do you have a masterpost of "ty lee comes from crypto-air nomad" posts? I'm fascinated by this idea and want to read everything I can but I can't find where it started 😭
i feel like this is a question better posed to @kyoshi-lesbians, who, at least in my book, is the leading expert in ty lee studies (among other things). that said, i can definitely synthesize the argument (and why i find it cogent and persuasive), even if i don't actually know from where the theory originated (but i'm sure that if you look up "ty lee air nomad you'll immediately be directed to an old reddit page or fan forum from years ago; it's a "theory" that goes way back).
firstly, ty lee's appearance is distinctly "air nomadic" in a way no one else's is. save for aang, of course. she and aang do bear an uncanny resemblance. everyone else in the fire nation has yellowish brown eyes, for example, while ty lee, like aang, has charcoal greyish brown eyes. and they also have similar (round and cute) facial features, similar expressions, similar vibes. similar dispositions...
ty lee does not "have the personality" of a ruthless fire nation soldier, despite acting as the princess's right hand who takes out more opponents than pretty much everyone else put together. ty lee acts like an airbender, flirty and flighty. her relentless optimism and goodwill and cheer is decidedly a mask, but it is a mask she adopts adeptly. even if she is performing, she nonetheless performs the "aang" function of her respective group.
ty lee presents herself as more spiritually attuned than other people in the fire nation, who outright disrespect the spirits and spirituality. her constant talk of auras is likely a calculated move on her part, as nearly everything is, to make her seem silly and trivial, because she thrives best when she goes underestimated. but her talk of auras also has to come from somewhere, and seeing as literally no one else mentions auras once throughout the entire show, ty lee's sources are clearly scarce.
ty lee also fights like an airbender. despite generally taking the offensive, ty lee nonetheless exhibits a graceful, acrobatic quality when in combat. she never kills anyone either, merely incapacitates them momentarily. and when she is faced with stronger than typical opponents, she usually relies on her skills as an acrobat by taking the aerial advantage. note her ability to jump incredibly high, such as in "the chase," or her ability to run along a moving cable wire in "the boiling rock." ty lee's skills go beyond merely being a good acrobat. she's incredible. and perhaps even exhibiting some latent airbending skills she inherited from her ancestors.
ty lee's air nomad ancestry coheres really well with her arc as a character. imagining that her family of genocide survivors hid in the heart of the fire nation and assimilated into the imperialist culture that sought to exterminate them makes her own role that much more impactful. there's already a beautiful parallelism to the fact that ty lee is an acrobat and performer who contorts herself to suit the desires of others and performs obsequious loyalty for her own survival, but an extra layer of depth is added if she's also assimilating into the royal court by reducing herself and hiding her true feelings and motivations, just as her family did.
i see ty lee's ancestors as having assimilated into the imperial core out of fear, but over the generations, genuinely being subsumed into fire nation culture, with the desire to social climb a natural extension of their patriotism. but there are also still facets of ty lee's ancestry, whether genetic or otherwise, that have remained in traces. the generational trauma, for example, definitely reflects why her parents had so many children. and the fact that she's constantly torn between two worlds, as a genocide survivor who also directly serves the imperialists who murdered her ancestors, represents her internal struggle as someone who desires freedom of expression and the choice to assert her individuality, but is also forced through circumstance into lying and deflecting and manipulating (which, to be honest, is also the air nomad way) for the sake of survival.
surviving is ty lee's number one priority, in a way it just isn't for mai. mai and ty lee both come from social climbing families (although i've always assumed that mai's family is far wealthier than ty lee's) but mai is also depressed and frustrated and bored out of her mind. and even though she was raised in a family that forced her to don a mask and reduce herself and perform a passive model of femininity, she also has no problem stating aloud how she's feeling and what her limits are (with the exception of when azula gives her a veiled command as a test, and mai has no choice but to obey).
mai has the privilege of knowing that the stakes don't really matter, which she all but states when she claims that she grew up in luxury and opulence, and always had everything handed to her. which isn't to say that she led a perfect, easy life. she wouldn't be as depressed and repressed as she is if there weren't factors actively harming her, but she still chooses to join azula by choice, even if it's really only the illusion of choice between two awful options, whereas ty lee has to be coerced through violence.
mai kind of has a "fuck it we ball" attitude and doesn't really seem to care about her own safety (if anything, she's more concerned with comfort), whereas ty lee would do anything to ensure her survival. and that kind of mentality illustrates how she differs from most of the fire nation elites, who were inculcated into imperial privilege and never really considered what prioritizing survival even entails (zuko learns that lesson the hard way). ty really exhibits the mentality of the genocide victim/colonized subject through her prioritization of survival in the face of what to mai is a problem, but to ty lee is an existential threat.
whether or not ty lee even recognizes that her desperate desire to live comes from a place of generational grief and trauma is another story, but i do think there is something to be said for the fact that descendants of genocide survivors can feel that grief as it has been passed down to them. i think ty lee feels it, and i think that it motivates her to do whatever it takes to live, because above all, she is a survivor. and even if she has to assimilate and manipulate and cut away every part of herself that's real and authentic and true, she will do it (until she doesn't). and that's also, incidentally, what makes her such a great foil to aang.

it's always funny to me when people blame jack's insanity and genocidal tendencies solely on lilith and moxxi's so-called "betrayal" and at this point i'm convinced that they played some different game because:
lilith and moxxi literally saw him kill innocent scientists only because he thought they may betray him, but there was no solid evidence for that. and even if there actually was a traitor among them, jack could've simply put them in some sort of jail or just deal with them quietly. but no. instead he decided to make a whole show out of killing them in one of the most cruel ways possible, while gathering all of his allies around. because his goal wasn't to just get rid of someone you can't trust - he wanted lilith, moxxi and roland to see what will happen to them if they dare to disobey him
after he killed the meriff he thought that it was - quote-unquote - "invigorating". killing scientists also "felt good". normal person behavior btw
he never cared about felicity. he doesn't feel any remorse or guilt after killing her, even though she was helping him this entire time. and correct if i'm wrong, but while he did need an army to take helios back, he, in the end, never actually used it. the loaders in bl:tps couldn't do much - we had to manually turn them into the loaders who can shoot or blow up stuff. and it was after we already got on helios. so basically, there was no rush to make a constructor out of felicity and consequently kill her in the process
by the time of the events of bl:tps he has already destroyed moxxi's underdome like she said in one of the side quests in bl2 (nevertheless, she still agreed to help him). and before you say anything about how he couldn't actually do that and it's a retcon because he was a low-level programmer may i remind you that he had the money to make a goddamn body double for himself. he had a fancy office. he had a chamber for angel's containment. and i think it's pretty believable that a person with that much money is capable of doing that
and yes, angel. while lilith and roland didn't know about that at the time, he has already enslaved his own daughter many years ago and used her to manipulate them into finding the vault for him in bl1. and he had the resources to keep her in her place, too
so, of course, when they saw the eye of the destroyer they knew what was going on. imagine somehow killing a monster that took down armies just to see its' eye being used by some big fucking corporation for god knows what years later
now, to the fun part - the betrayal. let's just say that moxxi’s good at reading people - she wasn’t wrong when she called jack a «power-hungry psychopath» and said that «a lot of decent people will live to regret it if you come down from helios alive» as we will see in the future events. she and others saw jack's true colors shine through during their little quest to save the moon and it was the only logical conclusion. she was fucking right
moxxi specifically asked jack to be at the eye of helios because she planned to kill him (and, well, people who agreed to work for him) and him (and his team) only. moreover, the station was already under attack by the lost legion by quite some time. so there was literally no possibility that it would've impacted any innocents (so idk from where some people got the idea that they killed "millions of innocent hyperions" - that's just called making shit up)
jack, on the other hand, didn't know how much of an impact that caused. however, he isn’t sad about the possible death of people that singularity might have caused (again, it could, but it didn’t - still, Jack doesn’t give a fuck). he isn’t even worried about his own team. all he cares about is that he lost a very valuable and deadly weapon because of «the things he could have done with it» - and it’s pretty obvious what exactly can you do with this sort of weapon. it wasn't just standing there to look pretty you know
also, while we’re at it, you can even argue how this whole “saving the moon and its’ people” thing might have been just a cover up for a real reason – that is, get this very dangerous weapon back under his control. but that's just a speculation based on some of the in-game things i've noticed, so let's not dwell on it
finally, i never really got why people are so mad at lilith for punching jack - she literally admits that she should’ve just killed him instead, as, in the end, it costed her a lot of people’s lives and, more specifically, roland’s life. she feels extremely guilty. she knows that she fucked up. her main mistake, however, wasn't that she "betrayed" jack - her main mistake was leaving him to die instead of finishing a job and thinking that he can actually be trustworthy

The What-If Forms
I've made a post or two about silly facts I recently learned off the wiki or youtube which are sourced from Tite Kubo's site "Klub Outside" and I made one going over just how crazy his biology is.
But I don't think we discuss the alternative scenarios enough. Ichigo is quite literally a little part of everything and he can potentially be anything in between.
And Bleach Brave Souls played around with that. For example;
Mastered Hollowfication
There's the mastered hollowfication version of Ichigo. This one is even closer to real than the rest thanks to Kubo revealing that, had Ichigo not became afraid of his powers, that his mask would've mirrored the one Hollow Ichigo wore during his Dangai training.
In essence, Ichigo could've freely wielded the form he used to kill Ulquiorra had he not gave into despair. This form here is that same concept but with an Arrancar twist of the mask broken.
Then there's this one:
100% Fullbring
This form is just what would happen had Ichigo's fullbring never been stolen or had it been recovered. It's his Soul Reaper form clad in the totality of his fullbring.
A perfect blend of Hollow & Reaper manifested via Fullbring.
It's certainly visually interesting to me but it's still not the form I find most interesting. The form I find the most intriguing is actually Quincy Ichigo.
Quincy born in Black
Just look at this concept, the implications, the possibilities. The Wandenreich showed us that quincies can be a legitimate threat to the Soul Reapers. Granted, we still don't know if the army is in physical bodies or spiritual ones.
The very fact that some of members are 1000+ years old makes it hard for me to believe they are in a living human body but ya never know.
In Ichigo's case it makes the mind race with what mixture of powers he'd have. As a "true soul reaper" in the final arc Ichigo's quincy powers only summon Blut Vene or act as a counter balance to his Hollow powers.
You could see an inverse of that here.
Imagine with Me
How would Ichigo don this form? No clue, I don't think a scenario to explain this form was ever given. Perhaps he emerges from the Shattered Shaft like this, that'd be a fun Bleach AU to watch.
This form would be quite busted as well. If he was a quincy foremost he'd have power over reishi, the ability to absorb and mold it into weaponry.
His Blut Vene wouldn't be reactive/automatic and he may even have a spiritual form. Scarier still, Hollow Ichigo is in there. He may not manifest as a bootleg zanpakuto but he's still an internal source of power.
Meaning Ichigo, as a quincy, would not only draw power from around him but from within himself. Perhaps, like Yhwach, Ichigo even forms blades and swords out of reishi to battle forgoing a zanpakuto entirely.
Hell, you could even give his quincy form unique quirks. Such as the aforementioned spiritual body or maybe Ichigo's arrows have purifying properties to them.
Imagine how confused, perhaps annoyed, the soul reapers would be to see a quincy that can freely purify hollows like they do. Their whole justification for the Quincy genocide 200yrs prior to the show (about 800yrs after Yhwach's failed first war) was because quincies utterly destroy hollows thus creating an imbalance.
A quincy with arrows that purify the same way a zanpakuto does would be a quandary for them.
Quincies & Fullbring & Reaper
Then you have this image. I assumed it was a mixture of quincy and fullbring but upon research it seems to be a quincy infused with a soul reaper powers.
Which...Ichigo kinda is that already but it seems inversed. He's not a soul reaper with quincy qualities here but a quincy with reaper qualities instead. (the dominance is reversed)
But the idea of what he'd look like with fullbring as a quincy also intrigues me. It's not as compelling to me as Quincy Ichigo since this image here is just a mix of what he's already doing but it's visually interesting.
Reaper Uryu exists btw
I've rambled all I could. There's just too little on them but the ideas are interesting and I can see how it interests people even now. No, I had no real point.
I just find Quincy Ichigo intriguing as an idea since that official work of him exists. I'd even love a Bleach AU story where he emerges from the Shattered Shaft as a Quincy instead.
But that won't happen so I'm rambled out. But hey, before I go, enjoy this image I discovered while researching. ^^^

How are you holding up? I ask because I'm only, like, addressing antisemitism that leaks to my dash with every term related to Palestine I can think of blacklisted. And i'm like. Barely crlinging to fragile sanity. I hope you are better equipped to handle the stresses of this ongoing disinformation campaign. i swear to god I thought there was a way to reply privately to asks, but apparently either there isn't or I don't have the patience to find it again.
I think that you're describing how most Jews with any connection to social media feel.
The good thing, in a way, is that researching and fact-checking is my major coping mechanism. Researching and rebutting and arguing with people until I understand everything well enough to be pithy about it. Creating ways for other people to defend themselves and to push back. Doing the research to know when I'm right helps me a lot.
I'm probably as well-equipped for this as I can imagine being (that's not really true, I should be talking to people more about it and using 12-step tools to deal with it and gosh some therapy would be nice), and like... there have still literally been times when I've been triggered for an entire week by this shit.
Most notably: the time when I saw a clip on my TikTok fyp from some podcast where some journalist fully got all dressed up and prepared to go on camera, to say that she could imagine there were a few individual rapes on Oct 7 -- although she wasn't aware of any -- but that certainly there was no evidence of systematic rape, and that saying there had been systematic rape was dehumanizing propaganda.
Like. If you can't even take one minute to google whether there had been individual rapes before you go on camera. And you haven't heard of them two months after the fact. Then you don't know enough to talk about this, period. That makes you the very opposite of an expert on the subject. And yet, that is who gets platformed. Ignorant randos who have no personal connection to any of this.
I literally knew there had been gang rapes by Hamas within the first week of the massacre. Because I cared enough to do a search for eyewitness testimony of the massacre, and I found an interview on PBS immediately.
Or, more accurately: it was because it slowly sank in that the attack had been MASSIVE. 22 kibbutzim leveled in one day, hands-on, without an airplane or mortar shell involved. All those people killed the way you would kill a horde of zombies: burned alive, or shot and then mutilated, or cut up and then shot. Like they needed to double-tap, to make sure no one was coming back around.
Two years of planning. Almost half a billion dollars in funding from Iran. Detailed guides even to the dentist's offices and kindergartens and grocery stores they were invading.
And it was very plain to, I think, nearly every Jew on earth that this was an attack aimed at Jews. Even before any recordings of attackers saying "I'm inside with the Jews" or "I killed 10 Jews with my own hands" even came out. Even though everyone else was denying it from the moment it happened.
And I felt compelled to learn more about what happened.
To KNOW.
To bear witness.
Even before it became apparent started to seem like the rest of the world would rather die themselves than bear witness to us. Even before it became apparent that Hamas had been telling people Israel would commit genocide in response before its fighters even left that country.
A reasonable person, imho, would ask why the fuck Hamas would commit such atrocities if if thought Israel would respond by killing every Palestinian in Gaza.
The Palestinians in Gaza are certainly fucking demanding to know why the hell Hamas thinks it gets to start a war on them, why its leaders get to hide out and evacuate their families while demanding civilians bleed and die for it, and why it doesn't goddamn turn itself in and give back the hostages.
But anyway.
But that's the thing. I looked it up because I was compelled to. I identified with the people attacked. I needed to know what had happened to us.
That's something outsiders would only do if they were allies.
We know, now, that we don't have allies on the left.
I've seen post after post after post, hundreds and hundreds of comments, on Jewish Reddit, asking if other progressives are okay. Asking, "how are you dealing with rejection by the left??" Asking if others are also shocked and confused and betrayed. Talking about how many friends they've lost who went masks-off antisemitic. So many people who've had to end long-term relationships when their partners went masks-off.
There's usually at least one politically conservative Jew in the comments laughing wryly and going, "wow, you really thought you were safe?"
Sometimes they ask why we're on the left if everyone there wants to kill us. Then we defiantly point out that it's not any different on the right. Or that we're not going to abandon our political beliefs for anyone.
Anyway.
I didn't even watch the podcast clip past that moment.
I ragequit. I went to the file of eyewitness testimonies I'd already put together, after weeks and weeks of denial. (And by "file," I mean "draft in gmail, because it saves automatically, and it's easy to find, and i don't know why it's better than google docs or dropbox paper, but it just is.")
I took the clearest, most authoritative ones and put them into their own document -- which i did make in dropbox lol.
I duetted the video, or whatever the fuck the one is in tiktok where you just take 5 seconds from one video and the rest is your own. It's not duetting. Idk.
It was the middle of Hanukkah. I recorded a video where I read each of however many testimonies I had, and lit a candle before each one. It was almost 10 minutes long, even though I made them as short as I could.
I didn't post it.
I was triggered all to hell for a whole week. I was staying up till 3 or 4 in the morning, researching horrifying rape testimonies, arguing with people on the internet, then sleeping too little and too late, then doing it again.
Watching myself lose a whole week to this. Knowing I couldn't do anything about it. Half-angrily, half-numbly thinking about how I couldn't afford to lose this much job search time, this much unfucking-my-life time. How I couldn't afford to have people I didn't even know fuck up my life even more.
And the bitch of it all is that the tone of the discourse makes me strongly suspect that if we said, "hey everyone needs to walk it back, you guys are deeply fucking up the mental health of pretty nearly the entire Jewish community," people would just respond by angrily telling us anti-Zionism is not antisemitism, mockingly saying that's what Zionists deserve.

I am actually beyond disgusted with myself for ever looking up to Selena. To first claim you’re taking a break from social media because of everything that happening with Palestine & i*rael and making a genocide about yourself & your own family by posting a picture of your sister who is living luxuriously in the comfort of your mansion whilst talking about other children who needed that attention instead. I’m sorry but is your sister the one facing brutal occupation & bombardment? You might have the luxury of taking a “mental break” but the thousand of Palestinians suffering out there don’t.
As if that wasn’t enough, madam decided to claim she’s deleting her Instagram at a time when Palestinians need these big figures to spread their message. It’s so clear where she stands in this, she just has to have the attention on herself 24/7, doesn’t she? She didn’t want to post a picture of the children she claimed she was talking about because obviously she was going to get caught out. If not by one side, deffo by the other. I guess ma’am doesn’t want to lose followers or her business OR her pro-Zionist besties such as racist Amy Schumer.
This isn’t “hating” on your fav celebrity, it’s calling out someone who is uneducated to the core. You absolutely CANNOT claim you’re on both sides in this situation. So! Stellaris. The 4x game where you genocide in space or something.
I'll start from the top, you will be designing a space-faring empire to play as, staring with...
SPECIES/HOME SYSTEM: This is where your gonna decide what your founding species looks like and what traits they have, as well as what their home planet/star are named. Not to mention you can write a short biography on your empires pre-ftl history here! Role-play wise this will affect your game greatly, but in terms of gameplay its only a big deal early on as barring some exceptions you will like end up with quite the melting pot, and any individual species traits will be of little consequence. The next part will be much more influential, however.
GOVERNMENT: Now we get into the real meat of your empire. Who are they? What do they stand for? What makes them stand out? How do they decide on their leaders? Do they decide on their leaders? You can be militaristic xenophiles who will fight tooth and nail to protect the galaxies people, or a curious hive mind that wants to hoard as much knowledge as it can without coming to blows with its neighbors, and yes, space nazis. Here you can also decide the past of your species, they could be fairly normal, simply reaching out into the stars after a few decades of booming economy, or they could've never lived on a planet at all, being born on floating habitats in the void.
MISC: Just some other details, your first leaders name/gender, what your ships look like, what your advisor sounds like, that kinda stuff.
GAMEPLAY: I'm sorry but I have that committed to muscle memory I would have a stroke if I tried to explain it. Montu and other stellaris youtubers are the best for that.
MODS: For when you've spent 200$ on dlc but want 600$ worth instead. This can be anything from simple tweaks to complete overhauls of the gameplay. My favorite are "gigastructural engineering and more" which expand on the megastructure system (just really big things that make the economy go brrrrrr) and adds lots of post endgame content. (Wanna rearrange entire star systems into mobile weapons platforms and pit them against space cats that consume millions of galaxies to outlive entropy?)
Then there's stellaris evolved, which changes literally every aspect of the game in some way we would be here all day so just know it's amazing.
Alright we've been through a few paragraphs of this so I think it's time to talk about one of my own empires!
THE EMPIRE OF SILDORIA: A long time ago, humans sent out colony ships into a wormhole found at the edge of the solar system, most were destroyed, but one of the surviving ones wound up in a random part of the galaxy, and went a-looking for a new home. But they couldn't find one, supplies were dwindling and systems were failing, so they took a gamble and took up residence in the upper atmosphere of an unusually stable gas giant. It was still a brutal task, where people were worked to death out of necessity rather than greed, but they pulled it off. Floating cities dot the gas planet of sildoria, and after scrounging up enough materials, they have made their way onto the galactic stage. It did not come without cost, however, as the humans, or rather, sildorians, have been fundamental changed by their experiences. Their psyche is unbreakable on a biological level, and their bodies are quite tough as well. They are instinctively inclined to reduce waste, and have a reduced birthrate as a result of cramped conditions. The sildorian government is an interesting one, while it is extremely focused on material gain and expansion of industry, they make sure to take as good care of their people as they can. A sildorian laborer will be expected to give everything they can spare in the workplace, and in exchange they will want for nothing at home. In the future the sildorian empire is likely to take forays into robotics and cybernetics to maximize productivity and comfort. OK that's all I have to say :D

Fuck it, here’s a post about Ted Malawer.
Playwrite, trained opera singer, literary agent, and co-writer for RWRB.
I knew nothing about him prior to about fifteen minutes ago.
He wrote one play called Daddy Issues: a gay romp through history starring Adolf Hitler!
The synopsis: Von Blergh is an aspiring Jewish artist in New Rochelle. Adolf Hitler is an aspiring artist in Germany. As they mature, their lives intertwine in ways neither of them thought possible, leading to the discovery of love, the pursuit of passion, and their own coming-of-age and ultimate destruction. A fast-paced, dark comedy set against a historical re-imagining of the early-to-mid twentieth century.
The reviews say it’s a lot of fun.
Now, when I think Hitler, I don’t think “lots of fun.” Call my opinion unpopular, I guess. And I’m not immune to comedy, The Producers had an entire thing about a Hitler musical (Springtime for Hitler, anyone?), but that was the joke. The Producers made fun of people making Hitler shows because it’s weird, it’ll make money, but it’s weird and harmful. Ted’s play is tagged as being a satire… but that doesn’t matter, it’s still a play about Hitler finding love and then starting the Holocaust over a breakup. Ted said, let’s downplay the entirety of a genocide that killed 6million people, because I can make it gay and funny.
Anyway so Ted made gay Hitler fanfiction. It starred Robin De Jesús, who I personally really love and have seen basically every film he’s in, but uh, were there no gay Jewish actors in New York who wanted to play Hitler’s love interest? Hmm… wonder why.

Ted wrote a little thing and described the Jewish character as the following: “He is neurotic and hungry — in other words, Jewish.”
Ah, yes, the classic “Jews are neurotic” thing haha. While you’re at it, why don’t you make a joke about women staying in the kitchen and someone taking your wife. Calling Jews neurotic is dead. It’s a dead joke. It’s dumb, it’s untrue, and it’s old. It’s a stupid, stupid stereotype joke that has become literally the biggest way Jews can be presented in media.
He then uses the whole “First they came” poem(?) as the basis of the opening, but changes all the words. First They Came is a WW2 writing about how they come for the groups you’re not and if you don’t speak out, by the time they get to you, there’s no one there to help you. It’s powerful. Anyway, he says “they came for the Jews but I didn’t speak out because I had a nose job, a good one, so I could pass.”
Ah, yes, Jews have big noses, but once you get yours ripped off you can hide your Jewishness and no one ever has to know you were a Jew. Isn’t it so great to pass? What the fuck, Ted. Come on, man.
More, the character refers to himself as Anne Frank on PrEp.
Says that he would rather be buried in a Jewish cemetery than get a tattoo. In some places you can’t be buried if you have a tattoo since it’s technically against religion rules, but that’s pretty relaxed nowadays from what I’ve seen. Like, pretty sure only the really religiously places might reject someone on tattoo basis. It was in the context of saying that the main character made a group of friends, but they dropped him when he wouldn’t get a tattoo, because he’d rather be buried in his family plot. So basically saying that by picking his religion, he loses all his friends. Basically Ted is saying that if you pick being overtly Jewish over fitting in, you lose out.
But then it talks about, of course, the overbearing mom wanting her son to be a doctor and never leave home. Because of course all Jewish moms are overbearing and want a doctor in the family. I’m literally so over these stereotypes.
Mention about temple membership being expensive. That made me laugh, because it is kinda expensive. Butttttt also, you don’t have to pay for weekly services. Those are free. You can join a temple and pay, you get better high holy day tickets that way, your kids can go to Hebrew school, etc, but the majority of temples just let you walk in. Because we’re not, like, a money making organization. But obviously Ted had to make sure the audience knew that Jews have a whole money thing going, so he made sure to talk about how expensive going to temple is. Tell us more how you feel there, Teddy!

Ha ha ha another classic Jew™️ moment. A bad tummy. 1. There are genetic things (I’m not a doctor don’t ask me) that make Ashkenazic Jews more prone to gastrointestinal problems, but NOT everyone!!! 2. I repeat not. Every. Jew. Has. Stomach. Trouble!!!!!!!!! Every race/ethnicity/group of people has shared genetic markers, that’s how DNA works, and different races have different issues. Anyway, Ted thinks Jews are only a collection of stereotypes.
Hasidic drag queen named Torah Portion murdered someone. First off, lazy name. You can do better than that. There’s like a bunch online. Regardless. Torah Portion is a terrible drag queen name. And is more telling that Ted is saying that the Torah killed someone. We’re seeing his inner thoughts here for sure. This is a man who does not like his Jewish religion or being seen as visibly Jewish. Plus, Hasidic being specified really shows what he thinks of the other branches of Judaism.
Lastly, the Jewish character says he’s done a lot of mitzvahs, like selling a blind girl to the zoo.
Because Jews love money and are awful people haha, right Ted?
So what’s the point of this post, I’m sure you’re asking. It’s to show that self-hatred is big in the Jewish community. It’s the whole “I’ll punch myself so you don’t have to” thing. It’s why there’s so many Jewish comedians. We can make fun of ourselves so you don’t. It’s a survival thing. But, there becomes a time when it stops being for survival or for comedy, and it becomes believed by society and by that Jew themself. Ted wrote these things because it’s what’s expected of a Jewish character. To be full of stereotypes. He wrote a gay Hitler play, I don’t even have any idea where to go with that. So, it’s easy to see that Ted is someone who is embarrassed by who he is, and hides that in self-deprecation on stage. It’s literally the self-hating Jew trope that some Jews use to pretend that they’re not different, they’re not like those other Jews, they’re cool Jews. Well, Ted, imho you just seem kinda like you hate that you were born Jewish and, like, kinda gross with your Hitler fanfic
When RWRB erased their only Jewish character for the screen, was it Ted saying to do so? Because I don’t want a man who thinks exploring a Hitler romance is funny or saying that a nose job means a Jew isn’t really a Jew anymore because they can pass, making the calls for which Jews get to exist and which don’t. Like, Jews are so little good representation, and based on Ted’s past stuff and the fact that RWRB literally erased their Jewish character, it really looks like the brain trust there (Matthew, Casey, Ted) don’t think Jews are worthy of anything better. That Nora couldn’t possibly be Jewish onscreen, because she’s not riddled with stereotypes (I mean… not any more than usual and easily changed), instead she was a strong character first and Jewish second. Which, to Matt, CMQ, and Ted, I guess they don’t think a Jew can be that

hi okay so!! this will be a short summary!!
Vanguard!Tale starts at the very end of the pacifist route. Instead of the barrier breaking, It had stayed completely shut for currently mysterious reasons. Asgore would have normally sacrificed himself so Frisk can pass, however Frisk talked him out of it, as she assured him that she'd find another way.
KEEP IN MIND THE STORY IS STILL PROGRESSING cuz.. everyone who’s part of it is insanely slow.

For the next 7 years, Frisk stays underground. She's now 17, soon to be 18. During this time, War rages out on the surface which further prevents the monsters from leaving the underground. Due to war and the danger of humanity on the surface, The seven souls are currently kept under even heavier containment as Asgore decides what to do. . . The name vanguardtale comes from the fact that Asgore will eventually give 6 monsters one of the 6 souls; So eventually they can go on the surface and not have to worry about being attacked by humans. This is just a lil summary there’s so much more lore :3 but that’s like the jist. As for some of the MAIN characters. . .
FRISK
Frisk starts off as 10 almost 11, but is now 17 and soon to be 18. Unknown to most, She's done numerous genocide runs years before her final Pacifist run, only to be remembered by Chara. She is, at her core, a murderer. But with the power of DETERMINATION, she came to a realization that she has the ability to change who she is. She will always have the urges to start another route, however her willpower to be a better person and change lives is much stronger than the halfhanded urges. She now resides at New Home and has somewhat replaced Sans as "The Judge".
TORIEL
Toriel has remained basically the same with the slight addition of a new nickname; Cari. Even though shes very similar to UT!Toriel, She has become slightly less reserved in fights. She will only kill when provoked by someone who's proven to be irredeemable, in which she will not hesistate or falter. She excells in almost all fields above most monsters, however shes especially skilled in defense. As for appearance, she looks far more royal than before. She wears purple underneath her white cape and white DELTARUNE symbol connecting the jacket/cape together
SANS
Sans, appearance wise.. is the same. Literally the exact same. He's lazy, did you expect much different? However he DID find a "blue heart sticker" that hes worn ever since. (Possible redesign soon) As for personality, he's much more canon than fanon. He will, in fact, NOT push out a blaster at the slightest inconvinience! With Frisk now taking the job of Judge, he's pretty much living carefree.
CHARA
Nope! Chara is not physical as you asked! He’s a ghost and god knows how he ages. Chara HATES Frisk; And that’s alot coming from someone who would kiss the ground she used to walk on. Any route they took, Chara would support. Every genocide she did, Chara was rooting. But eventually something changed. After Flowey had completely given up on trying to stop Frisk; Chara took a step up and began that job. Not because he hates Frisk for what she’s done; but because they’re insanely tired of being in this world. Imagine how many resets of genocide and then some random ass postponed pacifist. Yea, he’s fucking fed up.

Please, Use Your Brain...
It's honestly surprising to me how many people still show anger and hatred towards people who don't support Pewdiepie anymore.
So, a grown man goes onto the internet to interact with his MASSIVE fanbase, which in turn has way more significant of an impact, and in the most literal sense uses a SLUR as a genuine INSULT towards someone. While face-to-face with people who have looked up to him for years, supported him, given thousands of hours towards to support, just for him to completely disregard an entire COMMUNITY with one moronic action.
His literal first response to anger and frustration in that moment was to use a slur. Not a fucking little insignificant curse word, a slur connected to GENERATIONS of injustice and genocide, related to something that has so much more of a serious impact than he could even imagine. Than he could even understand, along with the majority of people with their mouths wide open accepting an apology not even DIRECTED TOWARDS THEM. As if your word, as someone who is white on MOST occasions, is SOMEHOW above the word of people who are the only ones capable of truly understanding the impact of his words and actions. People who have RELATIVES who have TRAUMA from racism, because IT ISN'T AN OLD STORY, IT'S REAL AND STILL RELEVANT.
For the love of everything, don't go around using BLM as a way to further your point supporting a man who literally disregarded the lives of THOUSANDS of Black fans who looked up to him. Responsibility is important when you are a GROWN ADULT making that large of an impact to that many people. Especially if it's on a platform like YouTube, where people literally WATCH you grow in front of them, with them, regularly and directly, in a way that is so much more on a intimate level and that has such a large impact. And that impact is even bigger WHEN YOUR FANS ARE QUITE LITERALLY 9 YEAR OLDS.
The way that people disregard the impact of this man's actions in favor of comfort without change is genuinely disturbing.
The most cancel culture has done to this man is increase backlash, which literally comes with being a massive figure on the internet. Not to mention that, idk, maybe if you have that many fans THE BACKLASH MIGHT EQUATE TO THAT. It's almost like the more people you have watching you, the more people you impact and hurt when you do ignorant careless shit! Isn't that lovely?
But at MOST, cancel culture has not changed ANYTHING on this man's stance. He's still one of the biggest people on YouTube, making just as much revenue, having MILLIONS of people STILL supporting him.
I KNOW. Cancel culture was so terrible to him! (His follower count totally isn't still 112 MILLION!!) It must be terrible to have to be held accountable for bad actions as a grown adult responsible for the influence he has as an influencer! How awful it is for people to want a man borderline 40 to log off the internet, go touch grass, and maybe just maybe do that to make up for the absolutely massive and terrible impact he made to thousands of his fans!
Thousands of people who looked up to him and idolized him, just to find out he's like so many others who have UNDOUBTABLY hurt them just as badly in life with those words.
Because while he gets to apologize, forget, "change" and leave that moment behind, countless of his fans cannot! Because they will always associate him with an issue he inserted himself in carelessly, an issue that has CENTURIES of impact no one can understand the true pain of unless they grew up in that community. Which still ACTIVELY is facing that same horrific injustice regularly!
So yes, I think that people are allowed to be angry at someone who did that significant of a mistake at the expense of years of their support and love! Because physical wounds heal, but words don't. And YOU as a "critic" don't get to draw your own conclusions to a situation you can't even fully understand, because that is blatant ignorance! (talking to all his fans who aren't part of the community impacted)
(Also, this post, unlike the ones that support him, is actually reiterating the words of those who have ACTUALLY been impacted!)
You also don't get to draw your own lines when you yourself constantly let others, yourself, and people you favor cross them.
You're angry about the most minor petty impact out of this entire situation, and demean others for being angry.
You hate when people are too intense with their disapproval and honestly can't help but joke about your inhumane "niche opinion" because if they don't they'll only be left to cry, but then support shitty "critique" dry humor streamers and YouTubers who's entire personality surrounds telling people they're cringe and to "kys haha". Don't put on a pretty face if you've never played pretty.
Maybe put the energy you put into supporting this man into actual real life problems, instead of shedding light on them JUST to further your point that literally ends up harming them more than anything. Maybe let this little part of your nostalgia go and actually MATURE, please. Because this is not it. It's not even on the same spectrum. It's ignorant and COMPLETELY dismissive.
Just because he's someone you favorited, doesn't mean he's exempt from being held accountable for shitty things that had way too big of an impact to simply be swept under the rug and left behind. I promise, he's not a 10 year old child that made an honest mistake, he's a grown man that had responsibilities and carelessly fucked them up in the worst way possible.
You're not brave if you still support this man. You're willingly ignorant and dismissive, end of story.
And since people love criticism when it comes to getting a message across, here's some of mine! Freedom of speech is a lovely thing, isn't it? It's such a sight to see when insecure people come to the realization that criticism does in fact work both ways and they're not a special exception!

all i see every time i open my social media accounts is pictures and videos of murdered, wounded, terrified innocent children of Palestine.
but i can log out and forget about it, i have the luxury to do so, but they can’t. this is the reality they live in. kids in Gaza are writing their names on their arms in case something happens to them so that they can be identified. do you realize how bad it has to be for kids to do this?
50,000 pregnant women in Gaza cannot access health services what with the hospitals being bombed & evacuated because they’re going to get bombed, 5,500 of them are due to give birth, are they not worth fighting for, marching for, because they’re arab?

still thinking about the hellfire gala . spoilers obviously. this turned into a massive fucking rant LOL
quite frankly ive gone off before about how much i hate shock value writing because i consider it to be lazy and the utmost sign of a writer who doesn't know what they're fucking doing, and that's. exactly. what this felt like. like reading it just felt insulting honestly. like i won't pretend that i didn't expect the krakoan era to end. i KNEW at some point they'd either get rid of it completely or just fuck them over somehow and taint the whole thing. but like, this was just......too much. and it was awful. lol. i keep using that word because it really was.
like 1) the deaths were graphic in a way i would not have expected for mainline x-men honestly. like that was a step beneath x-force imo. and it felt so ... idk. mean???? like it just felt like a slap in the face, "lol your fave that you voted for has just been violently eviscerated on panel the immediate next page after you were told they'd be part of the most diverse mainline x-men team we've had in recent years" anD THEN ALL THE OTHER ONES AFTER????? BOBBY MELTING TO DEATH IN FRONT OF HIS BOYFRIEND???? JEAN A PILE OF BONES IN THE WRECKAGE???? FUCKED UP FOR LITERALLY NO REASON OTHER THAN SHOCK VALUE
2) most of the deaths could have been entirely preventable, some of them didnt even make SENSE. illyana was not the only mutant capable of teleportation in the entire fucking gala, why did jean not stop everything sooner, why was lourdes the only one who died to the gunfire, etc etc etc. i mean it's a suspension of disbelief that's just. lazy. lmfao. because you HAVE to suspend your disbelief to not imagine this going any other way that didn't end in a literal massacre.
3) there were multiple plot points within this that just had zero build-up and were just thrown in to make things work, so, again, Lazy Writing. and again, we're supposed to just Roll With It.
4) i can't explain how fucked up it is to give the minority allegory people their own safe place to live and then absolutely DUNK ON IT the way they did in this. the x-men deserve a break. mutants deserve a break. this was just uniquely awful and i cannot explain how GROSS it just feels to see it happen.
ALSO SPEAKING OF MINORITY ALLEGORY PEOPLE????? the way they handwaved kamala being a mutant is also very fucking lazy and if they're really going to commit to it she deserved something better than the explanation we were given. her death was similarly handwaved in a way i *personally* really hate , like that should be legitimately traumatizing to her, she's just a teenager, idc about her being a superhero. she just pops out of an egg, finds out she's apparently a mutant, and is just .... chill with it??? also emma saying she's going to erase the memories of her being dead from her parents' minds is INSANE??? EMMA AND CHARLES PRESSURING A BROWN GIRL INTO ""COMING OUT"" AS A MUTANT WHEN SHE'S ONLY JUST LEARNED SHE'S ONE AND DOESN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT HER POWERS ARE YET IS EVEN MORE INSANE AND SO SO SO WEIRD??????? LIKE DON'T YOU TWO HAVE JOBS, STOP IT
and like i don't know man! i don't know!!! i feel like none of this is very succinct and it's because i'm still SO upset over it but i legitimately was grossed out by this. it felt so awful to read. i had to force myself through the second half of it and i am pretty sure i had a mild panic attack over it. i don't understand how something like this could get continuously greenlit to the point of it going to print. it feels uniquely awful and if the krakoan era genuinely ends with another mutant genocide i really don't think i'm going to ever buy another marvel comic lol. or even if they somehow reverse said genocide, or it turns out it never actually happened, i still don't think i will honestly.
like granted i haven't read a ton outside of x-men stuff, but within the bubble of comics i have read, what other "group" of superheroes so routinely gets storylines that end with things like genocide and decimation and on-panel evisceration? the shock value in this is so disgusting and lazy and i don't even want to acknowledge it. there were such better ways to go about this and it's just disheartening to know they genuinely thought this was...a good idea? and i can't tell if they LEGITIMATELY thought it was good or if they thought the shock value -> everyone hates it -> "bad press is good press" pipeline was worth it... either option is not good, though. so idk.
there are parts of modern x-men i've really enjoyed, and i love the CONCEPT of krakoa, but i think the problem is you get a bunch of (usually) cishet white male culturally-christian writers trying to tackle the Minority Allegory™ characters and you end up with things like this. krakoa could have been so beautiful and meaningful if they weren't so liberal (and i mean this in a derogatory Democratic Liberal sort of way) with it. i wish we got more. i wish we got something better. and i'm not planning to read fall of x to be so for real, i'm gonna read About it like i have been ASM because i value my sanity much more than forcing myself to read awful garbage.

I am. SO conflicted.
The day to day life that you write between Donnie, Cass, Draxum, Tigerclaw, Huggin, and Munnin is like. Literally how I imagine my dream life.
The chess. The political debates. The regular Library trips. The problems they solve. The idea of solving climate change and creating solutions (using the term loosely) to Covid. The studying. Just how they're constantly working to fix things but it's also something they love doing. I love it all.
But. But but but. Draxum is evil. But I love his relationship with Donnie. Even if it's fake (which I don't know if it is). It makes me so happy to read.
And Draxum's cause in general! From what we get in the show, I immediately think he's going about it all wrong, but the way you wrote it? I don't know what to think anymore. I'm finding myself rooting for Draxum, oddly enough.
And I'm just wondering if Donnie actually likes his life right now. Cause sure. Maybe Draxum lied to get to this point, but what if Donnie is more happy now? Even after he remembers (or doesn't, who knows), what if he still understands Draxum and cares about his cause?
I genuinely don't know if it's a bad thing that this is all it took for me to (almost) side with Draxum, because I've seen other people who aren't even fazed. If I missed something, or if anyone wants to contribute their opinions and reasoning, I would be grateful. As briefly mentioned above, I love conversations like this.
Small note: The last chapter did slightly change my opinions on Draxum, but it's something that I could overlook in a long-term view. Assuming it doesn't get worse.
I felt like it was kind of important to give Draxum's cause a reasonable justification. Because irl, it's often framed that way. Genocide often happens after some widespread hardship, with a dedicated propaganda campaign to outline the future victims as being at fault. Germany fell into a depression after WW1, and the Nazis rose to power because they told Christian Germans that there was a way out, a way to punish the people responsible, which made them eager to start blaming Jewish people. Then they slowly kept pushing things further until they got to the death camps.
Humans as a whole are not the cause of climate change or anything else Draxum thinks he's saving the world from, at least not anymore than the Yokai would be if the positions were flipped. It's just a few humans in particular who are shit. And it's just that our society is set up to reward the most selfish among us, and those guys end up making the decisions for everyone else.
But at the same time I feel like I'm giving the subject too much nuance. Because I see a lot of brewing racial tensions and calls for violence right now that are not being disguised in the slightest. I see people openly calling for mass killings because women won't sleep with them, calls for civil war because 'it would be fun.' And I know there's a lot of what I was just talking about, far-right indoctrination and painting anyone not a red-voting, straight white Christian as an enemy coming to kill your kids and kick you out of your house, but it's just so...vitriolic. These people hate others because they want to hate people, it's their only source of happiness because they're so deeply miserable with themselves. They want to hurt others because it makes them feel powerful. And I just wonder if that's all its ever been. No mind tricks, no propaganda, just...wanting to stand on top of others.

Oh, hey! I was the one talking about Lesson 16 like a month ago. I got memory problems and forget usernames the second I close a tab, heh. Just rediscovered your blog after clicking on the salty Lucifer pic and realized you responded to my ask.
I think that while Barbatos agreed with Diavolo's actions, he knew that it wasn't going to lead to a happy outcome for the prince (earns the respect of the Devildom, but loses his most trusted friend, and either has to harden himself in a way he doesn't want to or be haunted by the question, "did I do the right thing?").
Diavolo didn't want to kill Belphegor, but he couldn't just let him leave without appearing weak or like he considered his inner circle above the law every other demon followed on pain of death.
If he freed Belphegor, the demon would actively inspire other demons to rise up against him and try to overthrow him or launch genocidal attacks on innocent humans. Humans are like hunter's game to demons, and many demons don't want their delicacy becoming a protected species or a moral dilemma ("these creatures are innately less valuable than I am, and therefore it is reasonable to sacrifice them for my needs" vs "this person is worth the same as I am, so is the pleasure I get from killing them worth their life?").
It's easy to forget because he is so laid-back and friendly, but Diavolo lives in a strength-based hierarchy (hence why Satan is the 4th oldest when he is younger than Belphie, the 7th oldest). If he appears weak, then he will become prey to the opportunistic. Aside from challenges to his power, he could potentially face civil war as all of the demons begrudgingly following him, no longer consider him strong enough to respect and want to return to the ways of his ancestors.
While I believe the idea to send MC back in time was Diavolo, Barbatos's permission to use his powers to find a peaceful solution was likely given a broad interpretation by the demon, and he arranged the timelines on his own. Diavolo likely intended for MC to return with the revelation that they were related to Lilith, but it still wasn't an ideal outcome for him because Belphegor would resent him for locking him up without even considering his views.
So Barbatos adjusted things and found a solution that left Belphegor with the most favorable attitude towards Diavolo that they could hope for and pushed that nasty bit of attempted-treason under the rug where none but the prince's most trusted could find it.
Diavolo trusts Barbatos implicitly, so if the butler said "this is the best way", he would agree without hesitation and allow him to tidy up and cancel the timelines as he sees fit.
Diavolo: *doesn’t want it to seem like his inner circle is above the law*
also Diavolo: *sweeps his bestie’s brother’s first degree murder charge under the rug*
he’s lucky the mc doesn’t have the option to hold a grudge cause they could single-handedly start their own civil war with that lmao

Diavolo literally made his government out of fallen angels - which we know people like Mephisto don’t approve of - only to chuck a human in the mix further down the line, seemingly all without a public vote!! their qualifications are that they’re his buddies, that’s it!!!
can you imagine if that happened in reality?? there would be uproar, and I wanna see that!! I wanna see how the public reacted to the brothers and how they’re reacting to the mc!!!! GIVE ME THE RIOTS!!!!!

Hi. I’m sorry to trouble you with this but it’s really messing with my head lmao.
I’m having a dilemma, since Harry has been silent on genocide and literally has zionists as best friends he’s made my opinion on him change drastically and has basically left a sick feeling in my mouth, considering what he advocates for, and I absolutely adore you and your writing and obviously I would love to continue supporting you, I don’t imagine him when I read so that’s okay, but with other writers I have adored for a long time, they ignore this about him and continue posting freaking out about his hair or a new photo. And it makes me question them too. I understand using his name for views etc because that’s smart, but to really be a fan and ignore it.. I don’t know how you can’t feel the same as me about him honestly. It’s made me so upset but mostly angry and sick. I love theirs and your writings and as you don’t post for him really ever as I see(?) it makes me hold you in a higher regard and feel maybe you understand. I’d just like your view on it I guess because, to get dark and boring sorry lmao, I have depression and honestly these stories give me life. This community used to as well. So now (to sound dramatic) after ‘losing’ Harry & what he’s meant to ang given me after more than a decade, I’d hate to lose this community too you know. Because I know how I feel, I just don’t know what to do. Ahh I know this is one of those super divisive conversations as of late. I’ve posted in support for Palestine a few times on this blog but I hesitate to focus on that conversation while this blog is a Harry smut blog.
I don’t know what his take is since he hasn’t made it clear where he stands. And just because he has friends who are supporting Israel doesn’t mean he is too. All we know is he’s quiet. If I cut off all my friends and family for not seeing things the same way I do I’d probably just give up on life. We don’t have many things in life to find joy in and picking apart the opinions of others or those we look up to can be dangerous and unhealthy.
I don’t know why he’s been silent about this but I do know that anytime anyone does speak up about things that people have huge opinions on it can be a shit show.
Even someone like me, with a tiny itty bitty platform gets hate for posting in support of Palestine- just imagine how much more that would happen with Harry. Does that make it right for him to keep quiet? Should he risk his reputation among people who don’t agree with whatever he says? Either way, someone isn’t going to like it and he’ll become a big target.
I’ve seen a lot of people make the comment that people like Harry (famous people) should just keep their mouths shut about things like this. But then when they’re silent they get shit too. They can’t win one way or another.
It’s okay to move on from being his fan if his silence bothers you but it’s also okay to still be his fan. It’s better not to alienate people by saying such things with such wide and broad strokes when we don’t know the heart of people just because they’re quiet or because we haven’t heard their opinion.
I hope you’re okay hon. I know this has hit a lot of people very hard and that what’s going on is very upsetting on so many levels but you won’t always get answers you want from someone you don’t know and who risks their safety by speaking up.
