Very sorry to hear about Nicki Aycox. She played the only version of Meg I can appreciate.
#I don’t love Meg in general but at least Meg 1.0 was creepy and unabashedly demonically evil. Like she actually felt like a demon iykwim#Like.. she was the blueprint. As much as I love Crowley and Ruby they are kind of just…. slightly rude guys 😭 more than ~demons~#And when I say ~demons~ I guess I mean a character who is just plainly a fucked up twisted soul shredded and tortured into insanity#I think Meg 1.0 and Azazel and Alastair and to an extent Belphagor are the only spn demons where I was like oh this is a DEMON#But anyway yea Meg 1.0 was just a really messed up villain who repeatedly did messed up things and she was absolutely irredeemable#and the show actually KNEW that.#As opposed to 2.0 being suddenly woobified with literally zero build up or actual redemption arc. It just bothers me#Unlike someone like say Rowena nothing about 2.0’s “redemption” was earned or justified or like. Extant lol#Like no offence to Ms Miner I just hate where the writers went with the character when she took over#And then this opinion gets compounded with the way thee entire fandom worships 2.0 😭😭 I don’t get it I really don’t#It makes it extra frustrating is all#Anyway I’m very sad for Nicki she was very young :(#My posts#Tw irl death mention

This cosplay was so so close to never seeing the light of day, as this was the aforementioned project I rage quit to procrastinate with Nekomancer on haha. I really adored the fionna and cake special (and adventure time in general) and wanted to cosplay from it for eons...although I will admit this project was intended to be "generic blue and silver winter regal outfit for a variety of characters" and it was a toss up on whether or not the first run was going to go to the Winter King/Simon or Jack Frost...but I couldn't find my jack frost wig so here we are!
This was my first time working a lot with velvet and low key....I loved it and would love to use it more.

for donnie, leo will gladly give every scrap of patience and grace and gentleness he has. he doesn't mind explaining things. he doesn't mind telling his brother the same things over and over. he doesn't mind it when donnie forgets or doesn't understand or needs his help to remember or process things.
but he misses the banter. the back-and-forth. the stupid fights and pranks and 'you said's' and 'i told you so's.' and, perhaps a bit selfishly, he misses when he didn't always feel like he had to be the bigger person for him. he misses when he still had the space to be childish and immature and petty towards his twin, and it wouldn't hurt either of them the way it tends to now.

It’s funny when the DC fans get annoyed that half the fandom hasn’t kept up with the entire extended DC universe and know everybody’s stories and backstories and different versions and shit

Me going into this weekend: Well, it's time for the local anime convention, the one that I've been preparing for since December and worked super hard so I'd have lots of mage plushies in the store I sell them at downtown, all ready for excited anime fans to buy them!
This weekend: Protesters gridlock downtown on Saturday (aka, the Busy Day, aka the Profitable Day) because they can't handle the concept of a drag queen doing story time for kids at the library, someone escalates this to a very effective bomb threat that's fortunately fake but still forces local shops to close and the reading to be cancelled for the sake of safety, it pours rain, and is the coldest weekend we've had all month to boot. All the shops and the downtown farmer's market that brought in extra stock and produce in preparation for what is traditionally a very profitable weekend for local businesses due to exploring convention members are left in the lurch.
Me, now: (lying in my bed trying to console myself with humour) ...this did not go according to keikaku.*

#my life#tw bomb#tw bomb mention#this weekend was supposed to hopefully net me the equivalent of a couple months of profit#instead two mages sold on Friday and I don't think anyone from con really went to the store the other two days#frustrated tears; I worked SO HARD to make sure there was plenty of stock for this weekend specifically#and extra sympathy for the farmers' market vendors who brought in extra food for the lunchtime crowd#which didn't come because cold wet weather + conservative protestors#also this wasn't some little phone-in bomb scare#a package was found at the library. a bomb squad with a dog was called in#the dog reacted to it in a 'we need to treat this as a threat' manner#and there was also a letter going 'yeah... this is ONE of the ones I've placed around downtown'#it was fortunately a fake out but it was still highly effective#and my parents got to learn all this after I was already downtown and there wasn't a good way to immediately retrieve me#it was Not a Good Day

These are kinda-sorta leftover doodles that've been hanging around that I want Somewhere#The first two are anyway the latter two are actually vent-adjacent lol#First two first!#I always prattle on about how perfect I think Charm's design is but agh her balance of flat and 3D shapes are so fun to me#My notes make sense to me but they are pretty all over the place so let's see if I can clarify lol#The numbers are how many pop-out features she has - anything that doesn't share a plane with her body (her head/torso/arms/legs)#So things like her hair - her glasses - the collar of her shirt but not the shirt itself since that's flush with her torso#Think like constructing a pattern where the clothes are part of the doll itself rather than removable articles#And while her hair is flush with what would be her body it's still an ''extra'' shape! Hopefully that makes sense lol#Anyhow - the dashes are flat features like her collar or the tops of her shoes on her thighs - they pop out but are flat shapes#As opposed to pop-outs like her bon-bons or her wings! Those are very 3D! The bon-bons are spheres and her wings are thin but not flat#I think she has a lovely distribution of flat and 3D pop-outs :D Considering she was designed with 3D in mind! Which I've gotten away from#Probably as evidenced by my difficulty coming up with her TVAU design pfftbl#I do still really like the idea of the dark stripes for her legs and scales for her body - and I canNot let that teardrop jewel design go#Oh and TVAU wings /are/ flat! something we have discussed is how dennis was the only one who could understand mac and that's great but can we also discuss how it must feel for mac that no one can understand him
this seems to be accentuated by how off he keeps being about things (offering of war/dennis being shot being "awesome"/being unable to read subtext both with dennis ["figure of speech"] and donald) and how much he's looking for a sense of meaning that he used to find in his identity until s15 made him realize how pointless it was (in a way that reminds me of his crisis in goes to hell 2...), but legacy, history, money and prizes are worth nothing if your heart is not in it.
and in a way I think dennis is coming to the same conclusion which is why he's the only one who can understand mac.
dennis "you're just being honest about how you feel" reynolds, so concerned with authenticity and upset by the perceived lies when it's just his own denial making it that way. that's building the biggest lie of all.
if we're looking for the Point, then the point is to have fun and embrace feelings. Big Mo already showed this.
it's interesting to me how it seems that mac and dennis are working off of each other in the way sunny works as a whole. because if mac is the structure and the text, and dennis is the subtext and the jokes (it's how he's trying to communicate in inflates but it's also the whole reason he comes with mac in madbu), they kinda NEED to be working together for the show to work... they need to find their harmonies, they can't just one or the other lead, they gotta have each other's back.
and also like, a small coda. this season deals so much with nostalgia vs how the past really was, there's so many flashbacks.
becoming aware of denial and reality can feel really upsetting but ultimately it's a positive development.
if "the hair is a lie" chopping off the head isn't the answer, that was the old way of doing things (in times of war... murder, betrayal, beheadings... "we figured out what works a long time ago"), but now we're looking for peace. basically, death isn't the answer. building your legacy doesn't have to be like pulling teeth. "this doesn't have to be a scam"
it's a good thing if we start seeing things for what they actually are, because it means less denial.

#ive been running around stuck on Babysitter Duty for the past three days and the teacher only gave us any instructions on thursday yet#somehow expected a full paper done and edited by sunday. even if i wasnt stuck on babysitter duty she'd get a shitty paper just due to how#little TIME that is to get things done. but because i am on babysitter duty uhhh..... well so far there's no paper#ive been spending practically full days having to take care of my sister and i cant just Ignore Her so i havent done my paper while watchin#her because again: my focus needs to be on Her. and shes incredibly loud which makes it super hard to focus. fun combo /s#so i was like 'i'll just stay up Really Late and do it then' but that hasn't worked because my sister WONT GO TO BED if im awake. i was up#until 4am last night hoping she'd fall asleep and shut up and i could work but Nope!#and then i got too tired to even care anymore#i've tried explaining this to others and they're just like 'ok well you just need to find a way to make it work :/' which is very much#easier said than done! and im scared about this paper because this teacher doesnt accept late work at all for pretty much any reason#and im sure she wont understand my situation. because shes also the teacher that didnt understand that i didnt have the textbook on time#because it was still being shipped and i dont control the rate at which book ships and she was like#'..........okay well you still need to have the book by tomorrow at least <3' when i told her the book had Just shipped and idk when i'd ge#the dumb thing. so yknow i dont have high hopes about this#also just as extra 'make stuff more difficult' i have zero accommodations because my mom cant keep track of my fucking IEPs and they wont#let me have accommodations unless i have that and idk how to get a copy anymore. so i've also been running around with no help in that area#and it's not great </3#idk im just stressed out and frustrated and i Want To Cry :)#vent

I’m fascinated about the oc stuff you mentioned! I only recently (within the last year) started creating oc’s so I’ve not really thought about creating images of them. I pretty much just save stock photos and photos of celebrities that resemble what I’m imagining, but that can be a pain. I’d love to hear more tips (as well as hearing about some of your oc’s if you’d like to share!)

It's cool to hear that you're getting into oc stuff, making up little guys is so much fun! You'll have to tell me about yours sometime! I gotta admit though, saving stock and celebrity photos sounds like a hassle :/ I can't imagine what you'd do for a non-human oc…
If you're interested, I have a ton of picrew links I can share (and obviously I can give you ones with more specific aesthetics if you have something in mind, versus just dumping a truckload of random links on you).
I also really like using Heroforge (D&D Minifugre website) to make ocs (D&D related or not). They update pretty regularly so there's always better options (especially for non-human ocs) and colors for more specific customizations. It's especially cool because if you decide you really like it, you can buy your oc as a minifigure (but you can still use the site/save your oc even without buying anything)!

Lately, I've been focusing on my batch of Minecraft ocs. I was supposed to join a big rp server, but that fell apart so now I'm just 'writing' it all myself. It's been really fun, and I like being able to build an intricate story and characters from a pre-set template that comes with making ocs within a pre-existing world/ruleset (It's just much easier on my busy brain for when I'm not working on my actual original writing or whatever XP). But because of this, I've also been making full Minecraft skins for those ocs. It's pretty much just pixel art, and I am nowhere near the levels of some of the proffesional skin-makers out there, but I've made some pretty cool stuff if I do say so myself!
TL;DR I am not good at art, but my imagination is very hyperactive, so having some of these online resources has helped a ton in just getting something out into the world.
I am more than happy to share site links and answer any questions you have about navigating them if you wanna dm me!
I'd also loove to talk about all my ocs more, but I know that can be a lot for a tumblr ask…especially if tumblr keeps eating them >:(

Guess who fucked her wrists up during work because he refused to go on a single break because he felt like that's the only way to prove she's not useless since her autism stops her from doing anything a person his age "should" do

So, I was just adding stuff to my ideas notes/lists (for scenarios I want to draw in the future + whatever OC ideas I have so I don't forget them later), and I accidentally got a little TOO into this Mourynn and Faolain scene that was originally just meant to be a funny and snarky jest exchange. But uh, it suddenly went a lot gayer than I was expecting, and now I REALLY wanna work on it laskjdflaskj (this is Firstborn era stuff before the Secondborn exist, for a bit of context)
(I mean, I'm still doing two big WIPs atm, and I don't wanna get caught in never ending WIP hell, but HNNG I really wanna do this... I COULD give myself three WIPs... how many WIPs is the minimum needed requirement needed to properly qualify for WIP hell...? I can get away with one more, right??? )

it was really wild to figure out at age 22 that i am not actually an introvert at all i fucking LOVE having people around i thrive on someone sitting in the same room as me i love talking and listening. its just that i autistic so i am also constantly at all times doing the equivalent of playing minecraft with 358384 mods installed in order to try and figure out what the fuck anyone means and if they are mad at me and that is absolutely exhausting and it totally wipes me out for like 3 hours afterwards. when i hang out w people who dont have those expectations i actually experience a net gain in energy
#gardening buddy is my best autism friend we just go dig weeds and never make eye contact for 3 hours at a time and it rules#but 1 time gardening buddy was over so we both had our guards down and husbirde got a little impatient because we needed to leave at 4:30#and he poked his head outside and was like 'do you guys know what time it is?'#and immediately both of us were like oh! let me get my phone#hold on uhhhh its almost 4! :) i hope that was helpful!#without reading into the statement whatsoever#he said later that he realized that normally both of us would have caught that#but we didnt at all this time and he was like 'you guys looked so happy and calm and u werent even thinking about extra hidden meaning'#'so i totally stopped being frustrated and was just like like ah. i'm the asshole okay im gonna go back inside and let them finish' rksjfkf

sorry but like if my schedule isn't given to me until two weeks in advance sometimes not even then i feel like i should be able to call out w no penalties like.... a week in advance. but at my job even if i request time off MONTHS in advance it's not always guaranteed. like that is literally enough time for you to hire and train someone to cover for me. it's actually insane
#i'm sick rn so like. it's not like getting the schedule ahead of time or anything like that would help me rn but. i wouldn't CURRENTLY have#a strike on my record from calling out for an event i literally requested time off for um. more than 3 months in advance?#if i could fucking. get guaranteed time off. literally all i want is to be able to request off like. 3 months ahead of time. that's totally#reasonable but if a bunch of people also want it and request it 6 months ahead of time... i'm not getting it#but i just feel like. idk we have a huge company and so little time off availability? i swear only like 4 ppl can request off on one day#before we start getting waitlisted. anyway idk it's not like#the attendance policy is that strict like if i called out now i wouldn't be at risk of getting fired but i would be getting like some#additional disciplinary action. so because i feel like vaguely okay enough to work i AM but i fucking probably shouldn't and it's definitely#going to take way longer to get better bc i'm constantly talking on the phone with a sore throat. idk man it's just frustrating i've been#frustrated forever abt how hard it is to make any plans around this job but it's just extra frustrating rn bc i KNEW. if i called out for#that concert bc they wouldn't give me the time off and then i got sick or smth later and couldn't call out bc of it i would be so pissed...
