unlocking you just to say how astonished I am at your rage and hissy fits on the internet lol. I would have expected this from some teen head over heels with an anime man but your a grown woman, seething and foaming at the mouth because ppl can clearly see through your biases and don't agree with your takes. wonder why tsuki (for example) ended you and called you out on your black and white analysis of aot? and why so many others distance yourself from you? because you are an angry, biased, obsessed with a 2D man grown ass woman who can only insult and throw hissy fits when ppl call you out and point at your biased takes. this is the only message I am going to write to you. get better, get help and learn to consume fiction in a casual way.
lol, you're the one stalking me, dumb-ass. You and Tsuki are both cowards who talk shit about people, alluding vaguely to them on your blogs and wallowing in conspiracy theories about them and their actions simply for having different takes on things than you. You think every person that doesn't accept eruri as canon is part of some nefarious clique who's sole purpose is to take down eruri shippers and disprove their claims, when in reality, literally nobody gives a shit about you or your delusions. You're the ones who can't ever seem to just let it go and move on. It's gotten to the point where you're now attacking Levi's character and his status as a heroic figure out of nothing more than petty bitterness at people who are more so fans of him than of some made up fantasy romance you've conjured between him and Erwin. You can't bear the fact that more people appreciate Levi on his own, for who he is as an individual character than you lunatics who want to view him as nothing more than Erwin's lapdog and sidekick. I'm sorry if it triggers you that Levi is more than just Erwin's support character. I don't give a shit about either of you clowns. You've offered literally no substantive arguments for ANYTHING you've said, and offered no counter arguments to anything I've pointed out to you. All you can do is make the same, moronic statements over and over again, insult me for my age and accuse me of throwing "hissy fits" when it's you who won't STFU and can't stop following my blog. Your pathological inability to just move on would really be funny if it weren't so pathetic.
Have fun continuing to stalk my blog and then pretending like you don't do it. Everyone can see just what am imbecile you are. You continue to announce it loud and clear every time you open your gaping hole of a mouth.
And yipee, now I get to block you, fuck-face.

Spoilers for Nimona movie (and comic)
I finally got around to watching Nimona (forgive me for taking two weeks, it’s exam season in Italy) and when I tell you I broke down crying when I saw the Nimona “memorial wall”. The contrast with the ending of the comic, where Ballister is the only one who doesn’t see Nimona as a monster, while in the movie everyone sees her as a hero and there is an entire wall with “We love Nimona” plastered on it just, got to me.
And, since some drawings were actually made in the style of the comic, to me it also felt like those were messages from all the people who read Nimona through the years who were thanking “her” for making them feel less alone. Maybe I’m reading too much into it, idk, I’m really emotional rn.
Rather than filling the hashtags with my thoughts I guess I’ll just write a mini review:
They did many changes from the original comic, indeed, but it’s fine. In the end they’re two different things and they’re both GREAT. This movie is the proof that adaptations can be different because, if they’re well made, we can get not one but two masterpieces. The humor wasn’t always my thing, but it’s fine: it’s a matter of taste after all. Ballister and Ambrosius are different from their comic counterparts, but I loved them nonetheless. And, of course, my fave shapeshifter was everything I could wish for and more (yes, this is partly a joke on the fact Nimona’s a shapeshifter).
What really surprised me is that they managed to cover many things, even with depth, and the movie never felt rushed, which is something I can’t say for most movies I saw lately. And yeah, the trans/queer metaphor was really more blatant in this one, but I found it masterfully done, and maybe it should, for once, be blatant.
I also want to spend two words on the animation because, tbh, in the trailers I didn’t like it at all: things and characters felt a bit made of rubber. But I actually loved it watching the movie??? Idk why, maybe on a big screen (rather than my phone, where I watched the trailers) you can actually see the details, lol (and overall it was really fluid and well made). The 2d animations sequences were also beautiful. Of course, it’s no Spiderverse, but I’m pretty sure the budget for these two movies is vastly different.
Also, love how in the credits we can see that the monopoly (who, for those who might not know, is THE game about how capitalism sucks) rip off is called “World Domination”. I love a good ol’ capitalism critic.
Anyway, thanks to ND Stevenson, Annapurna and all the people who worked on this masterpiece (and I guess Netflix too gets some thanks). Hoping this movie is the first of many of its genre.
Edit: forgot to mention my actually only qualm, which is about the italian version of the movie, where they translated Goldenloin's name roughly as "Goldenlimbs" or "Goldenedges". Cowards

us the voices recommends! shows, and movies! part 1
Larva 11/10
this show is genuinely amazing, I literally have cried multiple times it's genuinely the best show in the whole "potty humour, screaming" genre, literally if you can get past the kinda obnoxious screaming you will be treated with a wonderful show that has so much love put into it.
(most media critics are snobs, this show is awesome. embrace the silly and the cringe.)
Upload (2020) 10/10
black mirror if it was funny and wasn't anti-technology, best take on cyberpunk I've seen in a long time. if you liked black mirror but hated the doomer parts and the trash writing of some of the later seasons and episodes you will adore upload!
(I actually hate black mirror, like it's all short stories at the end of the day and I like some of them so much and others can go in a hole and die genuinely. it's the most mixed bag of a show I've ever seen, because it just kinda is such a doomer show like make up your mind on what it is!!! 4.7/10 overall and 11/10 for select short stories.)
dinosaur king (dubbed) 10/10
if you like "Pokemon" and "Digimon" you will fucking love dinosaur king, it has (for the time) accurate dinosaur facts. the VA's for jessie and James! and I think ash? appear, and it's a all round fun show! lots of dinosaurs and crying to be had!
squid girl (dubbed/subbed) 10/10
if you like anime girl, fish out of water, slice of life, funny shows you will love squid girl! many many squid puns, and general tomfoolery.
Siren: Survive the Island 11/10
a south Korean reality game show, where a bunch of women from different jobs and backgrounds compete to be the last one standing.
it's genuinely the coolest, edge of your seat show I've watched in a long time!
Physical 100 10/10
a reality game show where the top 100 south Korean sports people? compete against each other to win, it's fucking crazy and awesome and I can't believe it's a show.
Star Trek: lower decks 11/10
if you in any shape or form liked Star Trek you will fucking love lower decks! it's a love letter to Star Trek in all ways, it's extremely funny and a fresh take on the Star Trek formula!
(if you think the first ep is a bit meh, stick through it! it gets so much better)
sword art online: abridged 12/10
I have only ever watched, "sword art online: alicization" and so that was my intro to the sword art online series. but after watching the "something witty's" sword art online: abridged I can never go back. it is extremely well written, the characterisation is impeccable, it has the most realistic feel of if a whole bunch of people actually got trapped in a VR game, and is such an amazing version of the show you will wonder why you hadn't heard of it before!
the Red turtle 11/10
if you like beautiful animation, sadness, and to get your brain chemistry changed. you should check out the red turtle! it's a joint production with studio gibbli, and is so visually stunning and mesmerising you will just sob.
this movie is so amazing, and you will adore the hell out of it.
Megamind 11/10
Dreamworks cult classic film, a family movie that breaks down the superhero genre and reinvents it into a tale of redemption, grief, and rejecting what people think of you. one of the best family movies of the 2010s.
bolt 11/10
if Disney wasn't cowards we would have more of these cult classic early to late 2000s 3D movies, but they hate fun.
if you took everything anti-hollywood and a solid critic on the state of cinema and tv and threw in some animals, chucked it in a pot.
you would have this amazing film! genuinely one of the best Disney movies ever, and the fact people don't talk about it more is saddening.
treasure planet 11/10
one of the last 2D Disney movies, it bombed bad in the cinemas but it is an amazing film that deserves love.
the score is amazing, the characters are so weird and wonderful, and it evokes insane feelings.
chicken little 10/10
if you like kinda campy goofy movies about autism coded characters and sci-fi, and also animals you will adore chicken little, it's one of the weirder 2010s Disney movies. lots of fun and a good family movie.
that's all! see you next instalment!

in honor of totk NOT winning goty 🫡 here is my notes app from when totk first came out and I wrote all my thoughts abt the game down
-
today totk got released!! and I played for 8 hours straight 😭 I'm not suuper far in the game yet, I sort of just started the rito quest with tulin, but here are some things I love and dislike about the game so far:
first of all I love the archaic outfit 😊 however I'm very sad that it only does 1 protection because I wanted to wear it all the time AJDBAJDB
I love everything about the zonai, like the way they look, the music associated with them, the way they talk at the end of a shrine, the way you can tell something is of zonai make just by looking at it, like that's how you know a concept design is well done ✋ I'm so fascinated by how rauru looks, he's just so amazing
I do hate how extremely similar aspects of the great sky island are to the great plateau, though. "room of awakening" bro r u serious rn 😭 the way rauru follows you around like the king good bye. I just feel like this could have been done a little more uniquely so that it didn't feel like the great plateau with a texture pack slapped over it
there's also some things that I felt botw just did so much better than totk. like the way rauru's ghost would disappear felt very cheap and uneventful, like why does he just fade to 0 opacity and nothing else happens ?? at least with the king his ghost faded with the little blue flames and sparkles, it made it seem more interesting
I hate the inventory layout I'm sawryy 😭 the botw inventory looks very sleek and easy to comprehend, but the way the totk inventory is designed just feels very cheap and elementary to me. not the scrolling on one page instead of having multiple pages, that's not my issue. just the color design and how so much more information is crowded into each tiny box when you are selling things, it just confuses the player with too much info
uhh what else. oh! I also hate the animation for when you get the abilities at the beginning, and when you get those lights of blessing or whatever (honestly I hate that name too, why is it so long I literally can't remember it 😭). like why do the orbs with the abilities and blessings look so 2d and unfinished? they look like they were slapped on top as a fanmade effect rather than actually being a part of the game, and every time I see it, I feel removed from being immersed in the games because it's distracting
but I totally love the way the zonai statues are at the end of the shrines!!! the way they talk is SO 🙏🙏 like I'm totally obsessed with it. also!! this is very specific, but I love the music that plays during shrine battles, like why does that song go so hard fr
omg something else I love is the pony points system it's so cute 😭✋ and honestly it's a great incentive for me to use the stables, I don't think I used them that much in botw so I definitely appreciate this new addition
AND MY HORSES ARE HERE TOO IM SO HAPPY 🥺🥺
however I am devastated that we can't pet dogs ☹️ like was no one at nintendo listening to us when we were all asking abt it hello ??
this is more of a personal preference rather than a game quality thing but I AM SO HAPPY THERE'S PIRATES IN THIS GAME AAAAAAA i can't wait to go to lurelin village I rlly hope they let me join the pirates 🙏 (hi it's me from the future here, girl wtf why are the pirates literally just MONSTERS ON BOATS 🙁 give me real fucking pirates you cowards)
omg yeah I was obsessed with the frozen rito village ost, it had the core elements of the ost from botw but with that lonely haunted vibe and I was gonna cry omg it really set the mood and I loved listening to it 😭
ohh yeah something I didn't enjoy was how it felt like I was being overloaded with so much plot-heavy info, especially once I started the rito village quest. like yeah I get maybe playing for 8 hours in one day is probably gonna fry my brain and attention span but it just felt like they were telling me to do all these things and I just felt so overwhelmed that I literally had to put the game away and stop playing for the night 😭 I think if things were spaced out more for what they tell you then the plot might have been more digestible
oh yeah this is minor but I don't like how when you go to a new place it says "discovery!" and also when you cook a new food it says "new!" like it felt very commercial and broke the immersion in the game for me, there was literally no reason for it to be in the game? (upon playing the game further I've decided I don't mind the "discovery" notif. but I still don't like when it says "new!" on a food I cooked sorryyy)
OMG WAIT SOMETHING I LOVED was how link cycles through humming different things when he cooks!!! it's so cute and I love him for it 😭
also I loved the function of when you open a chest and get a weapon but your inventory is full, instead of having to close the chest drop a weapon and reopen the chest, they added the feature where your inventory pops up and you can drop a weapon while still in the chest so you don't have to switch back and forth. it was so relieving for me ✋
umm I definitely feel like there was more I wanted to say, I just forgot 😭 but let me just say, despite me having a lot of negatives on here, I still really enjoyed this game, and honestly aside from the things I mentioned I disliked, I love pretty much everything else about the game!! there's so much to love and appreciate, I really can't list it all or else I'd just be listing literally every aspect about this game ajdhskfj. so yeah. while I'm disappointed that I found parts of totk to be lesser than what I had hoped, I am still overall ecstatic about this game and I'm so excited to see what else I'll discover in this game!!!! (hey it's me as of writing this post, I definitely wrote this last paragraph to avoid getting bullied for not liking a lot of things LOLL)
hey I'm back (not as of writing this post, like a couple months after initially starting totk), listen ok I hate these stupid sage powers like 💀 they're literally not useful at all, I think tulin's is the only one I use regularly, and even then I'd rather have revali's gale bc at least it goes up ??
I've been watching other ppl play and I realize that actually yunobo and riju can kinda be useful when fighting large groups, like if you just activate yunobi's ability you don't really need to aim him, and he'll hit a bunch of monsters. same with riju, just activate her and shoot somewhere random and it'll do damage. but other than that, like sidon and mineru are useless 😭 also I get rlly annoyed when I'm trying to pick things up and tulin gets in the way like GIRL GO AWAY ugh it would just be so much better if the abilities were activated like the champions instead idk
ok I'm obsessed with the way rauru's ear twitches LOLL THAT'S SO RANDOM but in the memories it's just so satisfying to see
hm idk how to explain this but there's some aspects of this game that feel very aoc to me and it annoys me. like, the defend kara kara bazaar + gerudo village quests, and that one thing in hateno with the stupid pumpkins, idk but it totally threw me off guard with having to fight with npcs, like it felt very jarring to have in the middle of totk. i never liked aoc or any hyrule warriors games so that's probably why I don't like this very much, but yeah I just didn't enjoy it very much
god I can't describe how much I hate everything abt mineru I'm sorry I just hate her bc like,, bro I hate to say it but I never connected with her character at all. every part of her in the storyline felt forced, and her connection to zelda and the sages never felt authentic. also I hate the eng voice acting like why does she talk like that 😭
her talking about draconification felt sooo forced. she said "there are stories of eating the stone to turn into an immortal dragon" like that could be a solution, then when rauru asked if they could do that, she was like "however 🤓☝️ you'll lose your sense of self and it's forbidden. I thought this would give us an answer but maybe not 😞" like BITCH IF YOU KNEW IT WAS FORBIDDEN WHY WOULD YOU SAY ANYTHING 😭😭 the way she said it, it sounded like she was reading a book and learning this information as they went, which would make sense why she brought it up but turns out it won't work. BUT SHE KNEW THE FULL THING ALREADY WHY DID SHE SAY IT LIKE THAT???? god it annoyed me so much, it was such a bad foreshadowing plot point
and honestly her entire quest confused me, bc the whole first part has a very thunder/lightning theme so I thought her power would be related to that but it wasn't at all? like how come we didn't do anything spirit related meanwhile all the other sages had areas that related to their powers, ugh it felt so dumb. lightning is already heavily associated with riju + the gerudo, so it felt weird that they themed the whole first half of mineru's quest around it too.
I hate her stupid construct. IT'S SO LAME 😭 has anyone actually enjoyed fighting with it. has it actually benefitted anyone. like be so fr rn. I hated it so much that I built a freaking airbike and just flew to the final temple without fighting any of the stuff along the way bc I refuse to be forced to do things I don't like 🫶
and then at the end of the game when her spirit leaves her construct and she dies or whatever, I was just like 😐 they tried to make it emotional but literally mineru is my worst enemy and I was cheering and applauding atp. like I could care less. her character felt, idk how to describe it, like.. cringy and self-inserty? something about it felt very off to me and so I was just never able to like her. it felt like nintendo was trying to force me to like her and I was Not about to let that happen
hang on I have other things to complain about... oh yeah the STABLE TROTTER CONDUCTOR LIKE BRO 😭😭😭 why does he sound like mario, like I actually want to punch him in the face. the rest of the band is fine tho, I like their music 🤞
hm something I'm annoyed about is how much harder it is to find the dragons now. in botw their flight pattern was more predictable, but here like istg I can never find them when I need them 😭 it's just vv inconvenient
-
ok I'm back back. I think that about covered all my thoughts BUT one more thing. the map is so fucking cluttered. something that was done so well with botw was the openness of everything, it really fit the vibes and it immersed you in the expanse of the game. but the totk map was WAYY too busy 😭😭 not only with the purah pad map (which btw I still think sheikah slate is a better name) but just in general when you're walking around hyrule. there is Too Much going on and I don't like it
LAST THING although tbh this could be a whole separate rant. the way the purah pad is compatible with zonai technology makes no fucking sense???? like there is NO logical explanation for how it can mark waypoints at zonai shrines
in botw it made sense, because the shrines were sheikah-made and so was the slate, so ofc the sheikah would have built them to be compatible and programmable with one another. but the zonai shrines??? first of all they're just rocks on sand. no sort of technology the purah pad can latch onto. second, you activate the shrine with the ZONAI ARM, not the purah pad. literally no connection is made. this is such a small thing to fixate on but every time I think about it I am filled with inexplicable rage
I have a whole OTHER rant on why the sheikah tech disappearing makes literally No Sense but. this post is long enough as it is. if u want I can make a separate post but I think this is good enough for now 🤗

Kimetsu no Yaiba/ Demon Slayer (Anime) Critic, opinion, whatever (no mayor spoilers)
I’m not a super nerd otaku who eat manga and who inject anime into their veins but I’m neither a noob, I saw a good amount of anime to be able to differentiate a crap of a good one. Besides that I’m OLD and I demand more than a basic plot and cute characters (I passed my Card Captor Sakura phase 300 years ago). So, with that in mind, I will now rant (because is my NEW blog and I can do the fuck I want here) about Demon Slayer and why I personally ADORE IT.
Let’s move of one basic aspect: music and design, both absolutely marvelous. The design, with that new mix between 3d and 2d without bother each other, that make the important scenes so fluid, dynamic and realistic that make your elbow tingle. The soundtracks that are sometimes catchy as fuck and sometimes a truly masterpiece (the Inosuke Theme, with the mix of oriental and orchestral, especially in THAT FIGHT, make you want to scream of how good it is).
Tumblr media
The design of the characters is fantastic. Each character is UNIQUE to the point that you can recognize even a silhouette or a minor detail, even from secondary characters that have barely screen time.
The fights are one of the best things I see in a lot of time. Is not a “repeat the pose 4 times each 5 seconds to make the fight last longer”. They move, they change poses, they hold their swords different, they kick, they jump, elude, bend, fall, hide, get hit, block, stand up. Is a real fight (often than once make you think that the producers use some kind of IRL reference, pretty obvious in some specific cases).
Blood. Is gore but not absurd, the blood has a reason and it looks like blood, it stains, it behaves as blood, is sticky and give a level of darkness and seriousness. Is not a walk in the beach, being hurt have CONSECUENCES and humans are not immortal, they don’t show up suddenly cured and with re growing limbs. Is kinda realistic (when the plot needs it). Be serious hurt and no matter if you are a top master, you will die (cries because HIM) (also don’t cry because some bastard is flexible).
Some backgrounds are so beautiful that can almost be watched as art. Wisteria flowers for the win, they are stunning and now I want one tree in my ceiling.
The characters have PERSONALITY. Even the most silent potato in a box have it. And their personalities GROW with the episodes. Specially Zenitsu and Inosuke.
Tanjiro is pretty much the Goku of the saga. A good soft boy who grows stronger with the power of the feelings and who is too kind to his own good.
Zenitsu is the coward, the Krilin, who can’t even fight in the beginner but who become a badass with the time.
Inosuke (my fav) is the Vegeta semi beast who shows that can behave when he wants, and who, somehow, pay more attention than Tanjiro. His growth is more evident because he passes from “Everyone is my enemy” to “I will die for you” very fast.
The secondary ones are more of the same. Great characters, even the evil ones. Some are on screen for 3 episodes and you love them to death and make you cry for days with PTSD. They have BACKGROUND. They all have motives, reason to why they are as they are, dreams, ideals, objectives, way to do the stuffs. Their personalities collide with other’s personalities, they interact, they have effect in each other, they are not in a bubble where nothing affect them. LIKE IN REAL LIFE.
The ladies are not useless bag of meat, they are not annoying lady in distress to save, they all give a fight and show they are capable, even the three cute childs of the butterflies. They also have opinions, they speak, they have point of views, with reasons, and others listen to them. Sorry, I’m just tired of the “girl who cry and is just pretty” of the animes lol.
Is drama, a lot of drama. The main characters are basically teenagers but they act in agreement with their historical surrounds (is first decade from 1900, so the culture is absolutely not similar to our) and situations (they are hunting demons, no time to make drama about bullshit).
It also has space to comedy. Perfect timing comedy, is a fun that make you smile as you cry of pain or laugh at random nonsense with almost perfect style.
It also has a space to not so Toxic Masculinity! See the main characters show high respect for the womans (and even full equality as Inosuke, who see womans just as the same as men), even when culturally can show the different. See secondary characters giving respect for the LIFE of the womans.
See the characters CRY. They are dudes and yet they cry more than me. And even when some of them are like “no, I don’t cry”, they don’t even stop. They accept they can be weak and vulnerable and not win all the time, and the only thing they see to do about it is BE BETTER.
So, no wonder why it has the success that it has. And unless they fuck it up BADLY in the next seasons, this anime will easily get a place as a Classic over time.
Score: 4.5/5 and 9/10 Welcome to the place of the Best Animes Ever

Finally watched centaurworld season 2 (i didn't realize it was out till like yesterday sue me)
Big spoilers below
I can't help but feel like it has all the problems season 1 had, but worse.
The pacing feels off in most of the episodes, the tonal whiplash doesn't really work, after how season 1 ended especially.
The songs... Unfortunately didnt really land for me. Like, nearly none of them did, I think in general I would have preferred about half as many, most weren't very good and didn't add much unfortunately. The reprises were good though, although i would have liked if they had made Dumpleton's kinda cover of rider and horse song more obvious and ridiculed, like it was obviously a parody, embrace it more.
Absolutely unredeemable in my eyes was the birds episode. The birds in general. The empty humor for a critique of something that makes no sense existing in a world of magical creatures froliking about. The beuty context/drag show in season 1 worked as a self contained "cultural" thing, but the inclusion of "fans" is always something vaguely dangerous to do in a show, and i don't feel it works here at all.
Character wise, I find myself often disliking horse for how she acts, like she sometimes forgets her character development. When she was insecure about her role in the recruitment team. I didn't feel The rest of the main cast is pretty consistent, as in there is no change at all.
Speaking of, the backstory episode felt forced, and kinda out of place in the smack middle of the season. All grouped up in one, they lost most meaning they could hold. Alsooo so salty we didn't get a Zulius backstory, cowards.
I feel I would have loved spending more time with the princess/mysterious woman, we know very little. Past her i think we know kind of enough (tho i would have loved to know how she came to learn of the elk being in the cell and what she did after freeing him, did she go back to the general), but I mostly wanted to spend more time with her now seen as she was a key player in the end.
Also, damn the timeline makes little sense. How come humans don't remember of centaurworld, it couldn't have been that long ago the portal was closed. I'd say 20 years tops. Yet no-one remembers, and in the beartaur cave there's that mural that nobody knew what it was really about??
Like, between princess and elktaur's whole story, elk getting locked up for ten years then the war, portal closing and staying clossed... Thats a lot of time, and nobody remembers, and they dont seem to have aged that much, it couldn't have been that long!!
And finally, while the first fart joke landed well the second fell flat. If adventure time taught me anything it was to value the placement of the fart joke.
On the good side, I feel like the rigged animation is unbelievably good sometimes, idk what I'd do to get my hands on one of the centaurs' rigs, like that stuff was amazing. The main problem in this is when you can clearly see how different the animation is when it switches to traditional 2D in some scenes, especially with Rider.
Also good thing. Becky. Made me laugh every time. Bit of a shame she didn't get to speak i would have lost my mind.
Of course the best thing of the whole seeries was imo the nowhere king story. Perfectly tragic in the sense that it was all caused by his own self destructive actions. I just hate that the package around it was pretty poor.
TL,DR great premise with some solid ideas, execution that left me quite disappointed.

unpopular opinions about your most recent/fresh hyperfixations!!! 😊💖💖
STAR WARS IT IS THEN ! not sure if these are unpopular but
at this rate? i think ahsoka should have died facing off against vader. i don't care if filoni brought her back via time travel or whatever, her character has not only remained stagnant and useless in the media she's appeared in since the clone wars, but in having characters like her and like doing mcu cameos they're doing a disservice to the story as well. i love ahsoka but she didn't need to be in the mandalorian at all. why couldn't a survivor of the jedi purge instead of ahsoka? why couldn't they have been the "jedi" din was seeking, so that grogu could be returned to his people? why couldn't we see that even if that person was a jedi it didn't mean they belonged with grogu? they could have done just as much, if not more, if they'd simply introduced and built a new character with the necessary time and effort. i feel like it's an extremely lazy thing, to do "fan service" and insert characters like luke and ahsoka into the mandalorian when this show is supposed to be full of characters we've never seen before... a show isn't good just because a certain character appears or a certain event happens. it has to make sense. it has to be well executed.
not sure how people feel about filoni & co. but they don't need to direct any more episodes. they should definitely write less. like, obviously their input and direction has given the franchise a lot of media, i get that, but at this point? with the possibility (?) of the next season being the final season of the mandalorian, i don't want another cameo. i don't want some shitty cgi or makeup job just for fanservice. i want them to actually create and try. they can reference past characters and events without resorting to the laziest, shittiest moves in the book that does more harm to the show than good. at this point i'd say give bryce dallas howard the reins in directing and maybe have more writers come in that, like, don't depend on preexisting canon to prop up their show.
others have probably said this before but i really, really, really wish the creators would revisit old, classic media like kotor & kotor 2. i know that's pretty biased since i am a huge fan of those games but those are a perfect example of what you can do with star wars media that doesn't center around the skywalkers or related characters. kotor may seem rudimentary and dated by today's standards, but i think there are very few games, if any, that come close to the storytelling, worldbuilding, and exploration of the franchise that kotor did. was it perfect? no. but it created not one but two incredibly compelling narratives that included multiple characters, events, and places. it wasn't perfect, but there was imagination behind it. it was creative. it was made by people who at least managed to put together something that was both new and stayed true to "canon." know what can come of star wars (kotor) but seeing what they do with the material (the sequel trilogy, parts of the mandalorian and boba fett, etc) is just so incredibly frustrating because they can do SO much but accomplish so little.
star wars needs to stop doing live actions and return to 2D animation. i want more nonhuman characters, crazier environments, and more fun. they are COWARDS for not doing 2D animation. star wars is the perfect medium for it. why not use it!

MLQC Season 2 Chapter 15 (Kiro’s Chapter) Part 4 [Double Courage] & [New Game] Translation [CN]
***SPOILERS*** DO NOT READ IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE SPOILED!!!
I decided to combine 2 parts into one post since 15-5 was short. Enjoy~
For the previous translation of Chapter 15: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3.
[Double Courage]
Tumblr media
There was no sound of footsteps coming and going outside the door and I was the only one left in the empty utility room.
I know he is still outside. Looking at the closed door, I slowly stepped forward and lifted my head.
It suddenly occurred to me, when I first arrived at the hospital after hearing that Kiro had an accident.
At that time, he was also on the other side, refusing me.
I turned around, leaned against the door, and sat down. Soon, the sound of footsteps quietly leaving came to my ears.
I have to admit, I really can’t help him. I am not strong enough to make him feel more at ease.
People need to accept their own weaknesses and limitations in order to think about what they can do from their own perspective.
The whole space is quiet and my heart is surprisingly calm.
I closed my eyes and replayed all the scenes of my time with Kiro over and over again in my mind.
If I were Kiro, why would I need to use another identity while insisting on solving the problem alone?
If I was admitted to the hospital and refused to see anyone, it must be because there is a serious illness and I don’t know how to deal with others.
And I act alone because it may be dangerous and I don’t want to be dragged down by others or….
Tumblr media
MC: Drag others down with me.
My brain is spinning so fast. I always feel that there is something that has constantly plagued me and I have come to a conclusion.
MC:…Kiro’s illness has not been cured?
So everything makes sense now.
From beginning to end, he never said why he was admitted into the hospital.
If he was attacked because of what he did, then he abandoned the identity of “Kiro” and acted under the identity of “Helios” which made it even more logical sense.
It is precisely because the illness has not been cured. He cannot expose his weakness but at the same time, he will also worry that he will be a burden to others because of this.
Tumblr media
MC: Kiro, are you trying to be strong again?
Secretly covering up his wounds and then create an identity of another person to carry everything on his back.
But this shouldn’t be a world where only superheroes get hurt.
MC: Kilo, display location.
Following my instructions, an electronic map immediately laid out before my eyes. I looked towards the center of the map and was shocked.
Next to the little bear wearing a small flower is another bear.
Helios hasn’t left. He was just outside the door.
I remember coming in, passing by the fire control room.
I thought for a while, not worrying about it anymore, I reached out my hand and touched the head of the little bear that was close to me, as if I could the person behind it.
MC: Kiro, can you hear me?
As I expected, there was no response.
I carefully tapped the microphone on the collar twice and then muttered to myself.
MC: Kiro, I know you are there. You can just treat this as me talking to myself but listen to me, okay?
MC: I know that I am very small and there are many things I can’t do and can’t help much.
MC: I don’t think it is shameful to admit that I am weak, because I know where to move forward after realizing this.
MC: For example, right now I’m thinking, do I have to learn some hacking skills or any combat skills?
There was a vaguely violent cough outside the door and I couldn’t help but smile.
MC: I know you must have encountered something sad.
MC: I also know that I can’t help you with this. You are afraid that I will only worry more so you choose to stay away from me.
MC: But Kiro, do you know?
Tumblr media
MC: Sometimes you are a coward and then you make yourself look strong.
Kiro:….MC
Kiro’s dull voice rang in my ears as if it came from the collar and also from the door behind him.
MC: Kiro, you don’t have to be so strong.
MC: Difficulty is like a giant beast with its teeth and claws bared. A little bear will inevitably be nervous and scared when facing it.
MC: But it doesn’t have to force itself to fight alone because if it were two bears, the courage would be doubled.
MC: The weapon to defeat the beast is often not any sharp knife, but the power of courage.
MC: My courage can be lent to you at any time.
There was a small voice and I knew he was listening to me carefully.
MC: I know you are working hard for everyone so I hope I can also help you in some way.
Next, I started to tell him all the information about the hunter game, Joker and the little boy I learned about.
Rather than watching him fight alone, I will accompany the superhero in my own way.
Tumblr media
After Helios closed the door of the utility room, he took out the hidden mini computer from under the console of the fire control room.
This is his temporary stronghold. It is located in the center of the city so it is convenient for his system to scan the entire terrain of Loveland City.
After he hacked into the opponent’s map program and was kicked out, he came to a decision.
He wants to build a brand new system to replace the other party’s authority and control over Loveland.
He opened the program on the mini computer and took out another device.
After the device started up, a beam of light projected into the air, showing an unfinished 3D map.
He sat down and flicked his fingers quickly in the air and the program projected in the air began to change with his movements.
This is a program he developed overnight to scan a map of the city and it is more intuitive than a 2D map.
At the same time, he tried to hack into the opponents system again, only this time, he did not bother to snatch the program they made.
He just wants to use their system to master the information of all players and all supply points so that he can enter the next step of the plan.
He quickly worked out a plan to end the game, with every step interlocking. And the first step of all plans must be that she can stay safe.
He knows that once Kilo is enabled, his identity will be exposed to the girl.
But in such a chaotic situation, he can no longer consider that much to ensure her safety.
After finding her, his ecstatic mood made him temporarily forget the anxiety caused by those recent events.
He forgot for a while that Kiro is broken, lonely and silent.
When she heard that she was looking forward to meeting the healthy Kiro, he suddenly recovered.
He is no longer the same Kiro, at least not the Kiro she was expecting.
He still couldn’t stand in front of her as Kiro.
The girl’s voice chattered endlessly, but it made him calmer than ever.
When she said that she wanted to learn hacking techniques or combat skills, he couldn’t help but cough.
At that moment, he was sure that she was serious.
She said that he was a coward.
She said that he doesn’t need to be so strong.
Helios tapped his fingers on the keyboard and gradually stopped.
Never compromise, never give up.
He feels his heart slowly being peeled off. There is a force pushing him forward.
She was right. As long as she was by his side, he would gain great courage.
This courage can support him to do many things and make him feel even more strength.
And the information she brought was really helpful to him.
Although he had investigated some information long ago, some of it was the first time he had heard of it.
The name Joker and Evol may be the main messenger of the game and the boy who can provide teleportation for him.
The so-called “ghost” to “human” transmission is actually done by this young man.
He frowned and began to think about what changes his plan needed to make as a result.
Fast fingers flew over the keyboard again and a “beep” came from multiple devices at the same time.
He raised his eyebrows slightly and his eyes showed unstoppable sharpness.
After scanning the three-dimensional map of the city, the player’s information points have been fully entered, the locations of the supply points have been disclosed to him, and the girl’s location information has also been erased from the game.
Tumblr media
Helios: This game is mine.
[New Game]
I leaned against the door and suddenly felt a vibration from my phone. When I picked it up, I found that the phone had a black screen.
Before I had a chance to restart it, the screen automatically lit up and then a line of words were displayed.
“Welcome to the new hunter game.”
New hunter game? I was stunned for a moment, before I realized what had happened, the word “hunter” was marked with a red “X” by the animation effect.
MC: Welcome to…..the new hunter game?”
The red animation effect keeps flashing on the screen, seeming to constantly emphasize the concept of “new game”.
Did Joker change the rules of the game? Why cross out the word “hunter”? What does he want to do?
Unsettling emotions came to my mind. I subconsciously wanted to call Helios but I heard a familiar voice come over the phone.
Tumblr media
??: Now, the game management rights will be changed.
??: I hereby announce, the new game has officially started.
This voice….is Helios!
I looked at the phone in disbelief and saw the screen change along with his voice.
“Hunter Game Is Out”
Helios: All the rules of the hunter game are invalidated.
Helios: There is only one rule you have to abide by—“No harm to anyone.”
I looked at the big words “NO FIGHT” displayed on the screen and faintly guessed what Helios wanted to do.
Helios: The communication method will now be opened, allowing all players to establish contact.
Helios: The game system adds a help platform and anyone who needs assistance can upload coordinates.
Helios: The map resumes normal use and all supply points will be publicly marked.
When he released these rules, the signal of my mobile phone showed full frame synchronously; a dialog box for help also popped up on the screen.
Then the phone automatically opened a brand new Loveland City map which not only showed the locations of all supply points but also a panoramic 3D map.
Helios: But don’t be too happy. My game will only be harder.
Helios: All of you, still have to follow my rules.
His tone was blunt, as if he was really the master of the game.
I was a little puzzled. Helios is clearly helping everyone to restore peace in Loveland. Why is he deliberately being so cold?
Although the fog has not dissipated, he can directly announce the end of the game. Why would he go the other way and announce the new rules of the game?
At this time, the screen switched to the surveillance on the streets of Loveland City and Helios seemed to have set up thermal imaging technology to clearly see colorful figures on the screen.
After seeing the contents of the surveillance clearly, my eyes widened unexpectedly—
Many people still pushed and scrambled for the aerosol at the replenishment point, fighting hard, and the scene was chaotic.
It seems that the so-called “new game” and “new rules” are meaningless to them.
Faintly, I seem to understand something.
Even if the game itself is stripped away, some people will still be dominated by fear or some kind of temptation and continue to dwell in the cold-blooded fighting.
So is this also Helios’ consideration?
I looked back at the closed wooden door waiting for his answer.
Helios: If someone insists on going their own way and continue to compete for limited resources…
Helios: The aerosol that you’re competing for will be ineffective at the moment.
Before he finished his words, everyone on the screen seemed to be taken aback. Several people raised the aerosols in their hands and panicked.
Helios: This is my game.
Helios: If you don’t believe me, you can try it.
The picture automatically zoomed in and the aerosol in the person’s hand was clearly exposed---the aerosol valve was automatically opened.
The crowd seemed to have finally realized the existence of the new game and stood there facing each other.
This is the meaning of Helios building a new game—
If the game is announced directly, everyone will continue to compete for aerosol if the fog is not effectively resolved.
That’s why he created another image of the game controller and introduced new game rules.
The purpose is to establish authority, let everyone follow his instructions, and get out of the mindset of fighting in a more orderly manner.
Helios: If you want to live, you must act according to my rules.
Helios: All players will be divided into three levels and displayed on your mobile phone screens according to the length of the remaining survival time.
Helios: Sub-level players need to help emergency level players to obtain aerosol.
Helios: The more people you help, the higher the ranking will be.
Helios: The highest-ranked person can still get a generous bonus.
Helios: Remember, “you are the game itself.”
Helios: Looking forward to your wonderful performance.
Helios completely changed the rules of the game.
If it can be executed smoothly, it will make the hunter game lose its original meaning.
It turns out that this is his “own way” to solve the hunter game?
While sighing, I was also a little worried.
The current situation is undoubtedly a huge change for Joker. In order to take back control,  he will certainly not give up.
I was about to remind Helios to be vigilant but suddenly there was a slight noise outside the door. Helios opened the door in the next second.
Tumblr media
Helios: Let’s go.
Helios: Someone has snuck in.

Thoughts on...Tangled the Series
Wowie yowie! That was something special. When they first announced that Tangled was getting its own series, I was excited. Rapunzel was my favorite Disney Princess, and I preferred Tangled over Frozen any day. My biggest fear was that they were just going to give us something bland for a paycheck. But it seems like nobody wanted to do that, especially the cast. The producers said they didn’t want to do it unless Mandy Moore was going to do it. Mandy Moore said she wasn’t going to do it unless Zachery Levi was going to do it. And Zachery Levi said, “Okay,” so everything turned out okay.
My experience with the show is mostly positive. I don’t want to create a whole wall of text gushing on every little thing, but I will touch on the big things that matter to me. I’m going to start with the negatives because it’s easier and fewer.
Negatives:
There were a few times that I thought Rapunzel was too smiley and childish for my tastes. I know it’s a Disney Princess show, but it’s really jarring when she’s the only character acting this way. However thanks to the power of character development, this problem was phased out completely.
As much as I like the friendship between Cassandra and Rapunzel, I hated how repetitive the Cassandra/Rapunzel episodes got. Rapunzel likes X. Cassandra does not like X. Rapunzel tries to get Cassandra to like X. Cassandra gets mad. Rapunzel apologizes and learns to respect the fact that she and Cassandra are two different people with different tastes and values. Do the same exact thing next episode. This stopped at the beginning of season two because of, you know, the plot.
I never took Varian too seriously as a villain. I like my villains to be threatening, and (I don’t mean to sound morbid but) this seems like a problem you can solve with a punch to the nose. Sorry, Varian. You’re better as a good guy anyways.
I thought some of the songs were just okay. Don’t get me wrong. I love a lot of the songs that everyone else loves. I just don’t love each and every song.
I wanted more Kiera and Catalina episodes.
The once every several episodes cringy dialogue. I know it’s for kids, but still. It didn’t happen often but when it did. Urgh. I get it. Frying pans.
That’s pretty much it for the negatives. I really liked the show, so I have very little to complain about. I like the characters, the story and all that good stuff, but here are the big standouts for me that really separate it from other shows.
Positives:
Eugene. My god, just Eugene. I want a podcast of just Zachery Levi as Eugene Fitzherbert just talking. About anything. I don’t care. I want that podcast of Eugene talking. I swear, it’ll be the most entertaining thing ever. I loved all his quips and one-liners.
New Dream. Thanks to Miraculous Ladybug and Star vs the Forces of Evil, I’ve learned to dislike will they/won’t they stories. Thank everyone that they never broke up New Dream. Instead, they stayed a couple throughout the entire series. The series didn’t grow stale or lose interest or get boring because the main couple was in a happy, stable, healthy relationship. It was great. They kept their original personalities in tact while being in a relationship. There was still conflict and drama and story, so suck it, TV writers who don’t want to write healthy relationships. You cowards. I also think it’s cool that there are several episodes where they have to take some time for themselves (date nights).
Kiera and Catalina. While I enjoyed all the new characters, these two were my favorites. They were just so cute and adorable. They were two tiny thieves on the run and I loved it when they got their extra ascension to recurring side characters in season three and an upgraded design. They sure grow fast. Plus that werewolf episode is one of my favorites.
“As Ready As I’ll Ever Be” “Next Stop, Anywhere” “The Wind in my Hair”
Expanding the lore and world of Tangled without feeling forced.
The ending was great. For some reason, it’s really rare nowadays for franchises to have a satisfying conclusion. This one did.
I love the art direction and animation. I love it so much I actually find it hard to watch the original movie. I prefer this 2D art direction more.
I want to say more, but I can’t right now. But this solidified Rapunzel as my favorite Disney Princess and New Dream as my second favorite fictional animated couple ever (starco FTW).

My sis and I are through with the actual main plot of KH3, so I can officially go back to scheduled ToZ fangirling now. …Well, I promised Cray a bit of fix-it-fanart, so after that, I guess.
Hit the cut for a resume. It got super long and has endgame story spoilers, so you might not want to stumble upon it by accident.
Another extra big shoutout (again!) to @crazayrock for bearing my liveblogging on Discord, screaming without context and occasional spoilers. And linking me fluffy Soriku doujinshi. Here, have my favourite, spoiler-heavy excerpt of our conversation:
Tumblr media
Okay anyway, let’s get started: GAMEPLAY
Kingdom Hearts 3 is BEAUTIFUL. The gameplay is so smooth and intuitive that you can immediately get to playing like you’d never done anything else; in fact so smooth that I doubt I will ever be able to pick up the first game ever again. It’s always been fun, but the looooooong years’ gap actually did wonders to the gameplay.
The keyblade form changes are fun and keep things fresh, you can do flashy triangle button shit every other minute, and shotlock is still insanely useful without being a game-breaker.
It seems easier than the first two main games, though?
The gummi ship is still a pain in the ass to steer, but I do enjoy the open world-like travel options (even if there’s not… much to discover except heartless lasering the shit out of you). I’m also eternally grateful that they kept the gummi ship thing from KH2 where you can just use a new gummi ship once you got the blueprint and don’t buy actual fucking legos as in the first game.
Thank you, Square. Not thanking you for the dumb cherry flan game, though.
The Caribbean being basically an open world stage was delightful! Apparently what our resident island kid needs is a big ship and tropical islands to plunder.
VISUALS AND STUFF
PRETTY LIGHTS EVERYWHERE
The long gap between the games also did wonders to the visuals.
There’s finally, FINALLY a few towns with actual NPCs you can talk to. Why it took the team so many years and the Gods know how many games is beyond me. The magic effects are beautiful, the animations smooth (honestly you can hardly tell apart cutscenes and fully rendered CGI scenes in this day and age of the PS4. I’m probably the only person still amazed by this because the only games I played on PS4 before were a few hours of Child of Light and of course Tales of Zestiria and Berseria. No, I still haven’t played FFXV but that’s a topic for another day). How far videogames have come.Even space finally looks like space, lol. Not really high-end what the PS4 can do I assume but god, it’s such an amazing and much needed upgrade from the terrible textureless colourful tubes you flew through before.
No excuse for the terrible battleship thingy before the Keyblade Graveyard, though. I got lost and beaten up so many times and crashed against more walls than I can count.
Nothing beats the World that Never Was, but the Keyblade Graveyard also has creepy cool potential, as does the beautiful but ghosted City in the Sky.
Still not getting what’s with JRPGs and very Definitely Final Dungeons (TM) that are basically space. …………or heaven. Or nothing. I’m getting the bad kind of original NGE TV series ending vibes. But. Okay.
The soundtrack is splendid
.……I miss Traverse Town and Radiant Garden, however.
Which brings us to:
THE WORLDS
I guess I can live with no more Final Fantasy characters being there (although I always loved that), and the meta jokes in Toy Story world really got me. Seeing Disney characters calling the KH villains call out on their shit was delightful. …the KH characters lampshading their own games’ sloppy dialogue writing was delightful.Still, those Disney worlds are always so much more in my head than what I actually get to play. This has been bugging me ever since the first game and it still does. I do not expect or want to replay the entire movies, but would it hurt to give the cutscenes some goddamn background music? Whenever there’s cutscenes, either the world’s usual BGM keeps playing or the music stops altogether. Together with the shortened dialogues and generally drastically shortened plots with odd cuts, that leads to scenes that are awkward at best. They never even remotely have the impact the movies had. You just sit there and think “oh wow that is so silly and awkward”.
Dancing scene in Corona? My favorite scene in Tangled. Zero impact on me without the lovely BGM (at least they made it a minigame so the moment isn’t over after 3 secs). Just for example. You can ask me like, world by world, but I can think of only exception off the top of my head and it’s not helping:
Let it Go of course. Listen guys, I actually love the song. But it’s so overused (and Frozen is an overrated movie at best that doesn’t deserve its hype in the slightest) that I can’t even really enjoy it being there. Like.

IF THAT’S OKAY WITH YOU,WHY DIDN’T YOU INCLUDE LITERALLY ANY OTHER ORIGINAL SONG FROM THE ORIGINAL MOVIES. Instead of BGM just not being there entirely, or in odd, cringey re-renderings that nobody wants to listen to (*cough* Atlantica *cough*).
Why torture me and not give me the one good scene from At World’s End (the up is down scene) when you had the chance?Kingdom Hearts is also prone to super lazy level design and wasting chances at wonderful scenery for no apparent reason other than I suppose empty cliffsides are quick to render. All games before did that, and KH3 is, sadly, no exception. We get to see a bit of Corona and Athens and they finally have NPCs, too, but you cannot even get near Arendelle. You cannot enter Elsa’s palace. You spend the entire time there climbing around in the snowy mountains of Norway, and unfortunately it looks less interesting than one would expect from the lovely concept art that the film unfortunately never used. You cannot enter Rapunzel’s tower although Sora can apparently parkour his way up even without her help.
………In short, the places you can go are, again, very limited, and a lot of interesting places and scenes you never get to see.
And to follow the plot you still only need the stuff that does NOT happen in those Disney worlds because they’re all beach filler episodes. It’s always been like that, but I keep wondering whether I’m the only one bothered by that. I’m also still salty they didn’t introduce a single new world from a 2D animated movie.
Also, as I said, I miss Traverse Town, it felt so warm and welcoming and beautiful.
And I get behind The World that Never Was missing although I loved it there, but why not give us back Radiant Garden? Destiny Islands since they’ve been restored? Disney Castle?
As much as I love the series, it never fucking lives up to its own potential. Idk whether it’s made more difficult by copyright issues or whatever, I just know that it bugs me.The first two games also had like twice as many worlds.
PLOT
I mean it’s never been deep; however, it’s complicated. No analysis or whatever from me because plot analysis and meta writing bore me like seven hells, just my emotional reaction: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Okay, bad news. I got into it expecting nothing, and still got disappointed. I don’t actually enjoy the prospect of writing essays about it, but here’s my tea with it; in not particular order:
1) the pacing is terrible. Nothing happens for like 30 hours and then suddenly like 20 characters’ arcs are (naturally poorly) resolved within the last few hours of cutscenes. Build up anyone? At least they actually did pick up Maleficent and the box thing again. …In the epilogue.
2) Speaking of build ups, Sora’s breakdown could have been developed nicely and steadily over the game to feel natural, and instead it’s hinted at in the beginning by everyone picking on him, but then it’s never further developed and comes out of fucking nowhere. Like. For real? It felt terribly OOC.
3) Why on earth have they shown 90% of the plot in the trailers already, and why are those scenes so massively disappointing in context
4) Kairi. Oh god, Kairi. What are we gonna do with you. I want to love her, I really do, but she’s a prime example of shittily written female leads. Mostly because she’s not leading. It’s not her fault. She’s just a fictional character. But honest to God, Nomura, why. Her screen time is almost nonexistent, and she’s entirely use- and helpless whenever she’s on screen (which isn’t often). Her ONLY point in the plot is being rescued because she is fucking useless. Why. Just why. Why waste her character like that. All we know is that she’s shoehorned into being the token love interest, but she has zero plot relevance and there is even less build up of her relationship with Sora. It’s all tell and NEVER show; and not even much telling, either. She has literally zero direct interaction with in the entire game before they share their paopu. The question remains: why are straights like this
5) On a related note: look, I don’t even ask for (or expect, or even hope) my ship to be canon. Squeenix doesn’t exactly have a rich history in queer representation. I’m totally fine with Sora and Riku being best friends. BUT. Building up Sora as the most important person in Riku’s life (and arguably, vice versa) over the course of several games, just to then hardly have them interact in the finale and then SUDDENLY bring back Kairi into the equation, who hasn’t interacted with him since the ending of KH2 (except for one unsent(?) letter) is just piss poor writing, period.I actually love Cray’s suggestion she gave me over Discord: let Sora, Kairi and Riku all share a paopu together (and let them group hug, too, you cowards). It would have been the perfect message to send (Sora as truly all-loving hero, and loving all your friends equally; romantic love isn’t more important than platonic love and doesn’t need to be singled out). Really sad that this isn’t what happens. Apparently that wouldn’t have been no homo enough.
LET THE DESTINY TRIO GROUP HUG YOU COWARDS

Do Riku and Kairi even interact once in the whole game?

HOW IS THIS A TRIO, IT’S JUST A SHITTILY WRITTEN LOVE TRIANGLE
6) Time travelling is a bitch, Christ. It doesn’t solve plotholes or can be played for drama, it just adds MORE plotholes. It just got WORSE. The cloning blues and people not aging doesn’t help, either.
7) Just so you know, I care absolutely zero for wild fan theories. You’re not Nomura. I want a statement from the man who wrote this shit himself why on bloody earth Sora dies when he apparently successfully found and brought back Kairi (and since nobody aged a day, apparently it didn’t even take that long lol). DUDES, THIS IS KINDA PART OF THE PLOT, AND YOU DON’T BOTHER TO EXPLAIN IT INGAME???? And how was Ienzo/Zexion able to revive Naminé while Kairi was still missing/dead/whatever…?
Okay so in short the writing is worse than ever and that’s saying something.
However, let’s try to find something good in this trainwreck; it wasn’t all bad. There’s some really nice scenes which sadly are better enjoyed without any context at all.
So, guess my favourite scenes. You had time enough, here’s the solution:
1) Purifying uhm er rescuing Aqua. Poor girl. She deserves the rest. Poor, poor Aqua. The only properly wirrten female in the whole damn franchise. Also the only person other than Riku who fucking gets shit done.
2) The Gayblade (TM)
3) Happy Axel in the reunion with his kids. Oh god, the poor chap deserves it so much. Thank you, Nomura. I don’t care that it makes pretty much no sense. Make him happy. Give him his friends back. Just give Axel all his friends and let him happily set things on fire. Hi I love Axel
4) The party at the beach cutscene before the credits roll. Axel and Xion get clothes. Half the organization is on our side now. I almost teared up at the Wayfinder trio saying goodbye to Eraqus’ forceghost. Hey come on he’s the voice of Luke Skywalker
5) Sully yeeting Vanitas
6) Woody calling out Xehanort that nobody loves him
7) Jack Sparrow bad breathing Luxord
I wish we had gotten:
1) justice for Kairi
2) a happy Zexion, the poor emo kid. Well maybe now he will be, with all the orga members who changed sides now, lol.
3) I will never trust mobile games ever again so I don’t want to play KHUX but I would have loved to learn about the Keyblade Wars :;))))

WHAT WAS THE KEYBLADE WAR ABOUT CAN WE SPEND MORE TIME IN THAT COOL CITY IN THE SKY WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH MIKLEO
I MEAN THAT EPHEMER KIDDO

WHAT’S WITH THE MASKED DUDES AND DUDETTES FROM THE MOVIE

WTF WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM AFTER THE MOVIE???? WHERE THOSE KEYBLADE USER NAMES ACTUAL MOBILE GAME PLAYER NAMES??? Next game? PLEASE?
I really, REALLY hope the epilogue means we will get Xiggy/Luxu as our new big bad and we learn more about the five dudes and dudettes from the movie. Please. PLEASE. I’m so up for it. Them finally pickung up the bit with Maleficent and the mysterious box again? Hell yeah.
The secret movie was really unexciting in comparison, although I laughed very hard at the “Verum Rex” scene in Toy Story world. Maybe that’s why it was much cheaper to unlock than in KH1 and KH2.
4) give Ven a drink
DLC ideas I would actually pay for because I’m a sad human being: 1) more Disney worlds 2) Japanese audio 3) at least one of the following as permanently playable characters: Riku, Kairi, Axel, Ven, Aqua. At least as a guest member as in KH2. THIS SUCH A BIG STEP BACKWARDS I’M FUMING
FINAL THOUGHTS
Kingdom Hearts 3 is a hella lot of fun, beautiful, and also moving when it sets its mind to it. Unfortunately it doesn’t always do so. I don’t feel like it wasn’t worth the wait; it was. However, I’m very salty how rotten the writing is. I do not mind logical fallacies, I do not mind the cheesiness and cringeyness; however, I do mind how so many interesting characters do not get the screentime they deserve, and Kairi is a very bad joke.
I’ll probably find more to nitpick about (Gods. Just. Don’t come up with dub excuses why Sora is lv 1 in each game. JUST LEAVE IT BE. You don’t explain why Donald and Goofy are lv 1 again, either. JUST. LEAVE. IT. BE. The sacrifice was dumb and not even moving, I’m just still furious that Kairi’s ONLY point in the plot is being so useless that it’s literally getting herself KILLED and she needs constant rescuing to the point that Sora has to sacrifice himself for her, effectively. Kairi deserves better, Sora deserves better, I deserve better than to think about this absurdity.…I’m just… gonna cherry-pick the good bits from the lore and try to pretend the finale didn’t exist, I guess. GODS.

So Love, Death and Robots...
Ok, like the first 4 were all, in different ways, really pretty good, and there are a couple of other good offerings in the mix, although a lot of the otherwise good ones fumbled the landing a little and left me feeling slightly unsatisfied.
Sonnie’s Edge was a solid opener, not my favourite in the world (and the accents felt really fake if I’m honest - if you say they’re from Newcastle give your characters Geordie accents, you cowards, none of this ‘generic working class Brit’ bollocks), but the twists were good, the characters had some life to them, and while I am a biiit eeehhhhhh about the Rape As Backstory element, it wasn’t egregious and the story was well put together and rattled along at a fair pace. I would have liked a bit more information about where her anger came from, since she shrugs off the idea that it’s from her Traumatic Backstory, but that’s really my only criticism. Animation-wise I’m not the biggest fan of photorealistic scifi animation, and the monster designs are fine but not mindblowing, but it’s doing what it does solidly (although I don’t know why that one character has her tits all the way out in her regular costume, it’s a bit Teenage Boy Scifi but it’s still a cool costume and I like the blacklight effects). The theme for me here is competent - nothing in the story or the animation was stand-out exciting for me but it was all done well, paced well, animated and designed very well, but it all sort of hit a “good but not great” note for me if I’m honest.  4/5 robots 🤖🤖🤖🤖💀
Three Robots was fun and engaging, if a bit superficial - it’s more of a series of stitched-together vignettes than a story, and other than the central characters, the world, and the cat very little connects the scenes, but that’s fine, it’s a worldbuilding exercise and it does what it’s doing pretty well. I really dig the character designs, especially the big blocky triangle robot - I’m a sucker for highly variable robots existing in the same world and I always appreciate effective non-humanoid character design. Also I did really enjoy the closing twist, that gave me a giggle. 4/5 robots 🤖🤖🤖🤖💀
The Witness was also really good but missing something. I loved the animation and character design, the comic book sound effects were occasionally a little clunky and distracting but the Comicsness of it was really working for me. I liked the story - it telegraphed part of the ending very deliberately but kept you guessing about the details and then pulled a pretty effective twist at the end anyway - and the characters managed to convey a lot of personality without a lot of explanation. There was a pleasing sense of inevitability to it, and while I kind of wanted a bit of explanation I think it was probably the right decision to leave it ambiguous. I did leave it feeling a little unsatisfied in an indefinable way, but looking back I think it would not have been made better by being any more explicit about what it was trying to convey.  4/5 robots 🤖🤖🤖🤖💀 Suits, the one with the redneck mecha pilots, was far and away the tightest and most satisfyingly put together in the whole show for me - I liked the animation style a lot for it, it was funny and emotionally engaging, and while it wasn’t breaking much new ground it was beautifully paced, kept you invested and made you care about the characters, and was probably the only one which I had absolutely no complaints or lingering disappointments at all with. 5/5 robots 🤖🤖🤖🤖🤖 .........aaaaaand then it all went wrong a bit for me because the episodes I genuinely solidly enjoyed got much fewer and further between as the bulk of stories got increasingly adolescent and superficial (I know, I know, it’s called Love, Death and Robots, it was always going to be a bit Teenage Boy, but the first 4 were all solid enough that I was feeling positive about it) Sucker of Souls was...fine. Characterful animation, uptempo pace, good character design (although GOD those ACCENTS, please stop and hire Actually British and Actually Irish voice actors if you’re planning on having British and Irish characters). It just felt completely hollow, though. Like, why do I care about this happening? Most of the characters are reasonably likeable if pretty stock, but the actual protagonist has nothing to him except Gruffly Macho Mercenary #4518B, and the plot is paper-thin and utterly unsatisfying. Monster exists, hubris of man raises monster, monster does something gratuitiously gory (if well-animated), people run away from monster, kill monster with guns and explosions, oh no what a twist we’re still in trouble, cut to black. And there was just nothing added to that, nothing clever or imaginative or unexpected, and the only twist they managed was that their Big Triumphal Moment was totally pointless. I thought they were going somewhere interesting with the cats thing and then it just got dropped and we went back to guns and explosions. I get doing something like this as a character piece but a) the characters just aren’t interesting enough to prop it up and b) the stakes aren’t balanced right for it to work (heh, stakes). It feels like this was just ‘I have a cool character design for Dracula and a couple of setpiece ideas’ and the whole short was just a vehicle for that, but while those things were cool they weren’t cool enough to make half an hour of TV feel worth it. It’s nice to see 2d animation but the animation style is only really ‘fine’ to me. This episode feels like someone really liked Hellboy but is not nearly as good a writer as Mike Mignola. 2/5 robots 🤖🤖💀💀💀 When The Yoghurt Took Over was fun enough. It didn’t have much more to it than ‘it would be funny if yoghurt took over the world’ but sometimes that’s enough. The animation’s cute and the idea is original enough to be funny and indepth enough to keep you engaged - I like a lot of the visual gags, even if they were a bit on the nose, and I enjoyed the vibe of it. It felt like a really odd fit with the rest of the show, though, and I’m not sure what tone the ending was trying to strike. Overall, 3.5/5 robots 🤖🤖🤖💀💀  (imagine I can emoji half a robot) Beyond the Aquila Rift, like Sonnie, is wholly competent and also pretty rote. The twist was telegraphed from a mile off, and imo the episode only manages to fill a full 15 minutes because like 3 of those minutes are just sex scenes without much substance. Again, photorealistic animation isn’t my bag, but even that considered the faces were carefully-textured enough that mid-tier animation made it all feel a bit Bioware and got in the way of me empathising with the characters. The story is an absolute off-the-rack sci-fi classic, and there’s no real twist on it - if I’d never seen this story played out before it might have worked, but I have seen approximately 20000000 versions of it and this just wasn’t bringing anything new. I liked the navigator character, when she was in it, and the design was competent, but it just did nothing for me because it all felt deeply generic and so the episode just dragged on with nothing new or exciting. 2.5/5 robots  🤖🤖💀💀💀 Good Hunting is another one where I liked bits of it but felt like it didn’t really go anywhere with its premise. I like the idea of contrasting traditional fantasy tropes with scifi, and I do like to see steampunk that legitimately grapples with the colonial baggage, but it just felt like it didn’t have much room to grow. The mechanical animation was really pretty - I especially liked the scene with the automatic hare - and the story was solidly paced, plus I do like when stories have a go at recontextualising traditional Seductress Monsters, buuuut to be honest it felt like a bit of a letdown. Where it hit, it hit solidly - I liked the throughline about how she felt like she’d become what he had thought her mother was, and the parallels between his experience of working for the British and her experience of sex work for them - but I think the issue for me is that, while I liked Liang and felt like he was well fleshed out, this felt like it should have been Yan’s story and it just wasn’t, really. Also I’m not very clear on what the point of the robotics work was - symbolically it works on some levels but I don’t know if it actually helps along the core theme, although the more time I spend with the idea the more it’s working for me. Still, I think we could have done with cutting the wuxia-ey scene at the beginning in half to make room for a little more meat at the end. 4/5 robots  🤖🤖🤖🤖💀 Ugly Dave. It’s fine. Nothing to write home about. The gag is pretty clear from the off, and doesn’t really build up into anything other than the obvious, but the animation is nice, the character design is strong and the jokes are adolescent but well-delivered. 3/5 robots  🤖🤖🤖💀💀 Shape-Shifters. I don’t know how this one was because it bored and annoyed me so much that I skipped to the next episode after 5 minutes. Ugh. Yeah. They’re werewolves and their squad is mean to them even though they’re real good at war. I assume that the only reason this isn’t called Dog Soldiers is because there’s already a film called Dog Soldiers about werewolf squaddies which the target audience of this short film, edgy teenage boys with a hardon for modern military propaganda, already like (side note: I didn’t get to the bit where presumably they eventually transform. but I flicked through a few frames on the tracker bar and they looked like incredibly generic wolves). My guess is that probably at the end they a) save their squad despite being discriminated against or b) the more annoying one gets killed by his own side. probably both. idk, I noped out because it was just wanking off the concept of the modern military and our two protagonists were two obnoxiously macho army men talking about how unfair it was that nobody appreciated how GOOD THEY WERE AT KILLING FOR ‘MURICA mission accomplished etc. Oh, and the animation style was another incredibly uninteresting photo-realistic but video-game animated pile of boring. 0/5 robots, too bored to actually watch it  💀💀💀💀💀
However, luckily just as I was getting Very Bored of Shooty Shooty Bang Bang adolescence, there were a succession of really nice character pieces
Helping Hand was a great small-scope short story. A lot of the episodes are really bombastic but Helping Hand is small and contained and character-driven and I liked it quite a bit. The animation is once again photorealistic, but to be honest that works well for me here because the movements are really believable, there’s a good reason to use animation instead of live actors (because it’s a situation where you’d either need a really expensive shooting setup or to mostly animate it anyway), and I think that the personal struggle would have had a lot less impact if the animation was more stylised. It’s a bit gross but beautfiully paced and tense (and the character’s Irish accent isn’t ear-burningly awful this time!) I will also say that of all of them, this character design feels the least male-gazy and the most like an actual person.  4/5 robots 🤖🤖🤖🤖💀 Fish Night was unexpectedly gorgeous! I really don’t rate the animation style of pseudo-cel 3d with heavy lineart, and I was all set to find this episode ugly, but it’s honestly stunning. It feels like some of the best Nobrow comics, I can almost smell litho ink and feel heavy paper. It’s just got such a beautiful artistic sensibility. Storywise it’s a little weak - the characters are solid and the wonder is real but it just doesn’t really go anywhere, and it just sort of ends, it could really have done with a few seconds of closing scene because it felt like it just cut itself off  - and I’m not sure it’s anything meatier than a beautiful piece of visual work, but it’s allowed to be that and it does it stunningly!  4/5 robots 🤖🤖🤖🤖💀 Lucky 13 isn’t really up my alley (although Samira Wiley puts in a great performance and I love her) and it’s another one where I sort of think, you know, why is this an animated piece if you’re just going to mocap everyone and set most of the action in cockpits and in a hangar, but it rattles along well and does what it wants to do, which is to be a solid Hero Pilot And Ship story. I just don’t actually want to be watching military dramas, but at least it’s much, MUCH better executed than Shape-Shifters both in terms of animation and storytelling, the characters are likeable, and the pacing is good.  3/5 robots  🤖🤖🤖💀💀 Zima Blue. LOVE LOVE LOVE this story, brought down only by the fact that I, uh, kind of hate the art style? A lot? It’s a matter of personal taste but that angular, geometric, leggy thing does nothing for me, although the environments are really nice. But the actual story is clever, original and a little bit silly in all the ways I like my scifi to be, plus it explores some interesting themes of consciousness and happiness. And the twist in the tail is really nice and fairly unexpected.  4/5 robots 🤖🤖🤖🤖💀 Blindspot is dull, dull, dull, desperately dull and generic. We’re back on the adolescent Shooty Boom Boom bullshit, with poorly established stakes that never really get resolved, uninteresting and unpleasant characters, and a completely textbook story. The female character is apparently only there to make brain-itchingly bad Sassy Oneliners and have one scene where she shoots some guys, all of the characters have taken their personalities from the 15 Year Old Boy’s Guide To Being A Cool Rude Badass, the character designs are cluttered and not amazing, and there’s nothing original or exciting happening, it’s just a series of different shaped guns. The ending at least has a strong idea of what it’s doing, and almost works, but it’s dragged down by the fact that it relies on me being sad that these characters have got stomped, and I’m afraid that’s a lot to ask with characters as annoying and unpleasant as these. 1/5 robots  🤖💀💀💀💀 Ice Age. It’s a fun little concept. I’m not sure it really goes anywhere much but it’s quirky and very nicely put together, and it gave me a chuckle.  3/5 robots 🤖🤖🤖💀💀 Alternate Histories feels like something I’d see on Newgrounds in 2004, but slightly polished up and expanded on. Ha ha ha Hitler gets killed in various ways, which was definitely hilarious when I was 12. It’s much more interested in coming up with funny ways Hitler might die than it is in exploring any alternate histories that might result, despite the framing device (and also weirdly seems to imply that Nazi victory would be a good thing in one scenario?). I’ve used the word adolescent a lot here but this one isn’t even really adolescent in its sensibilities, it feels aimed at 10-13 year olds. 2/5 robots  🤖 🤖💀💀💀 The Secret War closes out the series in a way that feels consistent with the overall sense I got from Love, Death and Robots, in that it’s solidly made and not particularly original. But I did like it - the animation is stunning (although I stand by imitation not being the point of animation, it is aiming for realism and it does that almost flawlessly) and it’s surprisingly emotionally engaging. It keeps its focus on the experiences of the soldiers as people rather than on the concept, which is for the best as the concept is pretty generic, and it produces something with a bit of genuine emotional weight and stakes. It’s basically the exact same base story as Suits, even down to a lot of elements of the monster design, but set in a very different place with very different core characters, and as both Suits and Secret War are really character pieces, they make two very different but very strong stories out of it. This one is really hammering the GRITTY button as hard as it can, but it pulls it off, and while it still felt very pointed at teenage boy sensibilities it was a genuinely engaging and immersive story. If Soul Sucker desperately wanted to be the Hellboy comics, Secret War solidly evokes the Hellboy films but certainly isn’t just trying to be something other than what it is.  4/5 robots 🤖🤖🤖🤖💀 Overall thoughts - like all anthology shows tend to be, Love, Death and Robots is very hit and miss. A lot of episodes are really, REALLY rooted in a teenage nerd boy idea of coolness, and it doesn’t have much interest in criticising or examining what that means, but when it manages to get away from that a lot of these short films are fantastic. I will say that like a lot else, it’s dominated by both white male writers and white male protagonists and/or Strong Female Characters, and again, the best episodes tended to be ones that broke that pattern. From the title and trailer, I was worried about it being a lot more sexualised and gratuitous than it ended up being (although it definitely had its ehhhhhh moments), and I was honestly pleasantly surprised that of 18 episodes, only 2 featured rape-revenge plotlines, and none (maybe one?) were about Evil Seductresses, because given the title I had Concerns. However, it is still overwhelmingly white character-wise, which is a shame - I counted 2 episodes with Asian protagonists and 2 more with Black protagonists, which is relatively good, but there were probably only about 10 named/centred characters of colour all told. I dunno. I’d recommend taking a punt on it but I have Criticisms of the show overall. The good episodes are REALLY good though and I will definitely be rewatching 2 or 3 of them.

epicwolfofdarkness mentioned you on a post “otherwindow: Mei, Moira, Ana, Sombra, and Tracer edited to look...”
@magickz YES THANK YOU SOMEONE ACTUALLY GETS IT Instead of calling Blizzard "cowards", can we not just acknowledge that things are always gonna look different in 2D and 3D? When you compare the official art and the official in-game models, they still look like the same characters. The characters look slightly different in the animated shorts to the way they do in-game and no-one bats an eye. Double standards much? The notes here annoy me so much every time I see this
Yeah exactly, and it’s got a lot to do with too a lot of people just don’t understand how art and shit works, and of course not all ppl, but It seems like a lot of us who are artists are able to see/understand why they’re different in 3D vs 2D, its also why I personally don’t buy into the same face bullshit because as an artist I can see all the little changes and features that make them different which outweighs what makes them the same. People like to overlay the faces for same face arguments, one, this doesn’t work and is biased because you take any human face and put em overlapping you will see an “average” face. That’s just how fucking life and physics and shit works, I did an overlay of the men and also got an average face, but ppl just love to bitch and pick on the women in shit like this for some god awful reason. Also speaking of artists, on top of 3D doesn’t translate quite the same as 2D, The concept art, the in game models, and the cinematic shorts all have DIFFERENT artists and animators and art directors and stuff/ Blizzards a big company and in order to pump stuff like this out quickly, they need to have artists who have artistic liberty. IF they had the same ppl trained to do concept and 3d models and shit, you’d probably be waiting years to get a new hero.  As long as the characters are clearly recognizable, there’s no issues with having them look slightly different across the media.  Bitching about them in game vs cinematic vs concept art, is like bitching that fan art is different as well because everyone has their own takes on the characters. its stupid to complain that everyone is drawing characters slightly differently due to their art styles, so why is it okay to bitch about blizzards team and their different art styles? It’s not okay, and honestly ppl who argue trying to “call blizzard out” about this, are just stupid or at least extremely uneducated. imo.

Bajillion Questions Meme
Rules: Answer all questions, add one question of your own and tag as many people as there are questions!
I was tagged by @sakuraberyl. LESSGO...under the cut so this doesn’t become too long
1. Coke or Pepsi: I don’t drink soda 2. Disney or Dreamworks: Depends on what era you’re talking about. Like, modern Disney is pretty freaking awesome in comparison to modern DreamWorks. Also if Pixar counts or not. Because I love 2D Dreamworks and Pixar (excluding the Cars movies).  3. Coffee or Tea: Neither 4. Books or Movies: Both 5. Windows or Mac: Windows but god I do not like having constant updates where I get unnecessary apps and the lack of easy video editing software 6. DC or Marvel: Grew up with DC cartoons, currently liking the Marvel cinematic universe. Hoping that the Aqua Man movie will be awesome like Wonder Woman, though! 7. XBox or Playstation: Playstation, though I’m sticking to Nintendo consoles so I can focus on my school work first. Love me them JRPGs 8. Dragon Age or Mass Effect: I’m in the dark about both of these series but with me being a huge fantasy nerd I think Dragon Age would be preferred here. I still like Garrus and Ja’al though! 9. Night Owl or Early Rise: Night owl 10. Cards or Chess: Cards. Especially Black Jack 11. Chocolate or Vanilla: Chocolate 12. Vans or Converse: I want to wear Vans but the backs always brush up against my heels and cause bruises. Haven’t worn Converse, either... 13. Lavellan, Trevelyan, Cadash, or Adaar: whom? 14. Fluff or Angst: F l u f f. Angst followed by fluff is also good 15. Dogs or Cats: Both I don’t like small energetic dogs. 16. Clear skies or Rain: Clear skies unless it’s really hot out. If you could have a superpower, what would it be: Teleportation so my mom can stop nagging me about driving and also because I guarantee it would save so much time and money 22. Animation or Live action: Animation. I grew up thinking live action would be as bad as Power Rangers and I’ve barely gotten back into it after The Avengers. 23. Paragon or Renegade: renegade for life Paragon 24. Baths or Showers: Showers 25. Team Cap or Team Iron Man: Team Black Panther 26. Fantasy or Sci-fi: Fantasy 27. Do you have three or four favorite quotes? If so, what are they? “You can be a hero”, “Just because I’m sad doesn’t mean I’ve given up hope”, and “I should like to help everyone, not hurt them. Pure man, black, white, we all want to help one another. Human beings are like that.” 28. Youtube or Netflix: Youtube 29. Harry Potter or Percy Jackson: Couldn’t really get into either but I know the most about Harry Potter 30. When Do You Feel Accomplished: Getting double digit notes for my original content here that isn’t just me reblogging or just “Like”s, getting reviews on a chapter for my fic I worked relatively hard on, parents telling me they’re proud of me, a friend thanking me for cheering them up, having people wanting to create content after being inspired on things I’ve created 31. Star Wars or Star Trek: Wars 32. Paperback or Hardback books: Either’s fine really. As long as it’s physical 33. Handwriting or Typing: Both 34. Velvet or Satin: Both 35. Video games or movies: Stronger preference for video games here 36. Would you rather be the dragon or fight the dragon: Now why would I fight a dragon in the first place? I wanna be best bros with it 37. Sunrise or Sunset: Sunset, since I’m actually awake when that happens 38. What’s your favorite song: Depends on what I’m in the mood for.  39. Horror movies, yes or no: Horror elements, yes. Actual horror movies, no 40. Long or Short hair: Depends on the style and I know I can’t really pull off either rip 41. Opera or Theater: I do like my musical theater, but not if sing-speaking of opera is extremely frequent 42. Assuming the multiverse theory is true and that every story ever told has really happened somewhere, which one of the movie/book/tv show/game/etc worlds would you pick to travel to first: “Do you, Miss Pikes, take Priam to be your lawfully wedded husband?” 43. If you had to eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be: Chocolate seems good. Or the chicken recipe my best friend showed me. 44. Older or younger guys: Older 45. If you could delete any show from TV history, what would it be: The Honeymooners 46. Singing or dancing: I myself am better at “singing” but I like when the two are combined 47. Instagram or Twitter: Neither, please 48. Lord of the Rings or the Hobbit: In terms of theatrical releases Lord of the Rings. Still need to read The Hobbit 49. If you could create either a sequel or bring back any tv show/movie, what would you choose: give me my priam-centric game you cowards Depends on the quality of this sequel/reboot and how much time has passed. Like, I’d love to see more of ACCA-13 but I believe it was the hype that got me into it 50. Who is your favorite movie/TV character you look up to and why? Wander from Wander Over Yonder because I too want to help everyone, Iskandar from Fate/Zero because I want that same level of self-confidence, Midoriya Izuku from Hero Academia because we face the same struggles (not literally but shh), Luann Loud from The Loud House because puns 51. If you were convicted of a crime, what would it be? Internet piracy probably. I got Adblock 52. Anime- subbed or dubbed. Now here’s where this greatly depends. If it’s a Bang Zoom/Aniplex dub I’m definitely more bias towards it because I recognize a lot of the voice actors and like seeing them portray different assortments of characters. Funimation can be good too, such as Space Dandy and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. But then the setting of the show itself and the accents come into play. Like, in Black Butler, the English accents are really forced in the dub and it’s too distracting for me, but I freaking love Hellsing Ultimate and Drifters’ dubs for their use of accents. And then Japanese names can be pronounced differently in English so there’s that problem. 53. City or countryside: Countryside 54. What book have you read over and over? That’s not manga, probably Count of Monte Cristo or some of the mythology books I keep around the house. When I was a kid, Magic Treehouse and Chet Gecko 55. What is your personality type? ISFJ 56. Would you rather change a moment in the past or have a glimpse in the future: As much as the 50s fucked everything up we still need them to learn from our mistakes. ...maybe get rid of fire emblem fates 57. Would you rather have an ex that you hate start dating your best friend, or have an ex that you’re still attached to hook up with someone you revile? Neither, please
(my question)
58. Games you want ported for the Nintendo Switch: Persona 5, NieR (original), Ori and the Blind Forest, Child of Light, Valiant Hearts: The Great War, Journey, Qbeh-1: The Atlas Cube
Tagging @lunarlapin, @writer-of-worlds and @freshaslime

All the numbers coward
Oh goody, I was beginning to think no one was going to ask me to do any :)
1. First game you played obsessively?I think the first game I played obsessively was Pokemon Ruby. This was before I actually new anything about strategy (like 3rd/4th grade) or even how to swap out pokemon, but I remember running through the whole game with just my trusty Swampert, up until the Elite Four beat my unbalanced ass ; u ;
2. A game that has influenced you creatively? Writing, drawing, etc.I don’t draw or write much now, but I do remember really liking the boxart of LoZ: Link to the Past enough to try doodling it and a few items.
3. What did you play as a kid?As a child I was like exclusively nintendo. Pokemon Ruby and Emerald, Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga, like every single Pokemon Mystery Dungeons Game, and LoZ: A link to the past
4. Who do you play with now?Mostly League of Legends and indie games on the PC. Shooty Bois on the XBox one and a few games on the Switch
5. Ever use cheat codes?Yes because my child self is a degenerate. 6. Ever buy strategy guides?nope. Any money I had went to games, if I needed strats, I begged to use a computer.7. Any games you have multiple copies of?I have Skyrim on my ps3 and computer, and boarderlands 2 on my computer and xbox. not because I really like boarderlands, but because it was on sale for steam, and then my friends wanted to play on the xbox instead :)8. Rarest/Most expensive game in your collection?I still have my original Pokemon Emerald cartridge, and a link to the past gba cartridge9. Most regrettable purchase?oof. Probably Splatoon 2. Great game, wonderful aesthetic, but I realized I spent $60 for a game that held my interest for like a week because of my friends.10. Ever go to a midnight game release or stand in line for hours?Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire release. It was just a really good time with friends and then a bunch of nerds playing pokemon together after.11. Have you ever made new friends from playing video games?Video games is like the reason I have any friends today.12. Ever get picked on for liking games?just the usual snide comment from some family members, but not like stereotypical school bullying.13. A game you’ve never played that everyone else has?Sims, Rollercoaster Tycoon, Sports games 2Kyear14. Favorite game music?Persona 3 and 5 soundtrack15. If it was a requirement to get a game related tattoo, what would you pick?probably some kind of arcana card from persona. yeah, that sounds neat.16. HEART BRAKER i still don’t know what i want but i’m trying to keep things entertaining without my glasses i was sure it was a heronimous bosch painting but it was a picture of us on mark’s couch the last time we all saw each other o sweet greedy inconsolable o party princess getting by with a little help from her damn self this is my horse named how to burn a bridge this is how easy it is to shift your paradigm: the more things you do that scare you, the less scary they are y como ser feliz? sit here in the shockwaves of my trail of broken hearts sit here in the trauma puddle of my own brewing mourn a home, mourn a former soul, mourn a worn-out body in some fantasy i will have hidden a hard drive to reinstall from an earlier state; live out all the possibilities be everybody’s wife in turn like i wanted we’ll fall in love one summer and i’ll shape myself around you like a living soft shell and then one of us will die reboot we’ll fall in love one summer and i’ll shape you and one of us will die reboot we’ll fall in love and we’ll die i guess the only comforting eternity is to live forever in a fixed point in history or the good old stand-by: nothing i’ve spent a good decade chasing the numbwave enough to know better walking through the basilica at el escorial and feeling most connected to the mural of the devil with a blurry face scrubbed out by some indignant monk who couldn’t bear to see it among the saints i’ve been having dreams where i have to warn my family the government is coming to put us in camps but they’ve been listening; their agent appears silently around a corner a man in a red t-shirt with no face or head, instead a blur and i’m too horrified to scream i wanna write everything, reflect until my life is an inside-out reflection of reflection live in a house with ice cubes always in the freezer and an animal always lounging on the floor. i feel ick and primed. i’ve looked across a sea and jumped it and what would i say if i could tell you anything? that language is so inexact; that feelings are slippery and i’m maybe not to be trusted with them. maybe still too much of an object to myself, still competing, deeply magic, the sky turns Bosch’s perfect rosy orangepink, the teal blue of his distant mountains. barry crimmins said “my drug of choice is my friends” so i’m gonna need you guys to get me real high and keep me real high LENGUA MATERNA i’ve got notches on notches on my belt yet it’s still hard to trust the simple fact of my voice to be enough to speak without owning or owing; to write like your mother is dead. still there’s no proper decoding into words these reverberations of memory, like i can paint for you but don’t make me speak i can dance for you but don’t make me speak i can exist for you but please don’t make me speak just call me angel of the mealy hometown ease the buildings here are wood and they age like old men cracking and shifting without crumbling splinter finally into the dusty grass i’ve come back talky and touchy but feel like a little fish flirting with the net of an abandoned timeline brings on a sickness that rises from your base holes up the spine and out through your sinuses there is no escape just a gradual ease with this giant blue neon flower, this blooming psychic circuit of memories that crowns you like maria i find myself in beautiful self-imposed exile i find myself a giant i find it hard to focus; then there’s that story about how the blind horse was the only one on whose back you could cross the treacherous mountain pass because she was trusting and couldn’t see what to be afraid of pass the tight rope over fire over the black mountain, over half fish men merrily prodding, these days i’m in spain and satisfied in brief rapid cycles and my lips are the feet of a tree frog and the majority of conversations i have with strangers mention my americanness CAN’T SPELL WOMEN WITHOUT OMEN on july 29th i heard lorena scream in the garden UN BUHO! a dejected baby owl had flown into our walls we put him on the terrace to await the owl rescue but that night he flew into the koi pond and drowned mohamed ali said he loves how people want what they can’t have. is bored of knowing people better than they know themselves. is bored of traveling women, open to thrills. is bored of fucking newlywed women in the ass with their husbands in he next room. texts me two words every six months, “miss you” and i don’t know what he means by that alexius throws a pizza at me in the street because i’m blackout drunk again and he’s infatuated with someone else and doesn’t want to be around me but is too much of a coward to say so so he nudges me until i’m bitter and drunk drunk drunk and hungry for pizza… i often feel left lifting heavy things like endings, the endings are mine , and now i’m panic attacking, ugly crying in sol which is like, the times square of madrid a girl asks me if i’m okay and i say, it’s just a man. a man crouches with intense attention and concern his name is othmane and he has moroccan doe eyes, ossama’s eyes, mohamed ali’s eyes, he walks me home, speaking broken english, points at his eyes whenever i start to weep again, i tell him no sex, tell him i knew loving this guy was dumb from the start, and i did, i did, i promise i did. othmane tells me to be patient, starts repeating, rakk, takk, making the gesture of throwing and pulling he says, you throw out the net, rakk, you wait, and it will always bring something back to you, takk. remember that you have already thrown the net. rakk, takk, rakk, takk. i woke up one morning with my left eye red and puffy, a distortion in the lens never left after that though it’s possible it was already slightly there and i hadn’t been paying attention i went to the eye doctor who had me balance tiny strips of paper on my lower inner eyelids, then based on the papers’ saturation told me my eyes were so dry, están secissimos i feel docile and compliant and humming with asmr when i’m in the doctor’s office and not having a panic attack. i’ll put off going to the doctor forever, i mean i’ll walk on a broken ankle for five months,,,,,,,,,,, nobody will understand it not even i will understand it i woke up one morning and my country had been pulled out from under me i woke up one morning and my country had been handed over i walk past streets named after dictator’s generals i walk past walls that have crumbled for centuries MOONSAULT my trouble is i can see out of both of my eyes at the same time. i can see all the way around the whole tree branch, it wraps and it doesn’t and there’s not much i can do about it i forgot how to be and not even a good fuck or a good feast could bring me back from the edge where the city sits so small and perfect, fully formed in a cloud of silty haze, i can see all the way around the whole world how it’s fig pink and dirty how it’s gray and dirty how it’s dry and dirty i’m overcome with the need to dive between unknowable edges when one color becomes the next between the pollution haze and the sky between the sea haze and the sky between the me and the sky unsure what makes me deign to trust one poison over another my body itself is a margin among margins foldable, stiffening one long dissolve from scene to scene i don’t scream anymore, i just see and dissolve TRYIN TO GET UP THAT GREAT BIG HILL OF HOPE sometimes i sleep poorly but in great black gaps eyes thudding open in the dawn light, waking like a stone drops through water it has been a hypersaturated year this is perhaps the most beautiful time of my life i love my home and friends, the end of summer swims swiftly in great golden honey droplets. feel disconnected like time and reality wheels are spinning out of sync, subtitle track is off i’m not afraid to say anything, sprawl my branches over the garden walls figs, sweet and pink and reptilian, fall into the pond in nebraska my old dog grows new lumps   i’ve learned to see liars a kilometer away but not exactly how to avoid them i love the feeling of standing up and almost blacking out alone, clutching the wall, reality becoming 2D black and white squares for a minute and me grinning for the thrill of it. breathing deep into the blackness. do other people not live as projections of themselves in the imagined feelings of others? i surprise myself at how rarely i get tired of compensating for the gracelessness of men. my home/garden/sanctuary protects me a moth tastes my fingers sun illuminates a globe of champagne-colored sap birds peck at the plums and figs the pretty fish swim and the waterfall muffles the sounds of the bus down the street i wanna be held  called peque, little chicken, honey bun, reminisce i speak cryptically; i tip-toe around, i’ll fuck your husband to save your marriage i’ll fuck anybody with a garden full of ripe tomatoes. i want every day to be like those videos of color blind people who see purple for the first time. i like to get high and ride my bike like a normal 30 year old woman
