Your pencil scratched across the paper, drawing Astarion over and over again on a single page. This wasn’t anything surprising; you drew all of your companions. Gale, Wyll, Karlach, Shadowheart, Lae’zel - they all had pages of their own, but it was usually only one drawing. Some had even posed for it. It was just a way to relax, and their faces always lit up when you showed them, even if they tried not to show it.

Everyone needed a break from fighting and exploring day in day out, so you decided one more day here wouldn’t hurt. As such, you’ve spent the better half of the day just drawing. At first it was little doodles of Scratch, but then you realized you hadn’t drawn the vampire spawn yet.

Most of the expressions you captured came from memory. You’d occasionally sneak a glance for quick reference, pretending to stretch or get distracted by some birds. But at some point, he’d disappeared from camp. You just assumed he’d gone off hunting.

That assumption was proved quite wrong when a voice tsked over your shoulder, almost directly in your ear.

Startling away from the sound, you whipped around to see Astarion crouched down. He wore a self-satisfied smirk and settled down into a full sit on the ground.

“It seems someone is infatuated,” he teased. “So who is it? Someone we saved from peril, perhaps?”

Oh. Right. It had completely slipped your mind.

You cleared your throat as your cheeks warmed and smiled. “Y-Yeah, something like that.”

He chuckled. “Come on, darling, there’s nothing to be shy about. Spare none of the juicy details. What’s he like?”

“He’s, well,” you stammer, “he’s interesting.”

He scoffed. “That’s hardly juicy or a detail. Or is he just another pretty face?” He leaned forward, trying to get a better look at your drawings. You wanted to pull them away and hide them, but why? All the others had drawings done of them, and you loved showing it off when they were done. Why was this any different?

“No, he’s a lot more than that,” you admit quietly. You weren’t good at lying - usually Astarion took the lead any time you had to - but maybe if you didn’t tell a complete lie… “He’s funny, charming. His laugh lights up my world. He’s had a rough go of it, but he doesn’t like it to show.”

“He must like you if you know,” he hummed. Your heart leapt into your throat as he pointed to the pin pricks drawn on the neck. “Is he a vampire, too?” He chuckled, but it sounded strained. “You have a type, don’t you?”

You scoffed even as warmth flooded to your cheeks. “No! I do not have a type.”

“No, of course not,” he played along. “Certainly not for creatures of the night who bite into that pretty little neck of yours.” Despite his smile, there was a tension in his eyes. “I don’t mind, dear. I’d be more than happy to scrounge around some nights so you may indulge your new lover.”

You shook your head. “You don’t have to do that, Astarion,” you assured. “He’s not… We’re not together.”

“No?” You shook your head again. He opened his mouth to give you advice or console you, but you cut him off. It was better to end this fantasy now, before it began to hurt too much.

“It doesn’t matter. Besides, you shouldn’t be sneaking around so you can look over my shoulder. I could have been drawing something terrible.”

He laughed. “All the more reason to risk a peek. You’re so good, it would be nice to know you can be tempted.” Then he scowled. “Unless it’s something terribly dull. You deserve much more than missionary.”

If your cheeks weren’t already blazing hot…

“In any case, I was only wondering when you’d draw my portrait. You seemed more than happy to provide the others with a likeness. And…” He looked past you, seemingly far away. “I haven’t seen myself in two centuries. One gets curious, especially when you’re as vain as me.”

If he heard your heart start racing, he didn’t comment on it. Drawing him would make him realize it wasn’t some other vampire crush you were drawing. But, it had been a while since your adventure began, and you’d drawn everyone else. You swallowed down your anxiety. “Yeah! Of course! Did you wanna pose, or anything?”

He blinked and suddenly he was back in the present. A sly smirk covered up whatever emotions could be lingering on his face. “If your little vampire friend doesn’t get too jealous. I would actually like if you could draw me just,” he paused, “smiling. It would be nice to know what everyone else sees. Make sure I’m not off-putting, you know how it is.”

Once he was sitting comfortably, you turned to a fresh page and began drawing. The paper was hidden from his view, but he watched as your hand, wrist, and arm all moved in tandem like a clock’s gears to create an image. Your eyes moved between the sketch and him multiple times. Sometimes you’d glance up and draw for almost a minute. Then other times you kept going back and forth, constantly checking for reference.

Watching you work was fascinating. All your surroundings faded away. Karlach being her usual loud self, Wyll dancing, Gale cooking, Lae’zel sharpening weapons - nothing could turn your attention from him. He almost felt subconscious with the intensity of it. Your eyes studied him, taking in every single feature, and translated it to your journal. What did you see when you looked at him, he wondered. What did the world see? It had been so long, he couldn’t even remember his face. All he knew was he was attractive.

With a final few marks, brushed away to blend them into the rest, you looked down at your masterpiece. You were so caught up in the drawing you forgot why you were hesitant before, but now that Astarion stared at you from two different angles, your anxiety came back full force. There was no way out of this.

“All done, dear?”

You smiled shakily up at him and turned the journal around. His face scrunched up in confusion. When he met your eyes, he was decidedly unamused. “Darling, if you’re going to draw your fleeting fancy, don’t trick me first. I know it’s hard to see past the depraved bloodlust, but we don’t all look alike, you know.”

“No, Astarion, it’s not- I-”

While you fought to find words, Karlach picked up the slack. Cupping her hands around her mouth, she shouted across the camp, “IT’S YOU, FANGS!”

Dread washed over you. You closed your eyes. If a merciful god was going to kill you and rid you of this embarrassment, now would be the time. A bolt of lightning, perhaps. You’d even welcome decapitation.

You risked a glance when you felt your book being tugged carefully from your hands. His eyes were wide, mouth slightly open as he tried to comprehend what the fuck had just happened. Gods, now he was going to leave camp. You buried your face in your hands. He was going to pack everything up and leave before the sun even touched the horizon. And you’d never see him again. Maybe you’d go find Cazador yourself, just to kill the bastard.

“All these drawings… are me? Darling?”

You inhaled deeply and lowered your hands, but you couldn’t bear looking at him. He could stab you with his dagger and you’d apologize to him for it all. Hell, you’d let him drink you dry if it meant leaving this all behind you. “You’re very pretty,” you admitted quietly. “I didn’t know how to ask, and just- You can rip the pages out, burn them, whatever makes you feel better. And if you leave, I won’t blame you or chase after you or-”

“I’m not upset.” Your head never shot up so fast. “Well, a little. You’re not subtle when you stare, you know. I thought you were just uncomfortable being around a vampire, but this…” He turned back to the portrait you’d just finished. “This is really what I look like?”

You swallowed away a small portion of the shame. At least he wasn’t running away. “As best as I can capture you, anyway. Y-You’ve got these sharp eyes, and your hair curls around your ears, and you get little wrinkles around your eyes and mouth when you laugh - and I just like drawing you.”

The page flipped over again. The page of expressions, capturing everything you described. When he smiled full and bright his fangs were on full display, accented by the laugh lines on either side of his mouth. And the puncture wounds on his neck…

“Ah, so when I said you had a type…” He chuckled, but it didn’t hold as much warmth as usual.

“Your laugh does light up my world,” you admit. His red eyes were on you in an instant, flickering over your whole face. “Just, for the record.”

He glanced at the drawings once more, contemplative. Then, he held the book back out to you. “I wouldn’t be… opposed to trying this. Whatever this is.”

You reached out to take it, but he pulled it away. “But, no more sneaking glances across camp when you want to draw me. I would be delighted to model for you again, in any pose your sweet heart can concoct.” He held the book out again. “Deal?”

You grabbed onto the book, finally relaxing as you smiled. “Deal.”

OKAY, I think I'm done for now.

@electrozeistyking and I a little while ago talked about how GD!N would react to DAS!Cyn. They went on about in a reblog but basically he would be extremely happy bc DAS!Cyn is a separate entity to the Absolute Solver, therefore meaning she's not the one behind everything.

So at first they probably both would be extremely happy. DAS!Cyn in her own AU upon meeting N first is absolutely terrified that he might hate her after everything the AS made her do. So the fact GD!N would react very positively to her presence would be a huge a relief to her.

Now, the issue is that the "Dormant" in "Dormant" Absolute Solver is in quotations for a reason. It simply lost interest in her as a main host / had no need for her anymore. It still has admin rights over DAS!Cyn and she still has a Solver Form. Though she doesn't use it by choice bc of PTSD triggers (until possibly a specific point in Ep7 but I'm waiting for ep8 to decide).

So yeah I think that would make both GD!N and DAS!Cyn kinda anxious to put it lightly.

@electrozeistyking has mentioned and shown Beanie finding comfort in the sound of her fathers core.

Well funny story.

DAS!Cyn always was comforted by her brothers core back at the manor, when they first reuite at the start of Ep6 and she sees DAS!Uzi summon her Solver wings and tail, her instinct is pressing closer to DAS!Ns chest for comfort. Her memories of the Solver features are very very blurry, but she is triggered by seeing them regardless.

I thought It was cute the girls have that in common, so I decided to draw them and GD!N sleeping with the girls having their heads close to his core :3

OKAY FINALLY WE GET TO THE DOODLE PAGE

I didn't feel like fully making these so they're sketchy doodles :"

The first two are based on Zeisty saying GD!N would probably pick DAS!Cyn up and spin her around. Also you probably noticed between this doodle, the first drawing & the Tiny!N & DAS crossover post, but DAS!Cyn displays flowers on her visor to emote happiness!

The 3rd and 4th are just random interactions between the kiddos lol. I feel like Beanie probably would be happy to have another Auntie, not to mention one closer to her age so they can do silly kid stuff together. DAS!Cyn... oh boy

She would feel a whole range of emotions; grief about missing so much of her brothers life (like he has a kid ffs), guilt and self blame after finding out what happened to Uzi (she blames herself for everything the AS caused, even tho she never agreed to it) which might end up in a "slight" breakdown, anger at the AS for causing GD!N that kind of pain and eventually once she processed all those emotions she probably would be excited to get to know Beanie. Like!! Imagine finding out you have a little Niece!!

She probably would struggle to easily keep up with Beanie bc she still has motor issues like in canonverse so she's a little slower, so it'd be mostly her trying not to fall over her own feet whilst being dragged around by an excited toddler who probably even with child lock is stronger than her lmao.

Also I drew DAS!Cyn in an alternate outfit bc I wanted to actually kinda show the oil reserve canister,,,

Yeah, DAS!Cyn kinda didn't take it well either when she first realized the AS technically can still take over if it really wanted to after she transferred bodies in an attempt to escape. Imagine getting your core nearly crushed in an attempt to flee from robo satan just to find out entity STILL can use you for their bidding. Like!!! Damn that's not fair the kid nearly fucking died trying to break free!!!

DAS!Cyn definitely would want to spare Beanie the horrors too. DAS!Cyn herself is mentally like 7-10/11 at best 6-9 at worst -- despite kids usually just saying whatever comes to mind, she repressed most AS related stuff for a reason, she definitely wouldn't share what she knows with her newfound niece

I feel things would be either super great and happy or super traumatizing depending on when in the timeline we throw DAS!Cyn at them. If she's there during ep 6-7? Oh boy. Oh no. DAS!Cyn & DAS!N have an exchange during Ep7 that would not go over so well if it was GD!N in DAS!Ns place, because it would be awfully similar to GD!Uzis death -- she doesn't die, because DAS!N can't get himself to shoot with her being so close to the AS, despite her literally shouting at him to do it and that she won't be angry, that'll be fine. -- yeah I don't think GD!N would handle that well 😭 Zeisty feel free to get the angst train rolling if you wanna add your two cents on how that'd go over -- any point before that? Probably fine. Post S1? I'd imagine also fine depending on what Ep8 throws at us (except like... look at ideas list for more info*)

I'll assume that'd be Beanie reacting to seeing DAS!Cyn having the Solver tail and possibly the glitching Solver symbol in her visor. Yeah she definitely would try to play it off and go try and hide somewhere until she can get it under control again. High stress or negative emotions causes her Solver to act up (unrelated to the AS, just her own Solver form without the entity controlling anything!!) So what I said above to her reaction to the news of GD!Uzi being dead? And possibly finding out the reason why? Yeah that might trigger her tail and wings to pop out and her to basically be reduced to a hyperventilating ball on the floor because of proceeding to blame herself for all of GD!Ns suffering due to thinking the AS actions & it being a danger are her fault

Other things I kinda wanted to doodle but didn't for now, might do at a later point;

Cyn still has a Solver Core, which is the same as a DD core (except smaller lol). So I was playing with the idea of Beanie noticing that her core sounds different from GD!Ns due to hers being severely damaged and actively leaking after the AS attempted to crush it during the body transfer. DAS!Cyn then trying to play it off

Some kind of acknowledgement of the Oil reserve canister on DAS!Cyns back, it was made by Tessa before the AS did the medurder and stuff. It's supposed to help keep the Solver in check by preventing overheating, hence why its directly connected to her chest where her core is

There was something else but it slipped my mind

Smth I'm not gonna say publicly for now until Zeisty posts something about it and/or eventually posts the chapters bc I don't want to spoil esp not bc it isn't my place to :" (if you're curious, Zeisty, lmk I can tell you in VC or DMs lol) but it partly would possibly be related to the 1st idea listed

* I have an idea for what happens to Cyns original body (the one the AS uses & that wears Tessa) post Ep8 IF Ep8 let's me do it that is. I think it could be fun to crossover that idea bc of GD!Ns ghost sight.... tho it definitely also would be fucking stressful and trauma inducing bc Solver stuff sooo yeah rip (again, if you want I could elaborate in vc or DMs on this bc I want to first wait and see what the season finale brings before I do anything "official" with this)

GD!N reacting to the information that DAS!Cyn canonly shot "Tessas" gun at the AS (well technically at its tentacles. Point being that kid fired a gun/knows how to use one) -- which again could be very interesting if we were to toss them into the same Ep7 bc that's when she does it

Possibly GD!N finding out ab the scars/cracks surrounding DAS!Cyns core bc,,, yeah

Anyways uuuhh heightbsheet bc I'm 99% sure I drew stuff inaccurate

These were actually so fun to draw and think & talk about. I'll post the GD x IC crossover once I'm done with that (yes, yes there is more than what you already saw Zeisty. Not much more but more nonetheless)

Ok ok, important questions

What colour do Sun, Moon, Sunna, and Meno blush? Is it a darker version of their skin colour? Is it red? Is it actually just whatever colour their blood is but like set to multiply mode (that's what I do with blush, so it looks more like it's under the skin)?

Also also, are all the gods blood gold or do they have different colours? If they do, is it random or is it based on some sort of ststem? Possibly the higher ranking gods having more precious materials for blood colour? So like gold, silver, bronze, copper, etc.

Lol I just really like learning these things

Oh oh, do the gods have like similar internal anatomy to humans or do they have different wacky bone structures and organs? I mean, obvs their heads have gotta be different but is there anything else that's different? Are Sun's rays made of like cartilage so they can bend and stuff or are they something else? Sksksj I really like learning about anatomy

First of all: congratulations, your ask was not eaten, but somehow sent after your second ask. Not too sure how that happened

Sun blushes a kind of darker orangey colour. Moon blushes blue. Sunna blushes a lighter red. Meno blushes yellow (this took a poll, Meno was a dilemma. Meno could also literally be blue if you wanted though idc, they were both fine)

I edited blush onto previous art of them to experiment. I did not edit the Sun one though, but he actually already has blush in the image:

The gods have different colours of blood! Sun has golden blood. Moon has dark blue blood with purple tints similar to his wings (no stars, sowwy). Sunna has red blood (if you want to get fancy, you could compare it to a ruby-- ........). And Meno has the fun blood which is a very light blue with thin swirls of gold

Mid gods (them!) are the highest ranking to possess blood, as Higher gods don't. And before mid is demi, and demi-gods may have duller colours that don't shine (or swirl like Meno, or seem to almost consume the light around it like Moon's) in the same way mid gods' seems to

Their anatomy is very different from a human. A mid god may or may not really have proper organs. Like, I would like to imagine Sun and Moon having a lot of stone (not quite, but something like stone) in their bodies with blood between it all. I have implied that Sun breathes though, so he may have something akin to lungs. I don't know the specifics, but their bodies are more built for defense in a way. Sunna and Meno are still tough, but are softer, so I imagine less stone and more of a density if that at all makes sense. OH, I completely forgot! They all have glowing cores at the very centre of their chests past all that defense, like a heart!

Sun's rays can go from solid, to being like flames at will. From what I've written, it usually briefly loses its solid state when he's excited. I think they might not be able to bend in the solid state, but they can move when all flamey. Like shrinking back, spinning, etc

I’ve been seeing people make their own tmnt iteration for a while now and i wanted to finally join in the fun. Im not as creative tho so 😭 whatever. Heres me doodling the main cast to get an idea what they look like in my version

Edit: this is kinddaaa outdated. Theres been a few changes to their designs

I wanted to get the 2000s cartoon vibes. And i was thinking of sgt frog too while making this so there might be the same vibes. I love sgt frog. I call this version TMNT: Against All Odds. Probably sounds corny but idk, sounds catchy

Some info about them under the cut

April’s the one who dressed them up based on their interests. Excluding leo’s and donnie’s techs. Donnie made his tech and leo’s hologram control thing. And leo’s hologram necklace is actually a gift April got from her science teacher, Baxter Stockman. More on that later tho. Maybe. Idk yet

In my version, things are more lighthearted. Shredder is an alien that took over the kraangs planet and so the kraangs escape to earth. Theyre like pests tho, they carry ooze that makes ppl sick. Theyre not TOO harmful, but theyre bothersome. the turtles do fight crime that happens and also tries to help out with kraang situations. The turtles are mostly carefree and has a more positive outlook on everything. Leo tends to be the most innocent, other than mikey. They both have so much joy and love in their hearts bless them

The best way i can describe donnie is that he’s like Rise donnie but less vocal abt his sense of superiority and intelligence(?) my donnie is more mysterious and puts on an off-putting facade just for the fun of creeping people out. He cares for others tho and it rlly shows that hes kind hearted. Just a bit weird and sometimes takes his pranks too far (he pranks his brothers with his inventions to show how impressive his inventions are. Sometimes it fails and so their adventures consists of them having to get around donnie’s invention problems) if you watch Sgt frog, then u can tell i got heavily inspired by Kululu lol

For April, i wanted to make her be a popular girl in her school. Shes not a mean popular girl. She just is popular for some reason and shes cool with everyone. Everyone gets along, mostly, but she just doesnt like being around people and prefers to stay home doing her own thing. Shes an art kid who loves anything artsy, especially making her own stories

Overall theyre just having fun tbh. I want them to not have trauma for once😭 or at least not yet. Other than the whole kraang situation, their problems are mostly them wanting to have fun outside and do normal people stuff but April doesnt let them cuz she knows people will be weirded out by them. And other shenanigans. I do have more plans for them but for now, this is all

Hi! I see you've been writing some stuff for Tfp humans and because I'm a Tfp human enjoyer I thought I could request something:)) (I personally cannot write so yeahh)

Fell free to do it and feel free to not do it if you don't feel like it :))

So,

How about an AU where June and Fowler (due to some relic to stuff) get aged back to when they were 16/17. They were probably wildly different than their adult versions and seeing kids interact with 80's teenagers would be fun (I personally hc Fowler & June to be in their late 30s like 39 so if Tfp is in 2011 yeah they would be teens in the 80s)

Also,here are some of my personal hcs for teenage June & Fowler which you can use but if you feel like they would be different feel free to do that too :))

Fowler was kinda the high school jock/a chad as one could call it. Also probably smoked even though he was under age lol. Probably a rock fan who plays the guitar to impress girls lol

As for June,I see her to be a rebel who wanted to be in a biker gang/generally into motorcycles. Probably like Miko but more reserved :)).

Also have my teenage Fowler doodle as an add on cause it's relevant

Relics are not known to mess with age. The few that have such properties do little to harm a mech aside from possibly get rid of a beloved mod or engraving. As such, the team left one of their various collected relics just... laying on Ratchet's workbench. It wasn't particularly dangerous, and Optimus's memories of the archives stated that it had slight rejuvenation properties. That was all. It was essentially a small healing device meant to be applied to minor wounds.

But of course, anything minor to Cybertronians tends to be definitively less so to humans.

June and Fowler were left to keep a vague eye on the relic while the team performed other tasks. They chatted and overall relaxed, but at some point, Fowler noticed the relic was a little too close to the edge of the table for his liking. Sure the thing was almost as big as he was, but in his mind, with the help of June, they could push it back onto the table proper and rest easy knowing there would be no surprise clank to startle them or upset Ratchet. Their attempt to be helpful very quickly ended with a flash of light, every living being in the base hurrying toward two sets of screams, and gasps of horror all around.

June and Fowler were younger, WAY younger. Upon analysis, both were in their late teens biologically. Ratchet and Optimus argued over what to do, and upon seeing the relic, the overall consensus was that the two rejuvenated humans would have to remain at base until Ratchet could figure out a way to reverse the effects. It was not ideal, but a few calls later, things were organized enough. The military would cover for the loss of both Agent Fowler and June for the time being, and the team would get to work.

The team got busy and went about their work and June and Fowler stayed put... mostly. Despite having memories and experiences to match their adult selves, both teens had opinions and feelings regarding things. All three of the kids collectively decided they did not in fact enjoy these younger versions of the adults they knew within... about two minutes.

Fowler was a piece of work. He paraded around like he was in charge, but had the unfortunate habit of shoving Jack around for the kick of it. He didn't mean it maliciously, but the constant shoving did get on nerves. It did not help that Fowler used his spare time to work out now that his back was not murdering him every two steps. A definitive six pack most certainly did not endear him to Jack with his twiggy body. Fowler tried to get along with them by playing the adult, but being young again put a certain spring in his step and before long, he was off to cause problems. Lifting weights and wearing absolutely cringe worthy headbands, Fowler took off gleefully. The children avoided him like the plague, especially when he tried to rope them into his terrible 80s workout video exercise routine.

June was arguably worse in that while she wasn't outright cringy, she did have a few... habits. Her haircut was enough for even Miko to look away in shame. June's choice of clothing prompted three in sync face palms. And to add to it, she was absolutely determined to continue being the adult in the room even upon immediately getting distracted with video games and Fowler himself. Her use of 80s slang and her determination to ignore the rules just enough to be annoying quickly got on the nerves of everyone, especially the kids. Don't touch that? Oh she didn't touch it, she just got really REALLY close to it while making direct eye contact. Don't bother Ratchet? Well guess what, Ratchet gets a few dozen questions anyway.

Both were menaces to society just by existing. The team personally didn't mind all that much. What difference did personality shifts in small squishies mean to them? You sat down in your bed, reaching down under it for your headphones. You pulled out the spikey pair, grabbing your ipod and plugging them in before scrolling through your songs. You clicked your tongue to the beat you preferred, one part of you expecting for it to pull up the exact song you wanted.

Eventually after clicking the button at least 100 times you found Lolita- Lana del ray. You played the song, placing on your clunky headphones before placing them on your head. You leaned back on your bed, grabbing a note book while you wrote some stuff down that needed to be done.

Everyone was quite pushy if you didn't do something, and since Madison was on your ass all the time you had to do it. And speaking of which (Or witch cuz she's a witch 😉), she walked down the hallway, peeking her head through your door with her fuzzy hat and slutty dress.

"Can you go out or something? It's embarrassing seeing you so lonely." She stared at you for a moment, rolling her eyes as she realized you were just ignoring her. She then went back out, her heels clicking and growing deaf as she got farther.

You knew you weren't the most popular.. you were just there. Nothing special.. just a girl. You knew it wasn't the best look for the coven either, but you weren't able to change yourself. The whole point was to be unique. And, you had quite the fan base outside the coven house so you weren't too worried about it.

Soon, as you wrote, you began to doodle. Your favorite thing to write was little sun's and moons. It was a therapeutic thing to do. Sometimes you even put sunglasses on the sun like a child. But, it was still very enjoyable.

So, while you doodled and drew, your door creaked open some, the big bad man standing in it. Or kyle.. it was just kyle.

Little to your knowledge, he had been watching you for a few minutes. He had originally been following Madison for her.. needs.. but he was drawn to the yellow light coming from your room. The white in the coven house was intoxicating.. even kyle knew that, but you had always seemed to make it look good.

As kyle watched, he took note to your headphones in his zombie brain. He couldn't think much, all that was floating around in there was mostly words. Words like big ones.. he still had trouble saying two. Or though.. and the way they were spelled was so much more confusing. Kyle grunted at the thought, closing his eyes with frustration. He couldn't control his body well, and he obviously hadn't caught on to not close your eyes.

But, the grunt caught your attention regardless. Even with the headphones and Lana's wonderful vocals, you still heard the grunt he made. Although, you knew immediately who it was. You looked over, seeing Kyle's hands in his hair as he tugged at it some, trying to somehow calm himself.

You jumped out of bed, taking off your headphones in a flash before running over and stopping him. It was a rule. You couldn't let him hurt himself.. even if it was the most subtle. You weren't allowed to let him. Everyone knew.

"Don't do that! You know that's bad, Kyle." You scolded him, pulling his hands out of his hair as he made a low growl in response. He opened his eyes, closing them quickly again as he tugged his hands from yours covering his face. Great.

"Hey! Hey.. no.. no kyle." You sighed, realizing he was having one of his fits. You stared down at him as he slid down the wall, beginning to cry. He overreacted too much, but he couldn't help it. And either way, his cries were heartbreaking.

You walked over to him, his head peeking out from his hands some, his body flinching in response. You got down to his level, your hands on his as you slowly pulled his hands down, trying your best to comfort him. "It's okay. It's okay kyle. Don't be sad." Kyle's face still had that bruise from the crash, and your heart ached knowing what he had been through. You had to help him in some way, and you bit down on your lip thinking of what to do.

He needed a hug maybe? But he probably wouldn't like that.. good things? Like compliments possibly? Or just talk to him.. help him with words?

"Kyle, c'mon." You stood up, holding his hand while he got up as well, you leading him into your room. Kyle's mind was mostly blank. I mean, there wasn't much to think about for him. When he was angry he'd only be angry because he wasn't able to respond correctly. He knew his reactions were stupid.. or dumb.. or just unnecessary, but he simply couldn't control it.

Kyle walked into your room, noticing the headphones again. He found interest in those.. the spikes enticed him and he felt an urge to poke his hand with them. So, he walked over and did just that, yelping in response. "Hurt!" He pulled his hand back, looking at the headphones as if they had done it to him.

"Kyle! Oh my god.. you can't do that-" Kyle picked up the headphones, being very sure to not touch the spikes as he looked as if he was about to smash them. You snatched the headphones, watching your ipod fall to the floor from the headphones still being connected.

"You can't do that either.." you sighed, picking up the items, setting them on your bed before putting yourself on it as well. You looked at Kyle's face, his tears gone and his eyebrows furrowed. He seemed angry? Jesus.. what was it now?

"Why?" He asked, sitting down on the bed, almost making you leap up from his weight. He was a big guy.. Definitely not the one to get in a fight with. But he was a sweet little guy.. despite his anger issues and fits he was the equivalent to a lost puppy. A cute puppy.

But, besides the point he was obviously confused. Maybe he just didn't understand you..

"It's bad. If you break the headphones then they'll break. And I'll never be able to use them again." You smiled slightly, kind of irritated by him. You never really interacted with him so you never really knew what to do. But, you did know not to let him throw a fit. One thing you were told to do was be happy. Or look smaller.. less threatening. Even though he was fucking humongous, it was better to seem like a bug rather than a bigger threat.

Kyle really wasn't a big bad man. He was really just misunderstood. Poor guy never even got to experience life. And he died trying to protect Madison. Only if he knew what she'd do to him. Kyle was just a sweet guy trapped in some zombie body. That's why it was important for you to make him learn how to talk. So he could express himself correctly.

"Why don't we watch something? Like uhm.." you weren't too sure what was appropriate for him. Dora? That was so childish though.. but maybe that'd help him. "Dora?" You suggested, Kyle seeming even more confused. "Doooooor...ahh.." he sounded it out, but he clearly had no idea what that was. Without even being able to think of something, Kyle snatched your ipod, holding it in his large hand. Hot pink... classy. Kyle looked at the song playing, it being well.. a very attractive woman in his opinion. He stared for a moment looking. "Who is?" He looked up at you, his hand barely clutching the ipod. He would've crushed it, and he knew it was dear to you. Especially the headphones.. he didn't like when people got mad at him. He tried to prevent it the best he could.

"Lana del ray.. but let's do something else. Do you know your abc's?" Kyle shut that idea down immediately. "No." He moved his hand away from yours, still holding the iPod as you tried to take it from him. He wouldn't let go.. "come on kyle.. give it back." You said sternly, holding out your hand as his empty eyes stared back. "No.. who is?" He asked once more. You sighed, looking back at the ipod before shifting back up to his face.

"She's a singer. She's like really popular.. now give it back." You thought for a moment, but then realized being nicer was better. "Please?" You added, looking up at him with a smile. Kyle looked down at the ipod, then at the headphones connected to them before picking them up and looking. He was also very careful not to touch the spikes. He wanted to do what you had been doing earlier. He wanted them on his ears.. but he wasn't sure on how to put them on his ears.

"H-help." He was still learning that word, so he stuttered a little but the point still came across. You looked down at the headphones, then back up at Kyle. Letting him listen to one song wouldn't hurt. "Okay, but just one." Kyle's eye brows furrowed. "One song... sorry." Kyle was still very confused. He had no idea what a song was but it seemed really hard to spell.

You picked up the headphones, Kyle growing a little smile as his dimples peeked out. It really was adorable.. he was so cute effortlessly. You couldn't disappoint his adorable face. That would be a crime, so you placed the headphones on him, Kyle trying to get used to the feeling. You looked at the song that was playing and paused it, thinking of what to play. Lolita..? Maybe he'd like that? I mean, it was catchy. He'd probably get accustomed to it, so you went to your library and looked, the little click of the button ringing in your ears.

You found it, clicking on it before it began to play. Kyle's face still had the slight smile, but then his brows furrowed some, his mouth opening slightly. "Ooo.." he mumbled, his eyes traveling the room as he listened to her. He was clearly beginning to like it because he started to clench his fists to the beat. It was a little weird to watch.. you couldn't lie, but it was adorable seeing him enjoy something.

You giggled some, seeing his face turn into a smile as the song got even better. "Like." Your heart almost collapsed. He was so cute.. so adorable. Like a little kitten. Or a puppy.. your heart was healing just watching him listen to the song. But, soon it came to an end, but thankfully another song was to the rescue. Another Lana song played, and Kyle was quick to like her.

He grew more excited, but everyday would end. End with him going to your room and listening to songs. You wondered how he'd freak out if there was speakers. Or if you got a picture of her. Mainly you thought he had maybe a little crush, but that was his business. Either way, he looked like an adorable little man listening to Lana del ray. Honestly, he was slowly turning into the perfect boyfriend.

When you'd be his, of course.

Thank you 😭♥ I appreciate that a lot!! To start with I've got my advice tag (both new and veeery old stuff lol), & my youtube has a couple of speedpaints on it, one with commentary including process, brushes etc

In terms of general stuff about how I approach painting, I tend to tailor the method to the desired outcome. I talk about it more in depth on this post here, I also link to some references & tutorials that I really enjoy/recommend!

Besides that though, I guess I can do a little walkthrough of the Whisper & Tangle painting I uploaded a few months ago, since I tried something new with it that I pseudo integrated into my workflow & could be fun to talk about? 🤔

SO yes, I do always thumbnail when I'm doing a bigger painting, and they're definitely not pretty LOL. I usually use the colour fill lasso just to block in basic shapes and values with a gradient map slapped on the top -- I ended up swapping the values around in the end because it let me use the fireflies as the sole light source, making it more character focused! Then it's the usual process of resketching it all & flatting in the base colours (I also added Whisper's wisps hehe), then adding shading:

This is how I usually approach it, w/ all the shading layers clipped to the original flats to preserve editing. Multiply, screen & overlay are the most common layer modes I use while doing this, and if I'm ever struggling I'll sometimes add a gradient map too in order to unify awkward colours etc. The new thing I tried for this painting was doing what's often nicknamed as a 'clown pass' -- which is using hard edged shapes to create an easily-accessible selection mask for each part:

It looks Super funny but I actually found it very helpful, and I ended up using it to select & cut out all of their body parts onto seperate layers, which were then alpha locked. It meant I could go ham w/ large or textured brushes, smudges etc without worrying about losing those edges, or accidentally over-rendering and screwing up the anatomy in the process!!

I've kept doing something similar since, though it's a bit more dialed back; mainly using the lasso select to chop it up directly and preserve specific/necessary edges, grouping up similar body parts on a single layer etc.

After doing all that, I sat down and started rendering. The background was all blocked in & detailed with a hard round brush and these amazing brushes from Devin Elle Kurtz. There isn't anything super insightful that I think I could type on how I render, but I do have that speedpaint I mentioned earlier that'll probably shed more light. It's just a lot of eyedropping & painting, rinse and repeat

When rendering is done I usually add a concoction of adjustment layers, as well as an overlay w/ a noise texture on it. I also sharpen it all after doing so! These are the ones that I ended up adding for this painting:

The dupe & blur is a fun thing that doesn't always work, but it looks super neat when the painting itself calls for it, especially when paired w/ that noise texture. It can make stuff look like an old/low quality photograph or recording -- here's another example w/ a shadow and amy doodle I posted a few months ago:

That's about it for this painting, the majority of the time spent on it was honestly me rendering those damn leaves 🥲 Very tedious but worth it & it was a really good learning experience. i've recently been working on a linkverse au! the research i've been doing has been... extensive, but here are some character doodles i've got so far :) will probably be posting some more character doodles in the coming days as i finalize different designs. and thanks @tashacee for permission to yoink blind sky :D

the idea behind this au is essentially, what would it look like if all nine links were alive at the same time? i won't be giving that much plot info for spoiler reasons, but the general idea is that nine heroes were born to fight ganon, instead of just one

this au began before i was really aware of linkverse as a thing and only knew about lu, and by the time i learned about how other folks have been dividing up the timelines and the links, the number nine got a bit too entrenched into the story to change lol

with that being said, i'm not really using lu as a guide for these guys character-wise. they'll be similar, but i've been putting my own spin on them based both on their backgrounds in au and what i want their personalities to be

info about the pictures--

lost and saria bugging mido! (i redesigned the kokiri because i could-- also saria's got shorts on under that tabard, not a miniskirt lol) lost is this au's equivalent of time, but he's more of a mask equivalent than anything else. his backstory is more or less the same-- he was brought to the lost woods as a baby and grew up as one of the kokiri. the events of majora's mask mostly happened, but due to the nature of this au, the events of ocarina of time are technically concurrent with the au's plot

knight! the name is... tentative. i'll admit that much lol, i just don't really have any better ideas. he's this au's sky equivalent. instead of a loftwing, he's got aria, his seeing-eye pigeon. he's training with the skyward sword academy cast to be a knight of hylia, and like with lost, the events of skyward sword will be more or less concurrent with the plot

before anything, I would like to clarify that I am not a main AleRudy artist, hence I dont draw them very often! So take this tutorial lightheartedly

Eyes

yeah so the thing about Price is his eyes are a different shape than the other members (yes im aware they ALL have different eye shape bear with me here), his eyes are more round and shorter, so that's what I like to take note of whenever i draw beeg Price

you can see the red lines that kinda shows the general shape if we compare his eye with Ghost's ones for example

also I tend to draw his eyelid covering like half the eye just for the smexy effects lol

although he aint THAT old yet but i always add the crow feet and eye bags sometimes, more so when i draw non-chibi Price

Apollo but with more sun god symbolism because he deserves it

Slight close up, I love the hc that he got scars from the courtroom bombing and that his eyes get a little red when perceiving. I also legally couldn’t make his hair too short and gelled back I can’t do that to the little rat man, making his horns look normal in my style was hard enough, I wasn’t made to draw anime men. Also his clothes/colors are partially based on concept art of Dhurke and I really wanted to add the blues from Clays jacket.

Maybe it’s also a thematic reference to Phoenix too idk I think beyond canon they get along more bc within canon so much shit is happening constantly that they’re set up to be at odds more often. He accepts getting found familied eventually…

SUN SYMBOLISM! Like the other members of the WAA, he’s got that celestial bodies swag. Also I made that one doodle of the sun and liked it so much that I had to put it everywhere. Originally his earrings had a design that both mimicked the scales of Justice and upside down riding suns but I realized they already did that kind of thing in AAI so I did what I did best and mindlessly doodled. Also this version mimics how Athena’s moon earrings turned out so I’m not mad lol.

Messy doodle based off a very in depth headcanon I have (under read more)

Okay SO. Penny joined the choir last second mainly for the free of charge fair trip (she still liked singing but it was mostly for the trip lol) and she snuck Ezra in so they could have fun and stuff right since this is possibly the first fair thing they've ever gone to. Penny hangs out with the rest of the choir for a little and Ezra is off doing his own thing (the Lambs group back up every so often. They were together while the rest of the choir was getting their fortunes told which is why Penny didn't) and he wins the doll in some cash grab game that ends up being used as Jane's head.

When the choir is about to get on the Cyclone, Penny and Ezra swap their things because 1. the dolphin balloon (seen in the fairgrounds photoshoot) is not allowed on the rollercoaster and 2. Ezra wanted on too but there wasn't enough seats so he insisted she took the doll on the ride with her so he's "enjoying it in spirit" or something

After death, Karnak basically dupes the doll and gives it to her as a little piece of who she used to be and also so she could you know. Have a head

Oh look! It's another redesign!

Here, have this little illustration based on my Ladybug/Chat Noir re-designs, that I've been slaving away at for the past month (we're just gonna ignore the fact that I started plotting out the costumes and sketched the pose a year ago lol). I know, I know. A redesign? Very original. But hey I haven't done it yet, so that makes it different ok😝!

(Gosh, I usually don't post sketches, I feel like this is exposing all my drawing weaknesses lol)

These are some of the first doodles I did. For Marinette I basically looked at some traditional Qui Pao and Hanfu dresses for inspiration and mixed and matched details I liked. I also gave her these little skirt flaps (?? whatever you want to call it) to symbolise the ladybug wings and kept the spots concentrated there. All in all I actually immediately knew what I wanted to do with her costume and pretty much just kept to my first draft, but what really gave me trouble was the hair somehow. I really wanted to incorporate actual antennae (I just think it's cute🤧!!!!) but it got too crowded up there so I had to let them go eventually🥺. In the end I settled for her twin tails pulled up instead of down. To make it look more distinct from her civilian form the idea was also that her hair colour changes to black after the transformation.

Chat Noir on the other hand was so difficult😭😭😭. I honestly like the original design soo much it was hard to think about alternatives. I wanted something that matched better with my new Ladybug, but I don't think I succeeded much. Also I hyperfocused on giving him this little scarf/oversized collar thing in my first doodles because I thought it looked cool and ended up scrapping it because the little bell is just too iconic not to keep lol. As you can tell from the final illustration there is actually not all that much that made it into the final version, except for the sheer sleeves, the shoes, the claw marks and some neon green details. I also ended up giving both of them some gold accents to make them match a bit more. As with Marinette, the idea is that Adrien's hair changes colour a bit after transforming too. So I envision Adrien having more of the smooth platinum blond in his civillian form and a more brown-ish dirty blond as Chat Noir, to go for the whole stray cat look lol.

I might come back to this one day, to re-do their civilian forms too or make these costumes more practical rather than just focusing on aesthetics (But hey if the show does this than I am allowed too😂!)
