This painting was once part of the vast collection of Philip, Duke of Orleans, Regent of France (1624–1723).

Finished! Second color portrait in oil painting class. Study of 1650 portrait of Juan de Pareja by Velasquez.

Traditional glazing technique using raw sienna, vermilion, alizarin, Indian yellow, ultramarine blue, and ivory black. A dash of zinc white for highlights since I'm still too chicken to use flake white which has lead in it.
