Recent decklist updates
Hi folks. Quick update just to let you know that a few of my decks have had some changes that are now reflected here on the blog. My decklists for Experiment Kraj, Gishath, and my recently added Godzilla Series list for Biollante have all been adjusted to match the current physical version. I have another decklist post planned soon for the next part of the Godzilla Series, so stay tuned for that if you’re interested.
Check out below for specific mentions as to what’s been changed.
Most of these changes are minor, consisting mainly of just a handful of cards that help the lists with their specific gameplans. Experiment Kraj gained a Heronblade Elite which features a fantastic mana ability. The fact that it can make any color is a big addition to this list - most of the multi-mana producers that were available before this could only make green, so a card like this goes a long way for this deck.
Gishath received three cards, the most prominent being a Cavern of Souls which I was finally able to track down for the list following the card's reprint in the new edition of Double Masters. Cavern is obviously a massive boon for any tribal list so it's nice to finally have one for the deck. Other additions include Blessed Respite and the absolute classic Reinforcements from all the way back in Alliances. Both of these cards add a bit of staying power to the list and let Gishath get his friends back into the game after a boardwipe or other problematic removal. There aren't a ton of options for recursion in this tribe when you're sticking as close to it as I am, so these options are very helpful.
Biollante's list is the newest one among the updates, but I am always experimenting with changes to keep my lists fresh and help their gameplay. I added a Vivien on the Hunt to this list as I think it's a very solid addition to the overall flow of the deck. While this isn't a dedicated pod-style list and doesn't actually include a Birthing Pod, I think that the versatility of this new Vivien adds enough options that it's worth including in a list like this. Manipulating the graveyard to the deck's advantage using Vivien's first and second abilities helps to prep Biollante for an explosive turn, and in a pinch the Rhino token that the third ability makes can be an emergency mutate target after a wipe to help the deck get rolling again.
Overall these are not huge changes but I think all of them add more than enough to their respective builds to be worthwhile. As always, I will continue to work on all my active lists, testing new options as they appear and keeping an eye out for cards that I may not have noticed before. The Two milk men!
A month ago I met TedNivision at VidCon 2022! He was pretty sweet!!!
He’s with Ralph Capone on a subway car (themed after Revivebur fanart)! I put these two guys together because they are both semi-involved with Milk.
According to the Capone Family legend (and Wikipedia) one of the reasons he got his Nickname, “Bottles” was because it “was specifically tied to his lobbying the Illinois Legislature to put into law that milk bottling companies had to stamp the date that the milk was bottled on the bottle”.

LGBTQ+ organizations and allies are celebrating Michigan for becoming the first state in three years to pass comprehensive anti-discrimination protections for sexual orientation and gender identity. The legislation, which now heads to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) to be signed into law, finally passed after decades of court battles and hold-ups from Republican legislators.
The bill passed in a 64-45 vote in the Democrat-led House on Wednesday. It amends the state’s 1976 Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act (ELCRA) to include LGBTQ+ people among its protected groups. The law forbids discrimination in housing, employment, and public accommodation within businesses, government buildings, and educational facilities on the basis of religion, race, color, national origin, age, sex, height, weight, familial status, marital status — and now, LGBTQ+ identity.
Democrats had tried introducing various LGBTQ+ non-discrimination measures over the last 40 years, according to the bill’s gay sponsor Sen. Jeremy Moss (D). However, the attempts were repeatedly voted down by Republican-led legislatures. Last January, Democrats took control of the full legislature for the first time in nearly 40 years, finally giving them the chance to pass the protections.
In July 2022, Michigan’s Supreme Court issued a landmark 5–2 ruling that ELCRA already forbade discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity as forms of discrimination based on sex and gender. This followed a 2020 Michigan Court of Claims ruling that said ELCRA didn’t ban anti-gay discrimination as well as a 2018 vote by Michigan’s Civil Rights Commission interpreting ELCRA as protecting LGBTQ+ people from religious-based discrimination...
When the House voted to pass the historic bill on Wednesday, a crowd in the House gallery broke into applause, Bridge Michigan reported. Republican House members had tried adding amendments that would’ve carved out exceptions for religious people to continue discriminating against LGBTQ+ people. None of these amendments passed into the final bill.
Gov. [Whitmer] has signaled that she will soon sign the bill into law. In a Wednesday tweet, she noted the observation of International Women’s Day and wrote, “I’m celebrating trans women who have continuously led the way, despite constant threats to their lives and liberty. I’m proud that we’re finally in a position to expand the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act to protect LGBTQ+ Michiganders. Let’s get it done!”

Where The Crawdads Sing
When Where the Crawdads Sing trailer had dropped, I had no interest in watching this movie. When Taylor Swift dropped the song Carolina, again I had no interest in seeing this movie.
So, What changed?
No, it wasn’t the hype or FOMO. What got me was the overplayed trailer, I was curious.
Reese Witherspoon talked about the book of the same name during the promotional tour aspect of this. Which of course, I did go out and buy but sadly haven’t had a chance to read just yet.
Couple of weeks before I had seen this movie, after multiple trailer watches I assumed I knew who the killer was.
Well, let’s just say…
I was wrong.
The trailer was clever in how it gave all those possible ideas of who the killer could be, it never once gave a clear indicated of this person but instead a choice for the viewer to guess. What the movie does is stretch out the truth into a slow burn bordering on the edge of reveal.
Where the Crawdads Sing follows a young girl who had been dubbed as the Marsh Girl from a young age, Kya. She was a young girl who was abandoned, not through choice by her family. Now as a young adult, Kya navigates a new sense of life. She starts a slow burn relationship with her childhood friend; Tate, before he leaves to figure out his way in life. Than comes along Chase Andrews, a young man who turns Kya’s life upside down.
Chase Andrews uses the world against Kya, as she attempts to find her strength see the truth. Kya is swept up into being the culprit of Chase’s death.
Where the Crawdads Sing is quite clever in the way they tell this story the way they did.
It starts with the seeing Chase Andrews dead, with the police automatically pinning it on Kya before using flashbacks to twine together the past and present.
With help of Kya’s narrations the story flashes with the past of Kya’s upbringing, the past of how she loved Tate, the past of how attempt of a relationship with Chase while presenting the story around the court case, flashing in between key pieces of evidence and key pieces of words as Kya talks with her lawyer in her cell.
Each scene assists in the guessing game of whodunnit, the guessing game of Was it Kya? It couldn’t of been Kya? It was Kya, No it wasn’t Kya. Trending that fine line of teasing the audience.
Even with the final scene, it still toys with the idea of the truth with one simple piece of evidence. Where the Crawdads Sing is quite clever in their storytelling, a bit slow paced though out though it does pay off as Carolina plays over the closing credits.

Because of the alliance, Luffy had demanded that Law and the Heart Pirates come on to the Thousand Sunny for a party. While Law was reluctant to do so, the rest of the crew was thrilled and jumped ahead, leaving their captain with no choice. You’d picked out a nice sundress to wear, and began heading up to where the ship was docked with Law.
Once arriving, you tried to convince Law to socialize, but he refused, sitting on a crate away from everyone. Chopper had noticed the fellow doctor and brought him some onigiri, which Sanji had prepared just for Law.
“Oh, (Name)! I think Robin and Nami wanted to see you,” the reindeer told you.
“Really? Where are they at?” You asked.
Chopper turned around to look at the party, not quite noticing them for a moment… until…
“I see them! At the far end of the table!”
You followed Chopper’s words and looked in said direction, seeing the two women laughing and being served some drinks by Sanji.
“You won’t get too lonely without me, will you?” You teasingly asked Law.
He promptly rolled his eyes and gestured for you to go. With a grin, you gave him a sneaky kiss on the cheek and ran off.
Once you’d sat down with the girls, Sanji had thrown his arms up in delight at your arrival.
“(Name)-swan! I’m so glad you joined us!”
As fast as he had turned excited, he then became …serious?
“Tell me, what do you want to eat? I’ll make anything for you.”
“Oi, back off Sanji! You know she’s with somebody.” Nami interjected.

That was the first line crossed for Law. While he didn’t necessarily hate Sanji, the guy sure was pissing him off right now. The way he bent over backwards for you, doing anything to please you despite knowing you belonged to Law. Taking a rather aggressive bite out of his food, Law huffed.
“Captain… are you alright?”
Law turned to see Bepo standing beside him, looking concerned.

This was no good. That meant that people were going to notice him… his jealousy.

But then Law looked up, seeing Zoro now sitting next to you, throwing an arm over your shoulders and offering you some of whatever expensive drink the pirate had.

Then Sanji came out with your food. “Hey! Mosshead! Back off, I’m the one who’s gonna impress her!”
“Oh quit it you two!” Nami yelled, “she isn’t impressed by anyone. She’s with Law for crying out loud!”
Sanji then put the plate of your favorite food down in front of you, grinning from ear to ear.
“Oh, this looks really good!” You exclaimed. “Thank you, Sanji.”
“Of course! You’re welcome, (Name)-swan!”

Law couldn’t take it any more. Seeing red now, he got up from his spot and stomped straight over to where you were sitting with the girls, surrounded by the two annoying men. You smirked a little, knowing what he was up to.
“Look! Now he’s actually pissed,” Nami complained.
“Oi, (Name),” Law called out to you.
Sanji launched himself back, screaming in terror. Zoro simply sighed, walking away altogether.
“I have something… to talk to you about,” Law informed you, “come with me.”
Rolling your eyes, you told the girls you were sorry and got up to follow Law. He lead you all the way to the edge of the Thousand Sunny, pretty much out of sight before saying;
“Room.”
You watched the blue dome surround you, and suddenly…

You were then in Law’s office. He must’ve swapped the two of you out for a pencil or something small and unobvious.
You turned to Law, who was huffing and glaring at the floor, clenching his fists.

"chaewon's little sister's group drop their single today duh." Sakura replies like it's the most obvious thing ever. "chaewon unnie has a little sister ?" eunchae looks up surprised. "since when ?" kazuha follows up.
"uh since 2003." chaewon laughs. "she's my age and you've never introduced me to her ?" kazuha asks offended.

"who cares put it on put it on!" sakura yells at chaewon as chaewon struggles to find the controller to put it one youtube.
thanking kazuha who hands it to her, chaewon types in attention new jeans into the search bar.
yunjin rises an eyebrow as she sees hybe labels so this is the new girl group.
the girls watch the music video, the girls in the video seem to be at a concert.
the song starts, yunjin heart stops for a second as she looks at a very pretty girl in middle dancing in the intro of the song.
she flinches at chaewon and sakura's squeal. "MY BABYYY.” sakura yells.
that's unnie's sister ? she's pretty.
"your sister is pretty unnie." eunchae says to chaewon leaning into her shoulder. "very." yunjin adds on.
just as the music video ends, chaewon gets a facetime, chaewon's phone being beside yunjin, she looks at the name "ynnie 🐰."
chaewon grabs her phone answering the call, all the girls huddling around her, and that's when the very pretty girl from the video popped up on the screen.

"I'm good, I just got off the phone with yujin and wonyoung, they called to congratulate me."
sakura and yn continue to talk, chaewon rolling her eyes at sakura for hogging yn, she hasn't been able to talk to her sister much since yn has been busy preparing for her debut.
as kazuha and eunchae watch the music video again, being obsessed with the song, yunjin listens to yours and sakura's conversation being completely entranced with your soft voice.
but that soft voice turns into a high pitched scream.
"HYEIN STOP PULLING AT MY ANKLES !”yunjin hears multiple giggles in the background and a strong australian accent. "no keep pulling at unnies ankles."
that must be her members, they seem to tease her like how we tease chaewon unnie.

yn's popularity has spiked since the last time yunjin and yn danced together in the practice room, both girls have stayed in touch with each other, but haven't talked much with both of their busy schedules.

once the box is open she looks inside to see another box, but this time it has the expensive lettering of chanel on it, and right then and there she knew who the box was from.
yunjin picks up the flat chanel box and takes the card from the ribbon around it.
we haven't talked much cause of our schedules but I just wanted to give you a little gift as a thank you for being there and still being there for me when I need to talk, hope you think of me as a person that you can talk to as well:)
