#nothing beats the sheer joy of finding a document hidden somewhere in the first game #I’m trying to 100% the game currently and i love collecting all the weird records and correspondence #it makes the world incredibly rich and immersive #control 2019 #control remedy #something i really love about all the records is starting to recognize the characters who wrote them #learning more about dr darling or pope or kiran by seeing their voice in the docs #unbelievably excited for control 2 bc they can build off of established characters #control 1 barely explored their cast (fair enough with such a great original world)#but now they can build on that AND have a great enviornment

my Feline Blue AU is an alternate universe where, before picking ladybug and chat noir, Master Fu is hunted down and eventually murdered by Hawkmoth. Before he is killed, he passes guardianship down to Marinette, who happens to be an innocent passerby in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The kwamis explain everything to her, and after a long time of thinking, she decides to accept being guardian and begin fighting Hawkmoth. She knows she has to wield either the black cat or the ladybug, but having suddenly so much burden on her shoulders, the idea of being the hero that’s supposed to ‘save the day’ and ‘fix’ everything in the end is too overwhelming (and maybe the idea of being able to destroy anything she wants with a single touch is a bit too tempting after having so much of her life and choices ripped away). So, she becomes the black cat holder and Feline Blue comes into play!

I don’t want to give too much away as to how Adrien gets the earrings but I will tell you it is NOT Marinettes choice and she is NOT happy about it (but she doesn’t know it’s Adrien) :)

as for differences between canon - i’m going to try to follow the events of canon (as well as akumas), but i’m going to be altering them and adding new ones as well! but the main changes are:

The entire miracuclass gets different miraculous.

Marinette is much more reserved and passive, trying not to attract attention to her civilian self but ultimately isolating herself further in her role as guardian. She does still have her school friends, but she maintains a steady distance between all of them.

Marinette still has a crush on Adrien but that shit gets repressed hardcore.

Adrien wants to be Marinettes best friend and help get her out of her ‘shell’, much to her refusal.

Hawkmoth is a straight up murderer he doesn’t play around, which in turn makes Feline a bit ruthless.

Fu is gone, leaving only the kwamis to guide Marinette.

Chapters 3 and 4 are currently in the works, where we get to meet everyone’s favorite blonde boy, the first akuma attack, and our new heroes. I have so much planned for this AU, I promise it’ll be worth the wait <3

Went to the comic shop yesterday and got roughly 85 comics. I now have three short boxes completely full of comics.

368 comics.

#photos of my guitar my dad posted to his blog years back when he bought it #it’s the most beautiful guitar in the world. it feels warm and alive to play #as you can see in the first two pics it used to have a newer pickup installed on the bottom. luckily he found an era appropriate online #it’s from 82 if you were curious #it says squire on the headstock but it was made on the fender line. they bought squire out and swapped in the name soon after this #but he got it a little cheaper than it was worth at the time because people aren’t as autistic as him and don’t know about production lines #basically it wasn’t brand name #basswood body and dark rosewood on the neck 😋✌️#it’s actually a replication of a ‘62 model! which was 20 years old at the time. mines now twice that. isn’t that incredible #i actually saw a modern fender replication of this exact model in an op shop yesterday #for more or less exactly how much this was bought for #dad finished his blog post by saying he thinks this is better made than the original. and despite not knowing the og i’m inclined to agree #people in the comments of his post are saying that this era was supposed to be something special. hehe. they’re right #i’ve played many guitars. i own this one because my dad collects them and he let me try them all out #and i have a lot of friends who play guitar and ive hung out with them to do so #and i’ve never felt one like mine before or since. it’s so obviously beautiful #when i picked it out i hadn’t played much but i knew right away how good it was. i prefer strat bodies because i can hug my torso around #them without getting poked like a tele and the necks are thinner than acoustics (small hands. bad)#unless we’re talking parlour #love a wee parlour. pa has a little one he got for 30 bucks that’s one of my favourites of his #he’s insanely good at finding deals #he fixes them all up #anyway. the body feels #how would you even describe it #heavy. and alive. warm and wet and still full of sap #i feel like it’s breathing #it’s sort of the only thing that motivates me to be better. i could cry just thinking about it. i want to be good enough to play it

Seeing everyone praise an author in the comments of a TikTok and I’m wondering if I just read one of her duds or if I just didn’t “get it”

#I’m gonna give the author the benefit of the doubt because tbf the one I read I don’t remember having an issue with the actual writing #moreso I just felt that the concept of the book could have been good but was instead just rehashing famous mistreated women in comics #fuck it I’ll be more clear here and say names and titles #the book I read is the refrigerator monologues #by Catherynne Valente #and idk I was so excited about the premise of wronged women meeting up in the afterlife and getting to interact and engage with each other #but what it actually was was basically just rehashing actual stories of women comic book characters and how they were wronged #with very little interaction between them #like I definitely appreciate what the book was trying to do but I feel like since all the characters are parodies of marvel/dc female charas #there wasn’t enough actual new-ness injected into their backstories #I guess if you view the book as more a collection than a novel it’s better but ehhhh I just feel like I go crazy when I see every review #about this book praise it so extensively #and any bad review is just ‘feminism bad’ which is NOT why I don’t like the book #anyways rant over this is incomprehensible lol #tbd probs #white weasel talks

If any of you plan on having kids, please for your sake please have a good support system. I mean people who will take kiddo for a few hours so you can sleep/clean/relax without stressing, people who will help with chores and help pick up the slack when you start feeling worn thin, and people who will encourage and remind you that you’re doing great. It’s so so so hard when you can’t get the help you need.

Future parents, please do this for yourself. Please ask for help and build yourself a safety net of people you trust to care for you like you would care for them.

#I’m am not great and it’s not my kid’s fault at all #I just physically have not been away from her more than 2 weeks (collectively) since she was born #I have had little to no babysitting #my partner daughter and I share a room with our dog #while cleaning his parent’s hoard so we can have more space in the downstairs #my family has been so weird going between actually loving to cold/rude/critical when I don’t let them treat me like a doormat #my CPTSD and bipolar have been ripping me apart mentally #I’m so so so tired and sad and upset and guilty for everything I’m feeling #for little outbursts of yelling/slamming stuff down/shutting down entirely/feeling disdainful towards everyone around me for short periods #none of this is okay #I’m trying so hard to get the help I need and I’m getting there I’m so close guys I’m so close #but I’m breaking under the weight of it all #if it wasn’t for my partner I would’ve certainly killed myself in the past couple years #he’s been my rock and best friend from the moment I met him #and he’s the only thing keeping me together #uuuugh long rant uh #just please take care of yourself before you lose friends and find familial relationships stressed/broken

In case anyone hasn’t heard it yet, apparently Hulu and Disney+ are following Netflix’s clown shoe footsteps and will be cracking down on password sharing starting in March I think?

Apparently that decision earned Netflix “millions of new subscribers” but even without checking I’m willing to call bullshit. Maybe they did but it doesn’t mean anything if you LOST a similar number of subscribers

So anyway. Personally I’m not losing much to those two (esp not d+ cuz I don’t use it) but I figured others should probably be aware
