okay it’s official.
I am no longer using poo pourri at work because any asshole who loiters outside of an occupied restroom while loudly facetiming deserves to smell my shit.
Absolutely TERRIBLE etiquette!!!! What is wrong with these people who don’t just go find another fucking toilet and instead prefer to linger outside like a fucking child???? There are SO MANY fucking shitters in this building but you wanna kick rocks outside the one I’M shitting in?????? Okay great I guess you get to smell this ass then. Seriously there are over 10 single-occupancy toilets in this building, there is absolutely no need to be obnoxious while another person uses the restroom. Just go somewhere else!

may i ask about your transfem eridan reading if possible?
I'm afraid to say I don't have a ton of analysis wrt the way Eridan is written in the context of Homestuck. I believe the person who wrote Eridan's Pesterquest route (which pretty heavily hinted at transfem Eridan) said there was some stuff in canon which supported it, which isn't like. Technically wrong. But to do that we gotta get into March Eridan because let's be honest that's where that whole thing stemmed from.
So the original March Eridan stemmed from this image of Eridan is a tube top, plaid skirt/pigtails etc. from the official Homestuck Calendar.
Which was, from what I can tell, somewhat controversial in the fandom. Some people vehemently disliked it and used it as an excuse to be transphobic, some people used it as an excuse to draw a thirteen-year old boy in very skimpy feminine clothing. Y'know. Fun stuff.
But the original image itself is kind of interesting in origin. It was actually drawn by Paige Turner, a trans woman who did a lot of art for Homestuck (especially in the walkarounds) and was quite possible the person responsible for This
So the original image clearly had some Vision in it, which then got incorporated back into Homestuck via March Eridan appearing in the Ministrife.
I think people can forget sometimes how much external/fandom impulses get folded back into Homestuck, especially post Act 5. In the text, there isn't a ton of supporting evidence, but the Text changes and adds in new things all the time!
That being said, my actual TAKE on how a transfem Eridan would go is. I mean I wrote it in The Golden Mile. I think Eridan's line in Pesterquest is a really interesting one. He says he's not open about how he thinks the gender binary is fake and stupid because people already hate him, and if he supported gender deviance it would just direct people's ire to one of the only things he thinks is actually good that he supports. There's always an odd self-awareness about Eridan's worst traits that he shows pretty frequently. It doesn't make it better that he then engages in those shitty traits, but it does show some potential for growth.
And I think growth is the key word here. I think Eridan's gender arc should coincide with Eridan becoming a person she can actually stand being. And I think having a transfem who was, objectively, a complete shitter, is an interesting story that we aren't often shown. There are, in real life, trans women who were shitheads before coming out, and who, after changing, probably shouldn't have to live in constant shame over who they were once, as long as they do better in the future. It's something I'm going to explore going forward in Early June, and I think a good transfem Eridan can add a lot to the character.

how do i deal with a coworker badmouthing me to other coworkers and using the power of suggestion against me?
she has no real problems to bring to the manager about me bc i don't do anything wrong, i'm a good worker, i know what i'm doing- been there 3 years and the manager likes what i'm doing. figured she doesn't like me bc i'm young (29, she's 72), and i'm not a small country town conservative like everyone else there.
mostly it was the bossiness and the nitpicking but now she's started talking in ppl's ears.
i;m trying my best to keep on doing what i'm doing and not let it bother me but the energy i get from my coworkers has shifted and it's making me feel unwelcome. and now she's started on the our regular customers too.
i'm gonna have to start going out of my way to talk to this particular one bc i overheard her say to the old hag that she thinks i hate her????? no idea where that came from bc i don't treat her badly at all. figured it's bc i just don't talk to her a lot, but that's bc i have nothing to talk about, i'm often busy DOING my job, i'm not in the mood to talk most of the time bc my life is in the shitter and she talks to the other workers more anyway since they all know each other (i'm the newest employee).
i'm so tired of this, working there could be so easy and simple if not for this petty bitchy BS.
also i'm not the only one who dislikes her, most of the other ppl who work there come in on days that she ISN'T on lol, been thinking of switching days too but i don't wanna leave them too thin. i have enough problems and i just need her to piss off and leave me alone lol.
actually i think me having problems is WHY she's targeting me, another lady who used to work there and left a lil while ago had personal problems too and she was the old hags punching bag. now that she's left, the old hag's focused her attention to me.

dear anonymous, i am literally the BIGGEST angst fan in the world. every fanfic i've ever written has been angst (not really but most of them)
so i'm SO glad you sent this in and i hope i deliver only the best
PAPA I
when super stressed or upset, he goes nonverbal. these episodes used to be a looot shitter when he was younger cause they'd force him to speak and make things 10 times worse! (thankfully he has a better understanding of himself now, as well as those around him)
sometimes he gets bitter over the family line and his brothers executions of the role of papa. he knows he couldn't have performed forever, but it feels as though none of them take it as seriously as they should, with their glamorous outfits and silly stage antics.
got into gardening because he didn't know what to do with himself after passing the mic to secondo. he was locked in his room for weeks until an earth ghoul suggested the hobby to him. now it's one of the only things that keeps him grounded (pun not intended)
PAPA II
hates how angry he can get. usually there's a reason behind it, sure, but sometimes he's just so fucking pissed, he can't even remember why he was mad in the first place. it makes him feel disgusting.
wishes he was able to be more emotionally vulnerable but also feels he has a reputation to uphold. he has to be the strong one.
secretly never truly wanted to be papa. that's why he didn't give a single fuck during his papacy. if he was going to be papa, he was gonna have fun with it while he could!
PAPA III
while he is definitely the most naturally charismatic and extroverted of his brothers, he plays a lot of it up on stage. it's exhausting.
has undiagnosed ADHD which made things really tough when he was younger - the title of 'delinquent' stuck so he sort of rebelled as a result and embraced the so-called delinquency.
PETRIFIED of intimacy! he never really had healthy examples of relationships growing up so as a result he's like, really scared to get actually close to people. he's scared of them really getting to know him and realizing that he's not everything he's cracked up to be
PAPA IV/COPIA
has really bad anxiety, especially at night. at nighttime, the church just seems so big and empty and he gets paranoid!
do i smell an inferiority complex??? even now that he has the title of papa he constantly doubts himself. will never think he deserves it.
wishes he could have had real relationships with his brothers. he doesn't mean to but sometimes he resents sister for keeping this secret from him for so long. didn't he have the right to know? maybe if he did know, he wouldn't have felt so damn alone when he was a kid.

Molly, Nothing Good Starts' 2nd chapter is brilliant! And I'm so happy that there'll be another one! I'm not even sure where to start: the deconstruction of Anthony's ego and insecurities, the easy and gripping dialogue filled with sass and flirt, the adorable sneak into the siblings relationships (Ant's with G & H and Kate's with Edwina), the intervention of real life F1 personalities (omg!!!!). Love it all!
Really looking forward to read about Kate coming to terms with their relationship status and all the adjusting that will entail! Does she fully overcome her fear before they start dating? Or is it something that will continue to bother her? And how does Anthony react with Kate's feelings on the matter?

I feel like we’re starting to see that underneath all the bravado Anthony’s a little bit insecure and he’s got a really good heart. He’s a soft little bean who doesn’t always know how to process his emotions but he’s trying to put himself out there.
Kate… still had a little bit to work through. You know, Anthony’s job is dangerous and people will talk but guess what? They’re going to do those things anyway. Anthony could still die in an accident even if they weren’t together. What would the difference be? The only difference really would be that she never really got the chance to tell him how she felt. To tell him that she felt this too but she was scared. That’s all she has to work through. And of course, she’s not magically cured just because she and Anthony are together. She still feels terrified for him every time she runs into the gravel or someone clips his wheel and he spins out. She feels terrified when his car rolls and she can’t remember if she told him she loved him when he got in the car today. And it’s really not okay until she hears his voice crackle over the radio.
“Well. That was a bit of a shitter.”
“Are you okay?”
“Honestly, no.” Anthony sighed, “I’ve jarred my finger. I might lose the nail.”
“Okay,” Kate finds it in herself to chuckle as the stewards come onto the track. “Exit the car please, Anthony. Come back to the wall.”

On behalf of someone not in the server, /what/ is the whole myo scandal going on rn? Did they hand out fake myos...? Did they revoke paid myos....? Did staff trade illegal myos to people....??? I'm lost.
OK SO im just gonna give a whole summary of the events of the past few days since it seems a lot of people are confused (also i dont have screenshots EVERYTHING what im about to say, but this is just what i remember from personally seeing it. ill link posts as they come along for context):
the other night, when staff made this announcement regarding coy, shit started to hit the fan pretty fast
this announcement came after almost a full 2 days of weird behavior from staff, like how a lot of them put almost all their terras up for trade and how there was basically radio silence with the staff questions and design concept channels going unanswered. a lot of people noticed how suspicious this was, and this anon was pretty on the money with their theory
so suffice to say everyone was pretty much on the edge of their seats waiting for something big, and after the announcement was made the entire server basically exploded. in the chaos of people trading and running around like chickens with their heads cut off, the mods said they would approve anything submitted to the site. they said they were doing this so they could make the species as bad as possible for when coy took it over, and mods were in the server being very apathetic about it and having an attitude like “idgaf what happens now because we have been getting treated like shit so this is finally the consequences.” this attitude can be seen in the screenshots included here too
during this chaos, people could also ask for myos to be uploaded to their acc for free, which mods would do. so tons of people got “illegitimate” myos. people used their illegal myos and real myos that had been purchased before the downfall to upload tons of characters and some joke characters too, like one that was just a PNG of ellen. during this huge chaos, people were also hating on coy and freely talking about things they disliked about how the species was run as opposed to the chokehold toxic positivity attitude that the server usually had. truly the most euphoric the server has ever been. some coy meat rider was also defending them, and got really aggressive about it and telling people to go fuck themselves (for which they got banned). someone else also made a branch-off server so people could stay in contact with their friends from the terra community seeing as the future was totally uncertain
after a while the “we are approving everything” stopped, and things were a bit more quiet. temul and some mods joined the branch-off server and gave some more deets about the shit coy would do. i also made my Big Post; initially this post was just gonna be positive stuff about how i has a discussion with tycho about suggesting things for the species, but after the announcement was made i was given screenshots to post here by a mod so i just threw it all in the same post. the Big Post made public opinion of coy a lot worse since now there were animal abuse allegations being talked about, but later on with further scrutiny the conclusion was reached that the screenshot was mainly coy exaggerating to try and be funny, but miserably failing. either way, public opinion of coy was and still is totally in the shitter.
the next day, mods put out another announcement that can be summed up as “lol sorry guys everyone get back to business” which is total bs to me considering the shit they were saying the very night before. so now they wanna try and reign in this species when they already did irreparable damage, and now people are switching up and acting like nothing ever happened (i assume its because mods are gonna be looking for new staff soon and they want a piece of the pie lmao)
to fix the monumental fucking issue they created for no reason, they put out another announcement (which i forgot to post here oops sorry pookies)
so basically what theyre gonna do is:
- if you uploaded character(s) that night using illegal MYO(s), you can choose ONE to unvoid (with any changes that need to be made in order to be legal if you have illegal traits and stuff, like for example eyes + mouth), the unvoided terra will be account bound and non voucherable
- if you had an illegal myo from that night but DIDNT use it, or if you didnt get any illegal myos at all, there will be a form to fill out where you can get one free MYO that will create any subtype up to modified (meaning no limited subtypes), the MYO will be account bound until designed. theyre also in the process of figuring out whether theyll give people the choice of using x amount of lim traits or having the terra be voucherable. some of it is still up in the air
- if you used a legal myo to upload your terra, there will be a process a little down the line for you to get your myo and any items back
and this is where were at now, people in the terra server are acting like everythings normal and going along with the toxic positivity mob once more, people in the branch-off server are freely expressing their grievances as they did that night, and im pissed off because i think its a little unfair that people will get to unvoid their lim terras meanwhile other people only get up to a modified. hand out lim myos instead of modified, why are we STILL doing the artificial scarcity youre all acting just like coy

On the future of TFA SG
From time to time I'll get messages about when/if I will be updating the SG comic. Lately I had been considering quickly sketching over whatever needs filling in and just dumping part 2/3 of the latest comic. While many parts of it will be filled with incomplete art at least people can get a conclusion to the comic as that story was meant to serve as a starting point/"origin" of the AU my friend and I had created.
As you can tell I found myself working on other things than the comic since it's not my job and I don't get paid for it. Making those comics were fun and rewarding as it was great practice for learning how to make comics which I've applied to my own creations/stories. Heck just this year I began working on a dating sim with this same friend that I think has a lot of potential. When that will release I can't say but I hope others look forward to updates on it's status and when it's complete.
It may disappoint some but I had planned on after uploading parts 2/3 of that story I would probably cease making more comics. In total that comic would be 18 pages long, and that's a lot of work for a fan comic that makes no money and is done in my free time. Especially when I'm sort of mimicking an art style that isn't mine. That's a lot of work for one artist who's laying out the comics, sketching, inking, colors, etc. I still like the potential TFA SG has, but any future art I do for it will probably be sketches or doodles. Maybe an illustration here or there if I get a really good idea or if I'm commissioned.
I want to thank people that followed me for my TF content especially TFA SG in general. It's a niche I was able to fill in but I have other interests + real life to deal with. This year had many changes in my life and more are to come. The AU does come to my mind from time to time, especially after I attended TFCon last week. I appreciate the fandom for being filled with mostly chill people and even ones that support talent in the fandom. I bought my PC in 2021 and got to attend two TFCons thanks to commissions from Transformers fans.
Also an apology for not responding to DMs. Sometimes I forget or just don't have energy to respond as I treat Tumblr as a dumping site for my work. I'm much more active on Twitter but as we know that site has gone down the shitter. I'm not too bummed about that though as I've gone to other alternatives such as Blue Sky. I also post on Newgrounds as that's a site that allows for actual feedback from others. I also just got verified on Vgen too.
Also a huge thanks to those that came for my Transformers art in general but stayed regardless of what I draw. Whether it be because you like my style or we have similar tastes I do appreciate it immensely.

I second anon's pain. There's an author I used to follow and I loved their work, only to find out that they are pro-ship. I confronted them over email about it (the author being a person who has STRONGLY condemned abusive shit in their work before, hence me having no warning) and said author basically told me to fuck off and that they hated anything to do with "censorship". I returned all their books pretty quickly. I wish I could have gotten my money back, but whatever. At least I'm not supporting a pedoshitter anymore. What's even WORSE is that a few of my IRL friends really love their work. I've tried explaining what pro-shipping is and why it's bad, but they either don't understand or are pro-shit lite. I don't want to ditch my IRLs. They're the only people in my high school who really understand me (bullying is very real where I am and the teachers do nothing). It hurts to hear them talking about a person's books I really enjoyed before and know that they're supporting a really bad person. Anyways. Sorry. I don't know where I'm going with this other than pro-shitters suck and I hate them.

I hate what AI art has done to my enjoyment of art. I also hate AI art for multiple other reasons, but that is one of them.
Now instead of enjoying a piece for composition or colour or plain just "this looks pretty" I am instantly suspicious. Sus, one might say. I go through the piece with a fine toothed comb. Is there an inconsistent detail? A mistake a human wouldn't make so far in the process? A weird hand?
Most of AI art trying to pass as art (that I've seen) is heavily rendered, meaning a real artist should've spent hours or days on that thing, chipping away, seeing the piece, which means more opportunities to correct mistakes made in sketch or any other part of the process; it also implies that the artist has some experience and skill, and knowledge of their medium. Art tools, references, etc. Whether you like or dislike their style, their designs or concepts is another matter entirely. This is pure art analysis.
Let's expand:
- Inconsistent details: This is not "this comic artist forgot to copy a detail from panel to panel". This is forgetting bilateral symmetry. This is having fish from the same species have different fin placement. This is weird windows in a normal building, this is breaking a pattern up for no discernible reason. This is a line not connecting with another. This is a detail that shouldn't be there, be there. The AI is good at replicating how something looks, but is bad at paying attention to concepts in the foundation, and it shows with these little details. Concepts that are easily understood by humans by just looking at references and doing sketches.
- A mistake/uncanny wrongness: when you look at a piece for so long, at the same time your back suffers from the unhealthy posture you torture it with, you start seeing mistakes, or things you want to change, or improve, or remove. Like "that pose could be better" or "I forgot this in the background", or "this colour doesn't look good", or "this pattern is too concentrated, I'd better space this element out". An AI doesn't have observational skills or these thought processes. It's also hilariously bad at replicating text. If something feels uncanny, I have to think "did a human make this decision?" or "is the anatomy even correct? the perspective? the colours? the fucking text? it's the fucking text isn't it."
I would offer more specific examples of these, but I try to avoid AI art the second I feel the uncanny wrongness, I have the tag filtered. Once a detail is wrong in a wrong way (I'm not talking an artist accidentally drawing two right hands, I'm talking fingers coming out of fingers) I start to see other mistakes or uncanny decisions. It boils down to the little details.
AI is "trained" (stealing, copying) on multiple other pieces of art. But it copies without understanding. When an artist copies they're trying to understand, they are studying what they copy, and usually they are appreciating what they study. That's why they're called "studies", and they're often properly credited. When they borrow another's style (like Rembrandt) people often say "drawn in a Rembrandt style". AI doesn't do studies, doesn't understand, doesn't credit the thousands of artworks they've stolen from. Because it's thousands, millions. If you tell an AI to generate a painting in a Rembrandt style, you bet your ass the AI is using Rembrandt AND thousand other pieces from different people. But the person posting the AI art says "piece from X AI software in a Rembrandt style!", and that's even if they disclose that it's AI. They don't know which pieces and which artists have been stolen from for that piece. Hey, maybe the AI didn't even copy real Rembrandt pieces. Maybe it's not even Rembrandt style.
I am no longer able to enjoy heavily-rendered, semi-realistic pieces. And the moment AI art encroaches on other styles, we're fucked. Suspicion is such a killjoy, a party shitter and pooper. I hate feeling suspicion every time I see a piece, and I hate feeling right even more.
