Every so often, I remember how close to perfection season 1 of Sleepy Hollow was, and then how quickly and utterly the show runners fumbled that bag. I have been upset about TV shows before. I hated the ending of HIMYM, and you ALL know how I feel about Aang and the ending of ATLA, but Sleepy Hollow was a moment that needs to be studied in media literacy and history courses. Other shows have pissed me off, but I have never actually celebrated the ending of a show I once loved like I did with Sleepy.

Definitely interested in how he is driving here lmao. Smiley is just immune to the laws of the world either that or he has amazing jaw strength and doesn't need to see.

It'd be funny if some rival gang assumed he would be a weak target because of his closed eyes and then realised they were terribly mistaken after attacking him, Smiley smokes them all.

been playing bits and pieces of horizon forbidden west! game's pretty as hell

#horizon forbidden west #photo mode #my edits #yannow. it got me thinking too. the npc fidelity in this game is off the fucking shits. never seen anything like it #even secondary dialogues are leaving all the competition in the dust. it's an insane level of work #major burnout red flags for sure. but also maybe talking about engines as specialized tools instead of ubiquitous ones isn;t so bad?#i mean there's definitely trends. ramming down RPGs down frostbite's throat has never worked well #while decima is tearing up the open worlds and tech fidelity quotas like nbd even on prev gen #is it really about implementation at this point #maybe some engines just. work best for certain types of hard goals. and choosing that right is what matters #i pkayed this after ragnarok and that game looks embarassing next to hfw. and I'm not even saying it flippantly. I stand by what i've said #shorter games less scope lower fidelity etc. for healthier dev teams. but this can be a scalability tell tale? maybe using something #like decima can mean an easier time for a standard EA dev cycle *without* hitting these insane fidelity goals. just thinking out loud #cause forever salty about frostbite. probably wrong but hey! ngl i love the naruto fic trend of 'kakashi goes back in time and has to try to fix everything'

#it's so common but also 90% of those fics i've read have been SUPER good #i've seen so many different slight variations on this too #naruto #i really enjoy a hokage-era kakashi because he's the most put together and likely to actually fuck shit up and not worry as much about being #like. suspicious.#an early naruto kakashi might have more time being lost in his memories when surrounded by everyone he lost #i've seen ones where kakashi goes back alone. where he and obito both go. where some of the kids go with him #read one that killed me recently where a post-series hokage kakashi switches places entirely with his younger self #(though what his younger self is experiencing in the future is told entierly through him suddenly remembering things that never happened #as if they were long ago #and witnessing this altering of time and memory. kakashi in the past elects to not tell his team anything about the future #even when minato asks him directly #he takes it as torture and doesn't break.#i read one once where kakashi went back to his child body but the sharingan came with him #i've read one where in his attempt to fix things he gets himself kidnapped in rin's stead and becomes host to sanbi #i've never seen this trend be as common in any fandom as it is with naruto #i guess cause kakashi's past is a series of horrible events that. wouldn't you like the chance to fix them

What's up with all these people going "violence is not the answer! violence is wrong!!!" when talking about a group of people who are defending themselves against being oppressed and attacked... like...

Yes, violence is never ok. But that is during times of peace. Unprompted Violence for the sake of no other reason than hate and discrimination is the one that is not ok.

But when people resort to violence to defend themselves, it's never their first response. There's always many attempts of talking, and running, and asking for help and screaming with no help coming. Violence happens when they get tired, and weary, and they finally snap.

why aren't trying to talk things through? Why aren't they trying to solve things peacefully? Well Sharon, they tried. Many times. And it didn't work. Because the other side laughed at them and stomped all over every single attempt.

And pointing your finger at the oppressed for snapping after so long while forgiving the other side who has been violent towards them while you turned a blind eye to it all this time, just makes you an hypocrite who defends the strong and punish the weak.
