sasuke already has an actual brother. sasuke never has and never does behave towards naruto like he did towards itachi pre or post massacre. there is nothing between them that can be mistaken as familial affection. at all. he already has/had a family and doesn’t want “another one”

besides they in their own words canonically define their relationship as more than friends but not like brothers. they only mention the brother thing earlier on and then their understanding of their relationship evolves and it’s never mentioned again.

the entire damn series revolves around naruto trying to define his feelings for sasuke and sasuke repeatedly asking him “why am i so important what am i to you (please admit it)” but shounen can’t explicitly be gay so there you have it.

it’s basically screaming “we have a deep and romantic connection” without explicitly stating it. and there are a lotttttttt of clues and there’s a lot of proof. to the point that it’s basically slapping you in the face

y'know. i really think that like... people need to calm down and stop experiencing other people interpreting their fave ship differently or disliking it as an attack on the ship itself. i've seen a lot of posts recently about how like... 1. someone else's interpretation of the dynamic of their ship is making them personally feel a little weird and instead of curating your experience they are projecting their weird feelings onto that person and making it their problem when all they did is have a different take. which is ironically what they are accusing that person of doing. somebody having a familial interpretation of your ship does not mean that person thinks you are Doing Incest lmao grow up.

1.5. they saw someone express on their own blog that they feel weird about the ship or don't like it because of their personal interpretation of it, which is familial in tone, while saying nothing at all about people who DO ship that ship and enjoy it. the post is only about the op's personal feelings based on their interpretation. and for some reason decided 'i am being attacked' as a response to this.

2. that was blatant ragebait or a one-off post by someone with a lot of really big weird feelings and they are now holding everyone in the fandom accountable for one (1) weird guy they should've just blocked and ignored.

Hello !! I just want to say about shadsou that I don't think calling it ableist is okay like, at all. The incest in Genealogy is so weird because in Generation 1 the only incest possible (unless i missed a secret convo somewhere) is Doomed Unrequited Love with Lachesis and Evil Incest Ritual plotted by the baddies. And then you get to Gen 2 and it is cousin boinking central. So many possible cousin pairs. If you marry Lex to Ayra, Larcei will fall for her first cousin (one of whom is a decade older) without player intervention. Nanna and Ares have a unique lover conversation, taking out any plausible deniability of an oversight. Like this game makes the gene pool of your average fates gen 2 look stable when you imagine what the gen 3 must be like. (also for the record i'm on chapter 8 so there may yet be new frontiers of incest in this game)
