Yuri Anime 'Whisper Me a Love Song' Announce April 13 Debut; HIDIVE to Simulcast

Last Friday, an announcement posted to the official website for the upcoming television anime adaptation of Eku Takeshima's Whisper Me a Love Song (Sasayaku You ni Koi o Utau) revealed that the series will premiere on April 13. Additionally, on Wednesday, Sentai Filmworks announced that it has licensed the anime and will stream the anime internationally on HIDIVE.

Whisper Me a Love Song follows first-year high school student Himari Kino, who, at a welcome ceremony, witnesses Yori Asanagi singing and instantly falls in "love." She immediately confesses her admiration to Yori, who misinterprets Himari's feelings as romantic. However, once she realizes her mistake, Yori swears that she will make Himari fall for her for real.

The release date announcement also included a new key visual (above) and information about the opening and ending themes. Whisper Me A Love Song's opening theme, "Follow your arrows," is performed by the fictional band SSGIRLS from the anime and sung by Kana Sasakura, who provides the singing voice for main character Yori Asanagi.

Sentai Filmworks will simulcast the anime exclusively on HIDIVE in North America, Australia, the the British Isles. The North American premiere will be screened at Anime Boston 2024 on March 29.

The anime, which was delayed from its initially announced January premiere, is directed by Akira Mano at Cloud Hearts and Yokohama Animation Laboratory. Mano replaced the initially announced director, Xin Ya Cai, due to "health reasons." Character designer Minami Yoshida and script supervisor Hiroki Uchida join Mano.

The anime stars Hana Shimano as Himari Kino and Asami Seto as Yori Asanagi. Additional cast includes:

‘Ugh…this is awful’ Kirishima groaned. Smoking a cigarette while he waited outside the dining hall for his boss and the other family heads to be finished for the evening. Based on the rowdy voices behind the door, it was going to be a long night.

“Kir-is-hima!” The lieutenant lazily looked up from his musing to find Masaya there. Glaring angrily at him, as usual, in his usual white suit.

“Reminding myself to pick up grapes.” Kirishima answered as he tapped away at his phone. “That’s a really good idea. Thanks Masaya.”

Masaya growled and twisted his hands into fists. “Damnit! Don’t thank me you bastard! I came here to challenge you to a fight to the death, now get up and—“My such loud voices in the building.”

The two men stop fighting (or rather Masaya stopped yelling at an ambivalent Kirishima) at the regal voice of triad boss Kino’s eldest daughter entering the room. “It certainly made finding the party easier to find.”

“[Y-Y/N]-hime-sama.” Masaya stammered as he stood a little straighter, with a slight blush on his cheeks.

[Y/N] was a reverted woman in their organization. Not officially ‘on the job’, as women could not be Yakuza, her beauty and quick wit was well known to anyone in the family. Had she been a man, she would easily be the next leader of the clan. As it stood, she would be the most trusted advisor of the next clan head; once she completed university overseas.

“[Y/N]. It’s good to see you again. I didn’t know you were back in town.” Kirishima said as he stood now. Adjusting his tie back to its proper place, now that he cared.

“Father wanted me back for the season, so I flew back last week. I take it he’s in there?” There was a large booming laughter from the other side of the door that was distinctly boss Kino. Answering her question on his own.

“The meeting should be over soon.” At least for Sakuragi-san. Besides not caring for these parties that much, despite their necessity, he made it a point now to not be out too late with Yaeka back in his life. “Shall I escort you to one of the sitting rooms to enjoy the evening more peacefully, [Y/N]-san?”

“That would be nice Kirishima.”

The yakuza smirked at the corner of his mouth and feel in line beside [Y/N] to follow her back. Masaya blinking out of his stupor of [Y/N]’s beauty, to realize that he had missed his opportunity to speak with her, and growling out a: “Kirishima!!”

Side by side they walked back through the less noisy portion of the restaurant, still reserved for them, and once they were out of ear shot Kirishima spoke. “It was pretty mean of you to not tell me you were back in town.”

“What?” [Y/N] asked with a smirk. “And miss the fun of your reaction?”

Kirishima smirked back at her, and even gave a scoff at her teasing. “So you didn’t come here just to harass your father about his drinking tonight?” He asked as he opened a door to an arbitrary room he’d selected.

“Well….” She mused as she walked inside. “Not entirely.” Kirisihima smirked a devilish grin at her confession. Then quickly followed the yakuza princess into the room and shut the door. Pouncing on her almost immediately with kisses, which she gladly accepts.

The two of them had been seeing each other in secret on & off for years. Their families weren’t enemies, but rather amicable rivals in the triad. It wouldn’t have been taboo for them to see one another if [Y/N] was just an associate of the family, and Krishima was still lieutenant of the Sakuragi family. But this was a boss’s daughter. With that came a certain understanding in the yakuza that she was to be put on a pedestal and not touch; aside for the overwhelming possibility of her being promised to someone else in the future.

Kirishima didn’t care though.

Aside from just living his life recklessly until now, he just couldn’t stay away from [Y/N] that long. He loved her. He respected her. She was the only woman that genuinely could keep his focus, and he always felt the need to come back to.

“Don’t turn on the light.” [Y/N] panted in the dark when they finally broke away from kissing. “If the attendant sees the light they’ll come in here and try to serve us.”

“Can’t have that.” Kirishima agreed as he led her further into the room.

There was a small table set for a future guest seating in the room that he led her too. Kissing her mouth, and neck, and the tops of her breasts peaking out from her dress, as they worked their way down to the floor with her perched on top of it. “Can I serve you though?”

“Nothing ‘s gonna happen to me.” He told her. “Aoi-san always said I was too stupid to die.” [Y/N] giggle at his joke and he finished his cigarette before putting it out and pocketing the butt away.

They get up and straighten themselves up before they leave. No one any the wiser they had been in there. “I’m going to head back to the estate. Tell my drunk father, if he even remembers he was supposed to meet me here, that I went home. Honestly, you can’t take him anywhere.”

“I’ll be sure to tell him if I see him.” Kirishima agreed with a smile.

[Y/N] took a few steps out the front towards her car, before she looked back over her shoulder at him. “Am I going to see you again before I head back?”

“I’m sure you will.” He confirmed. Not sure when she was leaving, or when he’d make the time, but he would certainly try.

[Y/N] smiled then went to her car to head home. Kirishima stood there and watched her go. Then had another cigarette to make sure the smell of sex was drowned out completely before they go.

Eichi: I feel a bit embarrassed hearing you praise me again. But it’s an enormous industry – I’m not the only one attributed to the realisation of this “ES Project”.

The reason why the project was achieved within a year was all thanks to Suou-kun, who took responsibility on behalf of the Suou family, and Saegusa-kun, who convinced the owners of the land.

Yuzuru: Hmm… would he lend a hand in a project from Eichi-sama out of goodwill? I feel as though he may be hiding something.

Eichi: Hehe. You might be a bit too wary of him, Yuzuru. He wouldn’t lend a finger if it didn’t benefit him in some way.

Both our interests coincided this time. Saegusa-kun turned the tables on the error the CosPro higher-ups made during “SS” and it seems there’s been quite a change of structure and turnover of staff.

Yuzuru: A turnover of staff… you say?

Eichi: Yeah. CosPro is a soon-to-be idol agency powerhouse. In exchange for clearing out the parasites, they’ve lost a few connections to the entertainment industry in the process.

ES is a coalition of agencies so its establishment must have been a bolt out of the blue, seeing as how Saegusa-kun has now lost his business connections. Thanks to him, the project had finished much earlier than I'd expected.

Seiyuu-ka Manga Review

In every great anime comes some amazing voice actors/actresses. I got your back guys now so sit back and relax since we will be diving into the wonderful world of Seiyuu-ka. I know all of us have its own dream that no matter what obstacles we encounter we will make sure that we will achieve it.

Well the story started when this young girl named Kino Hime was saved by a seiyuu of lovely blazer(Aoyama Sakura) from her miserable day. She reach out to this poor child for help then in exchange, if ever Hime saw someone in need she should offer them some help like she does. So Hime was determined to walk on the same footstep as her idol Aoyama Sakura to the point that she entered in a voice acting school. unfortunately our young maiden though she got all the will and drive she was somewhat lacking.

Hime’s Status

Her voice sounds like and old man, and hermit or an old man again(lol) and her animal’s voice sounds like a robot in short it was terrible. (was called Gori-hime by her classmate)

Because of her voice she become one of the 4 lowest in the class.

She’s not good in academics.

Her life changes when her group(the bottom in the class) performs a dubbing session that will be shown to all of the students. if you’re lucky then you’re indeed lucky at all, she was able to produce a princely voice that charmed even a producer, a guy who offered them some help(kudou Senri- black haired.red eyed guy) and a lot of people. After that performance the producer(Producer Haruka Yamada) give her a calling card and offered her a job. though she wasnt accepted at first but let say she was given a chance to debut as a seiyuu in exchange that she’ll fulfill Producer Yamada wish and other wise the producer will fulfill also her dream. all she have to do is to Cross Dress and thus Hime becomes Shiro(comes from the japanese word Doushirotou meaning Big Amature). the only thing she must do no matter what is to follow producer Yamada and no one must know that she was a girl.

People involved with Hime

Kudo Senri - Popular Voice Actor, Son of Aoyama Sakura, an Extreme tsundere as hime think.

Aqua (Haruyama Mizuki and Shuuma kawai) - popular Idol unit under the management of Producer Haruka

bottom 4(Tsukino, Takayanagi, Mitchell) - people who are part of hime’s group. they belong to the bottom group because of their troublesome unique weakness.(Tsukino-soft voice, Takayanagi- cant read kanji, Mitchell- Narcist)

Ume Ichijo - an Artist who help the bottom group with her drawing and storyline for their dubbing session at school. she was a fan of aqua.

Akane Kino - Hime’s Sister who is a model.

I let you all spoil a bit guys so that you will be tease and read this beautiful manga. just to inform you it has a romance tag and it got the same author(Maki Minami) as Special A (Yeah since Hime is a bit the same as Hikari), and was published in Hana to Yume. I recommend this manga because it was really an interesting one and i know a lot of people will love this. so below is a photo of Senri having a weird face after he heard his father’s words about Shiro(Hime).
