Jealousy, jealousy
Tumblr media
Requested by anonymous: Hi 👋 can you please write for Vincenzo, Jang Han Seok, Jang Han Seo about how will they react when their jealous?
Thank you ❤️
Pairings: Vincenzo Cassano, Jang Han-Seok & Jang Han-Seo x reader
Warnings: toxic relationship (Han-Seok)
Vincenzo Cassano:
Tumblr media
Picking you up at work after your shift was normal for him
normally you are right at the entrance, waiting for him
today you're not
instead, you are still inside and talking to someone
it seemed like you were stopped before leaving, clear as you were holding your bag and dressed in a long coat and his shawl
now Vincenzo knew you were an decent person, not one to ever lie or even think of cheating
but the burning feeling in his chest was impossible to ignore
his hands were clenched, fingernails digging in his palm as he watched from outside
receiving weird looks from a number of people that just as quickly left after being glared at
now there are multiple ways this could go after that
one, he'd remain outside and wait for you
more likely to was option number two
he'd go inside and get you
so with a fake smile plastered on his face, he made his way inside
one of his arms made his way around your waist, a chaste kiss on your cheek before he turned to the person
holding out his hand to greet them, he made sure to tighten his grip a bit more than necessary
then he turned to you again
and you could see the slight annoyance in his eyes, so you excused yourself and made your way outside
"You're jealous."
he scoffs and roles his eyes at you
but does not deny anything and instead chooses to remain quiet
"He's already married with three kids. Trust me, he's not interested."
it changes nothing, Vincenzo has seen man do much worse
but he drops it and focuses on you instead
you might get a more clingy Vincenzo for the rest of the day though
Jang Han Seok:
Tumblr media
won't even try to defend him
he gets jealous quickly, doesn't really like anyone talking to you
but he won't act until it goes to far
which basically means if the other person got a bit too close for his liking
touching you in any way is also a giant no
and if that happens, the person would suddenly not talk to you anymore for some reason
worst case scenario, they'd suddenly dissapear
best example of this is your previous boss
a bit too handsy for Han-Seok's liking, even though his actions were meant in a fatherly way
and you knew this of course, seeing no problem with the touches since they were all with your consent
suddenly he didn't show up the next day
or the next
or the next week
and then you're told that you have a new boss since the previous one quit
you're at a complete loss, which quickly turns into a rant as you tell your boyfriend
unaware as he smiles throughout the story
also unaware of your previous boss' screams from your basement
instead, Han-Seok shushes to sleep with a smirk
Jang Han Seo:
Tumblr media
this man makes it impossible for you not to make him jealous
he trusts you fully, but by God does he get pouty
first time noticing this is at a work party
he's standing by your side, arm wrapped around your waist
you talk to a business partner
one from overseas and thus different ways of greeting
more commonly a kiss, or three, on the cheek while smiling brightly
you are accustomed to this, Han-Seo is definitely not
first, a look of bewilderment
quickly followed by a scoff and roll of the eyes
(cause he's sassy like that)
but as the conversation continues and your laughter doesn't seize, he gets pouty
fingers playing with your dress/shirt, trying to get your attention
all while his bottom lip is slightly pushed out in a form of pout
this can end in two ways then
one, he gets his attention and your friend leaves
which makes him happy, of course, and will probably get you kisses
second one, you continue to talk
gets more pouty before leaving your side, just barely though
gets something to drink or eat, gets you one as well
then basically forces himself in the conversation one way or another
will call you his wife on accident, blushes but remains confident in that statement
he's ready to pop the question anyway if you wanted him too, ring always ready in the inner pocket of his jacket/pants pocket
you usually shrug it off to his greatest disappointment
and when the conversation is fully stopped, you will probably be kissed as well
you're getting kissed anyway, so choose your route

— temptation
pairing : jang junwoo // jang hanseok x reader
warnings : adult content (18+), smut, slight choking, cursing
word count : 1.8k
summary : After joining Hanseok’s team, you end up becoming surprisingly close to him
Tumblr media
The second you entered the large room, all eyes were on you, however it didn’t intimidate you, on the contrary, the corner of your mouth raised into a discreet smirk.
“Mr. Jang, this is the lawyer I talked to you about, Y/N.” Mrs. Choi introduced you to the tall, brown-haired man which you assumed was the boss, based on his rather dark yet charismatic aura.
“She is way younger than I thought.” He noticed, his gaze travelling all over your body. “Who would’ve thought such a young person carries the title of the best South Korea’s Lawyer.” He admitted, raising one of his eyebrows.
“If I’m not mistaken, you aren’t old either and yet you are Babel’s feared chairman. As you can see success has nothing to do with age.” You exclaimed, sitting down on one of the chairs.
You looked around the room and noticed everyone else besides you and the chairman, standing. Before you could comment anything, Mr. Jang nodded his head at them, as a sign to sit down.
In the corner of your eye, two unfamiliar men sitting at the table caught your attention. You must’ve not really seen them when you entered the room.
“May I ask who are you?” You looked at one of the men whose face had soft surprisingly soft features and dark, sliced back hair.
“I’m Jang Hanseo, the boss’s brother.” He said, looking around the room, seeming uncomfortable with eye contacts.
“My name is Han Seung Hyuk.” The second man spoke up and you gave them both a tiny smile before turning your head towards the chairman.
“Let’s go straight to the point, Mrs. Y/N are you willing to join my team and become even more successful than you already are?” He smirked, waiting for your answer.
“Well Mrs. Choi didn’t really go into details so I still don’t know what I would have to do specifically.” You admitted, leaning into your chair.
“Do what you’re the best at, defend me and Babel if we ever get into troubles. Babel is going to be very soon the most powerful company in South Korea so trust me, you won’t regret working with us.” He said shortly.
“Do you expect me to do anything else than defending, which include crimes and illegal activities?” You cocked your eyebrow, watching Mr. Jang’s lips turn into a smirk.
Thanks to the years of your career, you were able to read people better than books so the second you entered the room, you knew he wasn’t a simple, successful chairman. Maybe it was his dark gaze or his strange aura, you weren’t sure but something was off about him.
“I will be honest with you, Mrs. Y/N. You, personally won’t be involved in anything that goes against the law, you’ll leave it to us.” He said, sincerely not looking fazed by what you said.
“I’m in.”
After a few months, you got to know your team better and you often spent time with them outside of your work hours because their presence genuinely made you feel better. However, there was one particular person with whom you got significantly closer than with the others : Jang Hanseok.
Although, you promised yourself to never get your personal feelings involved in your work, you couldn’t help but feel your knees get weaker at every eye contact you shared with the chairman.
At first, you completely neglected your feelings, actually cursing yourself for acting this way until you started noticing Hanseok acting different than usually. Although he wanted to act indifferent, his body language heavily betrayed him.
Whenever you spoke to him, he’d lean towards you saying he couldn’t hear well, until your lips were practically a few centimetres away from each other.
But even though, you could read people like books, you weren’t a hundred precent confident Hanseok was into you, so you decided to let it slide for the time being.
The first serious charges towards Babel appeared on the internet after a few months since you’ve joined the team. Usually, Hanseok was able to make the articles disappear thanks to his connection but this time the charges were too serious and you needed to take it to the court.
Thanks your unbeatable lawyer skills, you had no issue winning against Vincenzo’s team. Even though they had proofs and witnesses, you predicted each one of their moves and you were able to defend Babel properly.
Once at Hanseok’s apartment, everyone clicked their glasses filled with champagne and celebrated your victory.
“Y/N you were amazing back there, you didn’t even stutter once!” Hanseo noticed, smiling at you.
“The key to success is confidence.” You admitted, comfortably leaning your body into the black couch.
“I have to admit, we would have been in a very bad spot if it wasn’t for you.” Mrs Choi added, sipping champagne afterwards.
“You all flatter me too much.” You laughed.
Everyone talked about the trial yet the person you were expecting to be the happiest among the team, didn’t even spare you a word. Hanseok was sitting on one of his armchairs, seeming lost in his own thoughts.
Midnight eventually came by and everyone decided to head to their houses. You bid your goodbyes to Hanseo, Mrs. Choi and Mr. Han who quickly left the mansion and you were about to put your shoes on when Hanseok grabbed your arm.
You turned around and you felt his his gaze pierce trough your soul. Your breath hitched when Hanseok’s eyes shamelessly stared at your lips, noticing his pupils expanding.
Without a second thought, Hanseok put his hand behind your neck and locked your lips together.
At first, you were in a state of shock, not excepting the evening to take such a 180° turn but you quickly smiled into the kiss, giving him the hint to continue.
“I didn’t get to properly thank you for what you did today.” He whispered, between the kisses. “So let me show you how grateful I am.” He smirked and suddenly picked you up, making you wrap your legs around his torso.
None of you dared to break the kiss and Hanseok eventually led you to his bedroom where he carefully laid you down on the massive bed.
“Properly thank me?” You cocked one of your eyebrows, looking at your boss who was on his knees between your legs.
“If it wasn’t for you, we would’ve lost over 760 million dollars today.” He admitted, slowly leaving a trail of wet kisses down your neck.
You couldn’t help but moan at the pleasing feeling of his hot tongue doing wonders on your sensitive skin. His big hands roamed over your body, driving you crazy.
“May I?” He looked at your shirt and one nod was enough for him to rip it open. He smirked as his eyes devoured your body. “Holy shit Y/N.”
You chuckled at his reaction and he quickly took off your pants, only leaving you in your undergarments. His mouth started savouring your chest, progressively going down your body until he was face to face with your private area.
He didn’t hesitate to bury his face inside you which took you by surprise and made you moan his name out loud. Your fingers gripped his locks while his mouth sent an euphoric feeling through your whole body.
“Han- Hanseok” You stuttered, gripping the white bedsheets next to you. A certain pressure started building in your lower abdomen.
“Let it out princess.” His raspy voice sent vibrations on your private area which only made the feeling ten times better.
As his dark eyes met yours, you moaned out loud and arched your back before you ended up coming into his mouth.
“You taste so good.” He hummed, still busy eating you out down there.
Although the pleasure felt like heaven, you started becoming too overwhelmed so you whined, slightly pulling at Hanseok’s hair.
He got the hint and slowly came back to hover above you. His well-built body and big muscles made you feel insanely small under him.
“Is someone tired already, hm?” He ran his finger under your chin and you felt his member pocking your inner thigh trough his pants.
You shook your head and slowly pumped him trough the fabric. He smirked and breathed out at the feeling. After helping him take off his clothes, you made him sit down on the bed with his back against the headboard.
“You’re driving me crazy Y/N.” He moaned when you left a few hickeys on his neck and chest, finally marking him as yours.
After a few minutes of kissing and teasing, you carefully positioned yourself between his legs and sat down on his member, making you both gasp out loud. Hanseok immediately placed his hands on your waist, waiting for you to adjust before helping you move.
“You good?” He breathed out and you nodded, feeling his manhood stretching you out.
Although you had a few boyfriends before him, none of them had such an impressive length like Hanseok did.
Once you were fully comfortable, you started riding him, making both of you moan in pleasure.
“Fuck.” He groaned, speeding up your movements.
You wrapped your arms around his neck and buried your face in his shoulder as a way to muffle your loud moans.
“Let me hear you baby.” He whispered, adding hip thrusts to match your movements and at the same time completely rocking your world.
When he saw you didn’t budge your head from his shoulder, he grabbed your neck with one his hands and slightly choked you which only brought you more pleasure. You leaned in and locked your lips together, the kiss being wet and messy.
After a few minutes you felt yourself clenching around his member, meaning you were close.
“Fuck do that again.” He moaned with his eyes closed and his head thrown back. You smirked at how submissive he looked in that particular moment.
His grip on your waist tightened, definitely leaving bruises, yet the pain added more pleasure.
You both eventually came together with loud moans echoing trough the empty house. Hanseok gently laid you down on your side and put your head on his chest, letting you rest. While you were busy regaining strength, he played with your hair and admired your face.
“Let’s go take a bath before sleeping.” He caressed your cheek and picked you up before leading you to the bathroom.
He carefully washed your whole body and gave you one of his shirts to wear in order to make you feel more comfortable. You both eventually fell asleep, tangled in each other’s arms, not fully knowing what tomorrow will bring. But none of you two cared. All that mattered at that moment was your presence besides each other.

warnings ┆ not really a warning but a bit ooc han-seok only cause he’ll be a simp for you… but i’m still writing his character as accurate as i can!
Tumblr media
Your feet were killing you from all the running you’ve been doing today. It’s been a hectic day at the law firm and it seems like everyone has it out for you since you simply could not catch a break. From having to file paper work, make phone calls, even grabbing coffee for some people; it was a lot.
You were out of breath and leaning against a wall when someone ran up behind you to spook you.
“Boo!”
You screamed and slapped whoever it was that scared you, your eyes widening when you saw Joon-woo rubbing his cheek.
“Oh my god I’m so sorry!”
“That was very funny,” Cha-young laughed and wrapped her arm around your shoulder.
“Wow you hit hard,” Joon-woo pouted down at you.
“Don’t scare me like that,” you playfully slapped his arm, earning a groan from him in return.
“Yeah well he had it coming,” Cha-young rolled her eyes before giving you a hug. “By the way, we won!”
You hugged her back just as tightly, a smile forming on your lips. “Really? I’m so proud of you!”
You could say the two of you were rather close, almost like sisters. Other than Joon-woo — who she can barely tolerate — you were the only person in the law firm that she genuinely liked. You both grew incredibly close and are practically inseparable. She was your favorite person in the world until Joon-woo started to work at Wusang, and it’s been a battle for your attention ever since.
You and Cha-young both held hands and began to jump around in circles while you squealed before Joon-woo wrapped his arms around you two and jumped in.
“Hey hey,” Cha-young shoved him away. “This is our girl moment.”
“Aren’t I considered one of the girls?” He grinned while pressing his index finger against his cheek.
Cha-young looked at him with disgust. “No you moron.”
“You’re so mean to him,” you rolled your eyes and grabbed his hands. “You will always be one of the girls.”
He smiled at you but had to quickly excuse himself when he felt his phone ringing. “I will see you two later. Bye besties.”
He proceeded to twirl away like a ballerina, and while you looked at him with admiration, Cha-young was definitely unamused.
“You like that?”
“He’s so cute.”
The three of you decided to celebrate after work and although you insisted that drinks would be on you, Cha-young refused to let you pay at all. You sometimes get a little too carried away when it comes down to drinking, seeing as how you already drank about four bottles of soju and was feeling tipsy already.
“I love you twooo,” you slurred as you grabbed both of their hands.
“______ you’re drunk,” Joon-woo laughed and you quickly hushed him.
“Not yet. I’m just tipsy.”
“That’s what they all say,” Cha-young shook her head with a smile before looking down at her phone. “Anyways I have to go. This is for the soju.” She placed a couple of bills in your hand but quickly grabbed them and handed it over to Joon-woo. “I don’t trust her with it.”
“I got it boss,” Joon-woo gave her a thumbs up. “Bye!”
“Goodbye my love!” You waved at Cha-young and blew her a kiss.
“Why don’t you ever call me that?” Joon-woo pouted.
You weren’t sure if he was joking or being serious, but considering your friendship, he was probably kidding around with you. It sort of hurt, knowing he probably doesn’t feel the same way, but you still cherished every little comment and touch you shared with Joon-woo. You felt yourself lean against his shoulder as you softly caressed his arm.
“Okay my love, I’m sorry.”
Your heart began to beat erratically inside your chest and you felt him wrap his arms around you. Maybe the alcohol was making him act weird as well, but when he asked if you wanted to go for a drive, you almost slapped him again. Even though you weren’t one-hundred percent sober, you were very much aware that drunk driving was not only against the law but super careless. Joon-woo promised you that he wasn’t tipsy or under the influence, and he shook his two empty bottles of soju in front of your face to prove his point — he also drank a good amount of water too.
In the end, you agreed to go on a drive through the city with him, having the windows rolled down while the wind fanned your faces and you both sang your hearts out. You sang to Perfect Man, Careless Whisper, some BTS songs, hell you even did some throwbacks and sang to the Backstreet Boys.
The night was amazing. It felt like a dream.
You were currently blasting ‘Hopelessly Devoted To You’ while you stuck your head out the window and let the wind blow your hair back, your eyes closed as you held your right arm out.
“But now, there’s no where to hide! Since you pushed my love aside! I’m outta my head, hopelessly devoted to you!”
You were too busy singing to even notice Joon-woo smile in your direction. You looked ethereal to him. The way your beautiful hair is flowing in the wind, how your voice sounds angelic when you sing, the way your smile lights up the night sky. He was incredibly whipped — if you could put it that way. He has never met anyone be so…perfect. He doesn’t know what it is about you, but he feels drawn to you, like you were meant to keep him grounded. The one pure thing in this world that he genuinely deserves.
He wants you to be his. He wants that so bad.
But for now, he has to wait. There’s no rush in making you his yet. Joon-woo wants to make sure he does this correctly because usually, he makes sure he gets what he wants when he needs it. But you’re delicate, you’re pure, you’re someone that managed to crawl inside his cold heart and slowly thaw it out. He doesn’t want to risk losing you or scaring you away, so in the mean time, he will cherish whatever friendship it is that you two share.
“He said what?!”
You and Cha-young were in her office as you spoke about your amazing night with Joon-woo. After he dropped you off at your place, you could’ve sworn it was going to lead to a kiss. The way he looked at you, with so much intensity, it made you feel weak in your knees. You wanted that kiss so bad but all he did was open the door for you, guide you inside, give you a glass of water, and give you a goodbye hug.
“At first when you left he pouted and asked why I never call him ‘my love’. Then I lean into him, apologize while calling him that, and he wrapped his arm around me. Cha-young I almost fainted.”
“Okay, then what?”
“We went on a drive and I made sure he wasn’t tipsy or drunk, which he wasn’t. It literally felt like something straight out of a kdrama. I just,” you let out a dreamy sigh and dropped yourself onto the ground, “it was perfect.”
“I mean this isn’t the first time you’ve hung out with just him right?”
“No, but it was definitely… different.”
“Ah that Joon-woo,” Cha-young frowned while pursing her lips. “Such a moron to not realize what a catch he has in front of him.”
“Maybe he likes you,” you suggested with a pout but wasn’t being serious about it.
“Me? Ha! Never in a million years! I terrorize him enough and even if he did, he’s not my type. I can beat him up for you.”
“You already do with your words.”
“I can also do it physically.”
“But then you’ll ruin his perfect face–”
“Hello my besties!”
Your eyes widened at his sudden arrival, and he walked around the table only to stop when he noticed you on the floor.
“Oh? What are you doing down there?”
“Dying.”
“Ah,” he nodded his head.
Cha-young stomped towards Joon-woo and slapped him on his shoulder. “Do you knock you moron?”
He awkwardly laughed. “So sorry but the boss man called. Mr. Han said that Babel Pharmaceutical’s Drug Development Division called because one of their researchers that was in quarantine went missing.”
“What?!”
You slowly sat up. “This is top secret information. I must go.”
“No, you’re coming with us.”
“Huh?” Both you and Joon-woo said at the same time. Cha-young seemed pissed and didn’t even acknowledge you both as she grabbed her bag and marched out the office, like a lion ready to mangle its prey. You and Joon-woo looked at each other with confusion before you both hurried out of the office and tailed behind the angry lawyer.
The three of you reached your destination in no time and you stood behind Cha-young — who was sitting down and was eerily quiet. Joon-woo on the other hand? He was getting after the two pharmacists in front you.
“It’s been two days. Why didn’t you tell us sooner? Look at her,” he gestured at Cha-young. “She’s so upset!”
“I’m sorry,” one of the pharmacists apologized.
“My god… seriously,” Joon-woo hissed out.
Seeing him angry…was kinda hot.
Cha-young finally broke her silence as she glared at the two men. “I told you to keep a close eye on all the newly employed researchers. I didn’t want them to complain, so I got them to stay at the chairman’s villa!” She stood up and paused for a second before continuing. “If that researcher talks nonsense, we’ll lose this suit.”
“And that new drug, it’ll be the end of it as well!” Joon-woo stepped in.
“I’m truly sorry,” one of them apologized… again before the two bowed.
This was truly frustrating to watch.
“Do the higher ups know?” You involuntarily spoke without realizing it, making everyone look at you. You placed a fist over your mouth and slowly turned away.
“No ma’am. They don’t.”
“Then let’s keep it that way. Don’t you dare tell them,” Cha-young glared at them.
“Never!” Joon-woo pointed a finger.
After the two pharmacists agreed and you three took your leave, you walked out of the building to sort of decompress the conversation. Cha-young was still irritated — rightfully so. Joon-woo was saying things that irritated her more. And you? Well, you were there for support. Things took a turn when Cha-young spotted the Chairman of Babel, Jang Han-seo, and practically ran to him. The whole encounter was short since he seemed to be in a hurry and it almost felt like he brushed her off in the end, which made your jaw drop.
“I get that he’s a chairman, but how can he talk down on us on our first encounter?” You frowned and crossed your arms.
“And he’s young too,” Joon-woo hissed.
“Anyone who’s rich and powerful can do so even if they’re younger than me,” Cha-young spoke with displeasure.
You scoffed. “With that mindset, you might as well have a child actor tell you what to do.”
The three of you stood there for a while before Cha-young excused herself and said her goodbye’s, claiming she had somewhere to go. Both you and Joon-woo watched her leave before he tapped your shoulder with a smile.
“Want some steak? I got paid yesterday.”
“You don’t even have to ask me twice, let’s go!”
And boy was that steak so damn good. Maybe it’s the fact you were starving since you skipped out on breakfast, which was definitely a bad idea on your part. You didn’t even bother eating anything since you woke up with such a grimm taste on your mouth due to the alcohol. All you did was pop a mint into your mouth after you brushed your teeth, got ready, and went to work.
“Wow you’re going to finish before me,” Joon-woo’s jaw dropped. “Did you not eat breakfast?”
“I didn’t have time. After you dropped me off last night I went to bed and felt super woozy and just knocked out. Woke up feeling like crap, plus, I was running late too.”
“You can’t skip out on meals though,” he pouted with a small frown. “You’ll get sick.”
“Aw, you care about my well being?” You cooed.
“Of course I care,” he muttered to himself before taking a bite out of his steak.
You ignored the butterflies in your stomach at his words and you took a sip of your water, trying to fight the blush on your cheeks.
“______ do you like anybody?”
Cue you choking on your water as you lightly spit it out. Joon-woo immediately stood up to help you while you embarrassingly coughed so loud that everyone decided to look at you. You cleaned your face with a napkin while Joon-woo patted your back, and you were quick to hit his stomach, making him flinch.
“Why would you ask me that?”
“Because you and Cha-young were talking about it.”
Holy fuck did he hear us?
“I wasn’t eavesdropping or anything, but I did hear her saying she’ll beat someone up for you and you said no since it’ll ruin his perfect face,” he sighed. “Am I not one of the girls after all?”
“That’s different girl talk though,” you quickly defended yourself.
“So you do like someone?”
“I never said that.”
“But you’re acting suspicious.”
“Okay so what if I do?”
“Do I know him?”
“Maybe.”
“Who is it?”
He was bombarding you with questions and you felt cornered. It didn’t help that he was practically leaning into you while one hand rested on your chair and the other on the table. If he leaned in just a little closer, you could easily move your head up and kiss him. Why is he curious about your love life? Does he like you?
“Why do you wanna know so bad, hm?” You pressed.
“Just looking after you. Cha-young may be fierce but I have the muscle.” He stepped back and punched the air while doing sound effects. “No one will dare hurt you.”
Oh, so he’s just being a good friend. You’re gonna let that disappointment sink in right about now.
“I’m still not telling you.”
“But why?” He whined.
“Do you like anybody?”
“I actually do.”
Your fork clattered onto your plate while you stared up at him. He was smiling and looking up at the ceiling, and he appeared to be daydreaming or something. He sat back down on his chair and you did your best to hold your composure.
“Oh. What’s she like?”
Joon-woo let out a dreamy sigh. “She’s amazing. Hard-working. Has a good sense of humor. She’s perfect to me.”
You wanted to throw up. Your appetite vanished and the delicious steak that sat in front of you didn’t seem appetizing anymore. Your hands felt numb and you could literally feel your heart breaking at his words.
“She sounds nice,” you mumbled while plastering your best fake smile.
“Mhm. I really want to ask her out but I just don’t know how do it. I think she likes someone else though, but that won’t make me give up.”
Maybe you should. Forget her.
“Joon-woo, she’s an idiot for not liking you.”
“You think so?” His eyes brightened. “How should I ask her out then?”
Why the fuck are you the one that has to listen to this conversation? Why couldn’t it of been Cha-young? You could either just walk away and lie about your stomach hurting and leave him here, or you could genuinely help him. You didn’t want to be a bad friend, and you most definitely didn’t want to bail on him just because you felt jealous and was undergoing a heartbreak. You weren’t that type of friend. He deserves everything, especially your support. If he doesn’t like you, then you can’t do anything about it. It is what it is and you have to suck it up.
“Start off by getting her small gifts. Flowers, food, anything she likes. Compliment her when she’s feeling down or when she thinks she doesn’t look great… she’ll eventually start to notice you. Buy her a bouquet of flowers, something really pretty, then pour out your feelings and let her know how much she means to you.”
You wanted to cry. Your eyes were brimming with tears and you were just a second away from a breakdown.
“Excuse me I have to pee.”
You shot out of your seat and ran to the bathroom, and the moment you stepped inside, you broke. You have never felt this type of heartbreak before, not even with your previous partners. Joon-woo isn’t even your boyfriend, and yet, he’s the one who broke you more. You were a crying mess while you pulled out your phone and called Cha-young. The moment she heard your sobs, she went crazy. You told her what happened but made her promise to not kill Joon-woo after this, and that took a lot of convincing.
“Can you just… p-please call him and make up an excuse. I-I don’t think I can be here right now.”
“Ah! This is so frustrating! I can’t just hit him at all?”
“No.”
She mumbled a few curse words before replying. “Fine. Send me the address and I’ll be on my way. I’ll think of something.”
“Thank you.”
You hung up and gave yourself a bit more time before stepping out. You washed your face and applied a bit of make up to hide the fact that you were just crying. When you stepped back outside and began to walk towards your table, you noticed Joon-woo was on the phone.
“But we’re having steak,” he replied and shot you a wave when he saw you. “Cha-young please,” he whined before letting out a huff. “Fine.”
“What happened?”
“Cha-young called saying she needed you for some errands. She said you weren’t answering her calls.”
“Really?” You acted clueless and pulled out your phone, staring at your empty lock screen. “Oh wow, I didn’t even notice.”
“Yeah,” he huffed. “She’s on her way to pick you up.”
“Did she say where we were going?”
“Nope.”
You nodded your head and turned your attention back towards your steak, gently stabbing it with your fork. Joon-woo squinted his eyes when he noticed your change in demeanor.
“Hey, you okay?”
Fuck.
But right on cue, your phone began to ring and you quickly answered it. Relief hit you when you heard Cha-young say she was outside and you shot Joon-woo a sad smile.
“Sorry, I have to go. Be safe heading back home and text me when you get there!” You scurried out of your seat and paused for a second. “Good luck with that girl.”
Then you left, leaving a completely dumbfounded and upset Joon-woo behind.
The next few weeks definitely felt different and you tried to put as much distance between you and Joon-woo as possible. He seemed to pick up on it and would try to follow you around, asking if something is going on. You would put your best poker face and tell him that everything was okay and you were just busy with work. He didn’t seem to buy your excuse but you didn’t care anymore. You wanted to get over whatever feelings you had for him.
Then, the tragic news hit of Cha-young’s father passing away, and she was a mess. You knew they never got along but you weren’t blind to the fact that deep down she cared for him. He was her father after all. Even though Joon-woo was there for her, you were the one who slept over at her place — well her dad’s house — to cheer her up and offer her a shoulder to cry on. You were devastated when she left Wusang though, but nonetheless, you’ll still be able to see her outside of work.
When you received a call from her that she was apparently detained, you grabbed Joon-woo and ran towards the police station to bail her out.
But instead, a rather handsome guy wearing a suit waltzed in, providing concrete proof and demanding for her to be released. He definitely held some power to him and you wondered if he was her new partner since she did take over her father’s law firm. The moment you all left, she immediately walked towards his direction as he spoke on the phone.
“He’s smart,” spoke Joon-woo.
You nodded in agreement. “He’s also hot, but wow do they look good together.”
“Hot?” Joon-woo’s voice sounded a bit rough, but he cleared his throat and fixed his collar. “I mean, maybe they’re dating.”
You squinted your eyes. “No… she would’ve told me about it. I think he’s that lawyer she’s been telling me about.”
“Vincenzo Cassano?”
“Mhm,” you nodded your head and shoved your hands in your pockets while walking over to them, Joon-woo following behind.
“Lawyer Vincenzo Cassano?” Joon-woo curiously asked.
The man turned around with an impressed look. “You’re the first Korean to pronounce my name correctly.”
Joon-woo smiled at the compliment. “I used to be her assistant back in Wusang. I’m Jang Joon-woo.”
“And I’m _____ _____, you’ll probably hear more about me.”
Vincenzo nodded his head but squinted his eyes at Joon-woo. “How do you know me?”
“Ah, because I did a background check on you for Cha-young.”
Cue him doubling over after Cha-young kicked his leg. You choked back a laugh and shook your head when everyone’s eyes landed on you.
“Sooo, are you two working close?” You asked with a smile.
Vincenzo just looked at you with a bored expression before walking off. “No.”
Your jaw dropped at his rudeness, and Cha-young apologized on his behalf before saying goodbye to you and chasing after the dickhead.
“What an asshole,” you muttered. “He’s not boyfriend material.”
“Well I think him and Cha-young are perfect for each other. They’re both cranky, lawyers, and–”
You didn’t even bother listening to what Joon-woo was saying as you walked away, waving him over to follow since you both had to head back to work.
“Wait.” Even though he was limping, he managed to catch up to you. You felt him grab your wrist and twirl you around to face him. “What’s going on with you?”
“What do you mean?”
“You’ve been… different lately. Ever since that day I took you out for steak. Did something happen?”
“No,” you feigned innocence.
His expression grew serious when he let out a deep sigh. “I know you were crying in the bathroom.”
“How? You spied on me?”
He shook his head. “No but the lady next to us was heading to the bathroom too… until she heard you crying. She thought you were my girlfriend and told me, and she mentioned you speaking to someone on the phone.”
Why the fuck are people so nosy?
“Did you call Cha-young to pick you up?” He was grabbing your shoulders at this point and you refused to make eye contact with him. “Talk to me.”
“There’s nothing to talk about Joon-woo,” your voice was barely above a whisper.
“______,” he bent down so he could be at eye level with you. “Why won’t you talk to me. Did I do something?”
He looked defeated and it made you feel guilty. Why are you making his life hell when he doesn’t deserve it? It’s not his fault he doesn’t feel the same for you. You preached about being a good friend to him, yet, you’ve been giving him the cold shoulder ever since your conversation about his crush.
You swallowed back the lump on your throat and smiled up at him. “No no, it’s not you. I’m sorry I’ve been a bitch lately–”
“You’re not a bitch.”
“Shh,” you placed your finger on his lips. “Let me finish. I was going through some stuff and my boy trouble didn’t help. Then when you started to talk about the girl you liked and how you probably made more progress with her, I just felt like poop because the guy I like and I have made zero progress. I was just sulking and the whole thing with Cha-young’s dad also happened. I took it out on you and I’m sorry Joon-woo.”
He didn’t say anything as he processed your apology, so instead you hugged him, not even caring if he returned it, but the moment you felt him wrap his arms around you, you felt happy. “Can my bestie forgive me? I’ll treat you to some ice cream.”
His chest rumbled as he laughed. “Let’s get some ice cream.”
And for the first time in a while, you felt happy.
You were once again running around the law firm, attending to errands and requests by the lawyers around you. You have never been bossed around so much in your life before and it was definitely frustrating. Some of these lawyers had ridiculous requests but you knew better than to question them. You were exhausted, probably since you didn’t get a good nights sleep. As you were rounding the corner your eyes fell on a dancing Joon-woo, and it took everything in you to not laugh at his dorkiness.
“Joon-woo?”
He turned around at the sound of your voice, a huge smile forming on his lips. “_______!” He practically ran towards you and gave you zero time to react as he picked you up and spun you around.
“Oh my god! What are you–”
“Guess what?” He looked up at you, completely forgetting how he was holding you.
“What?”
“You’re looking at Lawyer Jang Joon-woo.”
Your eyes widened in surprise and your mouth fell open before you wrapped your arms around his neck. “Oh my god! Really? Congratulations Joon-woo!”
“Thank you!” He smiled as he continued to spin you around. You were really hoping he wouldn’t be able to feel your heart beating like crazy against your chest. He was holding you so close and it almost felt like it was just you two existing in that mere moment.
Until it got ruined.
“What are you two doing?”
You both froze and turned towards the sound of the voice. Standing a couple of feet away was Lawyer Choi and she was looking at you two with confusion. You never interacted with her much, but according to Cha-young’s description of her, she is a pain in the ass. Neither you or Joon-woo dared to move, and he was still holding you up while Ms. Choi appeared to be growing impatient.
“Are you two deaf?”
“N-No,” you stuttered out while wiggling in Joon-woo’s arms. He quickly set you down as he fixed his suit, flashing her a small awkward smile. “We were just celebrating his promotion.”
“What kind of celebration was that? It looked like he just proposed to you and you said yes.”
You immediately turned red at her words, but Joon-woo was quick to step in. “We just got a little too excited.”
“Hm. Don’t do it again.”
That was the last thing she said before walking off. It felt like you could finally breathe and that’s exactly what you did as you let out the biggest exhale of your life. You leaned back against the wall and fanned your face, but Joon-woo stared at you as if you grew two heads.
“What’s wrong?”
“I’ve never been in trouble before,” you whispered. “She’s one of the top dogs.”
“Top dogs?”
“Yes, top dogs,” you repeated. “She’s scary.”
Joon-woo chuckled and ruffled your hair. “You’ll be fine. You want to grab some dinner with me?”
You wanted to say yes so bad, but your evening was swamped with work. “I can’t. I’m working late today.”
He shot you a pout. “That’s not fair.”
“I know,” you groaned and slammed your head against the wall. You already hated the idea of working so late today, but knowing that you’re going to miss out on having dinner with Joon-woo, it makes the situation worse for you. But it still makes you wonder why he’s asking you to eat with him? Didn’t he have a crush on someone? Wouldn’t he ask her instead? You shook those thoughts away, not wanting to stress yourself over it.
All you could was say goodbye to Joon-woo and smile as he shot you an army salute before walking off. Maybe he’ll ask his crush since you declined his offer. Curse your overthinking brain because now you’re definitely left in a bad mood.
You don’t know how it happened but somehow Joon-woo was able to have you as his personal assistant, so you began to follow him everywhere to provide some assistance whenever he needed it. You were glad to finally have a break from your previous position, but that also means you’re spending more time with Joon-woo now. You just don’t know if that’s a bad thing or a good thing. Being with him almost every day of the week made it hard for you to get rid of your feelings, especially when he’s been acting rather close to you.
Joon-woo has been sending mixed signals and you’re not even sure if this girl he spoke about is even in the picture anymore. You did lean towards the idea of him possibly liking you, but you didn’t want to get your hopes up.
Your relationship with Cha-young has also been hard to manage ever since she begged you to leave Wusang and work for her law firm. She went on a whole rant how Wusang is covering up for Babel’s illegal schemes and you shouldn’t support them or get caught up in their mess. She even said you could try to convince Joon-woo to join her law firm as well — even though she was half against it. He was quick to turn down her proposal, which left you in the middle. You told her you’ll think about it and get back to her as soon as possible.
But for now, your mind was focused on assisting and following Joon-woo — along with Mr. Han and Ms. Choi.
Your first time in court was… unexpecting. First Cha-young “fainted”, then the power went out, and lastly, giant hornets were flying around the courtroom and stung the judge. His face was left so swollen he couldn’t even talk, so the trial was postponed until the following week.
“This is better than a kdrama,” you whispered to Mr. Han who sat next to you.
He looked around, trying to make sure no one would hear him as he leaned in and nodded his head. “I agree.”
But his demeanor completely changed on the ride back to Wusang.
“Gosh. In my twenty-five years as a lawyer, I’ve never experienced such chaos in court before,” he chuckled before kicking Joon-woo’s seat. “It’s my first time! Okay?”
“That hurts, boss,” Joon-woo hissed while he winced from pain.
“Does it hurt?”
“Yes.”
“Well, suck it up! Suck it up!” Mr. Han yelled while repeatedly kicking and punching the seat again.
“Sir aren’t you being too rough?” You tapped his arm to grab his attention.
“Too rough? I don’t think so,” he waved you off.
“On top of that, my first trial as a lawyer was a flop,” Ms. Choi stated, unamused.
And yet experiencing my first trial was hilarious. You thought.
“God those dirty bastards. Of all things, how could they think of bringing in those hornets? What should we do?” Mr. Han sarcastically laughed.
“It was so funny,” you blurted out, causing everyone — but the driver — to face you. Your heart hammered in your chest while your eyes widened, and you slowly sunk in your seat as best as you could. “I didn’t mean to say that.”
“You didn’t mean to… oh god,” Mr. Han flicked your forehead which made you wince. “Should we just leave you stranded here?”
“No, sorry sir.”
“Ah! It’s not like you’re of any use anyways,” he shoved your shoulder, making you bump into Ms. Choi. “Gosh this is frustrating. You think it’s funny?!”
“Sir, that’s no way to treat a lady.”
The sudden change in tone on Joon-woo’s voice caught you by surprise. It was low and if you didn’t know any better, it sounded like he was warning Mr. Han. You could see his eyes staring into the backseat from the rear view mirror, and he was glaring at his boss.
“You shut up. Gosh you’re so annoying,” he kicked Joon-woo’s seat once again but this time, he showed no reaction. He was stiff and continued to glare at Mr. Han, and that was something you will never forget.
The car eventually arrived back at Wusang and you followed Joon-woo up to his office. He was eerily quiet. Not cracking any jokes or trying to converse with you about the trial. The moment you two stepped into his office and he closed the door, he turned to face you.
“Are you okay?”
You blinked at him. “Huh?”
He walked up to you to touch the same spot where Mr. Han flicked you. It felt a little warm to the touch and you noticed him clenching his fists. Was he… was he actually mad on your behalf? You quickly grabbed his hand and pushed it away from your skin.
“Oh that, don’t worry I’m okay. It doesn’t hurt.”
“What he said to you…” he shook his head and turned his body, causing you to flinch when he slammed his palms against the wall.
“Joon-woo… are you okay?” You walked up to him and placed your hand on his back. “He was kicking your seat as well. I know you said it hurt.”
“I don’t care what he does to me, I can tolerate it. But you? I don’t want him doing that shit to you. I don’t want him talking down on you as if you don’t mean anything.”
“Well in the eyes of Wusang, I really don’t.”
“But you mean something to me.”
His words left you speechless. Joon-woo turned to face you while his eyes held some form of emotion you couldn’t decipher. He was always care free and even during the times when he showed anger, he still seemed… normal. But the Joon-woo standing in front of you right now was cold and full of hostility — something you’ve never seen before. His hand hesitated to reach up and touch you, and he appeared to be having an internal battle with himself.
“I have to make a phone call. You want to grab something to eat after?”
“Y-Yeah, sure.” You were honestly too shocked to speak and your own stutter surprised you as well. Joon-woo shot you one of his sweet signature smiles before walking out of his office.
What the hell was that?
“And then, his demeanor completely changed. I’m talking like Billy showing himself as The Scream and saying his famous quote ‘we all go a little mad sometime’,” you ranted while mimicking the movie quote.
“You’re comparing Joon-woo to Billy from that Scream movie?” Cha-young gave you an incredulous look.
“Okay it’s not my best analogy but the personality change was there! He got so mad. I have never seen him act like that.”
Ever since that specific encounter with Joon-woo, you had to tell Cha-young about it. Sure you could’ve called or texted but talking about it in person is ten times better, plus you always prefer to ‘gossip’ face to face. You made sure to include every detail that happened, including the ones of your interactions after his comment. Joon-woo was stuck to your hip since then and he even asked if he could call you ‘babydoll’. The pet name caught you off guard and you did not hesitate to ask why, his simple answer was that he thought it was cute and fitting.
You nearly exploded when he said that.
Cha-young rubbed her temples as she appeared to be soothing herself. “______ I didn’t think you were this clueless.”
“Huh?”
“He likes you.”
Rewind and pause. “No way.”
“Yes way,” Mr. Nam answered from behind his computer. “Sounds like he has the hots for you.”
“You were listening to our conversation the whole time?” You asked with a puzzled look.
“Against our own will,” Vincenzo groaned. “Can you talk about this some other time?”
“Why? You guys have important stuff to do?”
“We do. We’re trying to find out who the real chairman of Babel is,” Mr. Nam answered for Vincenzo but was immediately silenced the moment the Korean-Italian lawyer glared at him. “I-I mean… so Joon-woo is Scream?”
You frowned at his words and faced Cha-young. “Wait what? Is Chairman Jang not the real chairman after all?”
Before Cha-young could answer, you felt your chair being dragged away from the table, the sound of its feet scraping against the floor was hell for your ears. Vincenzo pulled you back to the entrance before walking towards Cha-young.
“Hey!” You stood up and marched over to him.
“We can’t trust her,” he spoke with seriousness. “She works for Wusang.”
“As an assistant,” you clarified and bent your head down so you could face him. “Not really an important job.”
“Then why don’t you quit and work here?”
“Uh, because I’m still debating on it.”
“She’s trying to marry her future husband,” Cha-young clarified with a roll of her eyes.
“Love like this only comes once in a lifetime,” you whined and slammed your forehead on the table. “I’m a mess.”
“I agree,” Vincenzo muttered to himself but you heard him loud and clear. You shot up and pushed your body towards him as you began to shove him into a corner, your eyes shooting daggers his way.
“What did you say?” You quirked up an eyebrow and felt victorious when he clearly seemed to be uncomfortable at your proximity. You let out a huff of victory and sat down next to Cha-young but your relaxation was short lived when you felt your phone ringing in your pocket, a smile plastering on your face when you saw Joon-woo’s name pop up.
“Hello?”
“Is it your boyfriend?” Vincenzo’s voice caught you off guard as he bent his head down towards your ear, speaking very close to the microphone. The panic settled in as you stood up and began to hit him, Mr. Nam running to stop you.
“Uh, hello?” Joon-woo sounded incredibly confused.
“Hi!”
“Who was that?”
“Oh just Vincenzo being his goofy self. You know how he always wanted to be a comedian,” you stuck your tongue out in his direction when he pointed a finger at you.
“Vincenzo? You’re with him?”
“Not by choice. I came over to gossip with Cha-young. You know, girl talk.”
“Ah,” he chuckled and cleared his throat. “Well I’m going to pick you up. We’re supposed to meet up with Chairman Jang.”
At the mention of him, you thought back to your earlier conversation with the Jipuragi group, since they believed he was not the real chairman. Thanks to Vincenzo they couldn’t go into too much detail about it — much to your disappointment since you’re naturally a very curious person.
“Alright I’ll be waiting,” you smiled and hung up the phone while letting out a sigh. You did a double take when you noticed three pairs of eyes looking at you, and your face became red in embarrassment. “Don’t say a word!”
“I’m so busy as it is. Why does he want me to brief him all of a sudden? Why does he need me?” Mr. Han was on another one of his rants during the drive, and he kept looking at you and Ms. Choi when he spoke. “All the Babel companies must know how things are going.”
He may be your boss but he can sure be annoying at times.
“Joon-woo you better do a proper job. Don’t you stutter.”
“Sorry? Right, okay okay.”
You wanted to laugh at his obliviousness. He’s so adorable. He looks so innocent whenever he puts on his smile and you absolutely love it. When Mr. Han started to get after him and Joon-woo seemed to find it funny, you quietly let out a small laugh before pulling out your phone.
You: stop aggravating him. i’m suffering back here
Joon-woo ♡: LOL. I feel sorry for you
“Who are you texting?” Mr. Han poked his head by your shoulder and you swiftly flipped your phone over as you turned it off.
“No one!”
“You’re texting your boyfriend aren’t you? Ah, this is going to drive me insane,” he scratched his head and pointed a finger at you. “No texting while we’re with the Chairman, got it?”
“Yes, sir.”
The drive was rather quick before you all made it to Babel’s office building. You all were escorted to one of their conference rooms and you took a seat next to Ms. Choi, but you couldn’t stop staring at Chairman Jang without thinking about Vincenzo’s and Cha-young’s speculation. He’s a phony… apparently. But he didn’t look like one to you, if anything, he fits the CEO look perfectly.
You turned your attention to the front and shot Joon-woo a thumbs up, sending him all your luck for his presentation in front of the Chairman.
“Begin. I said, start,” Mr. Han whispered.
“Alright then, I will begin the briefing,” Joon-woo spoke through the microphone before stepping aside, giving you all a good view of the TV. ‘The Secret of Babel’ ascended on the screen and you choked back a laugh when you realized Joon-woo went for a Star Wars theme as the intro.
“I will now reveal the secret of the Babel Group, WOW!”
You looked towards Ms. Choi and Mr. Han who seemed super confused with the direction the briefing was going, but Mr. Han was quick to let out a laugh before turning to face Chairman Jang.
“We came up with a fun briefing,” he awkwardly laughed but was brushed off by the Chairman.
“Chairman Jang Guk-hwan, the founder of Haemun Group, now known as Babel Group, had two sons.”
You felt your body freeze at his words, giving you confirmation that the theory Vincenzo and Cha-young have could be true. Is the other brother the actual Chairman? And if so, who is it? But right now, you were more confused on where Joon-woo’s presentation is actually heading to. You thought this was going to be a quick briefing about Babel, not the Jang family. Your superiors seemed to share the same confusion as you and even the Chairman looked a bit uncomfortable.
Yet, Joon-woo continued with a smile before skipping to the next slide. “He and his wife, Hwang Suk-jin, had their eldest son. As for his second son, he was birthed by Seo Min-hui, a young secretary,” he paused for a second while walking up to the screen. “Instead of focusing on the company, he cheated.”
Your hand shot up to your mouth at his words and you quickly turned to look at everyone else. Mr. Han let out another one of his discomfort laughs before standing up. “Hey, Joon-woo! What are you saying? Joon-woo! Come back here.”
But Chairman Jang tapped the table to grab his attention, ordering him to sit down which threw you off. He’s allowing this presentation? Mr. Han did as he was told but when you looked at Joon-woo from the corner of your eye, you noticed his expression. It was the same expression he wore that one time when you were insulted in the car after the trial.
“First,” he continued on like nothing, “who is his second son? It’s none other than Chairman Jang Han-seo! What a surprise!”
He aimed a laser at him and Chairman Jang opened his arms up with an awkward smile before resorting back to his emotionless face. You were not liking this. The air felt thick and your palms were beginning to sweat.
“Now, who is the eldest son?” Joon-woo began to click through pictures on the screen. “He was always smart and active. He was always the top student.” He began to walk around while appearing to be passionate about his wording. “He didn’t graduate from Stanford Law School as a top student, but he got good grades. On top of that, God has made him perfect and charismatic.”
The way he’s talking about the eldest son… you didn’t like it. It sounded like bragging. Like he was taunting all of you.
“So who is it? Who?”
Your hands began to shake as you held them up to your face. The moment the screen switched to a ‘Who is the true king of Babel?’ and a picture of Joon-woo sitting on a throne with a crown popped up, you nearly fell out of your chair. He walked to the edge of the table and leaned his hands down against it.
“It’s me. Jang Joon-woo.”
You heard Mr. Han stutter something out but you didn’t even care. Your mind is trying to process the information that was just given to you. You really, really hoped this was just a silly prank from Joon-woo, but doing this in front of his superiors? He wouldn’t risk his career for that.
“The real owner of the Babel Group is Jang Joon-woo!” He screamed out before looking at Chairman Jang. “Han-seo, are you ready?”
Then the brother’s proceeded to start singing and chanting with Mr. Han joining them soon after.
“I fooled you all! Babel Group is actually mine!” Joon-woo chanted as he ran towards your side of the table, started to do the worm, and grab your shoulders as he shook you from side to side. Let me go, is what you wanted to say but you didn’t seem to have a voice right now. Mr. Han was the first to apologize as he bowed down to Joon-woo.
“I’m sorry, sir. Please forgive me for my transgressions.” He looked petrified.
“It’s okay. I had fun,” Joon-woo waved him off with a smile.
So was your friendship with him just pretend as well? Something to add to his Joon-woo persona? You remember Cha-young and Mr. Nam telling you that it appeared Joon-woo likes you, but after this situation, you started to wonder if his feelings are even real. Was everything a fucking lie? He wasn’t even looking at you yet, which is giving you the opportunity to shoot a murderous glare towards his direction. How dare he play with your fucking heart like that.
“Sit down,” he gestured for all of you to take a seat, but you remained standing up, which caused everyone to look in your direction. “______?”
You clenched your jaw but refused to move. The sound of someone kicking the table made you flinch, and your eyes landed on an irritated Mr. Han. “Hey, you! Are you deaf? Gosh you never–”
The sound of a hand slamming against the table made everyone flinch, and it quickly shut Mr. Han up. “Mr. Han,” Joon-woo spoke through gritted teeth. “Is that any way to speak to a lady?”
“S-Speak to a lady? Uh, no no no you’re r-right, my apologies ______,” he stuttered out with fear.
“Sit,” Joon-woo smiled up at you.
“Yes, sir,” your voice was dripping with venom as you slowly sat down. You practically tuned out the whole conversation, not paying attention to what they were discussing. Nothing that they spoke about was of any importance to you, and frankly, you could care less about your career at Wusang now. Joon-woo was a two faced liar who played everyone, including you. He made you feel special and you thought everything he did for you was genuine.
The meeting was rather short and it ended quickly before everyone began to get out of their chairs. You didn’t wait for a response as you left the room, that suffocating feeling completely gone now since it felt like you could finally breathe. You wanted out, especially when the guy you like turns out to possibly be a murderous CEO. Come to think of it, Joon-woo is Billy from the Scream since he just revealed himself to all of you.
Yeah, things were definitely not going your way.

Matching his crazy — (6) Jealousy || [Jang Han-seok x reader]
<part 5>
Tumblr media
You worked until three in the morning, not getting any closer to the end of unread emails as they just kept pouring in. But Han-seok had enough of you not being in bed with him, so he came out of the bedroom to take the laptop away from you, even putting your phone on the coffee table so it wouldn’t wake you up. Despite being tired, you didn’t want to finish it yet, but he was persistent, so he just picked you up and carried you to bed.
In the morning he woke you up by placing kisses on the back of your head and neck, then shifted in bed to have access to your lips. You returned his kiss, your body reacting automatically despite still being half-asleep, but when you turned to face him, he pulled away with a smile then kissed your forehead.
“You were up late, I’ll let you go back to sleep,” he told you as he swept a strand of hair behind your ear. “Just wanted to remind you of our lunch. At noon. I’ll text you the address.” Nodding, you buried your head back into the pillow and wrapped an arm around his body. “Hey, I have to get ready for work,” he said with a short laugh before peeling your arm off of himself.
A disappointed groan left your lips, but you didn’t object. He could tell you would be asleep in a minute or two again, so he got out of bed and went to take a shower. Though he wished he could stay to spend more time with you, he couldn’t do that. As long as he played his role at Wusang, he couldn’t let himself get to work late. For now he had to be the goofy intern, the one who was eager to learn from all of those big-shot lawyers. With Cha-young gone, though, he wondered how things would go from now on.
After taking a cold shower, he stood in the spacious walk-in closet and looked down at his watches, trying to decide which one to wear today, but then his eyes fell on the smaller, more delicate watch on the side. It was yours, the one he had given you as a gift a few years ago, the very same you gave him because you assumed it would end up being a trophy one way or another anyway. But he would never hurt you, and he didn’t think you would ever give him a reason to do that.
The two of you were perfect together, he knew that, and you were the only person in the world he actually cared about. Being away from you after the break-up, after he had been such an idiot to sleep with a woman he barely knew just to mess with the man she was with, was the hardest thing he ever went through.
He missed you every day, he tried to call you, he sent you countless messages, but you ignored him, and at one point you even blocked him on social media. Until this day he had no idea why you had decided to pick up the phone right when he needed you, but he was glad you did. It just meant you were supposed to be together, that fate or whatever was working in the background wanted him to get you back in his life.
Once he drank a cup of coffee and was ready to leave, he went back to the bedroom to give you one last kiss. He couldn’t leave without saying goodbye. In the current situation his attachment to you was a liability, he knew that. But he wasn’t about to give you up, he just had to find a way to get what he wanted with you on his side.
The day went by, and in a blink of an eye Han-seok found himself in the small restaurant he chose to meet you for lunch. He glanced down at his watch and noted that you were late. It wasn’t like you, you were known for being punctual. Letting out a sigh, he pulled out his phone from his pocket and dialed your number, but just as it told him the line was busy, his eyes finally fell on you.
You were gorgeous in the royal blue dress you wore, and he couldn’t help but smile at the sight. He stood up to greet you, happy to let everyone know you were coming to meet him, but you were on the phone and your attention wasn’t fully on him. When you got within earshot, though, you quickly ended the call you were in, then wrapped your arms around his body. He wondered who you were talking to, after all it was late night back in the States.
“Did you sleep well?” he asked you as you both sat down.
Nodding, you reached for the water bottle and poured yourself a glass. “But I hated that you left me there like that.”
“I thought you were half-asleep,” Han-seok noted with a smirk. You gave him a pointed look over your glass. “Anyway,” he spoke up again, changing the subject. “Today we will celebrate. They made me a partner at Wusang.”
You carefully put down the glass and watched him with a curious look on your face. “Why? I thought you didn’t want to be in the spotlight,” you told him with your head sweetly tilted to the side.
He reached out to take your hand, his thumb drawing circles into your skin. He wanted to trust you, he truly did, but until he figured out who you were talking to on the phone when you arrived, he couldn’t think straight. Jealousy was clouding his mind despite his brain constantly reminding him that you were loyal to him.
He explained his plan to you, although he kept certain details to himself. Details like still looking for Cha-young to get information he might use against them. He knew you would overreact and assume he would make the same mistake again. You didn’t seem to care that she wasn’t interested in him, and honestly, he had no idea how he else should have told you there was nothing to worry about.
When he finished, you leaned back in your chair and took a good look at him. “You thought of everything,” you noted.
“As usual,” was all he said in response. For long seconds he watched you in silence, wondering what to say. The thought of you talking to someone else was still bothering him, so he took a deep breath and braced himself for your possible reaction. “By the way, who were you talking to when you got here? It’s pretty late back home, isn’t it?” he asked as casually as he could.
“A friend of mine,” you replied with a shrug, refusing to elaborate.
After all those years together, he knew your body language. The way you looked away after answering meant you weren’t really interested in keeping this conversation going. He wondered if you just avoided the topic or just had enough of him for the time being. He felt offended by the thought of you not wanting to be in his company, but since he wasn’t sure if that was the case, he didn’t say anything.
“I should probably go back to the office,” Han-seok said eventually, even though he didn’t move. He didn’t want to leave you, mostly because he didn’t trust you right now.
But you seemed relaxed, as if you weren’t keeping any secrets from him. “I’ll go back to your place and work a little. Hopefully I won’t have to pull another all-nighter.”
After he nodded with a forced smile, both of you stood up and he pulled you into a hug that was probably unnecessarily tight considering you quickly tried to push him away. So he let go, coming to the conclusion that playing nice was his best option for now.
The next days passed in a kind of tension that could hardly be described. With each passing day he became more sure that you were hiding something from him, but he didn’t know what it was, and he didn’t think you would tell him anytime soon, even if he asked.
So he wasn’t expecting to be welcomed by you throwing a bunch of photos in front of him in the living room, all of them having him and Cha-young on them.
“Care to explain?” you asked with a sweet smile.
There it was, the jealous side of you he hadn’t seen since you arrived. “I need to keep an eye on her and her friend.”
“I thought I made myself clear back when I got here. I had a bad feeling and look at what the private investigator found.”
Han-seok nodded, but he didn’t say anything. He wanted to know what was going on in that gorgeous head of yours. You had said you would hurt Cha-young if he kept playing his game, he remembered, but he wasn’t sure if you would follow through in a country where you had no connections apart from him.
You let out a sigh as you stood up and stood in front of him. “But I’ve been thinking. It would be unfair of me to punish her when you’re the one chasing her,” you said surprisingly calmly with a cold edge to your voice. “Now, I’ve already packed my suitcase, and I guess my taxi is waiting outside. If you’ll excuse me,” you began, but instead of finishing the sentence, you just walked by him and pulled out your suitcase from behind the couch.
“You can’t be serious. You can’t leave me,” he told you sternly, having a hard time keeping his emotions under control. When you let out a carefree laugh and began to head towards the door, he walked up to you and grabbed your arm to yank you back. “You can’t leave me,” he repeated slowly.
He was already frustrated because of being beaten in court on the first day, and now you were making things worse by leaving. There was no way he would let that happen. Not after he finally got you back. He had fucked up once and lost you, he wasn’t about to go through that again.
“Watch me,” you hissed as you pulled your arm away and turned to walk out of the house.
“And where are you going?”
“Home.”
No. No, no, no, you couldn’t go home, not yet. “Remember how you asked me to trust you when you talk to other men?” he asked, making you come to an abrupt halt with this question. “I’m asking you the same thing. I wouldn’t cheat on you again, you need to believe me.”
Letting out a loud, almost theatrical sigh, you turned around to look at him. “I still need space,” you replied. “Just for a couple of days.”
“But only for a few days and you stay in the country,” Han-seok said with a finger pointed at you. For a few seconds you thought about this, then you nodded. “Good. Promise you’ll answer the phone when I call you. I need to know you’re okay, I need to hear your voice.”
“Sure. Goodnight,” you said then left the house.
Once you got into the taxi, you asked the driver to start driving in any direction while you made a call. You tried to work yourself up, bringing out the tears and making your voice sound like you’ve been crying for a while now. By the time the person you called picked up, you were a mess.
“I’m sorry for disturbing you this late, but we got into a fight and I can’t stay with him. I–I could go to a hotel, but I don’t want to be alone after what happened. Would it be too much to ask to let me stay at your place tonight? Just one night, I’ll leave tomorrow,” you begged.
“No, it’s okay, I’ll text you the address,” the voice at the other end of the line assured you.
With a wide smile on your lips, you told the driver the address then put away the phone and looked out the window. It was a good start. Your dear boyfriend will soon learn that two can play this game.

The night was young, just barely five o'clock when a message pinged on your phone.
'I'll be picking you up soon.'
As you glanced over the message, the doorbell rang.
'would that be you outside by any chance?' You sent back, making your way quietly to the front door and glancing out the peephole.
To your surprise, it was definitely not Han-Seok. Instead, you were greeted by the sight of an old friend. She stepped anxiously back and forth as she awaited your answer, in her hands, she gripped a briefcase that buckled under the stress of her fingers.
'no, who's there?'
The next text from Han-Seok flashed across your screen and you decided to ignore the message for a moment, you unlocked the front door and slid it open.
"Ha-Joon?" You questioned, fingers tapping the door frame rhythmically as you awaited a response.
She responded almost instantly, eyes wide with what seemed like urgency and… terror. "(Y/n)," she breathed a sigh before looking past you and into your home, you took the hint.
"Would you like to come in?" You asked, stepping aside to allow her room to enter. "I just bought a new wine, it's a Bordeaux. I hope you don't mind, it's my favorite. Sit down. I'll pour us a glass."
The woman looked around briefly before sliding by you into the foyer of your home, she looked around once more before finding a seat on the love seat by the left hallway. She took a moment to breathe before nodding slowly, "Wine would be nice."
You nodded, before stepping into the adjoined kitchen, it was separated by a small wall- but it gave you just enough privacy to check your phone.
'(y/n)?'
'is everything okay?'
'you're worrying me.'
He had sent a couple more messages upon your sudden absence. You glanced into the living room to make sure Ha-Joon was still where you left her before responding,
'everything's fine, unexpected visitor. that's all.'
You paused for a moment before sending a follow-up, 'you remember Ha-Joon right? she just showed up at my front door. seems pretty shaken up.'
The messages were sent and you made your way over to the wine cabinet, you bent down to grab a bottle. They still had the import labels on the cases, so you made sure to choose one that was newer- saving the oldest ones for more important occasions. The bottle was weighty- nothing you'd ever been able to afford before this. This being Han-Seok, he demanded nothing but the best for you, and for that, you were nothing short of grateful. He was an amazing boyfriend and an even better CEO, some would debate that last part but you didn’t really care.
You grabbed two wine glasses from the hanging rack above the cabinet and on the same trip grabbed the bottle opener, you were adorned in a white gown that had been dropped off a few hours previous for your date with Han-Seok tonight- it made handling the wine a much more dangerous task. The last thing you wanted to do was ruin your dress before he could ever see it on.
As you popped the cork from the bottle, you heard your phone buzz on the counter. You decided to ignore it for the moment being as you were too preoccupied with the task at hand. You filled both glasses with the musky red liquid before making your way back into the living area.
"Sorry about that, I didn't mean to take so long." you apologized, handing Ha-Joon the glass before taking a seat on the sofa directly adjacent to the love seat.
"Don't apologize, I'm the one intruding. You look lovely, are you going out with someone?" She asked timidly, taking a long swig of the alcohol. She was disheveled, hair was falling haphazardly from her ponytail and her clothes were wrinkled and had spots of stains near the cuffs of her blouse.
A smile graced your lips as you nodded, "Yeah, in about an hour I think; but don't worry about the intrusion- I'm more than happy to host a friend." You watched as she finished off the glass before pushing a little deeper. "Joon, why are you here? Are you in some kind of trouble?"
It was beyond obvious how things looked here, from an external view, she looked crazy. It was late on a Sunday and she just showed up unannounced after not seeing each other for more than three years. It felt suspicious.
"I'm.. in a lot of trouble right now. I remembered you had connections to Wusang and I needed to see you immediately. I need a lawyer, fast." She spoke in a hushed tone as if someone else was within earshot- whatever was bothering her seemed big.
You did have connections to Wusang, to probably some of the best lawyers in Korea. Usually, the law firm only handled civil rights and big corporation cases- what could a reporter need with that kind of protection? You cocked an eyebrow, moving a hand to smooth out the waves in your hair. "What's going on? What aren't you telling me?" You probed, taking a sip of wine- leaving a red lipstick stain on the glass.
"Can I trust you to not tell anyone what I'm about to tell you?" The woman was stern, eyes hardened. "This information is dangerous."
An instant nod was what she was met with, you even playfully held out your pinky. The danger wasn't something you were scared of. Not while you had a psychopath on speed dial with an army of the best guards in Korea. "Your information is safe with me, I swear."
The briefcase was slammed on the table as she opened it, making the vase of lilies jump at the force. You steadied the vase before focusing on the labels of all of the files that had been compiled- within each label there were corresponding bags filled with tapes and hard drives. As you glanced over the names- you saw something familiar, 'Jang Han-Seok childhood'
"What is all of this? And what does this have to do with Wusang?" You asked, thumbing through a file you'd just picked up.
"It's evidence." She whispered, a hand moving to lay over your own. "Against Babel group and the CEO.. Jang Han-Seok."
Your stomach dropped and as you flipped the file open- you realized just what you were looking at. Pages and pages of incriminating data, which seemed to come directly from babel as the pages sported the familiar logo. This was more than enough evidence to indict Han-Seok of tax fraud, union harassment, murder, and so so much more. The actions of the Babel group were the furthest thing from clean but that didn't make them all that bad, the company had its good and its bad. The same went for Han-Seok. He has his moments but he's not a bad guy.
"Who else has seen this?" You questioned, keeping your tone even as you tried to formulate a plan to dispose of her. Friendship meant nothing at this moment, the safety of Han-Seok and Babel's legacy is what mattered now.
Her hands ran through her dark strands before she answered, "Just me and you, so far. I want to take it to the law though, and with the power that monster holds- I'm scared of what might happen if I'm not protected."
Monster..
"Do you want some more wine? We can talk this over more and then get you in communication with an attorney as soon as possible." You offered, hand gliding across the table to collect the empty glass.
"Thank you, I'd really like that."
A forced smile fluttered across your lips as you stood to move into the kitchen. As you ducked behind the wall separating the room, you opened your phone to your messages with Han-Seok.
'I remember her very well.' was his reply.
'get here soon, dinner might have to wait.’ Your reply was simple, yet effective. As soon as the message was delivered, his reply was almost instant.
'I'll be there in thirty, babydoll.'
You closed out your phone and scanned the kitchen before you decided on the weapon of choice. A simple kitchen knife was the best option, albeit messy. A small sigh left your lips as you looked down at the beautiful dress that Han-Seok had picked out for you just this morning, it was white silk and as much as you hated to ruin it- you knew he wouldn't mind.
"Wine seems to be an issue at the moment, it seems these bottles hate me. Would you mind helping me out really quickly?" You called out, moving the knife to the island situated in the middle of the kitchen.
Footsteps could be heard, and each one solidified your plan. She was so close, if only she knew she was going to die- how different things would be right now.
She appeared around the corner and took notice of your phone on the counter near the wine bottle, "I struggle with these all the time, but I think I've mastered the art of manipulating the bottles." She let out a relaxed laugh, turning her back to you before beginning to fumble with the new bottle you had retrieved from the cabinet.
"So, personally, how do you feel about Jang Han-Seok?" You tested, hand gripping the handle of the knife through the sheath of cloth it was concealed in. Not to make it personal, but you were genuinely curious how someone like her saw him. To you, he was a gentleman. Polite, kind, romantic, paced, protective, and incredibly smart. He knew how to make the world work for him, not the other way around.
"I think what any sane person would think, he's insane. Corrupt, cruel, dangerous. If I was the law, I wouldn't let a man like that roam the streets free. I know you probably don't know, but he murdered some boys he went to school with, and he's actually diagnosed as a psychopath. He's not all there mentally. He needs to be locked in a psych ward or something." She ranted on and on, every word full of slander and hatred.
It made you sick. Hearing someone be so disrespectful. The more you thought about it- the more justified this killing felt. She's a risk, yes. More than that, she's a bitch.
"-I bet he's a pervert too,"
"Yeah, you think so?" You replied, hand clenching the base of the knife.
"Of course. Men like that are always creepy-"
You held back the contempt that flooded your veins, the last thing you needed to do was alert her to her newfound fate. The knife shook slightly within your grip, reminding you of the goal here.
Kill her.
"-and with Jang Han-Seok's history of violence, I can only imagine his track record with women isn't much better. Wouldn't that be something? Getting him on charges of rape or prostitution?" She sounded so proud of herself, even while saying something so vile- it was lighthearted, funny even.
KILL HER.
Your brain screamed at you with every crude remark but you knew you couldn't be too hasty. Hastiness leads to sloppy work and a chance of escape. You couldn't let her leave this house, not alive at least.
"So you must know of his internship at Wusang? Wouldn't that be a dangerous risk to take, what if he still has contacts there as well? Like, a rat?" The question was aimed at the reputability of Wusang, did she really know as much as she thought she did?
The girl paused, her entire body halting in response to the question. "Wait." She began, placing both hands on the counter. "I didn't tell you that."
In hindsight, it might have been a bit of a mistake on your part but so be it.
"Oops."
You kicked into action, hand moving to ravel in her hair. The other pressed the cold steel into her neck with just enough pressure to draw blood. Between the two, she stood no chance.
"Don't take this personally, but I will not let you ruin our lives." You grunted as she attempted to wriggle away, in turn, you dug the tip into just barely into her windpipe. "Stop fighting, die with some dignity."
"Why? P-please, you don't have to do this." Tears had begun to run down her face, it almost made you feel bad- she was so young, yet so stupid.
You drug her head back enough to make eye contact, "Where did you get all of this?" You pressed, fingers digging into her scalp. "And do you have copies?"
Ha-Joon's face crumpled, eyes filling with betrayal. "You're with him, aren't you?" She looked disgusted, with herself or you- you’d never know. "Whatever he promised you isn't worth it. He's fucking crazy, wake up (y/n)!" Pleading wouldn't save her now.
"I'm not just doing this for him, sweetheart. It's for our future. I'm protecting it from people like you. Now answer my goddamn questions." The knife had now created a line of blood from the struggling she'd been doing, it sent blood dripping down her neck.
Her voice shook, but her words couldn't be more clear. "Why should I? You're going to kill me either way, it doesn't do me any good."
Fair enough.
You smiled, letting a laugh slip. She couldn’t just cooperate, she had to push. Oh well, your conscious was already filthy. "Why? Well, if I remember correctly- you have a son at home. Sung-ho, isn't that his name?" The air became stale, the silence broken by nothing but ragged breaths. "It would be a shame if something happened to that cutie, wouldn't it?"
"You're a fucking monster, leave him out of this! He's just a kid. Just kill me, me- not him. He's innocent." She begged, struggling against your grip. "I'll tell you what you want to know, just promise me he won't be harmed."
You pretended to contemplate her bargain, It's exactly what you wanted but the fear factor was just too good to pass up. As fucked as it was, you were no better than Han-Seok. He found you when you were caught in a bad situation, he saved you. He then took you in and taught you everything he knew. Politics, business, betrayal, and coercement. "Deal."
"Thank god," She breathed, swallowing hard as she averted her gaze from your own. "I got all of the evidence from the chairman's laptop. I snuck in and stole it, all of it."
How the fuck? She must have had some kind of help, how else could she bypass his security? His office was guarded 24/7 due to the nature of sensitive materials it contained. Not to mention the encryptions on his personal laptop, all of that made her story either made-up or deeper than she tried to lead you to believe. A problem for later.
"And the copies? Do any exist? Digitally or physically." You made sure to specify, most people will try to find a loophole in just about anything. None of this evidence could survive tonight, they seemed to share that fate.
Ha-Joon hesitated before reluctantly nodding, "I have all of the data backed up on a hard drive, it's locked up in my office. I have the keys to the building, take them- they're in my back pocket."
You could just take them off her corpse, not a problem on your end.
"This has been fun but I really don't want to have to kill you, Joon." Your tone softened, "We've been friends for years and I care for you. I want to let you go."
Her breath quickened, "Really? You can let me go, (y/n). I won't tell anyone about this and I'll get rid of the hard drive myself. After that, I'll disappear. You'll never have to worry about me again." She was always good on her word, you could trust her on this.
"Okay, fine." You nodded, releasing your grip little by little. The knife lifted off her throat, edge coated in her blood.
She closed her eyes in relief, a sigh falling from her lips. "Thank you-"
Her head was jerked back and the knife serrated her neck before she had enough time to react. Gasps of shock and pain left her mouth as she clasped her hand over her throat, It was spraying blood in all directions as she began to crumble to the floor.
"I didn't really mean all that if you couldn't tell. You're a liability to me, you were never going to leave alive. From the beginning, ever since you opened your mouth about all of this, your fate had been sealed." You began, bending down with her as she fell onto the hardwood. "You have to understand, Joon. He's everything to me, you're just collateral damage."
Her body finally completely gave out and she stopped trying to get away. Her mouth opened and closed, over and over again before she let her hand fall from the gaping hole in her neck. It sprayed thick, hot blood all over you as she gargled on the blood now filling her lungs.
You glanced over towards the knife you had dropped after the initial cut, it couldn't hurt to just keep going- could it? Your fingers grasped the knife in your hand and a rush of adrenaline filled your veins, it felt too good to stop now.
Your body moved on instinct, bringing the knife down into her chest with a swift movement. A sickly crack rang out, signifying her chest plate had more than likely cracked at the force. It was music to your ears. You dislodged the knife before plunging it into her stomach, twisting it in a crude attempt to hurt her. As if her body could regulate pain at this point.
Over and over and over again. The knife sliced with deadly precision as you mutilated her corpse. Anyone could tell this was beyond excessive, but god it was so hard to stop. Her blood was so warm and her skin so delicate.
Before you knew it, she was unrecognizable.
You let the knife fall to the floor, landing with a dramatic 'thunk'. Your dress had been absolutely ruined in the chaos. Blood stains were splattered across it haphazardly, the silk taking on a rusty red color. Han-Seok wouldn't mind, you were sure of that. Your face was adorned in a spray of blood droplets, but you couldn't be bothered to mess with it.
The wine glass stood half-filled on the counter where she once stood. You took it into your hand and hopped up on the center island, letting your feet dangle. You simply watched as the lake of blood expanded, making a home on the white tile floor.
An art form you could appreciate.
The front door made a clicking noise as it unlocked, signaling to you that Han-Seok had made his arrival to the party. Perfect timing, as always.
"Babydoll?" He called out, footsteps closing in as he made his way from the hallway. He could tell something was up, the house was eerily quiet for this time of night. You usually had music playing, especially when getting ready to go out.
"In here, love." Your voice rang out from the kitchen, the nickname making his lips twitch into a smile momentarily. At least this was proof that you were okay, that was his main worry on his way here.
When he got your text, he had been at the office, setting up a few last-minute transactions before dinner. To say the least, he left the building in record time.
The kitchen light glared in on the dim living area, and as he got closer he could smell the metallic giveaway for blood. His brow knitted together as he entered the room, stopping mid-step to take in the mess that made up the kitchen floor. Blood was everywhere. On the counters, the floors, the cabinets, it even somehow sprayed the ceiling. His eyes then landed on the body or the mangled mess that used to one.
"This is your friend? Could've fooled me." He smirked, stripping off his suit jacket at the door before rolling up his sleeves. He stepped into the kitchen, shoes becoming caked with blood as he moved closer.
You shrugged, finishing off the glass of wine. "She came in as my friend and now she's going to be leaving in a duffle bag. Funny how things like this happen, huh?" Your words were lighthearted, unbothered by the act you'd committed tonight.
He chuckled, "Speaking of things happening, what led to this?" His tone was curious, he couldn't care less if this was just a casual murder. Han-Seok moved to stand between your legs at the island, hands on either side of your hips.
"She was going to ruin you. A huge briefcase of evidence that would take you and the Babel group down. She was a liability." You stated simply, looking up at him. He was much taller than you were and even on the island he still wasn't eye level. "I took care of her and I got the keys to get the backed up data in her office. We can destroy it all before anyone even knows it exists."
Han-Seok smiled, moving a hand to caress your cheek- smearing some of the blood that had yet to dry. "That's my girl," He hummed, hand trailing to the nape of your neck. His fingers intertwined in your hair before gently pulling your head back, forcing you to look up at him more. "You've made me so proud."
His lips crashed down onto yours with bruising force, fingers holding your hair tight in his fist. The blood on your face smudged onto him, leaving him with lips tinted a deep red when he pulled away.
Dinner was canceled.

The Queen’s Love
Jang Wonyoung x F! Reader
Warnings: none all fluff
Word Count: 7.2k
A/n: This was the sweetest story I’ve written 🥺 it’s sickening 🥹
╔═══*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*═══╗
In the heart of the kingdom of Amorella, Jang Wonyoung's presence cast a chilling aura. Her rule was marked by an unwavering demand for obedience and an unforgiving stance toward mistakes. Her icy stare could freeze even the most seasoned courtiers, a stark warning of her expectations.
Workers toiled under the weight of her exacting standards, knowing all too well the consequences of a misstep. For Jang Wonyoung, even the smallest error warranted severe punishment. Locked doors and concealed chambers whispered tales of those who fell afoul of her wrath, their echoing screams a haunting reminder of her unforgiving nature.
Her courtiers and subjects dared not cross her path, fearing the repercussions of inviting her displeasure. The atmosphere within the kingdom grew tense and suffocating, a palpable air of fear and trepidation gripping every corner.
Despite the cruelty she exhibited, there were whispers in the shadows. Whispers of a ruler burdened by the weight of expectations, haunted by the echoes of her own past. Some spoke of fleeting moments when Wonyoung's facade wavered, glimpses of vulnerability that hinted at a soul conflicted by the demands of power and the desire for something more.
Yet, these whispers remained veiled in the darkness, overshadowed by the imposing figure she presented to the kingdom—a figure that inspired fear rather than empathy.
Before Jang Wonyoung ascended the throne, she was not always the chilling figure she became known as. Her upbringing within the confines of the royal palace was fraught with the controlling and oppressive hand of her father, King Hanseok.
As a child, Wonyoung yearned for her father's affection and approval, yet she was met with only harsh criticism and unattainable expectations. King Hanseok's authoritarian rule extended beyond the kingdom's borders and into their familial domain, casting a shadow of fear and submission over his household.
He groomed Wonyoung to inherit his throne, instilling in her the belief that rulership meant wielding power without mercy. Her father's relentless demands and punishments for even the slightest imperfection sculpted her perception of authority and control.
Each reprimand, each harsh word, and each cruel punishment etched deeper into her psyche, shaping her into a reflection of her father's unyielding rule. She was taught that strength meant suppressing emotions, that kindness was a weakness, and that ruling meant ruling with an iron fist.
Her transformation from a hopeful, spirited child to a ruler shrouded in coldness and severity was a result of the toxic environment she grew up in—a reality that she struggled to reconcile as she ascended to the throne herself.
The dichotomy between Jang Wonyoung's inner desires and the imprint of her father's influence weighed heavily upon her. Despite her fervent wish to diverge from her father's oppressive ways, his control over her upbringing left an indelible mark on her personality and ruling style.
As she assumed the throne, Wonyoung grappled with an internal struggle—a battle between the ruler she felt compelled to be and the person she yearned to become. She despised the coldness she wielded, knowing deep within that it wasn't the leader she aspired to be. However, the echoes of her father's voice, the haunting memories of his stern teachings, seemed inescapable.
Her attempts at kindness were often overshadowed by the fear instilled in her from her upbringing. The constant conflict between her innate compassion and the molded ruthlessness tore at the core of her being. She found herself torn between breaking free from her father's influence and adhering to the only ruling style she had ever known.
The weight of her father's expectations, coupled with her fear of repeating his mistakes, further ensnared her within the rigid confines of her rule. It was an internal battle that seemed insurmountable, leaving her isolated in her struggle for self-redemption.
𓈒⠀𓂃⠀⠀˖⠀𓇬⠀˖⠀⠀𓂃⠀𓈒
In the heart of the kingdom, where the legacy of her father's stringent rule lingered, Jang Wonyoung held court with a chilling authority. Her reputation as a relentless and unforgiving ruler preceded her, shrouding her in an aura of intimidation.
Amidst the stifling atmosphere, a commoner known as "Y/n" crossed paths with the formidable queen. Their encounter was a collision of two worlds—one of power and one of humility. Y/n, cautious yet compassionate, possessed an understanding that seemed to pierce through Wonyoung's icy facade.
Their initial interactions were veiled with caution, yet a silent understanding began to weave its way between them. Y/n's gaze, unclouded by the tales of Wonyoung's ruthless nature, saw beyond the queen's daunting exterior, recognizing the burden she carried—a weight shaped by a lifetime of trying to meet her father's insurmountable expectations.
In the moments shared, Wonyoung sensed a glimmer of something she had long suppressed—an acceptance devoid of judgment. Y/n's presence served as an anchor—a beacon of light in the darkness of her existence.
Their connection, initially fragile, burgeoned into a sanctuary for Wonyoung—a place where she felt a sense of liberation from the stifling grip of her past. With Y/n, she dared to dismantle the barriers she had erected, slowly peeling away the layers of control and harshness that defined her rule.
In Y/n's company, Wonyoung glimpsed the possibility of a different narrative—a chance to rewrite the tale of her reign, to redefine herself not as a tyrant, but as a ruler guided by empathy and compassion.
Their relationship blossomed beyond the confines of titles and expectations, evolving into a haven of mutual understanding and respect. Through Y/n's unwavering acceptance, Wonyoung found the courage to challenge her ingrained beliefs and embrace the warmth she had long kept buried.
The union of Y/n and Wonyoung marked a transformative chapter in the kingdom of Amorella. Their love story became the cornerstone of a new era—one defined by compassion, understanding, and unity.

In a room enveloped by tense silence, Wonyoung's voice pierced the air, cutting through the caregiver's attempts to explain the incident involving Sarang's injury.
"You were trained to watch my daughter while my wife and I performed our royal duties, and she got injured under your care," Wonyoung's voice was cold, her eyes flashing with a mix of anger and disappointment.
The caregiver's explanations were swiftly interrupted by the Queen's sharp rebuttals, rendering each sentence futile.
"Silence!" Her command echoed, freezing everyone in the room, the atmosphere growing heavy with the weight of her displeasure. Not a single soul dared to utter a word.
With unwavering authority, Wonyoung's decree rang out. "Guards, escort this woman out of my castle and ensure she never sets foot here again," she ordered firmly, her tone leaving no room for negotiation.
The main guard wasted no time, swiftly adhering to the Queen's commands, despite the caregiver's tearful protests. As the woman was escorted out, Wonyoung, feeling the tension grip her, sank back into her seat, rubbing her temples in frustration.
The past version of herself would have taken harsher actions, but she now understood the delicate balance between authority and compassion. She reflected on the person she had become, a ruler who wielded her power with a sense of fairness and restraint. Though her anger simmered, she chose a measured response, a testament to her growth and evolution as a leader.
The heavy tension in the room dissolved into the sweet melody of laughter when Y/n and Sarang's joyful giggles echoed through the chamber. Unaware of the earlier confrontation, Y/n carried Sarang in her arms, gliding toward Wonyoung with an innocent ease.
"Mommy!" Sarang squealed with delight, wriggling free from Y/n's arms and darting towards Wonyoung, leaping into her awaiting embrace.
Wonyoung's stern countenance melted away at the sight of her daughter. "My baby, how's your boo-boo?" she inquired, feigning a pout, a rare sight that surprised her guards, who had never witnessed their queen in such a tender moment.
Sarang, oblivious to the earlier incident, beamed up at Wonyoung. "It's okay! Mama made me all better. She said her kisses are magic," she giggled, her eyes sparkling with innocence.
"Your mama's kisses are magic," Wonyoung affirmed with a smile, her gaze then shifting to Y/n, a playful wink exchanged between them. In that precious moment, surrounded by the love of her family, Wonyoung's walls came down, revealing the softer side of the queen—the side that only emerged in the presence of those she cherished the most.
Wonyoung's heart skipped a beat, her eyes meeting Y/n's with a hint of unease as Sarang played with her hair, absorbed in her own little world.
"It was just a scratch, Wony, nothing too bad. I hope you didn't do anything too harsh to the caregiver," Y/n said, raising an eyebrow, her concern evident.
Wonyoung felt a pang of guilt as she hesitantly confessed, "I... I kicked her out and forbade her from coming back." She winced, apprehensive about Y/n's response.
The sternness in Y/n's voice caught Wonyoung off guard. "Why would you forbid her from coming back? Kicking her out is fine, but everyone is welcomed here," Y/n stated firmly, her tone leaving no room for ambiguity.
Wonyoung swallowed hard, realizing her mistake. She knew Y/n's compassion extended beyond their own family, encompassing everyone within the kingdom. The weight of her decision weighed heavily on her, and she realized she had acted in haste without considering the broader implications.
With a sigh, Wonyoung nodded, acknowledging her misstep. "You're right, love. I'll rectify the situation," she promised, determined to make amends for her actions and uphold Y/n's principle of inclusivity and compassion within their kingdom.
As Sarang eagerly clasped onto Y/n's hand, their little expedition towards the kitchen began. Wonyoung, still seated, couldn't help but express her desire for a treat.
"Bring me something?" Wonyoung called out with a hopeful tone laced in her words.
"No, get it yourself," Y/n retorted in a playful manner, sticking her tongue out teasingly as they rounded the corner, heading toward the kitchen.
Wonyoung let out an exaggerated huff, feigning annoyance, yet a hint of amusement danced in her eyes. She couldn't resist trailing behind them, finally rising from her seat and following after her family. After all, the banter and playful teasing were all part of the affectionate dynamic they shared, and the prospect of joining them in the kitchen was too tempting to resist.
𓈒⠀𓂃⠀⠀˖⠀𓇬⠀˖⠀⠀𓂃⠀𓈒
The passage of time had woven a tapestry of love and growth in their lives. Sarang, their beloved daughter, had blossomed into a mature individual. She yearned for a love as enduring as the one shared between her parents, and Y/n assured her that her destined time would arrive.
Meanwhile, Wonyoung, fiercely protective of her daughter, attempted to deter any potential suitors. Yet, fate intervened, and Sarang found her forever—her soulmate, someone who seamlessly fit into the fabric of their family. Their love story became an extension of Y/n and Wonyoung's, a testament to the enduring power of love that transcended generations.
As years passed, Sarang had children of her own—a little boy and a girl. Y/n and Wonyoung embraced their roles as doting grandparents, indulging their grandchildren with affection and fulfilling their every wish.
Yet, time was a relentless force, aging Y/n and Wonyoung gradually. Their love, however, remained unwavering, weathering the trials of time. Eventually, as their twilight years approached, they found solace in each other's presence, their love standing the test of time.
In the twilight of their lives, they held hands, their fingers entwined in an unspoken promise that transcended words. Together, they took their last breath, their love enduring beyond the boundaries of mortality, leaving behind a legacy of profound love and an unwavering bond that would forever linger in the hearts of their family.
The End.💕

Hong Woojin (Bloodhounds) Headcanons | Him as a Boyfriend
Pairing: Hong Woojin x Fem!Reader
Requested by anons: (1) Hi! May I please request jealousy and confession headcanons for Kim Geonwoo and Hong Woojin for a fem reader? and (2) Hey! Can you please write general relationship and nsfw headcanons for Hong Woojin and Kim Geonwoo for a fem!reader?
Genre: angst, fluff, NSFW
A/n: once again, i combined these requests since they were pretty similar and i did this for the jang hanseo and jang hanseok headcanons that went up last week. like the previous headcanons of this nature, please refer to this A-Z as it is mentioned quite a bit. happy reading!
Tunes: 3am and i'm still awake | a taylor swift playlist. by vante
Tumblr media
Dating
Back at it again with my A-Z references
Woojin honestly tries to show why he’s the best man for you with the dates
He listens to everything you say you like and don’t like just to plan the perfect dates
He wants you to know and realize that he hears you
That he will always hear you no matter what
He also inadvertently takes the chance to show off just how domestic he is when he cooks
Even though that wasn’t his initial intention when he asked if a dinner date at his house would be fine rather than going out to a restaurant
He may a flashy boxer, but he does prefer the more domestically intimate moment that come with dating you
He can be a rough and stiff when you first start dating but that’s mainly because he doesn’t really know how to not be a huge flirt
Because he doesn’t want to be a huge flirt
He wants to be serious and come across as genuine
If I had to pick a way to describe this relationship, I think I would go with these next words
You fell first
But he fell harder
SO much harder
Confession
You can’t convince me this man isn’t afraid of you rejecting him
Which is why he’s in the same boat as Geonwoo when he confesses to you
I don’t know where all the confidence and rizz (yep, i said that) goes
But it is nowhere to be seen
Nowhere in the tristate area
He restarts time and time again trying a different sentence starter each time
Probably has flowers that he’s wringing to death from the nervous
The poor things are getting worse
Eventually asks for a minute as he take a deep breath to compose himself
Letting out a quick breath and jumping in place
Petals falling off the flowers as he does so
“Okay!”
And he says it just like that
No fluff or space filling word
Just goes for it
And the smile on your face as you giggle is the answer he needs as you take his hand
Jealousy
Jealous, jealous, jealous man
Frfr
Literally glaring at other people who approach with clear intentions of not simply wanting to complement you or catch up
Doberman boyfriend?
German shepherd boyfriend?
One of those two
He’s glued to your side the entire time
Silent as a wolf stalking its prey
He’ll pull you to the side eventually in a more private area of wherever you’re at and talk it out
He doesn’t want you to be uncomfortable about it
But he also want to make sure his feelings are valid and he’s not crazy
Communication is key here though
Especially since most the time with some guys you immediately just motion to him and introduce him as your boyfriend
Stressing every syllable and letter in the title
Enough to get the message across on your own
NSFW
Dom!
Still a pretty soft dom though in my head at least
He’s powerful and more often than not you will be limping and have some bruises from his tight hold on you
Sorry!
He can get pretty rough too
He wants to show off
Give it to you like no one else
Make it magical everytime
When you fuck,
You FUCK
Wouldn’t be surprised if he slipped in some dirty words
Def a doggy man
Perfect view of your ass and how it jiggles as his hips come into contact with it
Loves when you suck him off too
Might be one to tease you in public too and look all innocent/as if he’s not doing anything
You’ve also done it in the locker rooms of the gym when it’s empty
Or the dressing room after a match
Okay
I done now

Ele gargalhou. Totalmente fora do personagem, ele gargalhou.

han-seok x gn!reader | shortfic.
genre: established relationship, comfort
warnings: mentions of killing, blood and anxiety. this takes place after the *literally kills someone then giggles and shrugs and says “surprise!” with a smile* scene if u were wondering
synopsis: hanseok isn’t just a merciless killer. sometimes. and the blood he carried on his hand never bothered you. not when he always took the time to wash it off properly before running his fingers on your face.
author’s note: i’ll write proper fics for him later rn i just wanted to write a comfort fic this is self indulgent bcos i’m feeling anxioussss also i couldnt find a gif of him saying his iconic “surprise” OTL cries
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“You have blood on your cheek.” you said.
Hanseok had just come home after spending a while outside in the middle of the night. He only told you it had something to do with Hanseo and people never listening to what he said, which in itself, wasn’t much to go by. Hanseok could very well spend a day complaining about either of the two, so well.
He swiped his thumb over his cheek and looked at it, before furrowing his eyebrows and rubbing the back of his hand there again. This time a little smudge of blood was visible on his skin. He chuckled quietly and looked up at you. “Ah. Seems like it.”
You weren’t at all phased by the blood. It wasn’t really something that surprised you, anymore. And you knew what blood looked like, just as anyone else. Seeing it on his face precisely didn’t shake you in the slightest. It was almost normal. You sighed and brought your knees closer to your chest. “Did you go and kill someone, or something?”
“Something like that.” he exhaled in what seemed like satisfaction as he took off his jacket. He started walking towards the bathroom but stopped at the door to look at you over his shoulder. “What’s up with you?”
You shrugged. He pouted a bit but walked into the bathroom. You had no doubt he was trying to wash off the blood from his face and hands, and would probably come out with a different shirt at least. You sighed and let your head fall sideways onto the couch you were sitting on.You were tired. A bit sleepy. There was no reason for you to be on the couch rather than on the bed, really. You just didn’t think of moving. And didn’t really have the energy to, either.
Hanseok walked back into the room without a drop of blood on his skin and with a new hoodie. Just as you thought. He walked over to where you sat and plopped down next to you with a sigh. “What a very slightly eventful day. How about yours? You look exhausted.”
“Don’t know. I’m just tired.”
Hanseok hummed and pursed his lips, looking away before smiling and turning towards you. He opened his arms and you gave him a questioning look. He waved his hands towards himself, clearly beckoning you over. “Come here.”
You shook your head no. You didn’t feel like moving. Hanseok sighed and wrapped his arms around you, easily pulling you onto his lap and into his hold. You didn’t shake him off. Really, you didn’t mind it— You just didn’t have the energy to move. And it felt better now that he was holding you, too.
Hanseok gently caressed the side of your head, fingers eventually grazing your cheek. He smiled to himself at the sight of you, then looked you in the eye. “Don’t worry.”
“Easier said than done.”
He smiled. “As usual.” he said, “But still. I’m here. It’s okay.”
You sighed and let your head fall onto his shoulders, staring into nothing in particular as you practically dozed off. The atmosphere was much more comfortable with Hanseok around. Maybe it was ironic, because you knew he’d just come back from literally killing someone. But, well. It was Jang Hanseok. To you, this was just part of him, and you were used to it by now. It didn’t concern you much, and he knew that too.
So with this trust in him, you eventually fell asleep in his arms, comforted by the warmth and firm hold he had on you.

Requested by anonymous: hi can i request a jang hanseok x reader where the reader is hanseoks only soft spot and treats you super well and stuff and the other babel/wussng employees were shocked when he just let you into his work space when he was super stressed and angry and didn’t yell at you or anything. sorry if this doesn’t make any sense 😭 i’m such a sucker for the villains of k dramas for some reason
Pairing: Jang Han-Seok x reader
Word Count: 0.6k words
Warnings: anger issues, cursing, suggestive ending
Tumblr media
"Please, noona." Han-Seo was pleading at this point, begging you to come to Babel as his brother was destroying his office. You knew well enough that Han-Seo took pride in how neat his office was, so Han-Seok destroying it was probably really discouraging to the younger. However, you were working at the moment and your boss was already annoyed at you. Then again, Han-Seok would probably hurt himself so it would be better to go now before that happened.
With that, you decided to pack up and go. The way there was only a couple of minutes and the elevator ride felt like an eternity. When the doors opened, however, you almost wanted to leave again. The screams from Han-Seok were clear, even through the glass doors, and you could see that many people were uncomfortable. So you marched inside, being greeted by some employees while many wondered what you were thinking as you walked to the office. Outside stood 3 people, one being Han-Seo and you could recognize the other two as workers that had visited your home once or twice before. You nodded at Han-Seo before passing him and moving to open the door.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you. Just give him a couple of more minutes to calm down." The woman, you believed she was named Myung-Hee, spoke and you turned your head before rolling your eyes as you opened the door. As on instinct, you moved your head to the side and something flew past your head and into the hallway.
"I know how to handle him, thanks." You sneered back before moving again, walking into the office and to Han-Seok. The man hadn't notice you yet, but soon did as you laid a hand on his shoulder. His arm was thrown back, but he immediatley stopped once he noticed that it was you. You didn't bother to wait for any kind of response and instead, you stepped closer and hugged him.
"What did we say about destroying Han-Seo's office?" You asked, but the man didn't answer and instead just sat down in his chair. He pulled you along until you sat on his lap, arms still tightly wrapped around your form. You lifted yourself slightly, straddling his thighs before softly kissing his forehead. He calmed down signifyingly, sighing against your shoulder and you could feel stares from the people in the doorway. Han-Seo was the only one that wasn't surprised, he knew well enough that you had his older brother wrapped around your finger.
"Sir?" Myung-Hee was the first to break the silence, stepping in the office to report her findings about Vincenzo. Han-Seok looked up from your shoulder, but his eyes were dull of emotion to the woman.
"Get out." He ordered, his voice stern as if he was scolding a toddler, and Myung-Hee wanted to protest. However, when she saw his hand clenching the fabric of your shirt, she decided that it could wait and left along with the other two. The door was closed behind them and the room grew quiet again.
"Now, darling~" Han-Seok spoke, switching to his English nickname for you and you turned your head to him before yelping as he pulled you into a rough kiss. He was quick to take the lead, lifting you from his lap while doing so. The surface of the desk was painful to be dropped on, but Han-Seok didn't mind the groan of pain and continued. He only stopped when it was clear that neither of you could breath anymore, but the smirk on his face said enough for you.
"What did I say about interrupting me at work?"

Tumblr media
The sun was slowly settling down while you were making your way to the cafe at the corner of the street.
November was one of your least favourite months because of the short days and humid, unpleasant weather. It demotivated you to wake up while it was still dark outside and leaving work when the sun was already settling down.
Working at one of the best law firms never made it easy to leave work earlier than 6 pm. There’s tons of paperwork and when you’re finally done, your boss always finds something to keep you at work. You’re starting to believe he really hates you to another level, but if it’s indeed the case, it’s reciprocal.
When you finally reached the cafe, you were on your last legs. After quickly ordering an iced americano, you sat down on one of the free tables. It was usually pretty empty at 7 pm since most of the people would rather directly go home after working the whole day than stay in a cafe. However, you loved to spend time there since one of your childhood dreams was to open your own cafeteria. Sadly, your parents never agreed to it and you ended up having to follow their dream path.
“Y/N?” You turned around when someone mentioned your name, only to be face to face with a young man in his mid-twenties. At first, you had no clue how he knew you but then you slowly recognised him thanks to the tiny scar on his left cheek.
“Changho?” You smiled at the unexpected meeting. “It’s been so long since I last saw you.” You chuckled and got up for a quick hug.
“Do you mind if I join your table?” He asked, smiling.
“Not at all.”
After sitting down, you both got your drinks and got lost in a long conversation. You would never think you’d meet your best friend from elementary school again after he left to study abroad. At first, you’d keep in touch regularly but then you both got caught up with studies, work and you eventually lost contact.
Back in time, you two were inseparable and you treated him as if he was your actual brother. People at school would in fact gossip about you two dating but you never saw him that way. Your love for each other was purely platonic.
“I’m glad I came back here.” He admitted, looking at you.
“Why didn’t you stay in Australia? I thought it was your dream to work there.” You asked, sipping on your iced americano.
“I really loved studying there but I didn’t feel at the right place. The atmosphere wasn’t the same as here, in my motherland so I ended up deciding to come back here and have a new start.”
“Well I’m not gonna lie, I’m happy you’re back. I missed having my brother here.” You admitted and looked at the cafe’s clock to check the time.
“Oh gosh, I’d love to stay more here with you but I really have to go, work has been a mess these days and I’m craving to go to bed.” You looked at apologetically, scratching your neck.
“Don’t worry, I couldn’t possibly agree more, I had lost of work as well.” You both laughed and exchanged your numbers to meet some other day.
“Hold on, tell me y/n, did you finally find your prince on a white horse?” He raised one of his eyebrows, sipping on his drink.
Changho almost chocked on his drink after you proudly showed him the engagement ring.
“No way! When did that happen!?” He smiled.
“A few months ago, it was really unexpected but he made sure the moment was unforgettable.” You softly chuckled at the memory of Hanseok holding a box with a beautiful ring inside.
“I definitely have to meet him someday and tell him how much of a lucky guy he is. Congratulations!” You both high-fived and eventually left the cafeteria.
“Do you need me to call a taxi for you?” He was about to grab his phone but you shook your head.
“No need, I live around 10 minutes from here.” You reassured him but his face was hesitant.
“We talked a lot though and it got pretty dark.” He looked around at the few street lamps that didn’t give much light. “Let me walk you home, it’ll be safer.” He suggested and you ended up agreeing.
The walk was short but you obviously felt more comfortable with someone by your side.
“It was nice seeing you again, I look forward to our next meeting.” Changho waved at you and left once you were at your doorstep.
“See you!” You smiled and grabbed the keys in your purse.
“Hanseok I’m home!” You exclaimed but pouted when there was no response.
You took off your shoes and made your way into the living room but your fiancé was nowhere to be seen. It didn’t worry you though since you thought he was simply still at work.
You were about to boil some water to make yourself some tea when someone turned you around and planted a rather harsh kiss on your lips. You didn’t panic though because you knew it couldn’t be no one else other than Hanseok.
After about 5 minutes of your make out session, you broke the kiss and wrapped your arms around his bare neck, admiring his toned chest.
“Well that was a warm welcome.” You chuckled but frowned when his lips didn’t even twitch into a smile. “Did something happen?” You asked, unsure.
“Why did you come home so late, hm?” He hummed, softly caressing your neck, not even making eye contact with you.
“I got caught up with work, you know how my boss hates me.” You sighed, deciding to lie because you knew he wouldn’t like it if you mentioned you were with another boy.
“Work, huh?” His soft grip on your neck suddenly got tighter and his eyes turned cold, finally meeting yours. “Weren’t you perhaps caught up in a conversation with a man in a cafe?”
“Did you really follow me?” You sneered, not believing it but his grip got stronger.
“Why would you meet another man and why would you fucking lie to me about it!?” He screamed.
“That’s exactly why I lied! You’re already making a big deal about it even though you don’t know why I was with him!” You exclaimed, frustrated.
“Don’t you remember how many times I told you I’m the only man you need in your life? No other man can satisfy you as much as I can!” He smirked.
Before explaining everything, you freed yourself from his grip around your neck. You coughed a few times and cleared your throat.
“We met by accident today! He’s my old best friend from school. This man was like a brother to me and he’s the only one who was there for me when I was a kid. You know how my parents were at that time. He used to be the only person who actually cared about me.” You sighed, however the anger in Hanseok’s eyes didn’t go away.
“Awh, I’m supposed to get emotional? He is still a man, a very important one for you as I can see. You better not meet him again.” He gritted trough his teeth.
“Or what? You’re gonna kill him?” You sneered at him, rolling your eyes.
“You wanna bet?” He smirked, cocking his head to the side. “Don’t roll your eyes at me.” He threatened.
“I hate you.” You pushed him away and were about to leave but he grabbed your arm and put you back against the counter.
“I wasn’t done with the conversation.” He said, putting both his arms against the counter, hovering over you and blocking your way out.
“I’m tired of you being so possessive! I hate how you don’t trust me when I talk to other guys. Do you really think I’d hook up with each guy I talk to? As I see, I’m nothing more than a whore in your eyes. Plus, I just learned that you follow me around. You really don’t trust me to that point?” You sighed, becoming more frustrated.
“I don’t trust you? Oh sweetie, I trust you with my life, I just don’t trust the scumbags who talk with you. I mean, I don’t even want to start imagining what they must think when they see such a pretty face with a perfect body.” He whispered, tracing both of his hands on your upper thighs. “Regarding the following, I ordered a few bodyguards to watch you because, in case you forgot, a few people wish to kill me right now and I can’t let anything happen to you!”
“I don’t care what these men think, I only got my eyes on you anyway.” You exhaled and ran your hand trough his locks. “Plus, you keep our relationship secret so I doubt your enemies know about me.”
“Princess, you have no clue how the world I live in works, I can guarantee they have informations about you and that’s why I have to keep an eye on you.” He softly pecked your forehead.
“If you say so… but you have to stop acting this way whenever I talk with a guy, promise?” You showed him your pinky and he locked it with his as a promise. “If a guy ever gets too close to me, I’ll beat him by myself.” You said proudly, making Hanseok smile.
“Hm, sure.” Hanseok caressed your cheek.
“Let’s go to sleep now, we both have to wake up early tomorrow.” You rubbed your eyes and your fiancé suddenly picked you up.
“As you wish, princess. You do know that you can quit your job anytime though? I can give you everything you need.” He smirked and softly pecked your forehead.
“Even though my boss is horrible, I like my job. Plus, I want to have my own money that I earned by working hard.” You admitted.
“That’s my girl.” He chuckled and laid you down on the bed. “However let me atleast call your boss to say you’ll be absent tomorrow, hm? So we can have some fun together.” He whispered the last part and you felt a strand of wet kisses along your neck.
His hands were busy exploring your body while his mouth was leaving marks on your neck. One of his fingers was about to travel under your skirt but you stopped him.
“Not today, I’m too tired and still a bit mad.” You turned around and heard him laugh.
“Alright fine princess, but you better turn back around.” He quickly wrapped his arms around your waist and put your head on his bare chest. “Way better.” He nodded and you laughed before falling into the arms of Morpheus.
Hanseok slowly caressed your hair and even though he promised to not get angry and possessive when he sees you with another guy, he knew he’ll break the promise the second it’ll happen again. You are his and he can’t let anyone hurt you or take you away from him.

summary ┆dating joon-woo was always an adventure for you. he was sweet, caring, had great humor, and was overall a good man. until you find out his true identity. you didn’t hesitate in leaving him, but that only angered him because in his mind — if he can’t have you then no one else should.
warnings ┆ violence & swearing. domestic violence. super toxic oneshot since han-seok is a crazy and psychotic mf
key: bold = english
a/n ┆ the pov’s will change between you and han-seok. the song kill bill is definitely the inspo for this fic because i just know han-seok’s psychotic ass will kill his lover if he needs to
Tumblr media
“Surprise!”
You jumped at the sound of your boyfriend’s voice since you were too concentrated on sweeping the floors. Turning around, you came face to face with a plastic bag and a smiling Joon-woo.
“You know you really need to start bringing lunch to work. I hate it when you skip a meal,” he pouted.
“I’m sorry baby,” you sighed, but shot him a smile. “I appreciate you looking out for me.”
The two of you were about to kiss until the sound of two girls snickering made you roll your eyes. Of course your co workers would be spying on the two of you, since they have nothing better to do.
“Oh, hey!” Joon-woo waved at them. “I think they’re looking for you.”
“No they’re not,” you glared at them. “They just wanna spy on us.”
“But you two are so cute!” Hae-won gushed with a pout. “You really lucked out.”
“Please _____, where did you find him? So I can try to find my future husband,” Seo-yun whined.
Your face was turning red in embarrassment and you heard Joon-woo laugh as he pulled you in for a hug. They always do this. Hae-won and Seo-yun never had luck when it came to boys and the moment they found out you had a boyfriend, they had to see him. At first they needed to make sure he was going to be a right fit for you since you “deserve the best” — according to Seo-yun. But when they met Joon-woo and began to see how caring and sweet he was, they cried.
Like, actually cried.
Now, they sulk in their own sorrows of not being able to find their own Joon-woo, since every guy they meet only wants them for their body.
“Maybe if you guys stopped sleeping with every guy you meet then maybe you will find the right one,” your voice was muffled against Joon-woo’s chest but they were able to hear you pretty clear.
“Okay but sex is great,” Hae-won winked. “Which makes me wonder how is your sex life–”
“Okay! We’re done here!” You screamed and began to shove Joon-woo outside of the cafe.
“Well if you must know–”
You cut your boyfriend off by lightly smacking his chest. “Don’t encourage this!”
His angelic laughed echoed throughout the empty cafe before you lead him outside. The streets were a bit empty since it was still early in the morning but you knew you only had a few minutes left until the cafe opened. You gave Joon-woo a quick kiss on the lips but he held you close as he dragged it out.
“Sorry, I just love kissing you,” he grinned when he pulled away. “Another thing, did you want to resume our apartment hunt after work?”
“Of course! I feel excited about it!”
You’ve been dating him for almost a year already and the two of you were ready to take your relationship to the next step. Although he’s the one who will be making most of the income, Joon-woo always reassured you that he doesn’t mind it one bit. It took a bit of negotiating with him, but in the end, you both agreed that he would be in charge of the bills while you take care of the smaller stuff. He really did not want you paying for anything but you insisted.
You gave him one last kiss as you said your goodbyes, feeling thrilled on seeing him later.
Time passed and his career at Wusang began to grow more. He was already doing a great job being an intern for Lawyer Hong, but after she left Wusang, he was appointed as a new lawyer for the cases regarding Babel. His demeanor did seem to slowly change just a bit, but you didn’t think much of it. He was most likely stressed out since Ms. Hong and her new partner were not making it easy for Wusang.
Joon-woo walked inside looking tense as ever. Something was definitely bothering him by the way he tossed his briefcase and began to struggle in untying his tie. You walked towards him to assist him, which he let you but was avoiding eye contact.
“Baby? Are you okay?”
Instead of responding with words, he grabbed your face and began to hungrily kiss you. It definitely caught you off guard and you stumbled a bit but he supported you.
“Mm,” you mumbled and pulled away. “Joon-woo what’s wrong?”
He shot you a sad smile. “I failed. We lost the case and it cost Babel millions of dollars.”
He looked defeated and it killed you. Seeing him look so down, and not be his usual goofy self was a crime. It hurt knowing he was going to beat himself over this, so you said nothing. You grabbed his face and connected your lips once again, letting out a small moan when he pressed your bodies together.
You made sure to make him feel special that night.
But slowly, you’ve been feeling hesitant with Joon-woo’s career choice. After Babel was exposed for their heinous actions, you were even surprised Joon-woo still wanted to work for Wusang. Your sweet Joon-woo wanted to work for a corrupted law firm and defend a company that is definitely doing illegal activities under the radar.
You tried to reason with him, but he would just flash you his charming smile and tell you that everything will be okay. You worried if he dug too deep, he could potentially put himself in danger. You also tried to make him realize that there’s better law firms to work for — one that won’t defend a corrupted company. You’ve never argued before, but your last conversation almost lead to one and it was a bit scary, so you left it alone.
You felt yourself almost have a panic attack when Joon-woo was admitted into the hospital after a severe hunting incident. That morning, you remember Joon-woo telling you how him, his supervisor, and another lawyer from Wusang were going on a “bonding trip” with the Chairman of Babel. Yet, something went wrong and your boyfriend was now hospitalized after being shot. No one was giving you answers and you practically went berserk on everyone.
Its like the gods answered your prayers because Joon-woo was recovering rather quickly, and you didn’t care if you looked like a crying hot mess when you were finally allowed to see him. You were careful to not hurt him as you cried into his chest while he reassured you that everything was finally going to be okay.
Whatever that meant.
After he fully recovered, his demeanor changed drastically. Something was off about him since he no longer reeked rainbows and sunshine’s — that’s one way to put it. You were caught off guard when a man in a suit dropped off a box for you at the front door; inside was a white gorgeous, off the shoulder dress and heels.
It looked expensive.
Inside was a note from Joon-woo, explaining to put on the dress and have the man waiting outside drive you to Wusang. You grabbed your phone and called him, the confusion settling in since you had no idea what was happening.
“Yes baby?” He answered.
“Joon-woo… what is this dress? And why do you want me to go to–”
“I’ll explain when you get here. Just know there will be lots of reporters taking pictures. I have to go. I’ll see you soon baby.”
And with that he hung up, leaving you more confused than ever. Deciding to not question the weird situation any further, you got ready and did your hair. You applied some make up as well before heading out and getting inside the car Joon-woo sent. Was he going to surprise you with something? Did he get a huge promotion at Wusang? So many unanswered questions ran through your head.
You arrived at the law firm and was immediately escorted to the CEO’s office, which made you nervous. What the hell was going on? Upon arriving, your eyes immediately fell on Joon-woo, who looked incredibly handsome. His hair was slicked and fixed neatly all while wearing a super expensive suit — one you’ve never seen before.
Everyone turned to look at you, making you feel self conscious. “Hello,” you greeted with a shy smile.
“Hello!” A man with glasses walked up to you to shake your hand. “I’m Hang Seung-hyuk, the CEO of Wusang. But you can call me Mr. Hang, even Seung-hyuk is okay too!”
You smiled back at him and nodded your head. He was oddly very friendly, but you were more bewildered at the fact he wants to be on first name basis, even though he’s your boyfriend’s boss. What the hell did Joon-woo do to get on his good side?
Speaking of your boyfriend, he walked up to you to place a kiss on your lips. “Hi baby. You look beautiful.”
Did he really just kiss you in front of his superiors?
“Mr. Jang, it’s almost time and we need to go,” a lady with glasses spoke.
Mr. Jang? What?
You didn’t even get a chance to speak since Joon-woo took a hold of your hand and began to lead you out. You were escorted inside a car before it took off, and your eyes wandered between Mr. Han, the lady with glasses, and the fucking Chairman of Babel.
“So!” Joon-woo broke the silence with a clap of his hands. “Let’s do this.”
“Do what?” You questioned.
“Are you ready for this baby?”
“Yes… I think?”
You honestly had no clue.
Joon-woo nodded his head and flashed you a charming smile. “I’m the real chairman of Babel.”
Silence. Pure silence.
“My name isn’t Jang Joon-woo, it’s Jang Han-seok. I’m the eldest son of Chairman Jang Guk-hwan..”
“N-Now wait a second–”
“I was sent away and studied overseas, then came back and took over the company after my father died. I never revealed myself as the Chairman for… reasons. But here I am! I’m back baby.”
There was too much information to process and you felt a bit nauseous. Your sweet Joon-woo, is actually Jang Han-seok, the Chairman of an evil company who got exposed for their corrupted ways. The more you thought about it, the more it made sense. You always wondered how he made so much money for just being an intern. The expensive dates. Paying for a nice apartment. Refusing to leave Wusang. Everything was falling into place.
All you could do was meekly smile at him as he pecked your cheek, and he introduced you to Ms. Choi and Han-seo, his younger half brother who’s not the real Chairman after all.
The moment you arrived to your destination you walked out of the car, hand-in-hand, as you tilted your head down. Everyone was taking pictures when they noticed your group coming into view, a few whispers coming from the crowd when they noticed you holding hands with Joon-woo.
No, not Joon-woo, he’s Han-seok.
The pictures, the reporters, all of the flashing and being on camera was too much — that’s how life was for you for the next couple days. You followed Han-seok everywhere. To interviews, to his prosecution; every little thing he had to attend? You were there. You slowly felt yourself drifting away from him. It felt like you didn’t know who he was anymore. He had a more stoic persona and the cheerful Joon-woo was completely gone.
And you reached a point where you couldn’t take it anymore.
Han-seok just got home while you laid in bed, silently crying as you began to lean more towards your decision of leaving him. He walked inside the bedroom, stripping himself of his clothing before changing into some sweatpants.
“Hey baby,” he kissed your neck while crawling into bed, but the sound of your small hiccup made him stop. He turned you over and furrowed his brows when he noticed your tear stained face. “Hey, what’s wrong?”
You shook your head as your confidence rapidly washed away the moment you stared into Han-seok’s eyes. He tucked a loose strand of your hair behind your ear and brought your hand up to his lips, leaving delicate kisses on your knuckles.
“Talk to me. What’s wrong?”
You closed your eyes, building up your courage to let all of your thoughts and emotions out.
“I can’t do this Han-seok.”
His face morphed into something you’ve never seen before, and frankly, it terrified you.
“What do you mean?”
You managed to get off the bed but he was quick in grabbing your wrist.
“I mean that… I can’t be with you anymore. You’re… you’re not the man I fell in love with. I fell in love with Jang Joon-woo, not Jang Han-seok.”
“Seriously? I’m the same person.”
“You changed!” You cried out, the tears already streaming down your cheeks. “You run a company that’s been involving itself in conspiracy and dirty work. You don’t care who you hurt, as long as Babel stays on top. I’m hearing about all these cases of people dying because of Babel and it’s making me sick.”
“Those are lies created to make–”
“That’s not what I–”
“Don’t interrupt me.”
Your eyes widened when you felt his hand wrap around your throat. You whimpered in fear, your lip quivering as you began to have a breakdown. He’s never raised a hand on you… until now.
“I-I’m sorry,” you apologized. “Please don’t hurt me.”
Han-seok quickly let you go and mumbled out a low curse. “Baby I’m sorry I…” he pulled you in for a hug but you flinched in response. “Fuck, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to do that.”
“I… Han-seok…”
“Shh, it’s okay. I’m sorry baby, I won’t hurt you. Just please don’t leave me. I’m so so sorry. Let me buy you food, okay?”
Nothing he can say or do will make you stay. You only nodded your head in response, just to give him the satisfaction that you’re staying. But that same night, you crawled out of bed without making any sound. You quickly wrote him a letter before packing your stuff and leaving him for good, not daring to look back.
-
You were such a fool.
After that night of you leaving Han-seok, he completely lost it and trashed his apartment. Who did you think you were leaving him? You were his and only his. He offered to give you everything yet you decided to break off your relationship just because you had stupid morals.
You mustn’t of loved him the same way he loved you and that pissed him off.
Now that he thinks about it, whatever he felt for you was definitely not love. He was incapable of feeling such emotion. The correct term is definitely obsession, because boy, was Han-seok obsessed and captivated by you. You were perfect in his eyes. He enjoyed having you around, plus, you were always such a good distraction when he needed it. You reminded him that he wasn’t alone in this boring world…
Until you decided to leave him.
Tough luck for you, he planted a tracker on your phone the moment he knew he had to make you his. There wasn’t much suspicion when you were dating him but after you left, he’s been one crazy motherfucker. Your location would occasionally ping at bars so he would follow you. He would feel his blood boiling whenever he spotted you with those two obnoxious co-workers of yours, Seo-yun and Hae-won. You looked happy. Happy without him.
No, no, that won’t do.
But what completely set him off was the moment he began to see you hanging out with a guy. You would hang out with him quite often, but one morning when he walked by your apartment and saw the same guy walking out while fixing his pants, he knew what he had to do.
If he couldn’t have you, then no one else could.
That same night he walked up to your apartment and knocked on the door. The moment you swung the door open, your eyes widened in fear, and he pushed you in while placing a hand over your mouth.
“If you scream or make any noise, I’ll cut out your fucking tongue.”
You began to hyperventilate as you shook your head.
“Are you going to stay quiet for me?” When he saw you nod in response he smiled. “Good girl.”
He let go of you and you took a step back. “Han-seok what are you doing here?”
“Was just in the neighborhood,” he began to examine your living room and noticed a vase of roses with a pink ribbon wrapped around it. “Did your new boyfriend give you these?”
“I-I..”
“What’s his name?”
Your silence irked him. How rude of you to ignore his question. He threw the vase on the floor, causing you to scream.
“Tsk tsk, that won’t do.”
He gave you zero time to react before he knocked you out.
He brought you back to his father’s vacation home, the same place he used when he needed to lay low for a couple of days. He paced around the living room while you laid unconscious on the floor, but the sound of your groan made him stop. He bent down in front of you, grabbing your chin while he examined your face.
You slowly blinked up at him. “Where… where am I?”
“In my father’s vacation home,” he smiled. “How was your nap?”
You began to slowly regain consciousness and your eyes widened at the realization of what happened. “You… you–”
“Shhh,” he placed a finger over your lips. “You made me do this. You fucking whore.”
“Han-seok, please.”
You could plead him all you want, but it wasn’t going to work. Both of your heads turned to look at the door the moment his men walked in with the same guy you’ve been seeing for the last couple of weeks. He was pretty beat up with his hands and legs tied, but was still conscious of his surroundings.
“Jin-sang!” You screamed out at the sight of him.
“Ah, so that’s his name.”
Jin-sang looked up and grew frantic when he saw you. “____!” He called out your name but was immediately silenced when Han-seok kicked his face.
“Don’t say her name,” he hissed and bent down to press a knee against his chest. “Don’t even look at her. Okay?”
His eyes widened in realization when he saw Han-seok. “I-It’s you.”
“Aw, did my girl enjoy talking about me? How cute,” he applied more pressure on his chest. “Did you enjoy fucking her too?”
His eyes were full of fear the moment he saw Han-seok pull out a gun from his waist. He teased him with it, waving it in front of his face before pressing it down against his crotch and firing a shot. Both you and Jin-sang screamed, but his screams were much more satisfying to listen to.
“I’m going to kill you slowly and painfully. That’s what you get for fucking what’s mine. You tarnished her with your dirty dick, and now, you don’t have one.”
Jin-sang was crying in pain and at the brink of passing out, but Han-seok was not going to have any of that. The chairman stood up and fired one shot in each of his limbs, a dark smile plastering on his face.
“Han-seok stop please!” You begged him as you choked out a sob.
And that irritated the fuck out of him.
“Oh so care about what I do to him?” He turned to face you with a crazed look. “Let me make something clear, you’re mine. You’ve always been fucking mine. Just because you walked out on me doesn’t mean I accepted it.”
He fired another shot at Jin-sang, this time aiming for a finger.
“You’re sick,” you yelled.
“Oh no, you brought this upon yourself. If you weren’t such a fucking whore, then he would’ve been relaxing at home right now. But,” he aimed the gun at his throat, “now he’ll die.”
“No!”
But it was too late, he fired his last shot and enjoyed watching Jin-sang choke on his own blood as his body writhed on the floor. It was such a satisfying scene. Your screams and sobs were like nails on a chalkboard and he marched towards you, slapping you hard across the face with the gun.
“Oh baby, you made me do this,” he hummed and began to caress your bruised cheek. “I don’t like sharing what’s mine.”
“Please just stop.”
“Come back to me,” he stated while completely ignoring what you just said. “We can be so happy. I’ll spoil you, treat you like a fucking queen, we can travel the world and do so much. Come on.”
You spit on his face, a look of disgust flashing through your features. “I rather fucking die than be with you.”
Why? Why couldn’t you answered correctly? Why did you have to fucking say that? On top of that you spit on him. After everything he’s done for you, this is how you end up treating him? Fuck no. He truly wanted you to take his offer since killing you was something he did not want to do. But if you’re going to be this ungrateful and refuse to be with him, then he has no other choice. There’s no fucking way you’re going to live on and be happy without him. He’s your happiness. He’s all you need. Without him, you’re nothing.
Han-seok didn’t hesitate in raising his gun and shooting you right in the head, your dead body dropping to the ground. Seeing your motionless body was not… right. He didn’t want this. Why did it have to end like this? Why, just fucking why?
He screamed out in anger and turned around to repeatedly fire all of his bullets onto Jin-sang’s body. After he used up all of his ammo, he threw the gun and began to wreck havoc. He punched the walls, threw furniture around, and screamed until his face got red and his lungs were fighting for air. He dropped down next to your body and pulled you close, rocking himself back and forth while crying.
“I’m sorry baby, but you made me fucking do this. This is your fault.”
And he sat there — clutching your lifeless body — as he felt no regret for his actions, because he would much rather be in Hell than be alone.

Melted - Jang Hanseo x Reader
Tumblr media
requested by the lovely @trufflepuffs! this idea was too cute to ignore, thank you for the love <3
a/n: kinda went overboard w the metaphors don’t mind me haha
Today was the day.
You couldn’t help but sneak another lovesick glance at him, as he skated his heart out on the rink.
Moments like that reminded you just how you learned to love him so much in the first place. Blissful eyes and smiles so wide your cheeks would hurt. Hanseo was the only person in the world who had such an effect on you.
“ Hey Y/n!” He called out, and skated over to face you. “ Join me!” He grinned, gesturing to the pair of ice skates awaiting for use.
“ I’m good,” You waved off, reflecting his heavenly smile. “ You keep skating.” You said, then adding on, “ You’re amazing at it.”
He blushed. Very profusely.
You knew how much Hanseo loved compliments and wouldn’t hesitate to shower him with them everyday. Even if your relationship was still in the friend zone, you never skipped a day with Hanseo not hearing just how great he was.
Maybe that was why you refused to join him on the rink. You sucked at skating and keeping your balance- even on trivial things. You preferred seeing him from a distance, his feet gliding on the ice as if he had known it for all of his life.
You didn’t know ice all your life, and you were scared to imagine how Hanseo would react if you were to fall so easily. His image of you was far too different from the image you had of yourself, and you didn’t want that to change.
Change, however, comes by when one expects it the least.
“ Come on, now?” You spent too much time in your thoughts, and now Hanseo was out of the rink as well, holding out the pair of skates.
“ Hanseo…” You complained in a playful whine, and he didn’t back down.
You gazed down at the skates, and it seemed too foreign to wear. Too different. But, you looked back up at Hanseo-
Only to see his signature puppy eyes.
He knew you couldn’t resist.
Letting out a sigh, you grabbed the skates and sat down on the bench to tie them on. He cheered cutely as you put them on, clapping his hands gently as his eyes sparkled at you.
Like how the ice sparkled at you, too. Maybe skating wouldn’t be too bad.
As the two of you entered the rink again, Hanseo would just not let go of your hands.
“ I- I need to hold your hands so… um… you won’t fall.” He came up with an excuse, and you bit back that knowing smile.
Minutes passed like this, stuck in a piece of time so beautiful. You looked down at your intertwined hands and your heart began to beat even faster.
Your imagination ran wild, conjuring up romantic scenarios in your head although the suspect of your dreams was right beside you.
“ You look nice.” Hanseo blurted out of nowhere, snapping you out of the depths your imagination.
“ Huh?” You let out, completely off guard.
“ O- on the ice. I meant. Skating… um, suits you.” He scrambled for words, looking at everything around him but your eyes.
You fought back a chuckle, “ Skating suits you too.” You replied, a small blush resting on your cheeks.
“ Mhm…” He nodded wordlessly, as the two of you began to skate in awkward silence.
You abruptly halted, nearly catapulting Hanseo straight into the rink’s perimeter fence. He yelped in surprise, but your locked hands steadily pulled him back to safety.
“ Jang Hanseo,” You started, and he gulped. You almost never used his surname when calling to him. “ What do you think of me?” You asked, leaning in slowly as his face flushed a bright red.
“ You’re… You’re a good friend.” He spoke in a deathly slow pace. “ You’re really nice and understanding. And kind, funny, pretty…” He stopped himself from saying anymore.
“ Pretty..?” You echoed, your heart began to pound as your whole world became Hanseo in that very instant.
“ I meant…” He backtracked himself, only to fall into the quiet again. “ Yeah, I think you’re really pretty.” He admitted, his volume lowering to a mumble.
Maybe it was the ice that froze you into place- your lips sealed as you couldn’t think of anything else to say apart from those three dangerous words.
Seeing your silence, Hanseo mustered up an smile, embarrassingly laughing at his own words. “ I… uh, didn’t mean it that way, you know?”
It was that heartbroken smile which melted you.
“ I like you.” You blurted out, and his eyes widened in shock. The both of you gazed down at your hands, which were still interlocked.
You tightened your hold, glancing away to avoid getting more flustered. “ I know that we’ve been really- really good friends but… I… I want more.” You confessed, looking straight up at him, mustering every drop of courage you had in you.
“ I want more too…” He replied, a soft smile playing on his lips. He skated closer to you, to the point you could feel him breathe down right above your ear.
It tickles… You blushed and let loose of one of your hands to caress his face. His skin was as cold as the ice you stood upon, and you let your thumb glide across his lower lip.
His breathing grew audibly ragged as he flushed a deep red.
“ Y/n… may I kiss you?”
You nodded once, and was brought into an embrace like no other before. You desperately clung onto the perimeter fence, holding it in fear you may fall.
His lips were warmer than you had imagined, contrasting starkly to the chills you felt all around.
You wrapped your arms around his neck as he deepened the kiss, wishing in that very moment that humans didn’t need oxygen to breath.
The two of you parted for air, for lovesick smiles and giggles filled the space between. “ I’m…” Hanseo caught his breath, “ I’m surprised we didn’t slip and fall.” He cracked a light joke, and you laughed.
“ But we have already.” You beamed, and he blushed at your words. “ LIKE THIS!” You exclaimed suddenly, tripping him over as he fell, only for you to lose your balance next.
“ Ow! Y/n!” Hanseo groaned, lying on the ice as he rubbed the back of his head. He groggily opened his eyes again, to see you lying right beside him on the ice.
“ I really need to improve my balance…” You complained, as you massaged your aching wrist.
“ Pft-”
“ Huh? Are you laughing at me?!” You jabbed, sitting upright on the cold ice.
Hanseo fell into a chortle of laughter, wiping the fake tears from his eyes as he tackled you into a hug.
“ God, Y/n… I- I can’t believe we…” His tone grew soft as you could recognize the pure love from his gaze. “ We’re actually-”
You cut him off with a quick peck on the cheek, grinning at how flustered you had made him. “ Let’s save the cute stuff for outside the rink.” You said, standing up slowly so you wouldn’t slip again.
You reached out a hand for him, “ How about a date?”
