HOW JONSA HAPPENED IN 8X2 WITHOUT US REALIZING IT

EDIT: Clearly the show proved me wrong by ep.4, but i refuse to delete this post because I still think it makes more sense than to believe they didn’t talk before the battle. Also, their consummation before the NK’s attack is one of my old theory from the books, so let’s see if this will turn out to be an Easter Egg… By the way, thank you all for your likes and comments!

So, I finally had a rewatch of episode 2 and I really can’t believe how badly we’ve been tricked... right in front of our own eyes… This is THE Jonsa episode, and they hid it behind the omage to all the characters.

Buckle up now and let’s start from where they left, namely Sansa posing a question:

While the camera closes up to Jon we hear a door opening: it is the link to the next scene with Jorah and Dany, but also, as by now we are all accustomed to, it is symbolic, because the last time we saw a door opening was on that boat.

What is clear here, is that Sansa knows what they’re doing, to Jon’s dismay because I suppose he was sure he was hiding it well… That’s why he swallows, that’s why he looks guilty, almost like a lover caught cheating. So if you think he doesn’t answer her, you are wrong, because the door is open now, and he can’t just close it and pretend nothing happened.

And I’d go as far as to say that here they’re also acknowledging the tension between them, which they never address but that we’ve been told they have been skirting around since season 7, so they know it’s there: she has teary eyes and is heartbroken, he looks guilty and he's heartbroken too because she is hurt. The door is definitely open.

So, excluding the possibility that he lies to her face since it’d go against what they showed of their relationship in the episode, especially in this scene (if you think he lies when he says SHE’LL BE A GOOD QUEEN, that’s not a lie, and if you listen carefully to Jon’s mind, what he adds is a loud I’LL MAKE CERTAIN OF THAT…), we have only two options:

- he tells her that he’s not in love with D, implying that he’s just sleeping with her and that that has not clouded his judgment;

- he tells her about political Jon.

The opening of ep. 2 gives us the answer:

Sansa is upset for what happened with Jaime of course, but Brienne vouched for him, her own mother had trusted him… Her reaction is mostly of disrespect towards Daenerys, which means that she still doesn’t know the truth and so she is angry both because she’s in love and because she still believes Jon doesn’t think straight. How else could it be? She read this Queen at first glance, why didn’t he do the same? If she is an ally, why did he bend the knee? And if she’s a good queen, why does she acts like… that?

Since it’s been established that Sansa is clever, and knowing she trusts him and has faith in him, as she confirmed to him, the only reason why she can’t make sense of that, is that her mind is full of love and jealousy and anger and hurt and she can barely contain it in front of her.

And then comes this beautiful played moment between her and Daenerys.

As many of you already discussed, this is when Sansa finally can put two and two together, when finally everything makes sense. And you can see all the emotions displayed on her face: she is happy and relieved because Jon is not in love, he’s not been manipulated, he is the manipulator. But most importantly, she’s proud, which is something we have to take into consideration to understand what’s about to happen, because it means, especially after that impossible level of tension in the office, that now we should expect Sansa to go straight to talk to him: they are too straightforward with each other to avoid confrontation, more than that they need it. And she needs it immediately because of what she feels. And once this truth is out, do you think Jon would be able not to tell her about his real parents? Not a chance! And if the last barrier between them falls, after what we saw in the office scene, what do you think will happen?

And the confrontation does in fact happen, they simply don’t show it to us, preferring toast to them with clues spread all over the episode, following their usual favourite shock value path.

Starting from the war council: if you look attentively, you’ll notice that not once, not even for a tiny beat, Jon and Sansa look at each other.

In the first episode we’ve been shown this

nevertheless, not once they look at each other during the entire scene.

Jon looks at Bran and Arya, Sansa looks at Bran and, completely ignoring Jon next to her, she looks at Arya, but they don’t look at each other and they don’t talk to each other. It makes sense if we assume that Jon, knowing he’s not her brother, the last wall helping him keeping a minimum distance, is embarrassed to look at her. But Sansa? She’s not angry anymore, we saw she’s proud, and she understands now that everything he did is for the North, so why wouldn’t she look at him?

And they are both hiding something: Jon has his gloves on and Sansa has the same posture she had with D, with her arms crossed behind her back. At a certain point Jon even seems to turn to her but immediately stops himself like he is about to do something he shouldn’t do. Why?

Also, they’re always blocked together, establishing that they are indeed a couple, but while in the Great Hall their chairs were practically glued together, and in the office they end up very close, here there’s always a safe little distance between them.

And then this happens:

This is the most close to “looking at each other” they do, and it’s subtly. Jon’s saying:

”LET’S GET SOME REST.”

Do you see Sansa carefully looking at him out of the corner of her eye? I say that she’s thinking of whatever they are going to do, except rest, in the Lord’s chambers…

Do you think I’m seeing things? Look at the boldness of D&D&co, what they shamelessly show us:

The Bear has entered the Castle!

This is not the right post to talk about it, but yeah, the bear is Jon.

Now let’s go back to the previous scenes to search for the hints, thanks to the other characters, of what happened after S&D little chat.

THEON AND SANSA REUNION:

If you think this is framed as romantic you are absolutely right, but it’s not forshadowing a love story between them, this is both a reminder of Castle Black reunion and a preview of what will happen the moment Sansa will be with Jon, far away from our eyes: a new reunion after she found out the truth, and it’s not a case that this hug resembles the one we all remember, with Theon being a stand in for Jon, like many times in the books and the show too.

Actually, Theon has one of the best political Jon forshadowing that we had on screen. Do you remember when he returns home by ship? He has sex with the Captain’s daughter and she falls in love with him. But he’s only using her, he even tells her that she could be pregnant with his child, a king’s bastard son. Then he arrives at Pyke and his sister is waiting for him…

TORMUND AND JON REUNION:

This is another enactment of Jon and Sansa reunion, from Jon’s pov this time: Tormund, a tall red head, hugs him and calls him LITTLE CROW, and you remember that S&D joked about his short height, right? Then Jon tells him HE THOUGHT HE LOST HIM because the Wall has fallen, or the door has been opened in our case; also, KH is purposefully staring at Tormund’s lips!

But happily reunion apart, there is more: Jon changed his jacket. This happened in episode 1 too, establishing a precedent: after having sex at the Waterfalls, he changes his clothes before going to talk to Sansa. And I think the same thing happened here, only he changed his clothes after talking to Sansa… plus, do you see how ill-fitting and consumed the jacket is?

This is not the only time we see something like this, and there is a reason here too: I believe this is Ned’s (it doesn’t look like the one he wore in ep.1), and probably Sansa gave it to him after he told her about his parents, not to let him forget who made him the man he is or doubt who he is, a Stark.

GREY WORM AND MISSANDEI

There are many gifs with good parallels to Jonsa, plus they had sex for the first time before a battle. Here GW performs his version of Jon’s I’LL PROTECT YOU, just in case we forgot: “My people will protect you”.

ARYA AND GENDRY REUNION:

The parallel between these two couples has been established in the first episode

but here they go even further, because before having sex Gendry reveals to Arya who his real father is. Could it be more obvious?

JAIME KNIGHTING BRIENNE WITH HIS SWORD:

I remember many gifs paralleling them to Jon and Sansa, and they are all valid, but in the books there is an important moment that helps us understand better what we have here: when they were going to King’s Landing they had a sword fight. J cut B with his sword on her “upper thigh” and a “red flower blossomed”. The scene is described with a double meaning, alluding at J breaking her maidenhead with his “sword”.

Jaime using his sword to knight B has a sexual innuendo, and if you have any doubt, you should remember what Tormund says, and the expression on his face:

“I’M NO KING, BUT IF I WERE, I’D KNIGHT YOU TEN TIMES OVER”

Well, that’s exactly what King Jon and Sansa are doing right now!

JENNY OF OLDSTONE

I think we all know that this is a reference to Sansa and to what will happen to her and Jon, but let me add something about her leather dragonfly outfit: for those of you who don’t know, in the books Jon’s LONGCLAW has a virgin leather grip (Sansa is still a maid in the books, thanks to God no marriage with Ramsey there) and it is sheathed in leather… I don’t think I need to explain why they chose this particular episode to have Sansa covered in leather.

came from a super small town in upstate new york where there wasn’t much to do or much to see, so growing up she had an adventurous streak that would run rampant when she was able to go off by herself, able to drive, and finally able to leave it behind

and yes, i’m kinda basing this off of the antics of adults from my hometown, what about it ??

she spent most of her formative years with her head in the clouds and music always around her or on her mind

so you bet she wound up taking guitar and piano lessons when she was a kid and well into her teens, and dare i say she was pretty good at it fsdglkjgdf

having that skill gave her the boost of confidence she needed from middle school onward, having been a tad reserved before then

idk what else to add bc i honestly can’t think of anything else about her past Before moving away. dull as hell probably, more than it’s already been said LKGSDF

upon moving to the city, she attended nyu just to keep her parents from completely losing their minds over her not.. wanting to go on a sure path, majoring in communications and spending much of her time as a dj for the campus radio station’s late night shows

soon began searching for dj gigs at major radio stations once she’d graduated and landed a spot as an intern to meet with artists the station wished to interview, etc, and even had an opportunity or two to interview them herself

through that job, she became more exposed to the groupie lifestyle and — having always been somewhat intrigued — soon became one ( of sorts )

sorry if you’re a fan of h*lsey bc this might come across as a dig, but this is where she becomes the chill version of groupie!h*lsey that h*lsey wishes she had been DFLSKJDGSFL

she liked the attention from drummers, singers and rappers alike — plus having sex with talented, rich people whenever they were in town didn’t hurt one bit — and she kept it all separate from her job, although it did help the station land more interviews, tickets for contests, etc

wasn’t big on hard drugs, but she never shied away from a bong being handed to her or a couple of xanax tablets, just so we’re clear here sdflkgjfdgk

however, the no-strings set-up quickly shifted for dahlia upon meeting a rising indie band’s lead singer

he was smooth as hell, which she already knew alongside his tendency to get bored easily with fangirls-turned-groupies like the rest of the musicians she’d met, so when she played along with his game, it didn’t take long for him to maintain an interest in her and for them to forge something of a friendship

she’d never admit it to anyone, but he was her first love as the initial sexual attraction very quickly became romantic after long conversations about music and aspirations, mundane happenings in their lives separate from their encounters and who should’ve won immunity on the recent ep of masterchef; dia knew he wouldn’t settle down now and she knew that while she was his number one at that point, she wasn’t the only one he had. a couple of months passed where it seemed like he was going only to her, that his interest rarely waned to the other girls that would swarm him, which led her to believe he was at least somewhat into her and to her confessing when they were both drunk one night — only to be shut down but not shut out

dejected and heartbroken, she still couldn’t quite distance herself from him like she knew she should and the front she put up — that she exaggerated her feelings and would get over it — made him none the wiser

however, he couldn’t get over the thought of his fwb still being in love with him and cut ties with her abruptly before his nth departure from nyc

it took her right out of her bubble, left a horrible taste in her mouth to even go back to being a groupie for others over how poorly it all went with him, so she abandoned the sexual aspect and potential intimacy of it — but not before taking herself completely out of that lifestyle for a few months to get over him

which.. lbr, she’s only 90% of the way there to this day sfdlkkdfsgl

upon going back, she showed up to shows and parties solely as a friend of the performer.... before that got old Quick and she realized how soul-sucking it was for her sexually frustrated And repressed ass KFSLJGS

though ask her pals and they’d think she’d given it up altogether, hence her supposedly being reformed

.. at least she isn’t indulging in drugs like she occasionally used to, so that counts for something lksdfjlgdf

as for her time in radio, she got promoted to a morning slot as a dj with a couple of co-hosts last year, though once an afternoon slot opened, she high-tailed it out of there

anything to get back to her chill, late night roots and this was the first step

lastly, she moved to avalon bay 2 years ago, after uni was done and she had to move out of the dorms. in that time, she’d become best friends with another girl and had a massive falling out bc the other was. well. changing for the worst sgfjgfd

she became selfish, judgmental, advantageous and disloyal, and soon dia had enough of her hypocritical and generally nasty antics ( and not without a brutal argument that left both of their egos bruised )

dahlia isn’t always one for petty revenge, but when the ex-bff’s roommate and crush — who dia had a slight interest in as well — bumped into her in the hallway of their dorm one night, she took her chance to knock the other down a peg by initiating a flirtatious conversation that quickly turned sexual

with her ex-bff being on the other side of the wall of said roommate’s room

safe to say that their ( final ) conversation in the morning was a fucking disaster SDFLGKJGFDK

it’s not something she’s entirely ashamed about, but dia doesn’t feel the need to disclose what happened

PERSONALITY AND OTHER SHIT

she loves her friends, would die for them, would kill for them. let’s get that straight first and foremost !

does that mean she’s the nicest or even the most tolerable person ?? fuck no SFGLJGKDF

i described her to one of my pals as a “ chaotic free-spirit with a mean streak when she doesn’t get her way, ” which. could also describe a couple of my bitchier muses tbh FLDKGJDS

but she’s stubborn, irritable and has a sense of high self-worth and self-preservation

she obviously has an attitude that can and will come out if you hurt her or someone she cares about/someone she thinks doesn’t deserve it

or if you think you’re a god or something

and it can get ugly.. as explained above dfskgdgkf

however, we love confident women on this blog and here you have one !

she’s chill for the most part, so you ( probably ) won’t have anything to worry about if you stay on her good side gfsdkljgfd

passionate af about radio and music as a career, wants to have a gig like zane lowe’s beats hosting job or even annie mac’s one day

although she also wishes to put out music of her own at least Once before she dies dfgsljdfgk

bit of a wild child, likes to party and just do her own thing — partially bc she’s scared of getting older and having to give that all up/being forced to act her age

i have this lingering suspicion that the 92k mess that is imperfections has a tendency of bumping up my word count, but also i’ve been writing particularly A Lot this year. so. yikes. this’ll be a mess

Links and Titles to 2018 Works (buckle up kids)

ten questions for new year’s eve (6,669 words) lonely s4 giles meets jenny on new year’s eve. basically fluff laced with some light angst, which i think set the tone for most of my writing this year

forever (4,738 words) some assorted femslash ficlets from tumblr that i immediately forgot about after february. it of course got buried under a deluge of jenny fic but there’s still some cute stuff there! i had a lot of fun in particular writing about bb willow and the beginnings of her attraction to girls

she’s your destiny (9,560 words) AHHHHHH I FORGOT I WROTE THIS. blessings of writing This Much. soulmate au with buffy/willow and giles/jenny where like. none of them are soulmates but they fall crazy in love anyway.

the happy-ending bouquet (3,851 words) set in 2018. giles and jenny have been married for something like 15 years and are still very happy and in love. basically just an endless deluge of fluff

personas (2,729 words) hhhhh i hesitate to count this as a 2018 fic, because i technically posted it in summer 2017 and then deleted it for reasons unknown (even to me). but there aren’t enough fics that explore jenny’s fractured sense of identity and her broken heart and i love my girl so much. so. wrote that.

something real (2,173 words) my valentine’s day fic!! a friend and i share the headcanon that jenny would have finally shoved her way back into giles’s heart if not for the love spell throwing her off, so. wrote a fic where that happened, albeit somewhat angstily.

direct, but not unwelcome (4,478 words) this fic always makes me cringe, a little; the office verse was written largely for faith and tara, and writing giles and jenny in it was a decision i don’t entirely like (mostly bc there really is no narrative place for either of them). but it has a few good lines ig?

putting a ring on it (2,370 words) giles and jenny proposal fic!! a little wobbly in places imo but still so fun to write. those two deserve all the fluff

the second choice soulmates (6,942 words) the inevitable faith/tara sequel to the soulmate au!! i had it planned from the second i started writing the first fic in that series, and i had a lot of fun with it. in which faith and tara have to deal with their soulmates being in love with each other, and end up falling in love themselves.

nightmares and the aftermath (1,205 words) the first fic i wrote in the ripper au! ripper has a nightmare; jenny talks him through it.

the inherent complexity of falling in love (3,519 words) more soulmate au nonsense!! this time with solely giles and jenny!!

let’s stay together (857 words) i say that this is “a series of vignettes in which ben, ann, and leslie are dating” but really it’s just one. i’ve kept it in bc i really wanna write more than one. ben/leslie/ann is such a blessed ship and there are no fics for it! which is ridiculous! because they really should all be dating!! leslie has two hands y’all

moments of connection in an uncertain world (3,351 words) the olivia/jenny fic that set that amazing ship on its course. set in asoue; jenny’s identity in the narrative is ambiguous bc jenny’s identity in every narrative is ambiguous. mystery bicon

amends (remixed) (2,988 words) i’m like 99 percent sure i spite-wrote this fic after watching amends bc that really seems like something i would do. in which ghost jenny makes sure buffy, angel, and giles all know that she doesn’t blame them for a single thing.

it’s a family affair (11 chapters) jenny, married to giles and mom to two daughters, loses her memory. i meant for this to be an exploration of jenny and giles’s relationship + jenny as a character, but with hindsight i feel like i kinda rushed it. maybe someday i’ll come back and expand this a little?

maybe i’m in love (24 chapters) CRIES. this fic was posted all in one day and got buried under the deluge of fic i wrote this year and i am still so sad that it remains forgotten. even by me. like i forgot it existed till now. but it is the treasure of my heart and i am still not sure what i can possibly do for calendiles day 2019 that will even come close to “slow burn giles/jenny series rewrite in script format.”

dragonslayers (8,048 words) i go back and forth between whether adding a sequel to a sappy-happy-ending fic was actually needed, but i had a lot of fun writing jenny and anya and tara being friends and adopting a dog. those girls deserve so much better.

tech support (1,315 words) jenny works at angel investigations, and giles meets her when he and buffy drive up to la to get a book. unabashed fluff.

family ties (2,294 words) giles introduces jenny to his dad and the aunts. i had giles call himself “rupert” for the entire fic and forgot to explain why i made the choice to do so (and there was a damn good reason!!!) so every time i see this fic....Regret™

i like you (992 words) the product of me realizing “wait, i never wrote a fic about my Very Specific Headcanon that giles and jenny had sex after school hard!!!” and then going ahead and writing that fic. not explicit; lots of giles and jenny being dumb and in love

take me now! (3,460 words) the sister fic to my other jenny/olivia fic! in this one, jenny’s a watcher and olivia’s the sweet librarian who has her all blushy.

the grieving process (9,771 words) this fic! was! such a trip to write! i wanted to write something where giles’s s6 issues were confronted. originally i wrote a jenny’s-alive fic where he goes to her place in la after leaving buffy in tabula rasa, but the mood of that fic was miserable and hostile, so i changed things ever so slightly. and then it became “giles goes to jenny after buffy dies,” and that transitioned into “giles actually finally gets to have an outlet for his emotions,” and then it became a very soft fic that i love very much.

unsolved mysteries (1,704 words) a modern jackaby au! where jenny cavanaugh has trauma-related anxiety and eats pretzels w jackaby in a hall closet! surprisingly soft.

the cleanup crew (2,968 words) post-ted; buffy calls jenny and giles in to help her with ted’s robot body. because that ep was a hot mess and too many things were tied up too fast.

princess charming (2,754 words) written thanks to a throwaway line from the grieving process! about jenny saving fred in pylea! @theforestlesbian mentioned in a review that this fic came off as “the adventures of jenny” and that was the best compliment ever.

untraditional, unconditional (4,223 words) ripper au! ripper and jenny get married! i don’t think i will ever write a better calendiles wedding than this one.

gettin’ bi (1,215 words) jenny and giles come out to each other. that’s really it.

intimacy (1,058 words) some root/shaw fluff. g o sh at some point i really should finish poi huh

the battle’s done (and we kind of won) (5,026 words) post-chosen; jenny inexplicably comes back from the dead, and giles works thru the messy aftermath of s7.

chaos, vengeance, love (1,412 words) giles’s exes talk over his grave. (and yes, i do mean jenny and ethan.)

buffy summers, muggle-born (6,075 words) buffy goes to hogwarts! this was meant to set the scene for a loosely connected string of fics, but i could never decide whether i wanted them to be chaptered fics or oneshots. i do have like 3 large chapters saved to my computer, tho :/

a eulogy (920 words) jenny calendar, as told by how she’s remembered.

survivors’ guilt (4,690 words) in which giles dies instead of jenny, and jenny and buffy deal with it poorly. my only problem w this fic is that i really wish i’d explored the messy aftermath of what might have happened if jenny had brought giles back. 2019 project y/y?

regarding honor and honesty in the workplace (43 chapters) CRIES IN JENNY/LILAH. given that i did not shut up about this fucking fic for a good 3 months, i don’t think it needs a summary.

maybe we could have a thing (3,184 words) giles and jenny’s first date!! canon told us they went out beforehand and it really did need to be ficced.

the most important words (2,753 words) passion fix-it! how many of these have i written dfshlsdhdf. anyway, by some lucky stroke, jenny doesn’t die, but she’s understandably kind of a mess. giles tries to help.

very really married (6 chapters) THIS I WILL FINISH IN 2019. FOR REALS. i have too many unpublished chapters on my laptop to NOT finish it. set in s1; giles and jenny get drunk married in las vegas pre-canon. which, of course, adds a whole new level of complexity to both of giles’s new jobs.

coping (2,611 words) i really wanted to write about jenny and eyghon, bc there are like 0 fics that address the absolute mess that canon throws at that woman. so i did. very angsty with no clear happy ending, bc that’s what happens when you write canon compliant fic about jenny calendar.

yours (2,747 words) my first foray into writing phryne and jack! and, if the 4k-and-counting wip is anything to go by, definitely not my last. 2018 brought me a lot of things, but watching mfmm all the way through was definitely one of the best.

family ties (2,640 words) catch me crying about river and the ponds for the rest of my life, probably. centered around river’s graduation from luna university and her relationship with her parents.

making things right (1,060 words) passion fix-it that came to me when i thought “what if jenny survived, but didn’t even care that she’d almost died, bc what really mattered was that she’d fixed things with giles and buffy?? lmao how badly would that fuck giles up, knowing that she placed earning his trust over her own life???” and then i wrote it bc i love pain

bless her soul (6,294 words) s3. jenny comes back wrong. lots of explorations of the guilt that buffy, giles, and angel harbored for jenny’s death, with none of the pain of using jenny solely as a mouthpiece for evil. so like. amends done right.

dear friend (1 chapter, so far) a you’ve got mail calendiles au that i really do intend to work on some more in 2019.

haunted (15,622 words) WHAT a note to end 2018 on. a (mostly) non-supernatural au in which jenny, after an intense & awful trauma, leaves sunnydale and buys a ridiculously inexpensive mansion in england. why was it so cheap? because giles, the ghost who lives there, has been scaring off buyers. naturally, jenny is not easily rattled.

Favorite Fic: it’s hard to choose bc i wrote so many but for now i’ll pick bless her soul. writing the-first-as-jenny and playing up scooby guilt while still getting to bring jenny back for a happy ending??? that was just so much fun.

Hardest Fic: very really married. absolutely. i was in a v weird place while writing that fic, so that certainly didn’t help, but that fic has been giving me Trouble since i started writing it.

EXO Theory Pt. 5.75 - Parallel Universe

So, we had eclipse and now we have parallel universe. Bitch, I’m hyped up and ready to rumble with EXO for the rest of my life, this shit interesting. Let’s start analysing the crap outta this 20 second thing!

So, let’s start at the beginning of this teaser. We are introduced to EXO Planet Ep. 2641, which looks an awful lot like a comic book themed thing - likely the comic we see Suho reading. There’s a great theory about the significance of this number 2641 here, and I very much agree with it, and to expand on it, with regard to parallel universes, (since been deleted :o) I’d like to assume that this Parallel Universe will be set at the time of this eclipse, so in the future, and actually, the Eclipse from the teaser last week is the eclipse from this point in 2019.

However, it’s important to remember that (although he’s no longer in EXO) we once had a Guardian who had the ability to bend time, and therefore space. So, time is non linear in this storyline, for the most part. If Tao were still here we could really explore this a whole lot more, but as such... we still have Kai! Anyway, I’ll come back to this point in a sec, I’m just kind of enforcing the point that although it’s in the future, as this is a different Universe... it doesn’t necessarily mean that in the usual timeline - which is why in the Sequence of Events above, Parallel Universe is in 2 points.

And back to the actual clip. I think it’s kind of interesting what each member’s doing in this video.

We have Suho reading an EXO ‘The War’ comic (once more gaining new information, like in Overdose~), Sehun throwing one of those balls the members had in that bonus video, and in ‘The War’ postcards as well (this is clearly connecting these members to the ones with superpowers in the comic). Chanyeol staring into a cup is the least interesting.. I really have very little idea what this could be representing. D.O and Xiu are playing Jenga - very very clearly insinuating control, and of being the builders. Literally the builders of the dream world that the EXO Members are trapped in (remember, Xiu is the archive of information in this story, and Soo the eyes!)

Chen and Kai are also playing a game, but a video game. I think this is meaningful but honestly I don’t know how to really explain it at this point. I might come back to it in another part. The most important member to look at here though, is Baekhyun. We see Baek spinning a globe and then placing his hand underneath the light and holding the same hand back on the Earth. Excuse me, but is this not exactly the sequence of Light over the Earth, light being blocked out by an object (hand here), Light back over the Earth. An eclipse?

Hmm? And then, right after this moment, they all turn to the door.

So, this is a parallel universe, a parallel set of EXO members, a parallel set of Guardians. Who are all together, not separated. Except for one member. Lay.

I put the first part of this idea after KoKoBop... seems obvious, but I have other reasons. Remember the flashing sepia toned memories I spoke about in Part 5? Well, there was something very important hidden in them, I thought.

Firstly, ignore the Baek one, but focus on the Kai one. It’s not just me that sees an 8 flash very quickly, only for one frame, is it? At the end of RomUni we see Kai drive off in the car at the end, as he is gaining some control of the situation they’re in. And, Lay is one of Kai’s counterparts, as seen in Lucky One. I have quite a bit to say about Kai in KKB tbh (and just generally... I’ll never finish writing down my full theory I really don’t think I will) but I do think he’s being quite rebellious during this MV. I think with this flashing 8 he’s telling their captors.. oh there was only 8 of us you needed, which is obviously not true... as witnessed by...

See that 9? Hmm, well, if you remember I said that D.O was likely very suspicious of Lay and Baek during RomUni because they were never tested like the rest of them. Well, tbh, I never knew exactly why these two weren’t tested, except to make the members doubt each other, or because perhaps Lay and Baek were like... on the edge of the dream like thing, and not fully captured? And tbh, this has answered so many questions regarding this! That’s exactly what happened; Baek and Lay were not fully captured at this point. And if that’s not suspicious to all-not-really-knowing-but-somewhat-knowing Soo what is? So he’s saying... actually not there are 9 of us assholes, where the hell’s Lay?

Knock knock, who’s there?

Well hello there, it’s a fucking eclipse in an eye. Where have I seen something stupidly similar before?

Oh but wait...that also looks familiar..?

Why do we keep getting close ups of Lay’s right eye? And why is there always an eclipse seen in them?? What’s going on? Well, what I reckon is that Lay is the one who comes in at this point of the Parallel Universe clip when everyone looks to the camera. (This doesn’t necessarily mean I think he’s in the comeback because I doubt it but anyway!). The reason for this is because of his absence in KKB storywise, the 8 and 9 thing above, and the fact we have seen Lay three freaking times now, with an eclipse mirrored in his eye! I think that Lay is very significant in the eclipse narrative. In the last post about the Eclipse teaser, I spoke about how I thought Baekhyun was a representative of the sun in an eclipse, as his power is light. We see a lot of imagery in Lose Control with Lay and the moon, the other half of the eclipse. I don’t think this is a coincidence, especially as Lay and Baek were original counterparts!

So here we have Baekhyun kind of act out a metaphorical eclipse, and then Lay comes in through the door. So how did he get to this parallel universe? Well, like I said a bit earlier, I don’t think he was properly trapped at the beginning.

Well basically, the members in the Parallel Universe are the ones who are actually trapped physically.. .not the Guardians, the ones with powers. Except for Suho and Xiu (I went over this before!) the Guardians are only trapped in this dream state. which is why the Red Forces haven’t made their move yet.

However I think there’s more to this. I wrote the ParaUni in two separate places, because Lay has travelled there in two different spaces in time. Just after KKB and MAMA VCR, and just before the big 2019 Total Eclipse.

Lay is a pivotal figure, being a counterpart to both the Light/Heart of the Tree of Life, and the one who can bend time and space and travel between worlds and planes. THIS IS SO SUPER SIGNIFICANT! And it’s not even to mention that he can freaking heal things! Yixing’s so fucking important and I can’t believe it! He’s at both these points in time to both warn the trapped members who are likely oblivious, get kind of trapped himself (as witnessed by his huge role in Lucky One!), and to start in motion the events of the War. This is what I truly believe, and I hope the MV will kind of confirm this.

I have so much to say about parallel universes and how they fit in with my overall theory but I wanna wait and see if this is confirmed or massively debunked with this upcoming comeback before I go on and on too much! But yes, I hope this made sense, this was very much a stream of consciousness writing thing so haha it might not!

A Trail Of Destruction - DEFINITELY a classic imo. this is one of my favorite fanfictions of all time.

Regina could still smell her cologne and feel the cheap pleather pressing into her back. The brunette sucked in a breath. She was still lying on the floor at the staircase's base and she stared back up at it. Everything was different now. Changed. She felt broken by what had just happened, appalled and enraged, dirty. the trouble with emma - very very well known within the swan queen community. i’ll be honest, i never really got into the story but i can acknowledge that it is the most well-written fanfiction i have read to date. the author is truly talented. (the first in a series of fanfics)

Post ep 4x23, Emma becomes the Dark One and learns nothing is quite as it seems or as simple as black versus white. When Regina removes the curse no one in Storybrooke is prepared for the far reaching fallout which leaves none of their lives unaltered or untouched, least of all Regina's.

shadow haven - the one smut fic everyone has read.

Emma Swan is a PR agent who is sent on a holiday by her boss. Regina Mills is the owner of a private island named Shadow Haven. There is more to Regina than initially meets the eye. This story dips heavily into the BDSM subculture. Swan Queen romance / BDSM story.

the wicked stepmother - the one kinky fic everyone has read- or attempted to. i couldn’t get through the whole thing but the first few chapters,,, holy hell.

When the Evil Queen catches baby Emma along with Snow White, she decides on a new revenge. In Storybrooke, Snow White will be allowed to raise her daughter... but on her eighteenth birthday, Regina will come for her. Emma might just enjoy that.

in control - Regina had never been in the habit of relinquishing control, but when it came to Emma Swan, she was starting to find out that giving in had its benefits. - Established Swan Queen - One Shot. Rated M for language and content.

the collar - It will carry strong mature themes as well as a Mistress/Slave relationship but it is also a lot more than that. However, as a warning this story will celebrate the shades of grey of our favourite couple as they find their way to each other and will deal with darker elements of their characters. Emma's history differs a little from canon but will be covered by the story but there is no Henry and she is an adult in this fiction.

Regina is a writer with a sleepless baby. Their lack of sleep and love for coffee soon brings them together and after that they find it hard to part. This is a fic where coffee is taking to mythical levels, despite it’s bad effect on people with insomnia and people with babies - showing that sometimes what you need and want isn’t always the thing that is wholesome and harmless. But also that denying yourself it will only lead to misery, something which Regina has to apply to other parts of her life.

all the single ladies - With the library in desperate need of renovation, Storybrooke prepares for a fundraising dinner and bachelorette auction. What mischief and romance can be found as a result? SwanQueen with some RedBeauty Rating has been raised to M - now including adult content.
