Charles Leclerc x Fem!Reader

Warnings: cheesy boyfriend charles, horrible artistic skills, pascale knows you two are just idiots in love, first christmases together.

Author's Note: charles seems like the type of guy to go to his mom when he's stuck on what to give as a gift so here we are lmao

Charles goes a bit over board seeing that it’s your first Christmas with him, as his girlfriend that is. He revives an old tradition you two had as children.

The thing about lifelong friendships, they often leave a little to no room for a surprise.

So on you and Charles, your lifelong best friend, finally being to date, there isn't much he could do to surprise you.

It's your first Christmas together as a couple officially, and Charles just wants to do something to make it special for you. He's tried to do everything he could think of, from googling to Pinterest to asking his brothers, who let's be real, weren't much help. He finally turned to the one person he knows would have an answer for him.

"Maman, je ne sais pas quoi faire." (Mom, I don't know what to do.) Charles's chin rests on the palm of his hand, watching as his mom cuts the fruit at the kitchen counter

Pascale hums, as if in thought for a moment before she speaks. "Why don't you stuff a stocking for her?"

"I'm not 6 years old, maman." He huffs, his brows furrowed and she smiles - he looked exactly like he did when he was 6 years old right now.

"I know that Charles, but when you guys were little you used to exchange stockings, remember? You draw her a picture and we put sweets and little toys in for her."

Charles tries to think, it sounded familiar and he nods. "Yeah, okay."

"Are you staying for lunch ?" The woman asks and he shakes his head, kissing her cheek after he gets up. "I'll be back tomorrow, love you!" He shouts to her as he heads out the door.

He has the shops with one thing in mind, find you a stocking that suited you best. He searches and searches and with no luck does he find one with a picture that suits you. Finally in a last ditch effort, he ends up in some random shop that sold random odds and ends for Christmas.

There's a blue stocking with snowflakes, and printed along the side of it with your initials on the top; Charles thinks what is his luck to find this.

He pays the man at the counter and heads home with the stocking shoved into the bag. He had picked up a few things he thought you'd like while he was at the other store.

The stocking sits on the coffee table, filled with all your favourite beauty products, sweets, and a few other odds and ends that Charles thinks that you might need or like.

He was working on the last thing that he wanted to put in, a drawing of you and him in front of his race car, which was, in his words, rather poorly drawn.

He folds the paper carefully, slipping it into the side of the stocking before picking it up to put it away before you come home.

It was as if he summoned you, the front door opened and in you came with a bag in hand. "Hi love," you smiled.

Charles's hands are behind his back and he's a bit shifty. You look at your boyfriend with raised eyebrows. "You okay?"

"I have something for you," he says, pulling the stocking out from behind his back.

You can't help but laugh, a big smile on your face as you reach into the bag that you brought in with you. You pull out a red stocking with Christmas trees on it and show Charles.

"Did you talk to my mom?" He asks, as you two switch stockings. You nod, smiling, "I guess you did too."

It was no surprise that you and Charles found your way to each other, you are identical in almost every way. The stockings contain a few of the same things, the same sweets, the same drawings.

To be fair, your drawing was a bit better than Charles' but it's the thought that counts.

Your hand rests on his jaw, giving him a kiss. "thank you baby, this is the sweetest thing you could have done."

Tristamp rewatch, episode 2! Took me a little longer to get to this because I think episode 2 is like,,,, I never have anything to say about it lmao I don't have too many background details.

Nevertheless, below the cut [Not so long today!] are some theories, details, and character traits I've picked up on today's fine tooth comb rewatch! Also once again spoilers for Tristamp and Trimax.

Once again thanks to @tristampparty for organizing this, I'm having fun :]

So! In sharp contrast with yesterday, I realized that we have a little bit more of Knives in that opening crash sequence - his face is less covered and the camerawork less Vashcentric. I am possibly the worst person to analyze expressions (I have That particular Autism Thing where I often misinterpret people's faces) but here are a few I found interesting

He just looks a little. again not good at interpreting expressions but anxious? scared, a little upset? I'm not entirely sure he understood how,,, violent the ship exploding would be - and Vash is clearly very very distressed. Also the dark circles under his eyes in that last one - he might have been crying. Much to think about.

Okay this scene, aside from being really funny, is Frustratingly Overlooked imo. Vash's whole,,, pathetic wet sona thing is often intentionally played up in order for him to get people to see him as less of a threat/weaker/more peaceful. And then to have Meryl and Roberto go yeah no we aren't buying that, Instantly calling him out on his bullshit is interesting.

I guess just as Wolfwood sees through Vash's smiles in 98/Trimax, Roberto and Meryl call him out on his schtick here. I also think that he's doing it more exaggerated than normal to kind of change the subject/alter some perceptions of him.

Rai-Dei spotted, and Nightow! Slightly higher quality because I realized I was watching in 720p instead of 1080 because I,,,, i don't know why lmao. anyway i like that nightow gets his own little poster its cute

I guess now would be the time to talk about children in Trigun. So as it goes on I'll build on this, but the fact that so many characters in Trigun are motivated by children is very very important to me; Rosa and the people of Jeneora Rock go after Vash not for themselves, but so they can have the money for their children. Father Nebraska appeals to Rosa to help him get Gofsef up on safe land again by pointing out that he's a father too.

A common trait amongst Trigun characters is their protectiveness of children - Wolfwood (obviously), Vash, Meryl, Roberto and Milly clearly, but Knives and Legato leave the children alive in that one town in 98, Livio in Trimax learns to see children as kinda cute - and the arguably most unsympathetic character, Chapel, is kinda the only guy that hurts/abuses children with 0 remorse. Hate that guy lmao.

It reads to me like a bunch of people wanting to break the cycle of abuse on this planet. but they don't really know how :(

On a lighter note, some screencaps I grabbed for fun, ft: The Thomas Loaf

my closing thought is about Roberto. So clearly he's, yknow, there instead of Milly (unforgivable /lh), but he and Milly have some interesting parallels and ideas - Primarily their observational skills.

In trimax, when Milly interacts with Vash, a lot of the time she's calling out strange expressions or oddities on him - in legato's appearance, that time she asks him why he's still smiling, and the arc where Meryl gets kidnapped.

Roberto is serving a similar role in observing and calling things out about Vash, but he's a little more,,, rough about it. He's nowhere near as (outwardly, the man's got a big heart) caring as Milly! I think it'll be good for Meryl to have Milly in s2 :]

Speaking of Meryl, I appreciate that she definitely has at least someone observational with her, especially while she's less experienced. I love her very much but she happens to be a very stubborn very impulsive person lmao. She definitely needs a balancing.

Trailblazer, Physical: Baseball bat hit body, ouch

Trailblazer, Fire: They wanted that really cool imagery of us helping to melt the Eternal Freeze

March 7th, Ice: Her whole thing is she was found in Six-Phased Ice

Dan Heng, Wind: Spear go woosh through the air, it's also called Cloud Piercer which sounds pretty windy to me

Asta, Fire: That spectrum beam looks like it would burn you pretty bad

Arlan, Lightning: I am fairly certain his skill is him electrocuting himself for the extra adrenaline

Natasha, Physical: Massive bullet hit body, ouch

Pela, Ice: I think it's just bc she's with the Silvermane Guards, nothing about her attacks scream "ice" to me

Hook, Fire: Diggertron produces flames (seriously who let her keep that thing)

Serval, Lightning: Music is electrifying (also that's an electric guitar)

Qingque, Quantum: Digital = quantum in HSR and celestial jade tiles are digital (...I'm pretty sure)

Herta, Ice: I guess the diamond is cold...and looks like ice...? Maybe they're linking crystals with ice bc of how they look

Tingyun, Lightning: Yeah I got nothing. Most of her animations don't even have lightning anywhere in them?

Sushang, Physical: Big sword hit body, ouch

Sampo, Wind: Blades go woosh through the air

Himeko, Fire: That massive laser DEFINITELY burns

Clara, Physical: Big robot punch body, ouch

Bronya, Wind: Small bullet go woosh through the air (it's straight up called Windrider Bullet)

Gepard, Ice: The shield he makes is a massive wall of ice like. My god man.

Bailu, Lightning: Resuscitation requires electricity (also water isn't a type but if it was...)

Yanqing, Ice: His swords seem to be made of ice (also he needed the Jingliu parallels)

Welt, Imaginary: If those black holes were real then...wouldn't everything just be gone...? (idk HI3 lore so I might be missing smth)

Seele, Quantum: Girl moves so fast it breaks quantum physics

Jing Yuan, Lightning: Two words. Lightning-Lord.

Silver Wolf, Quantum: Everything she does is digital, also aether editing probably breaks quantum physics too

Luocha, Imaginary: Those spirit-like things in his ultimate just seem imaginary, also he just radiates the colour yellow which doesn't explain anything but it's all I got

Yukong, Imaginary: Gonna be real idk, that bow looks pretty real, I'm kind of wondering why she isn't wind (probably the severe lack of imaginary characters at the time she came out)

Blade, Wind: They had to make it clear he's connected to Dan Heng yk? Also his swords probably go woosh through the air

Kafka, Lightning: Her strings have a similar colour to the lightning icon and so does her general design, it would be weird for her to be anything else. Also there's lightning in her animations so something is producing it

Luka, Physical: Big metal fist hit body, ouch (this boy wants to be fire so bad)

Dan Heng IL, Imaginary: He's basically controlling that water with his mind, right?

Fu Xuan, Quantum: Idk how to word it but. Quantum just makes sense here like I have no questions about it but I can't explain it. Edit: The Matrix of Prescience is a supercomputer tysm for reminding me!!!

Lynx, Quantum: Literally nothing about Lynx feels quantum like her weapon is an ice pick and her healing stuff is physical objects...do you think Lynx and Pela are such good besties that they swapped types?

Jingliu, Ice: Look at that really cool ice sword

Topaz and Numby, Fire: Numby creates so much friction spinning like that it burns the enemy lmao (also the blaster Topaz uses might use lasers? It looks like a mix of money and some sort of beam)

Guinaifen, Fire: Girlie is literally throwing firecrackers at her enemies

Huohuo, Wind: If she waves that flag fast enough she creates a little gust of wind!

Argenti, Physical: Big spear hits multiple bodies, ouch (ignore the roses)

Hanya, Physical: This is the only physical character I can't explain like she's hitting her enemies with ink and chains that didn't exist two seconds ago...I think HYV just don't wanna give siblings the same type but she could've been imaginary

Ruan Mei, Ice: ...Maybe it matches her personality? Or it's a women of the Genius Society thing?

Dr. Ratio, Imaginary: Nobody actually believes the building he's dropping is real, right?

Xueyi, Quantum: This is another one that I can't put into words but just makes sense to me, something about the chains just materialising and the colours

TL;DR - If in doubt, look at their weapon and how they use it, except sometimes that doesn't explain anything either (if that's the case...look at their hair colour maybe...?)

Feel free to offer corrections or further explanations bc obviously I don't have everyone so I'm mostly going off what I can see from their animations

the potato soup did not deal me a mortal blow, most fortunately; I have, for all my grousing, in fact been tempted to make that soup again now that fall is truly here. the reason it's come screeching to a halt is because I, in all my (non) infinite wisdom, decided that hey: I've done the recipes that are probably tasty, like cornbread or potato soup. I should try one of the weirder ones and see if LMM's cooking skills still hold up! Logical? Logical!

and so I landed on my next recipe. and the reason that it's come screeching to a halt as mentioned above is because...well...

the recipe involves peas. it involves onions. it involves sugar. there are lettuce leaves in there somewhere. and most importantly, the source of all my hesitation, all of these relatively normal ingredients are bound together for life in jello. it's jello peas.

i know jello-everything was pretty common at one point (at least to my impression), but I cannot fathom this tasting good. and what I make, I shall have to eat (wizard hat roommate very sweetly told me she would eat it but I can't have that on my conscience). it's true that I could simply pick a different recipe, but i'm stubborn. this is the chosen one, and this is the one I shall make next. And, quite frankly, I do not have the courage lmao. Vinegar and onions...okay that makes sense...with peas...well fine...sugar too...huh I guess that could work...in jello??? ummmm....with LETTUCE LEAVES...!!!

One bright day in the future, maybe i'll wake up with a steel backbone (and a steel stomach) and decide to make those jello peas, but until then, they haunt me.

🏒What was your first impression of hockey? Why? Has it changed? If so, why?

I guess my first impression was those 2012-14 era tumblr posts that would compare nationalities or talk about stereotypical things from different countries? So hockey to me always seemed like the quirky silly canadian sport (bagged milk, maple syrup, winter, eh?) equivalent to football here (US), but like I didn't really think about sports ever.

it's hard to pick out one thing because i often interpret the totality of a person (like their vibe ig?) before i focus on any details. this is not to say that i dont focus on details i absolutely do but that's often long after i've determined the person has an interesting vibe based off their outfit/the way they carry themselves/etc

Eye color?

hazel. i think? like a light brown with greenish bits in the central heterochromia zone

Scary movies or happy ending?

hard to say tbh! I like a neat ending (not necessarily a happy one) and both scary movies and 'happy ending' movies tend to have neat endings (or at least neat enough to set-up for a sequel LOL). I like both, it all kinda depends on my mood

Special talent?

oh i struggle so hard with this question... like, i have several things i am moderately good at (writing, drawing, et cetera) but ive never been especially skilled or talented at a single thing like other people are. jack of all trades master of none that's the kinda bitch i am. also sidenote but i think talent isn't real. if it is real it describes nothing but someones desire to practice a given thing which then makes them good at it. nobodys born good at shit. prodigies are fake and they are all lying to u!!!!

Your hobbies?

lol. hobbies... what are those! no frfr i play video games write fanfic and once in a while when i have the energy to set up a workspace i like doing very hands-on sculptural art like papier mache and clay sculpture.

no i wish :( want a cat so bad but our aint shit landlord (who tbf is usually really fine and normal and chill so i guess there had to be ONE THING at least that sucked abt him) said no

Playing any sport?

LOL. no. fuck sports..... except i like watching basketball because those men are freaks of nature in the best way and i like to imagine in ancient times we'd have them do feats of strength like climbing up a very steep mountain face. i just love those lengthy boys. kevin durant especially is such an extruded guy every time he falls during a game (which as it turns out is way more often than i thought) im like okay this time his legs have to have snapped in half. and they dont! probably because he drinks his milk or w/e. takes him vitamines. wild shit. anyway yeah i dont do sports

How tall..?

5'7 last time i checked.... imo the perfect height. not too short not too tall but also not too medium. on the tall side of medium sized. love being this height.

Favourite subject in school?

hard to say bc it depended so much on the teacher but i loved most of my english classes and a good amount of my history classes. history is sooo girlypop to me like we're truly just sharing 100+ year old gossip like it's not nosy as fuuuuuck

Dream job:

i do not dream of labor but i think the ideal job for me is one that doesn't feel like it's sucking 100% of my soul out my mouth (will settle for like 30 to 50% soul sucking) and hopefully serves to help other people through creative expression (because i dont know how to do anything else LMAO). i basically have that job rn but it's still Hard and Annoying so i suppose nothing will ever b perfect

I was planning to resurrect my primary blog before the Twitter rations but I guess this is as good a time as any. It's not like I'm active on my other social media actually.

To anyone still following this blog, I'll be using this as my main art blog moving forward. @sporky365 still contains my previous work, and I'll be reblogging some of the recent ones here to share my current skill level. I think I'll just stay very casual here with WIPs, maybe diary comics again, the new hobbies I picked up. Just gonna make sharing what I do fun.

this got a bit long lmao under the cut it goes

Fave: Claude

I've made one of my other unpopular opinions about him - that I don't give a shit about his rendition of the diary scene - pretty clear already, so I guess another unpopular opinion I have is that I also don't really give a shit about his S support?

Like, do I think it - or at least the context before it - could have been done better? Yeah, and I actually added a bit to my rewrite covering that after thinking about this very thing a bit (in the Misc. section, with the jist being that it's more foreshadowed in his route specifically that he's going to leave). But like, the most common complaint with it that I've personally seen is that he thrusts Byleth into a leadership position, but like... what else can realistically happen that would perfectly soothe both characters?

Cuz Rhea's dead, Dimitri's dead, Edelgard's dead - all leaders are dead, and since the game is stupid and doesn't allow side characters to be integral to the main story (meaning Felix, Ferdinand, and Seteth can't just take over these empty roles should they be alive) that leaves exactly two characters left on VW to be able to take on the role of leader of Fodlan: Claude or Byleth. Both of whom, mind, are someone people don't mind being the one to take over, so even with Byleth's inexperience with leading the people still have their faith in them.

And so if we go with the idea that Claude stays and leads Fodlan, Byleth just... does nothing? And just stay his side? Because if Byleth is unqualified to lead Fodlan then she'd be pretty much just as unqualified to lead the Church, so being archbishop is out. Does she stay by Claude's side long enough to pick up leadership skills? But how long would that take? Months, years? And what about Claude? It is specifically his ending with Byleth that shows that the Almyran throne can be taken in as little a time as a few months after he leaves Fodlan, so during that time Claude would most likely lose out on his dream of being able to lead Almyra - and depending on who takes the throne, that could be quite devastating.

So imo, it seems like it's either Byleth gets left in Fodlan to figure out the being the leader thing while Claude sets out to fight for the Almyran throne, or Claude (very likely, especially given the context of specifically Claude and Byleth's paired ending) gives up his dreams of being Almyra's king to stay by Byleth. Or, in a more cynical viewpoint, either Byleth can put on the big-boy pants and learn to lead or Claude falls into the "I'll give up my dreams for you <3" shitty trope.

That being said though their paired ending sucks major ass and I hate it. This is also something I ended up tweaking in the rewrite lmaooo but basically instead of Byleth becoming a useless damsel for Claude to swoop in and save her, having it to where they send correspondence to each other past the border lines (with Claude giving her advice she asks for, eventually growing into them giving mutual support in leadership) would make both a more unique ending and one where Byleth doesn't suddenly become incompetent in the literal one area of expertise they have.

Least fave: Balthus

I. Hate this guy so much lmao. Which might itself be an unpopular opinion, because at least recently I've seen a good bit of love - or at least positive vibes - for the guy. Fuck if I know why, this guy's a total asshole.

And while I have also gotten into this specific reason why I don't like Balthus before, I don't feel like digging for the fairly old post lmao so here it is again: I can't stand his supports with Claude and they account for a solid 70% of the reason at minimum as to why I can't stand him. It's already bad enough that he dangles extremely sensitive information about Claude over his head - which, mind, this is most likely to happen in pre-timeskip, when Claude is at max 18 and Balthis is at minimum 26 - and already it gets even worse when it's revealed that the reason this 26 year old grown ass man is threating someone nearly a decade younger than him is just because he wants to talk to said younger someone's mom who barely knows him, but the cherry on top is that this never gets resolved!

Balthus never takes back his blackmail, even by the end of the support chain - his saying that he Totally Wouldn't Sell Claude Out For Money He Swears is then literally immediately followed by him saying that he wouldn't do that because he "knows" that Claude won't go back on their "promise." That promise that Claude never made and makes clear he never made and that "promise" (read: blackmail) being "I won't rat you out if you let me meet your mom" meaning that Balthus never stepped back and thought "huh, wait a minute, maybe blackmailing someone with extremely sensitive information that could put them in danger is, like, kinda shitty of me to do actually" but no it's just a big haha funny joke don't take it serious guys Balthus is just a hoot n' holler.

It's ass, and I wish I could delete specifically Balthus from the game Doki Doki Literature Club style. Doesn't help that he's a gambling moocher which is a trait that already is kinda hard for me personally to like. I rank him Barely Above Makolov/10 for at least providing some neat bits of lore, if nothing else

being a masochist and it seems a few reviewers were also, I'm not, I'm a sadist, so hopefully you can take pride in knowing that your work is beloved by masochists /and/ sadists alike lmao I'm sorry this was so long but this was certainly not the typical fanfic reading experience for me and you deserve to know how much your work effects readers imo. You have amazing skill, and I would love to know how you do it, especially the suspense! Also if you're still playing the ask game, 13 please! :) 💙

13. Describe your writing style. If you were to participate in an anonymous fic writers guessing game (like The Masked Author), what writing habits do you have that would be a dead giveaway that it's you?

Hahahahahahahahahaha, I do have my writing quirks and I'm very much aware of them. Some things I'm guilty of doing all the time include:

Characters staring at each other: I use the word "stare" a LOT, and if you want to know why, it's because I decided to stop trying to avoid using it. Because there aren't really any other words that mean the same thing, and when you're writing angst, staring allows for a lot of poignant moments and mood-building.

Long silences and characters saying nothing: I often write "he said nothing" or "he didn't reply" when two or more characters are having a conversation. Sometimes I'll write them doing an action instead, but a lot of the time, I want to make it clear that the character is either intentionally being quiet or is truly doing nothing, they're not moving or "picking at their cuticles" or "playing with their hair," they are simply not speaking. And this is also something that I do to set a particular mood or atmosphere.

Run-on sentences in free indirect speech: To convey panicked or frenetic thinking, I think it's fun to write whole paragraphs where there are no pauses or punctuation at all, just freaked-out sentences bleeding into the next or words and phrases repeated several times in a row. Because even if it confuses or disorients the reader, that's fine because you're not really supposed to fully understand exactly what they're thinking when I do that, you're supposed to just get the sense of what they're feeling.

Em dashes, italicized words, capitalized words, and paragraph breaks: I really like using em dashes to break up paragraphs— and lines—! and italicizing words— AND capitalizing words— because they're great great GREAT for building a particular mood!

I also used to play with formatting a bit more. I did it a few times in Disparaged, like this part in the "bad" ending:

I haven't really been doing that as much lately, though. I actually experimented and played around a LOT while writing Disparaged and then I didn't experiment during Dissembled for some reason. But maybe I can try to do that again.

I don't know if any of these would be a dead giveaway that it's me, but there you go!

Imma leave a quick one off thing from my Fantroll thing here. It has next to no context, but that's whatever I just need to get this interaction out of my head lmao

An interaction between Hellia and The Music Man.

You name is Hellia Nardam, and you are PISSED. So pissed in fact, that you completely abandon your friends and go to be pissed off in the now empty gathering tree. You sit down on one of the stumps in the hall. Staring at the elaborate mixture of nature and technology. Akkian being stubborn as fuck about not wanting some sterile ass concrete box to ruin his land seems to have given way for, what you consider, to be a very snazzy deco style. What were you mad about again? Oh yeah, Propin, being the prick he is, FUCKING BROKE YOUR HOOK AND DIDN'T HAVE THE GUYS TO TELL YOU! That tiny prick. The fact he lied pisses you off more the fucking hook. Hooks are ultimately replaceable. Doesn't matter to you if it's from an alchemiter or the skilled hands of a professional craftsmen.

Either way, you need a moment to chill the fuck out. So you resign yourself to the hall. There you notice the piano in the corner of the room and, right next to it, the record player. You never understood why Xennox was so fascinated with the stupid thing. That tech is ancient and no where near as good as the pristine music of a piano that literally right next to it. You decide to prove this fact to yourself, a distraction always helps you with anger! You start playing one of, if not, the greatest songs to ever exist, at least in your humbly objective opinion. "+I+ans fall on the keys" truly, a beautiful song encapsulating all the beauty of the piano. Regardless, you begin playing, the song flowing through you like a gentle wave, crashing and hitting shore, but always returning to it's place of origin. Then you hear the crackle of the record player pick up. You immediately stop and lol around.

But there was no response. The record player continued crackling, as if it was trying to play something.

You get up from your seat and slowly approach the record player. It's silver thoroughly tarnished and it's once deep black paint worn and giving way to the wook underneath, somehow still holding itself together. Then you notice something peculiar, the arm isn't down. It isn't anywhere near the record, hell, the record isn't even spinning. You state at it, confused.

Suddenly the crackling stops, and gives way to a deep sigh. You are stunned. Did that fucking record player just SIGH??? You scramble to get your thoughts together and say something, anything, but then, you hear a voice ring out

So, because I'm in need of practice and I'm just generally curious, I decided to translate A Chrome's lines. My Chinese isn't very good lol so these are going to be rough but! It'll be a fun time. Please look elsewhere if you want better translations.

For "roger," he uses 是 which is comparable to hai in Japanese. Hai, in this context is usually translated as “sir” or “yes sir” but I just went with roger lol. I'm sure there's another phrase that actually is the equivalent to roger or ryokai)

(This one seemed incomplete to me, but Strike Hawk is a recon team I believe, so it does make sense. I just think he'd be more specific than that lol)

(Not super sure on the note from Kamui but omg lay off him, Chrome. Kamui is best boi)

What is there to like about normal things? It may be that organized things process more smoothly, which is easier on the ocean ego.

(Ocean ego is a term used by veteran players in their translations, so that's the term I picked. As for the normal/organized thing, think of it like computer processing. Kinda unsure but, it's translated.)

Concerning Kamui's temporary deployment application... It's not that I disagree, it's just that if you need assistance, I would also like to help.

(“It’s not that I disagree” is a pretty literal translation. Could also be interpreted as “It’s not that I won’t approve it.”)

Regardless of whether it's in combat or in spirit, a team leader must be strictly disciplined and lead by example. The most important thing is to guarantee safety. As long as you understand my meaning.

(For this one, I feel like specifying that it's through Chrome and commandant's private channel is unnecessary lol)

(Two versions, because the first one is really literal.爲你 is basically “with you in mind” or “for your sake” and the literal translation can be interpreted as he’s doing your work)

(Okay that second sentence is kind of loosely translated lol. Literally it's "If you have rankings in your heart, I want to be first place" which Idk. I don't particularly like my translation either, but it's less janky.)

(I think what he’s trying to say is the idea that one is born into greatness is a boring idea lol)

(ugh okay nerd time, the English just doesn’t convey how much I love this line in CN, but I don’t know how to render it in English without changing it significantly. Literally, it’s like “Why is Kamui always here? I think I can understand his… feelings” but like ugh. You get the point. It’s very much a realization that the Commandant and Grey Raven are people he really enjoys being around and ugh. Am in my feelings about it.)

(Not 100% sure of how to translate 聽從指令. Literally, it’s “hearing orders” but I can’t remember the exact phrase in military jargon help ;0;)

Drama Class

Genre: Collage AU!, Acting AU!, Drama, Angst, Fluff, Smut

Summary: Drama class has always been your safe space, a place for you to show off your amazing acting abilities, but when the new student, Kim Seokjin, joins your class, you find it hard to keep up.

Warnings: handjob, sex without protection, language... I think that's it :/

Finally, the second to last class of the day is almost over. You stare at the clock, waiting for it to hit 1:20 pm. Then, at 1:19, you finally hear it.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

You pick up your things and launch out of your boring Calculus class, heading o your favorite class of the day. Drama class. On your way there, however, you bump into some kid who is obviously not watching where he's going. Just as you go to tell him off he says,

"I'm so sorry, I'm trying to find my last class, uhh, room 304. Do you happen to know where that is?"

"Actually, yes I'm headed there now. You can come with me. Drama class right?"

"Yes, thank you.”

“Don’t mention it.”

You both walk to drama class very awkwardly. Once you guys get inside he sits right next to you, making you uncomfortable. He looks at you and whispers while the teacher is explaining the improve assignment for the day.

"My name is Jin by the way. You?"

"Oh, I'm y/n."

"Very pretty name y/n. How long have you been acting? Personally I like to act but I like singing way more. I actually take these vocal lessons and…”

God, he talks a lot, you think to yourself. You ignore him and ask the teacher to go to bathroom, needing a serious break from his constant talking. When you come back to class you see that kid Jin making everyone laugh with his improve skills. Even your teacher was getting along with him perfectly, as if he had been in this class since the beginning of the school year. This definitely made you upset. That should be you in front of the class, humoring people with your improve skills. Who does he think he is to show up and come for your spot like that?

As the school year continued, your dislike for Jin only grew stronger. In drama class, he always got the main roles. He looked at you with a smile that you greatly despise. Maybe your paranoia was getting to you but something was telling you that behind that smile was a person who was selfish and deviant. These thoughts led you to distance yourself from him, making smart remarks whenever he would practice or perform. He didn't really know your reasons for hating him but he knew for sure that you did.

On your way to drama class make eye contact with Jin who is talking to someone down the hall. You quickly break eye contact and speed down the hall as he tries to catch up with you.

"y/n! wait up!"

When Jin finally catches up you both walk in silence until he speaks up.

"have you been okay lately?" he asks you. "You hardly show up to drama class and when you do no one really notices, well except me.”

"oh yeah, I'm okay. I just kinda gave up."

"what? why? you love acting."

"Because... you showed up"

"Wow. you know, I had I feeling you didn't like me for some reason, but why? I have done nothing to!"

You both stop walking, now raising your voice in the middle of the hallway.

"Done nothing to me? Ever since you joined the class you have made everything difficult for me! You take my spot in class. You get all of the main roles. Why does everything come easy for you? You can't just-"

Jin cuts you off by wrapping his arms around your waist and passionately kissing you, you kissing him back. He smiles into the kiss and you slowly pull away.

"I'm sorry that I made you feel that way. It wasn't my intention, I swear.”

"Well you did", you say trying to still stay mad at him.

"I guess I just wanted to impress you, and everyone else, but more importantly you." You look at him confusingly. Why would he do that? I mean it’s understandable that he show what he can do to the teacher, but why was your opinion so important?

"Impress me? Why would you feel the need to impress me?"

"Because y/l/n y/n, if you haven’t noticed yet, I like you. I mean I really wanted to get to know you but you started ghosting me and-"

You pull him in for another kiss, cutting him off. He kisses you back and wraps his arms around your waist, smiling into the kiss.

"I like you too Kim Seokjin. I guess it just took me a while to realize it. And I’m sorry for being so jealous towards you. I can be a little oblivious and in my head sometimes."

"A little?" He remarks.

You giggle like a a little school girl and playfully hit his arm. You wonder what will happen now that you both have expressed your feelings for each other. Would you go on a date? Or maybe he doesn't want to be with you after you judged him. As if he could read your mind he says,

"Drama class is over in like 10 minutes so there's no real point in going. How about I take you to one of my favorite thinking spots on campus?" You smile and nod. With that he grabs your hand and gently pulls you out of the back doors of the main building, guiding you a secluded tree in the Uni's garden. Surrounding the tree are beautiful roses and tulips.

"Wow, this is so pretty", you say, sitting next to Jin in the grass. "How often do you come here?"

"Pretty often. I usually come here when I need to clear my head or ponder on things. It's always quiet over here, easy for me to just take a break from everything."

You gaze over at Jin, who is playing with the tulips next to him. He looks so perfect. With the sun beaming on one side of his face and the wind blowing his silky hair. You feel like you've fallen in love, not just because of his appearance but also because of his wise words. When he realized how quiet you were being he turns toward you, only to catch you staring at him.

"Everything okay?"

"Kiss me."

He laughs at your sudden comment. "do what?" he says.

You smile at him. "I said kiss me dork."

He waste no time and does what he's told, entangling his hands in your hair and kissing you softly. The soft kiss turns in to a heated make out session under the tree. You climb onto his lap and shower his neck with kisses and love bites. As much as he wants to take it further he stops you there.
