hey everyone i know i'm not super active in mcytblr rn but with all the talk about misogyny in the gaming community and bias towards m/m stuff (which is absolutely important to talk about!! keep that conversation going) i just. wanna mention.
can we please not girlbossify qsmp jaiden? attributing her character to "way cooler than everyone because she's a girl and not roleplaying gay sex" kind of alienates her and reduces her to a gender and orientation. i love jaiden to bits but she isn't a corporate-stereotype-girl-power-badass and i am very tired of every fem cc/character being shoved into this sanitised feminism box.
it's kind of a disservice that completely overlooks jaiden's on-stream persona. i'm very sick of this mandatory link where to justify a fem character as enjoyable they have to be made into a girlboss. just putting it out there.

Doodles before i go to sleep! + A peek on my narrator's out-of-bounds form or what else you call it ^^ i had fun doing these!
Info-dump just past this "keep reading" line! Give it a look-see if you'd like! It offers some explanation behind some of the doodles here:
• Narrator is built different, to put simply. He can see clearly through his glasses despite the fast bouts of coding speeding across his vision a mile a minute. So if Stanley or some human being were to put on Narrator's glasses, all they would see are fast blurs from the game's codes. (See fifth /5th/ doodle)
• Narrator has an Out-Of-Bounds Form! (I like calling it that it's nice to my ears) He's big and gooey (like the inside of a lava lamp!) And supposed to be very starry sometimes! He also appreciates tiny (read: literally) kisses from Stanley.
• In case some missed it in one of my posts' tags - (My) Narrator indeed calls Stanley dear, darling, etc! It started as an ironic thing Narrator would do and a thing Stanley would frown at, but it got so frequent that they got used to it over time and just accepted it.
• (Not related to the doodles but a tid bit of information about Narrator) He doesn't always physically accompany Stanley through the Parable :) he only does when he feels like it or when either of them need a moment. Or when Stanley insists enough.
And that's all! I may delve into more serious tones for TSP doodles and art sooner than later, maybe. Soon ;)
Thanks for stopping by! Take care <3

I think it is hilarious that when Dazai left his little villain perch in the mafia, he couldn’t quite shake the innate urge to be a menace and his only outlet is tormenting select coworkers at the ADA (Kunikida) to feed the evil little monster at the back of his mind that does a delighted little victory dance every time he manages to make Kunikida’s blood pressure rise and it is hilarious to me that he actually gets twitchy when he can’t get a rise out of Kunikida and starts foaming at the mouth bc he needs his evil fix for the day

whenever i read skk fanfiction theres always a point in the evening where i look across my room to my copy of dazai’s self portraits and feel the need to clarify to myself that i am not, in fact, reading fanfiction of two authors but rather the twinkified anime versions of said authors

where’s that little horror piece about kits never growing up in Starclan? because I remember it so vividly but I can’t find it.
The one about Bright Stream?
Weird that it's so hard to find! It's probably because it's got such heavy tags lmao.
I really mean it though like, canon's permakitten system and the idea that Bright Stream is up there, forever taking care of fetus children who were filled by sudden knowledge and yet never grow past that point absolutely horrifies me. Jesus Christ. I don't know how anyone reads that final scene in Path of Stars and isn't filled with itching, white-hot existential dread, man.
Sometimes you just gotta write horror about it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

With Poseidon showing up to save Percy on Olympus, Percy is given a more tangible reason to reject Luke’s statement of ‘the gods are bad parents’.
Book!Percy may have been more inclined towards this plea, having never had a major moment where his father really showed up for him, and he witnesses the shortcomings in the Olympians. Such as when they debate killing him after he stopped a war.
But show!Percy is less inclined to Luke’s side because yeah, some of the gods are bad parents. He witnesses them at their worst, when Athena puts her daughter in danger out of spite, and Hermes is willfully negligent (even if it is, as he claims, for the best). But Poseidon shows the gods at their best as parents. He quite literally shows up and takes a significant blow to his pride for his son.
So when show!Percy sees these characteristic in more stark contrast, (instead of the more gray of the books where he could be swayed either way), he is able to conceptualize ‘the gods can be better than this’ with a hopeful outlook. Maybe his father hasn’t been there for him much, but it isn’t fair to lump the Olympians together under a label of ‘bad parents’ when there are obviously areas in between, and evidence that they are capable of being better.

my favorite thing ever is nine being kind of ominous and foreboding like this dude is 0.01 degrees of separation away from being a straight up mad scientist. and it’s so awesome
