on the back of her neck. She doesn’t even know it’s there, she can’t see it and it’s almost always covered by her hair anyway. But Hiccup knows it’s there. And he loves to place a kiss on it. It tickles and would always make her giggle. And she smells so nice.
T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending?
*snorts* No. If there are people who don’t share my headcanons, then... they don’t have to? I can live and be friends with people regardless of whether we share the same headcanons or not. And if people keep attacking me for mine, I’ll just block them and walk away. Arguing about something like that is not worth my time.
U - Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites.
Astrid. HTTYD.

Kaladin Stormblessed from the Stormlight Archives.
I might have a type here. Brave, strong, not always easy to deal with. Fiercely loyal. Stubborn. Proud. Honourable. that’s all three of them. ^^
V - Which character do you relate to most?
Same answer as the above, mostly. I think I already wrote a long answer to a similar question once. 🤔 I relate to Astrid in many ways. Loyal and reliable, not always easy to approach, often prefers to deal with her problems on her own instead of asking for help.
W - A trope which you are virtually certain to hate in any fandom.
Anything jealously, especially it being portrayed as a sign of love or dedication. But also love triangles. Unnecessary.
Another thing I don’t like is when there’s a misunderstanding and they argue about it and get angry and yell and have a huge falling-out... when it all just boils down to them not listening.
X - A trope which you are almost certain to love in any fandom.

Forbidden Romance. In any form. I just love the angsty tension it brings without the characters fighting or arguing about misunderstandings.

With all the critical thinking that’s encouraged in fandom culture, I wish more people would remember Ratatouille and this quote by Anton Ego.
“In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little, yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so.”

Or at least respect it. It’s called entertainment and not lecture about every little detail that is wrong with other people’s opinions. I get why it’s important to look deeper and question meanings and intentions, I really do. But sometimes, I’d prefer to at least occasionally just enjoy something without getting lectured by others for it.

Inspired by this post, I thought I could do the same about my native language since I find exciting how diverse the world is and that here on the internet, people from all around the world come together

pronouncication:
There are no special cases nor tone rules. It's a pretty monotonous language. Every letter is pronounced seperated from the others. Short cuts don't really exist and are mainly used among the youth.
Grammar
Every noun and name starts with a capital letter and like I said above, there are four grammatical cases which confuses a lot of non-native speakers. At first it looks like there are three articles but if you really count, there are six. The basic articles are the feminine "die", the maskulin "der" and the neutral "das" which can varriate into "dem", "den" or "des".
To express if you know someone or not, there are two differnt forms of addressing others. It's just the difference between friends and the unknown or authorities. The age or social status doesn't matter. There are no special words for elder or younger.
Funny thing is, German has the same personal pronoun for three very different contexts. "Sie" is she, they and formal you all in one.
Verbs are always conjugated and have different endings for each personal pronoun but of course, there are also a lot of irregular verbs.
Dialects
There are many dialects and they can more or less be seperated into each federal state but sometimes one federal state contains of three different dialects. But everybody can speak the standard german, so there are no confusions.
It is visible that dialects die out a bit. For example, I'm living in a region which originally had a strong dialect honestly nobody could understand, but nobody can speak it any more. You'll still find some remnants but it's just a slightly different form of the standard german.

THE BOOK OF JUDITH* - From The Douay-Rheims Bible - Latin Vulgate
Chapter 5
INTRODUCTION.
The sacred writer of this Book is generally believed to be the high priest Eliachim, (called also Joachim.) The transactions herein related, most probably happened in his days, and in the reign of Manasses, after his repentance and return from captivity. It takes its name from that illustrious woman, by whose virtue and fortitude, armed with prayer, the children of Israel were preserved from the destruction threatened them by Holofernes and his great army. It finishes with her canticle of thanksgiving to God. Ch. --- He was a chief officer at court, under Ezechias, (4 K. xviii. 18. H.) before he was high priest, assuming his father Helchias's name. Many suppose that he was the author of this Book, as Josephus informs us that the priests recorded the most remarkable transactions. But this would prove that they wrote all the histories of the Bible. S. Jerom (in Agg. i. 6.) seems to believe that Judith left these memoirs. Yet we have no certain proof of the author. Josephus passes over this history, as he professed to exhibit only the Heb. books. Ant. x. 11. Prol. &c. S. Jerom doubts not but this was written in Chaldee, from which language he translated it; unless he caused it to be first explained to him in Heb. as he did the Book of Tobias. C. --- He might, however, have attained sufficient knowledge of the former language, which is so like the Hebrew, before he undertook this work. H. --- He professes to give "the sense," rather than a verbal translation. The Greek must have been taken from another copy, and is followed by the Syriac, in which we find some passages more exact than in the present Greek copies. The original is entirely lost. It might have removed many difficulties. Those however which are started by our adversaries, are not unanswerable. Grotius would suppose that this work is only a parable, representing the state of the Jewish church under the persecution of Epiphanes. But this singular notion has no foundation; and if it had, the authenticity of the Book would not be endangered, as the parable both of the Old and New Testament are certainly true, and written by inspiration. C. --- Luther styles it a poetical comedy; (Pref. et Sympos. 29.) but both Jews and Christians have esteemed it as a true history: (W.) and this innovator (H.) allows, that "the Book is beautiful, and written by an inspired prophet." C. --- The Fathers have looked upon it with the utmost veneration; and S. Jerom, though he was at one time under some doubts, placed it on a level with the Books of Ruth, and Esther, &c. Ep. ad Principiam. --- It is admitted by Origen, Tertullian, S. Chrys. S. Hilary, V. Bede, &c. as the history of a most valiant matron, delivering God's people from a cruel tyrant. W. --- Some place this event under Cambyses, son of Cyrus; (Euseb. S. Aug.) others under Xerxex, (Torniel) or Darius Hystaspes, (E.) or Ochus: (Sulp. Severus) but the opinion which has been given above is more accurate; (C.) or rather Bethulia was saved, while Manasses was in captivity, (in the 10th year of his reign) and the high priest administered affairs in his absence. At this point, Judith might be thirty-five years old. She lived seventy years afterwards; and many days (perhaps eight years more) passed before the country was invaded by Pharao Nechao. C. xvi. 30. Thus Manasses survived 45 years, Amon 2, Josias 31; total 78. This chronology removes every difficulty. Houbig. Pref. --- If true, it seems probable that the work would be originally in Heb. as the Chaldee was used only after the captivity, (H.) which may be farther proved from C. i. 15. Greek. Houbigant. --- Protestants prefer to translate this and the other apocrypha from the Greek. M.

[13] And when an innumerable army of the Egyptians pursued after them in that place, they were so overwhelmed with the waters, that there was not one left, to tell what had happened to posterity.
In quo loco dum innumerabilis exercitus Aegyptiorum eos persequeretur, ita aquis coopertus est, ut non remaneret vel unus, qui factum posteris nuntiaret.
[14] And after they came out of the Red Sea, they abode in the deserts of mount Sina, in which never man could dwell, or son of man rested.
Egressi vero mare Rubrum, deserta Sina montis occupaverunt, in quibus numquam homo habitare potuit, vel filius hominis requievit.
[15] There bitter fountains were made sweet for them to drink, and for forty years they received food from heaven.
Illic fontes amari obdulcati sunt eis ad bibendum, et per annos quadraginta annonam de caelo consecuti sunt.
[16] Wheresoever they went in without bow and arrow, and without shield and sword, their God fought for them and overcame.
Ubicumque ingressi sunt sine arcu et sagitta, et absque scuto et gladio, Deus eorum pugnavit pro eis, et vicit.
[17] And there was no one that triumphed over this people, but when they departed from the worship of the Lord their God.
Et non fuit qui insultaret populo isti, nisi quando recessit a cultu Domini Dei sui.
[18] But as often as beside their own God, they worshipped any other, they were given to spoil, and to the sword, and to reproach.
Quotiescumque autem praeter ipsum Deum suum, alterum coluerunt, dati sunt in praedam, et in gladium, et in opprobrium.
[19] And as often as they were penitent for having revolted from the worship of their God, the God of heaven gave them power to resist.
Quotiescumque autem poenituerunt se recessisse a cultura Dei sui, dedit eis Deus caeli virtutem resistendi.
[20] So they overthrew the king of the Chanaanites, and of the Jebusites, and of the Pherezites, and of the Hethites, and of the Hevites, and of the Amorrhites, and all the mighty ones in Hesebon, and they possessed their lands, and their cities:
Denique Chananaeum regem, et Jebusaeum, et Pherezaeum, et Hethaeum, et Hevaeum, et Amorrhaeum, et omnes potentes in Hesebon prostraverunt, et terras eorum, et civitates eorum ipsi possederunt :
[21] And as long as they sinned not in the sight of their God, it was well with them: for their God hateth iniquity.
et usque dum non peccarent in conspectu Dei sui, erant cum illis bona : Deus enim illorum odit iniquitatem.
[22] And even some years ago when they had revolted from the way which God had given them to walk therein, they were destroyed in battles by many nations, and very many of them were led away captive into a strange land.
Nam et ante hos annos cum recessissent a via, quam dederat illis Deus, ut ambularent in ea, exterminati sunt praeliis a multis nationibus, et plurimi eorum captivi abducti sunt in terram non suam.
[23] But of late returning to the Lord their God, from the different places wherein they were scattered, they are come together and are gone up into all these mountains, and possess Jerusalem again, where their holies are.
Nuper autem reversi ad Dominum Deum suum, ex dispersione qua dispersi fuerant, adunati sunt, et ascenderunt montana haec omnia, et iterum possident Jerusalem, ubi sunt sancta eorum.
[24] Now therefore, my lord, search if there be any iniquity of theirs in the sight of their God: let us go up to them, because their God will surely deliver them to thee, and they shall be brought under the yoke of thy power:
Nunc ergo mi domine, perquire si est aliqua iniquitas eorum in conspectu Dei eorum : ascendamus ad illos, quoniam tradens tradet illos Deus eorum tibi, et subjugati erunt sub jugo potentiae tuae.
[25] But if there be no offense of this people in the sight of their God, we can not resist them, because their God will defend them: and we shall be a reproach to the whole earth.
Si vero non est offensio populi hujus coram Deo suo, non poterimus resistere illis, quoniam Deus eorum defendet illos : et erimus in opprobrium universae terrae.
[26] And it came to pass, when Achior had ceased to speak these words, all the great men of Holofernes were angry, and they had a mind to kill him, saying to each other:
Et factum est, cum cessasset loqui Achior verba haec, irati sunt omnes magnates Holofernis, et cogitabant interficere eum, dicentes ad alterutrum :
[27] Who is this, that saith the children of Israel can resist king Nabuchodonosor, and his armies, men unarmed, and without force, and without skill in the art of war?
Quis est iste, qui filios Israel posse dicat resistere regi Nabuchodonosor, et exercitibus ejus, homines inermes, et sine virtute, et sine peritia artis pugnae?
[28] That Achior therefore may know that he deceiveth us, let us go up into the mountains: and when the bravest of them shall be taken, then shall he with them be stabbed with the sword:
Ut ergo agnoscat Achior quoniam fallit nos, ascendamus in montana : et cum capti fuerint potentes eorum, tunc cum eisdem gladio transverberabitur :
[29] That every nation may know that Nabuchodonosor is god of the earth, and besides him there is no other.
ut sciat omnis gens quoniam Nabuchodonosor deus terrae est, et praeter ipsum alius non est.
Commentary:
Ver. 1. Mountains. Gr. adds, "and had fortified every summit of a high mountain, and had placed scandals in the plains," obstructing the passage (H.) with ditches, trees, (C.) and snares of every description. H.
Ver. 2. Ammon. Gr. adds, "and the satraps of the maritime country," (H.) the Philistines, who had submitted like the rest.
Ver. 3. Them. Gr. adds, "Ye sons of Chanaan tell." He was not acquainted with their origin: the title belonged only to the Phœnicians, (C.) who might also be present. H.
Ver. 4. East. Gr. "west," which seems more accurate, unless Holofernes was on the sea-coast, (C.) or that part of the country went by this name, as it does at present. H. --- He was not absolutely unacquainted with the Jews, but spoke in contempt, (v. 27. W. M.) and wished to know if they had formed a league with the Egyptians, &c. C.
Ver. 5. My. Gr. "the mouth of thy slave." H.
Ver. 6. Chaldeans. Abraham was a native of Ur. Gen. xii. C. --- This tended to conciliate the favour of the general, who as of the same country. M.
Ver. 9. Heaven. Gr. adds, "the God whom they had known, and they (the Chaldean idolaters) cast them out from the face of the gods, and they fled into Mesopotamia, and dwelt there many days: (H. that is, about two years. C.) and their God commanded them to leave their abode, and to go into the land of Chanaan; and they dwelt there, and were enriched;...and when," &c. --- There. Gr. "and where there till they returned; and there they became innumerable." H.
Ver. 10. Oppressed. Gr. "craftily inveigled them." Ex. i. 10.
Ver. 11. Plague. Gr. adds, "for which there was no remedy. And the Egyptians cast them out from among them. And God dried up the Red Sea before them, and conducted them to Mount Sinai and Cades-Barne, and cast out all the inhabitants of the desert; and they dwelt in the land of the Amorrhites, and exterminated all the Hesebon, by their power. Then crossing the Jordan, they took as their inheritance all the mountainous parts, and ejected the Chanaanite, Pherezite, Jebusite, Sichem, and all the Gergesites, and dwelt therein many days. And, " v. 21. H. --- The environs of Sichem belonged to the Hevites. C.
Ver. 14. Rested. This is attested, Deut. xxxii. 10. and Jer. ii. 6. M.
Ver. 16. Overcame, in the days of Josue, (M.) at Jericho, &c. H.
Ver. 22. Battles. He seems to speak of the captivity of Manasses, (W.) of the ten tribes, and of the loss sustained by Achaz. 2 Par. xxviii. 5. M. --- By many. Gr. "exceedingly; and they were led captive into a land which was not their own, and the temple of their God became as a pavement, and their cities were taken by the enemies. But now, returning to their God, they are come up from the places to which they had been scattered, and have possession of Jerusalem, where is their sanctuary; and they have inhabited the mountainous country, for it was a desert." H. --- Our adversaries would infer from this, and similar passages, that the siege of Bethulia could not have taken place till after the captivity of Babylon; and this many Catholics allow. But the proof is not conclusive, as all this might be verified under Manasses: (C.) "the temple was trampled on," (Syr. egennhqh eiV edafoV) and profaned. See C. iv. 2. and 1 Mac. iii. 51. and Luke xxi. 24. It had been pillaged by Sesac and the Assyrians, and had stood in need of great repairs under Ezechias, Josias, &c. Several of the Israelites had escaped from the hands of their oppressors, (2 Par. xxxiv. 9.) and the Jews had regained their strength after the captivity of Manasses, (C.) having retired before into their strong holds in the deserts. H.
Ver. 25. Cannot. Gr. "let my lord indeed pass by, lest their Lord should cover them with a shield, for their God is for them, and we," &c.
Ver. 26. All the. Gr. "all the people round the tent murmured; and the great men of Holofernes, and all who dwelt in the maritime country, and in Moab, threatened to cut him to pieces. For we shall not fear the children of Israel. Lo! a people without power, strength, or army in battle array! We shall then go up, and they shall be for food to all thy army, lord Holofernes. And," C. vi.
Ver. 27. Who. They speak thus through indignation, though they knew Achior well enough. W. - Their blasphemous presumption was soon punished. M.
Ver. 29. Other. This foolish attempt was not peculiar to this king. The great Nabuchodonosor was infected with the same vanity, (Dan. vi. 7.) and was imitated by many of the Persian monarchs, and by Alexander. Persas non piè tantum sed etiam prudenter Reges suos inter deos colere: Majestatem enim imperii salutis esse tutelam. Curtius viii. Yet most of the Greeks could not brook such flattery, though they were not influenced by religion, but by reason, and their own haughty temper. See Justin vi. Mart. x. 62.

Title: Psychological Treatment of Adults With ADHD The new information found: In this article is that, there are multiple clinical differences between children and adults to suggest that psychosocial skill-building interventions will have a more prominent role in management of adults than of children.Adults and children with ADHD come to therapy with different developmental readiness and different environmental expectations such that psychological interventions may be more effective for adults. The research to date, although limited, strongly suggests that ADHD specific, skill-based, structured, and brief psychological interventions for adults are effective. Lastly, there is no significant difference between the age grouping and premarital sexual activities. Interesting and Lesser Known Facts About Rajasthan, India with UTPINDIA
Rajasthan- The “Land of Kings” is India’s largest state by area (10.4% of India’s total area). It is placed on the north-western side of the country, where it covers most of the vast and inhospitable Thar Desert which is also known as the “Rajasthan Desert” and “Great Indian Desert”. It shares a border with the Pakistani provinces of Punjab to the northwest and Sindh to the west, along the Sutlej-Indus river valley.
The state was formed when Rajputana (the name adopted by the British Raj for its dependencies in the region- was merged into the Dominion of India) on March 30, 1949. The largest city and its capital is Jaipur which is also known as Pink City and is located on the state’s eastern side. Some of the other important cities are Jodhpur, Udaipur, Bikaner, Kota, and Ajmer.
Some of the most interesting and lesser known facts about this “Land of Kings” are:
Historical Background
1. Gurjars
In this part of the country, Gurjars ruled for many dynasties. The region was known as Gurjaratra. Almost the whole of North India acknowledged the supremacy of the Gurjars with their seat of power at Kannauj up to the tenth century.
2. Gurjara-Pratihara
From the 8th to the 11th century, the Gurjar Pratihar Empire acted as an obstacle for Arab invaders. The chief accomplishment of the Gurjara Pratihara Empire lies in its successful resistance to foreign invasions from the west. Historian R. C. Majumdar said that this was openly acknowledged by the Arab writers. He further noted, Indian Historians have wondered that the progress of Muslim invaders in India is slow as compared with their rapid advance in other parts of the world. Now, there seems a little doubt that it was the power of the Gurjara Pratihara army which effectively blocked the progress of the Arabs beyond the confines of Sindh, their first conquest for nearly 300 years.
3. Historical Tribes
Traditionally, the Rajputs, Jats, Meenas, Gurjars, Bhils, Rajpurohit, Charans, Yadavs, Bishnois, Sermals, PhulMali (Saini) and other tribes made a great contribution in building Rajasthan. All these tribes suffered great difficulties in preserving their culture and the land. Millions of them were killed while trying to protect their land. A number of Gurjars had been wiped out in Bhinmal and Ajmer areas while fighting with the invaders. Bhils once ruled Kota. Meenas were rulers of Bundi and the Dhundhar region.
4. Major Rulers
(i) Hem Chandra Vikramaditya: The Hindu Emperor Hem Chandra Vikramaditya was born in the village of Machheri in Alwar District in 1501. He won 22 battles against Afghans, from Punjab to Bengal including states of Ajmer and Alwar in Rajasthan. In 1556 at Battle of Delhi, he also defeated the forces of Akbar twice at Agra and Delhi before acceding to the throne of Delhi and establishing the “Hindu Raj” in North India although for a short duration, from Purana Quila in Delhi. While fighting against Mughals, Hem Chandra was killed on the battlefield at Second Battle of Panipat on 5 November 1556.
(ii) Maharana Pratap: In the famous Battle of Haldighati (1576), Maharana Pratap of Mewar thwarted Akbar and later operated from hilly areas of his kingdom. Maharana’s main allies were Bhils during these wars. These attacks were mostly repulsed even though the Mughal forces outnumbered Mewar Rajputs in all the wars fought between them. The war of Haldighati was fought between 10,000 Mewaris and a 100,000-strong Mughal force (including many Rajputs like Kachwahas from Dhundhar).
(iii) Maharaja Suraj Mal: Jat king Maharaja Suraj Mal (Feb 1707 – 25 Dec 1765) or Sujan Singh was the ruler of Bharatpur in Rajasthan. A contemporary historian has described him as “the Plato of the Jat people” and by a modern writer as the “Jat Odysseus”, because of his political intelligence, steady intellect, and clear vision.
Wildlife protection
Rajasthan is also known for its national parks and wildlife sanctuaries. There are four national park and wildlife sanctuaries:
a) Keoladeo National Park of Bharatpur,
b) Sariska Tiger Reserve of Alwar, Ranthambore
c) National Park of Sawai Madhopur
d) Desert National Park of Jaisalmer
Arid Forest Research Institute (AFRI) is a national level institute of the ministry of forestry is situated in Jodhpur which continuously works on desert flora and their conservation.
Economy
a) The economy of Rajasthan is primarily agricultural and pastoral. The state’s cash crops are Cotton and tobacco.
b) Rajasthan is among the largest producers of edible oils in India and the second largest producer of oilseeds.
c) Rajasthan is also the biggest wool-producing state in India and the main opium producer and consumer.
d) The main industries are mineral based, agriculture based, and textile based.
e) Rajasthan is the second largest producer of polyester fiber in India.
f) Several prominent chemical and engineering companies are located in the city of Kota, in southern Rajasthan.
Demographics
a) Rajasthan’s population is made up mainly of Hindus, who account for 87.45% of the population
b) Muslims make up 10.08%, Sikhs 1.27%, and Jains 1% of the population.
c) The state of Rajasthan is also populated by Sindhis, who came to Rajasthan from Sindh province (now in Pakistan) during the India-Pakistan separation in 1947.
Culture
Rajasthan is culturally rich and has artistic and cultural traditions which reflect the ancient Indian way of life. There is rich and varied folk culture from villages which are often depicted and is symbolic of the state.
a) Highly cultivated classical music and dance with its own distinct style is part of the cultural tradition of Rajasthan. The music has songs that depict day-to-day relationships and chores, often focused around fetching water from wells or ponds.
b) Rajasthani cooking was influenced by both the war-like lifestyles of its inhabitants and the availability of ingredients in this arid region.
c) Food that could last for several days and could be eaten without heating was preferred.
d) The scarcities of water and fresh green vegetables have all had their effect on the cooking.
e) It is known for its snacks like Bikaneri Bhujia.
f) Other famous dishes include bajre ki roti (millet bread) and lashun ki chutney (hot garlic paste), mawa kachori Mirchi Bada, Pyaaj Kachori and ghevar from Jodhpur, Alwar ka Mawa (Milk Cake), malpauas from Pushkar and rassgollas from Bikaner.
g) Originating from the Marwar region of the state is the concept Marwari Bhojnalaya, or vegetarian restaurants, today found in many parts of India, which offer vegetarian food of the Marwari people.
h) 4 Dal-Bati-Churma is very popular in Rajasthan.
i) The Ghoomar dance from Jodhpur Marwar and Kalbeliya dance of Jaisalmer have gained international recognition.
j) Folk music is a large part of Rajasthani culture. Kathputli, Bhopa, Chang, Teratali, Ghindr, Kachchhighori, and Tejaji are examples of traditional Rajasthani culture.
k) Folk songs are commonly ballads which relate heroic deeds and love stories; and religious or devotional songs known as bhajans and banis which are often accompanied by musical instruments like dholak, sitar, and sarangi are also sung.
l) Rajasthan is known for its traditional, colorful art. The block prints, tie and dye prints, Bagaru prints, Sanganer prints, and Zari embroidery are major export products from Rajasthan.
m) Handicraft items like wooden furniture and crafts, carpets, and blue pottery are commonly found here.
n) The main religious festivals are Deepawali, Holi, Gangaur, Teej, Gogaji, Shri Devnarayan Jayanti, Makar Sankranti and Janmashtami, as the main religion is Hinduism.
o) Rajasthan’s desert festival is held once a year during winter.
p) Spirit possession has been documented in modern Rajasthan. Some of the spirits possessing Rajasthanis are seen as good and beneficial while others are seen as malevolent.
Tourism
Rajasthan attracted 14 percent of total foreign visitors during 2009-2010 which is the fourth highest among Indian states. It is fourth also in Domestic tourist visitors.

a) The palaces of Jaipur and Ajmer-Pushkar, the lakes of Udaipur, the desert forts of Jodhpur, Taragarh Fort (Star Fort) in Ajmer, and Bikaner and Jaisalmer rank among the most preferred destinations in India for many tourists both Indian and foreign.
b) Tourism accounts for eight percent of the state’s domestic product. Many old and neglected palaces and forts have been converted into heritage hotels.
c) Rajasthan is famous for its forts, carved temples, and decorated Havelis, which were built by Rajput kings in pre-Muslim era Rajasthan.
d) Rajasthan’s Jaipur Jantar Mantar, Mehrangarh Fort, and Stepwell of Jodhpur, Dilwara Temples, Chittorgarh Fort, Lake Palace, miniature paintings in Bundi, and numerous city palaces and Havelis are part of the architectural heritage of India.
e) Jaipur, the Pink City, is noted for the ancient houses made of a type of sandstone dominated by a pink hue.
f) In Jodhpur, maximum houses are painted blue.
g) At Ajmer, there is white marble Bara-dari on the Anasagar lake.
