Welcome to HYDRA -- Stranger Things x Marvel Crossover || Chapter 4 - Talking in the Dark
Summary: Keira finally makes contact with Wong, but he isn't too happy about being forced to stay in the background.
Warnings: Implications of not taking care of self, slight angst.
[ Chapter 1 ] - [ Chapter 2 ] - [ Chapter 3 ] - [ Current Chapter ] - [Chapter 5]
After what felt like forever, Dimitri successfully found a dark room Keira could stay in for about an hour. It wasn’t enough time to start a long meeting, but she had to do with what she had. She made a mental note to thank Dimitri, or give him some sort of reimbursement after all of this was over.
As for what she requested, Dimitri had found some clothing HYDRA had stripped away from prisoners. Some clothing had complicated and unique patterns that ranged from snake-like rectangles going around in a circle to triangles and other geometric shapes. One item that he had found wasn’t clothing, but an amulet with a rune. One of these prisoners, or a former prisoner, definitely practised witchcraft. As she was so far up in Russia, she needed all the ‘magical’ objects she could find.
Keira stepped into the room with the clothing and amulet hugged in her arms. Hopper followed her inside, stopping at the corner of the room where he sat down to be out of the way. Dimitri stopped at the door.
“Be careful girl, and American. The odds of this working are 1/1000. I will distract the guards for a long as possible; I can only guarantee an hour.” Dimitri warned.
Very little light entered the room. The only light that could be seen was emitted from the door and the cracks in the wooden panels on the windows. From the markings on the floor, the room was for storage — now it’s a torture room. The smell of damp gave Keira a headache. It had a musky smell, like a pile of washing that hadn’t been cleaned in forever. Or clothes that had been left out in the rain for too long.
Keira turned to Dimitri, raising her hand as she winced, sitting down on the floor. “Could you get me two candles?” She asked, watching him stare at her with a deadpan expression. “Trust me.”
Dimitri rolled his eyes. “What do you want me to do next? Rob the bank?” He shook his head and left the room. She swore she heard a quiet chuckle come from him.
She wouldn’t be too bothered if she didn’t get the candles, but they would provide a better connection to Kamar-Taj to do astral projection. As she waited, she scattered the surrounding clothing in a circular pattern, leaving spaces for where the candles would be. In front of her, she set the amulet. She didn’t inspect it before. Upon closer inspection, with the very little light she had, she saw green engraved into the metal.
The first assumption would be a crystal. Or some sort of tinted green material. . . but she didn’t want to question it.
“So, how does this work?” Hopper asked, finally breaking the comforting silence Keira had started.
Keira glanced at him, seeing his figure barely appear in the darkness. “I’ll close my eyes and create an astral projection of myself, which’ll let me communicate with the sorcerers. I’m too far away to teleport there, or create a physical link, so I’ll try to communicate like a hologram. The candles will help me draw more natural forces to complete the ritual. She explained.
A soft hum came from Hopper. Normally, when she explains these things, people would assume she’s crazy or talking another language. Somehow, he seemed like he could understand.
“Sounds like something Eleven could do.” He said, sounding like he was reminiscing. “She could explore somebody’s mind and memories by going into suspension liquid to locate somebody. She could also talk to them. A part of me feels like she would try to look for me, but again, I don’t think she’d want anything to do with me.”
“How come?” She asked, fully facing him.
“We ended on bad terms. I chased away her boyfriend, who I wasn’t happy she was dating; they were being usual teenagers, breaking the rules and rebelling. I’ve never parented before so I found it hard and snapped. . . This woman I knew gave me advice. She told me to talk to them, but as you can tell, I blew it.” Hopper gave a slight laugh. A lingering sense of sadness came from his mouth. A hitched breath followed by a quiet sniffle followed.
Keira could empathise with him. Before Wong and Stephen had sent her on the mission, she had fallen out with Stephen. The argument had happened over a book the sorcerers had retrieved a couple of months ago—a book that was sworn to never be touched. They called it ‘The Death’s Reaping.’ It was during one night she let curiosity get the best of her and everything snowballed. She destroyed a portion of the library and kill two sorcerers.
The accident caused Stephen to snap at Keira for being ‘irresponsible,’ ‘reckless,’ and ‘a danger to society.’ Not only had she broken an oath to do no harm to any sorcerer in Kamar-Taj, she broke a direct order from Wong and Stephen. Being sent on this mission was one of many things she was going to have to do to make it up to them.
This ‘punishment’ was quite literal.
Would they still listen to her after what she had done?
“I know what you mean.” Keira’s voice quietened. “I ended up causing a big mess back at a place we sorcerers train. I caused an explosion that killed two sorcerers and destroyed part of the building. Not only did I break a rule that the damn sorcerer supreme put into place, I ruined my damn friendship with the closest friend I have. It doesn’t help that we were already going through a rough patch anyway after he learnt about my secrets from HYDRA.” She let out an uneasy breath, feeling a hand rest on her shoulder as she set her head in her hands.
Hopper patted her back, giving her a reassuring squeeze on her shoulder. “It was an accident. We all do stupid shit. . . some worse than others,” he attempted to joke, “it doesn’t make you any worse of a human being. Look, if those kids can fix their arguments and fallouts over D&D, or whatever it is. I’m sure you’ll be able to fix things with your friend. How close are you?”
“I-”
Before she could finish her sentence, Dimitri entered the room with six candles, letting blinding light shine through the room. He held them out with a triumphant grin. The smile stretched across his face, reaching from ear to ear.
“Girl asked for candles. I provide double.” He handed the candles over, setting them beside Keira. “I will return when you finish your. . . ritual.”
Dimitri turned and left the room, closing the door yet again.
“We were close.” Keira answered, setting up the surrounding candles. “He helped me through the most difficult times of my life; we’ve known each other since 2012. . . but it’s been a rocky road. I care about him so much. . . so much that I would give my life for him. We’ve never been this unstable. I just wonder what changed.”
Hopper nodded.
“I completely understand. It sounds like you two were very close friends. I used to be the same. . . I pushed people away who got close to me, not because I hated them, but because I was scared.” He explained, “I did it to a woman I really care about, somebody I would give me life for.” His last words ended with him nudging Keira with a playful grin. “I can hear you blushing.”
Keira slapped his hand. “I care about him, alright? Can we stop talking so we can actually talk to them?” She snapped, reaching out her hand to light the first candle.
With a snap of her fingers, the first two candles lit on fire. As she moved her hand, the others flickered to life. Each one had its own personality. One danced higher than the other, like an authoritative soldier. Another flame hung low and wide, swaying slowly and carefree. The flame in front of her flapped excitedly.
“Whatever you say, miss Keira, who has a crush on a sorcerer.” He teased, moving his way back to the corner.
The soft orange glow illuminated around her, lighting up a small portion of the room. As she closed her eyes, she held her hands and clasped them together, letting a spark form. From that spark formed a square, then another square. Each one shaped into geometric shapes and patterns that resembled the unique shields the sorcerers would conjure. As she raised her hand, she froze. The surrounding candles flickered like wind blowing through trees.
Keira felt herself separate from her body, leaving the bruised and beat-up vessel behind her. She raised her hand and created a portal with a circular motion, entering Kamar-Taj through an astral portal.
She made a B-Line towards Wong’s office, not giving a second look at the training sorcerers below her. It wasn’t like they could see her, anyway. She flew into the wall and phased through the wall, appearing on the other side.
The moment she appeared, Wong’s head snapped towards her, eyes widening.
“Keira?!” He sighed with relief. “Where the hell are you?! You’ve been gone for more than the required time.”
Keira raised her hands in defence. “I’d rather not get a lecture right now. We have much more pressing matters right now,” she floated in front of him, “I’m in the north of Russia.” She explained.
Wong sat back down. “Russia? I thought we sent you to Hawkings.”
“You did. You are right about a mystical threat. Well. . . not exactly mystical, but both mystical and physical.” She said, “I saved some kids from being captured by the treat. They call it ‘the Mind Flayer.’ It comes from another dimension called the ‘upside down.’ A direct copy of our world, but in darkness. HYDRA has taken an interest in this threat and I’ve been working on trying to keep them off the scent.”
As she talked, Wong noted everything down, his hand scribbled furiously on the paper. “I’ll send somebody for–”
“That’s not a good idea.” She interrupted, “I’m currently at a HYDRA base. They captured me and there are people in here that I need to help. I need to get back to Hawkings because if this mind flayer goes elsewhere, there will be disastrous consequences. From what I can tell, nobody else can be involved. It’s a singular mission.”
Deep down, she regretted saying those words. A part of her felt like she had to atone for the deaths she had caused. If she stops this threat, it would save so many lives. Wouldn’t that make up for the pain she caused those sorcerer’s families? She felt like she owed this to them.
“That is incredibly stupid, Keira. You need backup!” Wong argued, “dealing with an unknown threat can break reality and the natural law as we know it! You definitely do not know what you are getting yourself into.”
Keira gritted her teeth, feeling her heart pound in her chest. She could feel heat build up onto her face. “You know nothing about this damn threat either! I’m with somebody who does, and he is going to help me get out of here. I don’t need any help!” She grimaced.
“As sorcerer supreme, it is my duty to protect the world against unknown threats, and you are being incredibly ignorant for not letting me do my job. You cannot withhold information from me. If anybody else gets hurt, that’s on me.” Wong raised his voice, his body shook as he stepped forwards to Keira’s astral form.
She felt a pang come from her heart. This wasn’t what she wanted at all. The last thing she would want to do was let anybody get hurt.
“Why the hell do you think I’m not letting you send anybody? This is my mission and keeping your sorcerers at Kamar-Taj will reduce the casualties. These guys have done this before. Please believe me. . . I know what I am doing.” She insisted, letting herself take a deep breath. “I’m sorry for snapping. The last thing I want is for somebody else to get hurt.”
Wong’s head hung low. He knew when Keira wanted to do something, there was no stopping her. He felt awful knowing there wasn’t anything he could do. For the first time in his life, he’s being kept in the dark. And he hated it.
“You have two more days. If I don’t hear from you, I’m sending somebody over. I hope to Vishanti you actually know what you’re doing.”
Keira fell into silence for a moment.
“Keep this between us, will you? The last thing I need Stephen to accuse me of is child endangerment. . . More like children’ engagement. But seriously, I don’t want him to worry. He hates me enough as it is.”
Wong shook his head. “That isn’t true, Keira. Dislikes you because of what happens? Yes. Hates you? I wouldn’t go that far, Keira. I’ll keep this between us. Stay safe.”
Keira bowed her head and returned to her body. The view of Kamar-Taj slipped back into the room of darkness and flickering candles. Her heart continued to pound in her chest.
Putting the candles out, she collected the candles and rested them on the side of the room. The smell was strong enough you’d swear there was a birthday party going on.
“What did they say?” Hopper asked.
“Well. . . they promised to not charge me for any potential child endangerment.” She joked, “Wong was pretty annoyed that I’m leaving him in the dark, but I can’t risk any of them seeing me like this.
“Wait, they didn’t comment on your injuries or the fact you’re in HYDRA?”
Keira shook her head. “I kept it brief. They don’t need to know the truth. I cast an illusion spell before I got there. . .” She sighed. “They’ve given us two days to sort all of this.”
“No pressure at all. . .”

The Nutcracker and the Four Realms (2018)
Tumblr media
While I didn't enjoy this film, that doesn't mean you won't. No matter what I say, the people involved in this project did it: they actually made a movie. That's something to be applauded. With that established...
The film The Nutcracker and the Four Realms most closely resembles is Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. Like it, this reinvention of the classic story overrelies on CGI effects, seems more concerned with creating a flashy-looking world than a working one, and throws its empty characters into a floppy storyline. Unlike the 2010 movie, this bad holiday pudding by Lasse Hallström and Joe Johnston has no chance of being fondly remembered, even by misguided fans. It’s so derivative of other works it fades from your memory as soon as the credits roll.
On Christmas Eve, Clara Stahlbaum (Mackenzie Foy) searches for a key that will open a music box left to her by her late mother. On its trail, she wanders into a magical world divided into four realms. All live in harmony, except for Mother Ginger (Helen Mirren) and her army of mice, who rule the realm formerly known as the land of Amusements. Along with Captain Philip Hoffman (Jayden Fowora-Knight, playing the titular Nutcracker… sort of), Clara sets out to find her key and restore order to the realm her mother discovered years ago.
It’s essentially a watered-down version of “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” minus the wonder, excitement or anything else that made it good. The residents of the four realms are ridiculous caricatures rather than living, breathing beings we should care about. The Land of Amusements is barren. There’s just a couple of “buildings”, which is supposed to be spooky - I think. Mother Ginger’s army of mice should fill us with terror but the rodents can barely come together to make one human-sized soldier, much less pose a threat. What do the realms need a savior from, again?
If I talk about a film’s running time, it’s usually because someone's overstaying their welcome. The Nutcracker and the Four Realms has the opposite problem. It’s way too short. By the time we're introduced to the major players, the world, the rules and the conflict, there’s no time for anything else. No one has any depth. The movie is about nothing more than Clara finding the key to her music box and stopping the threat during the final act. You don’t get to know her or the Nutcracker at all so it’s no surprise the two of them don’t get romantically engaged by the time the movie ends. They’re blocks of wood no one could get excited about.
There’s nothing for you to get invested in or fall in love with. Fan of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite? There are a couple of brief dance sequences but before you get into it, writer Ashleigh Powell whisks away to witness another barrage of fantasy story cliches. Keira Knightley’s Sugar Plum Fairy is revealed to be the villain all long. Even if you didn’t see it coming, you won’t be shocked. Let her take over the world with her army of toy soldiers (so weak and impotent they make the Battle Droids from the Star Wars prequel trilogy look terrifying). Maybe then, something interesting will happen.
You could make a long list of everything about The Nutcracker and the Four Realms that feels off (Matthew Macfadyen is creepy and I don’t think he’s supposed to be) or doesn’t make sense but why bother? Even if the impressive visuals could make you overlook all of the flaws, no one would ever hold it close to their heart and call it a favourite. It’s dull and empty; as though it wasn’t even spawned by a committee or focus group, but by a machine. (December 27, 2019)

Book Review Of:
Star Wars: Queen’s Shadow
Review: What lured me to this book was the intrigue of Padmé Amidala without Anakin Skywalker. Her life as the best dressed Queen in the Galaxy and then life later on as a senator of Naboo really gave me the impression that there was so much more to her than Anakin’s wife/Luke & Leia’s mother. The book really gave me a sense of who she was along with giving her handmaidens unique personalities that separate them. But where it lacked was the majority relied on talking rather than doing and I felt like the description was greatly tell rather than show (which for can be good for a story if used correctly). I was more intrigued with Sabé’s perspective (Padmé’s most trusted handmaiden/the handmaiden played by Keira Knightley) rather than Padmé’s and wished to read more about Sabé. The dynamics of how the handmaidens worked was quite astounding and proved that they were more than just their name leads on. It was not my favorite book but it wasn’t a terrible book either, nor was it bad. For me, I reacted to it neutrally but to each person their own.
Extra: I’m not as big into the Star Wars fandom or lore as I am in other fandoms and because of this, had to heavily rely on Wookiepedia for background information not included in the movies/shows. I persuade those who are not as familiar to the Star Wars lore to do the same as they read this book.
Book Aesthetic:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
LGBTQ+ Information: Padmé’s handmaidens Saché and Yané are clearly in a lesbian relationship, Sabé’s thoughts prove that she is bisexual and according to the author E.K Johnston, Tonra is also bisexual.
(A visual to distinguish some of Padmé’s handmaidens)

Bex's Book Corner #18 - Part 3
Tumblr media
This is the 3rd and final installment of my recent reads roundup. In this section, I'll be covering my two most recent sci fi reads:
Queen’s Hope by E.K. Johnston
Get ready for some high quality heartbreak, Star Wars fans!
The Padme trilogy concludes with Queen’s Hope – a book that takes place in the aftermath of Star Wars: Attack of the Clones. We find Padmé and her loyal handmaidens pulled in different directions.
Padmé has just gotten secretly married to Anakin Skywalker. Sabé, her decoy from The Phantom Menace, is pursuing her own goals for the first time – that is, until Padmé ropes her back in to be her stand-in in the senate.
Tumblr media
Johnston has done an outstanding job writing the relationships between Padmé and the handmaidens. It’s been amazing to see how they’ve developed through this series, together and apart. To think Sabé only appears in one movie – and it’s impossible to tell young Natalie Portman and Keira Knightley apart. Sabé finally gets to be her own person, but it’s also very heartbreaking because their lives start to move in different directions and… well, we all know what happens in the final movie.
Seriously though! My heart is broken. I loved this SO MUCH.
Their relationship is so important. With the success of the Padmé trilogy and the recently released Obi-Wan Kenobi series, I think it’s high time we brought Keira Knightley back for a Sabé spinoff!

Popsugar Reading Challenge: A book you could read in one sitting (ok, I didn’t read it in one sitting, but… someone else could, if they put their mind to it!)
Similar Books: Queen’s Shadow and Queen’s Peril by E.K. Johnston, Leia: Princess of Alderaan by Claudia Gray
Content Warnings: violence and injuries
2. Thronebreakers by Rebecca Coffindaffer
There’s something deeply satisfying about a sequel that sticks the landing.
Tumblr media
Coffindaffer’s first book, Crownchasers, leaves us with an obvious villain, but I had a feeling there was a bigger bad lurking in the wings. Thronebreakers proved me right in the best possible way.
It’s harder to review this one without spoiling the first book, so let’s recap. The heirs of the prime families participated in a contest to be the next ruler of their planetary empire. The first to find the imperial seal is declared the winner. Our heroine Alysa Farshot isn’t interested in being empress, but she’s an heir, so she has to participate. Things went sideways at the end of the first book and the wrong person ended up on the throne.
Book 2 picks up where we left off: Alysa faces off against the enemy, only to realize there’s something even more sinister at work. The stakes have been RAISED. The theory I had after book 1? I WAS RIGHT!!!
Tumblr media
This book was a masterclass in following through on the promise of the first book. The plot dominoes are set up in the first half, and the author knocks them down in the second half. The result is a deeply satisfying conclusion to a high octane adventure.
I loved this duology SO MUCH. I’ll be looking forward to whatever Rebecca Coffindaffer does next!
Popsugar Reading Challenge: a book about a found family
Similar Books: Ignite the Stars by Maura Milan, Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake.
Content Warnings: sci fi violence, grief, death, blood and injuries, medical content.
That wraps things up for my May reads! I'll be back next month with some thoughts on the audiobook of The Eye of The World.

Welcome to HYDRA -- Stranger Things x Marvel Crossover || Chapter 2 - Work Your Life Away
Summary: Keira learns the name of the American and they realise that they share more common ground than they thought.
Warnings: None
[ Chapter 1 ] - [ Current Chapter ] - [ Chapter 3 ] - [ Chapter 4 ] - [ Chapter 5 ]
To make sure the prisoners were put to good use, HYDRA forces them to work outside in the rotten snow. Their jobs are to create more tracks for the local train system; the majority of the day is hammering and laying down the tracks, trying to not freeze to death in the arctic winter of Northern Russia. Nobody truly knew where they were as every time a prisoner is introduced to the camp, they’d be sedated. The only people who truly knew were a select few guards.
When she was first here, she attempted to gather as much information about the base as possible; she’d astral project around the base, looking through files and over agent’s shoulders. It was only when they caught her did she almost lose her life. They forced her into an interrogation, threatening to kill the entire camp if she didn’t cough up the information.
Torture was something all SHIELD agents are accustomed to; having being trained for it. It was always said that to never mention any SHIELD secrets and you must give your life for the organisation. This was a belief she once followed when she was a loyal agent all of those years ago; but now, she couldn’t care less. She has a better family now
Instead of asking her questions about SHIELD this time, it was questions about the sorcerers — now this was something she would give her life for.
They were the only group HYDRA didn’t know much about. Keira swore to make sure it stayed that way.
As the guard led the group outside, Keira limped beside the American, keeping her hand out in front of her, ready to grab his arm if she took the wrong step. It felt like her body was literal hell; fire burned within, stabbing pain shot through her body with every step she made. With a flick of her hand, she summoned a dim gentle glow of orange to her ankle and side, letting it take away a slither of her pain.
She couldn’t lie that she used magic to keep herself going throughout her stay. It was the only thing that kept her alive.
Either side of the prisoners were metal fencing. Snow coated the ground around them, footprints walked around the camp, leading into locked doors and other restricted compartments. The line stopped at a door where every prisoner is told to stand on a box to check their restraints. Keira was the only person without restraints, only because they knew she couldn’t get anywhere if she tried.
She watched the American stand on the box. The guard tugged at the chains before waving him off. He glanced back at Keira, giving her a concerned look as she stepped onto the box, wincing.
“Где твои цепи?” ( Where are your chains? ) The guard asked her, peering up with a glare that dug into her soul.
Keira gulped, taking in a deep breath to compose herself. “Твой друг снял их. Я слишком слаб, чтобы бежать. Ты сказал это мне” ( Your friend took them off. I'm too weak to run. You said it to me )
The guard glanced at another guard, they gave them a slow nod. “If you are planning escape, you die.” Their Russian accent came through thick. They pointed to the door, letting Keira leave.
It wasn’t like Keira wasn’t used to being threatened.
Eventually, the guards lined everybody up outside. The guards handed out sledgehammers, letting the group get to work. Keira wore a thick winter jacket over the top of her SHIELD one she refused to remove. Half of her face was covered with a scarf, leaving the majority of her face uncovered to freeze.
Clanking of metal echoed throughout the air, stretching from the station terminal to the end of the track that stopped to a halt. Keira rose her sledgehammer over her head and plummeted it onto a bolt, hammering it into the wood. She felt her muscles ache every time she raised her hammer, letting it fall, using those precious few moments to relax.
Her strength HYDRA had given her was beneficial for certain things, but it wasn’t the same as endurance—that was something she wasn’t the best at. As she didn’t always need it with the Mystic Arts.
From behind, the American switched places with a Russian, his face came into her view, causing her to look over at him.
“The name’s Hopper.” He introduced himself, reaching out a hand to shake her own. His hammer rested next to him.
“Keira.” She shook his hand for a moment, glancing over at the guards, “what do you want?”
“That’s a bit rude.” He mock-gasped, “of all people in this base, you are the only female here. How did you get on HYDRA’s radar enough for them to want to capture you?” Hopper asked, raising his hammer again.
She knew this question was going to come up at some point. “I’m a part-time SHIELD agent. Went into the wrong place at the wrong time; they got me for information. Is that enough to satisfy you?” Keira’s tone came off harsh, her words were deep-rooted and filled with an anger only explained by stress. “What about you?”
If he was going to ask questions, then why can’t she? Two can play this game, right?
Hopper glanced at her. “You wouldn’t believe me.” He said, watching her expression shift to amused. “What?”
“You’re telling that to an ex-SHIELD agent. Try me.”
He rolled his eyes. “I’m the police chief of a town named Hawkings; we ran into issues with the Russians operating in our local area. They ended up capturing me and here I am. The rest is complicated.” As he spoke, his eye-contact drifted away from them, slipping back to the hammer.
Keira slowly nodded. There was only half of that she believed. Where had she heard the name, ‘Hawkings’ before? Didn’t those kids mention that name? Keira glanced around, scanning the area for the guards’ movements.
“I quite believe that. But, you’re leaving something out. Russians don’t appear in some places randomly.” Keira carefully spoke. Hopper stopped hammering.
“You wouldn’t understand. I don’t think you will.”
Oh now he was definitely pushing her buttons. She glanced around and grabbed his arm, pulling him towards her. Keira pulled him away from the track to a nearby shack that no guards occupied. Hopper pulled away his arm and glared at her.
“What the hell was that for?!”
Keira pushed open the door and yanked him inside. “Mate. I work with people who deal with weird and wacky shit. If I told you everything my group deals with, you’d run away in terror; you wouldn’t want to be associated with me. So listen, I work for a group called the Masters of the Mystic Arts; or sorcerers as they are usually referred to.” She explained, he seemed more interested this time.
“I was sent here to investigate a mystical threat that we have never seen before. I ran into a group of kids who were attempting to stop it, but it led to them being captured. I had a choice to risk my own life, or risk theirs. I rescued them.” She continued, “they mentioned they are from a town named Hawkings. . . so I assume you probably know them.”
Hopper’s face dropped. This was one hell of a gut punch. He let out a prolonged sigh, the doubt left his mind. “Wow. . . “ he rubbed his face, “so that’s how you’ve held out so long.” He concluded, looking at the bloody marks on her clothing. “Wait. . . how are you walking?”
“Magic.” Keira raised her hands, “I’m serious. I’m using magic to numb the pain. It takes a lot of energy out of me, but I. . . I need to get out of here and get back home. I need backup to stop that threat.” She reached out and set her hand on his arm, “please, to save me the trouble; tell me what you know.”

Keira Knightley was asked about being in The Phantom Menace and playing Sabé in a spin-off film or series and while there is not even a hint of a plan for it, I find peace in knowing that this interviewer has at the very least put the concept out into the universe

I simply cannot allow myself to believe that Lucasfilm would have EK Johnston so beautifully flesh out and explore Sabé in Queen’s Shadow & Queen’s Peril — and NOT plan on bringing Keira back for future films and/or shows.
It HAS to happen. 🙏
