I don’t think Lucy has ever been in an actual real relationship. Does she even know what dating is? Sure she’s had sex before, but that was only with people she’d known and grown up with nearly her whole life. She’s never gone through the beginning stages of getting to know someone, setting boundaries, and working through real issues.

I’ve seen people call her a sexually liberated woman, but she seems to have this almost clinical, shallow view of sex. It’s talked about so frankly around her that it seems almost completely devalued, and reduced down to nothing but an avenue for procreation, or just a way to let off steam. I don’t think she’s ever even had a crush or loved anyone in a romantic way. She brushes Chet off, while he’s proclaiming his love for her (which I don’t think he really knows the meaning of either) and is so gung-ho to marry a complete stranger. Does she even know what a healthy relationship is? Does she know about red flags, and things to watch out for in a partner? She’s been so sheltered in a seemingly idyllic society, does she even know what manipulation and gaslighting is?

I lover her and Maximus together, but I think it’s good that they’re not together at the end of the season. She needs a lot of time to work on herself, by herself, without any romantic partners. If people say that their relationship was rushed, there’s a reason for that. It would be ridiculous if it wasn’t rushed. Neither she nor Max have any real experience on that front. I hope that she takes time to evaluate her feelings for Maximus in the next season, and figures out why she’s interested in him. Is it because she genuinely wants to be with him, or is it because he’s the first nice person that she’s met that she wasn’t related to?

seeing a couple posts about 3.06 claiming it's ooc or strange of Simon to forgive Wille for all the other things just because he abdicates, and I do think it's a very fair to say their relationship isn't at a perfect point by the end of the season, HOWEVER

giving up his title is a behemoth of a grand gesture, whether he did it for Simon or not, and I think Simon is a 17(?16?)yo who is very in love with Wille, it's not unrealistic for him to be swayed by that

most importantly, Simon says he never gave up on them, he gave up on the royal family! Simon is explicitly willing to fight for their relationship, and to work out their problems, he just realises he can't do it if Wille stays within the role and path he's on

all this to say it's impossible to know if they last or not, but Wille gave them a fighting chance by giving himself a fighting chance, and that's all Simon's asked for<3

Is it true that there is absolutely no possibility that they could ever be a thing in canon? Horikoshi, in my opinion, is playing games with the fandom. I personally think that he doesnt even know what he wants when it comes to Ochako because hes seemed to have given up on that. she's been in a state of "hope" for years now. constantly chasing clues, coming up empty but never faltering never wavering. everyone around her keeps telling her ta, "move on" and "be more in the present" but she is in the present. and in the present she isnt here. things wont be complete until she is. someone like her could not have gone silently into the night like a whisper. she was too radiant. too bright ta be stamped out so young.

ppl complain a lot about ARR being a slog but idk. i enjoyed it. i don’t think it was a slog but then again i actually like the characters. and also i don’t care that there’s only like 3 skills when you start bc in my experience that is how. most games work.

Season 5 having season 1 vibes and season 2 ideas, just imagine all the possible lumax parallels. Lucas being the most stubborn about saving Max. Lucas staying by Max’s side whenever possible. Lucas finding a lead (somewhere dangerous like near a gate or in the Upside Down or something) but being told by the adults not to go out and do something stupid without a plan, so instead he calls up Mike on the walkies and asks for his help, and then Mike rounds up the party and they all go try to save Max together. Lucas insisting he cares about Max more than anyone else when he's frustrated. Lucas insisting that Max is alive and has a chance even when other people start telling him it's time to start letting her go. Lucas just never giving up on Max. Lucas believing Max is still in there, even if El can't find her, even if she hasn't been responsive for so long. Lucas being willing to do literally anything and everything to get Max back and wake her up. And finally, a super happy reunion where Lucas is the first to rush in, and he's super happy because Max is finally awake for the first time in so long. Lucas recounting what happened while Max was in her coma. Lucas being concerned for Max and taking care of her during her post-coma recovery, but never babying her or making her feel weak.

There's just so much potential for great lumax content in season 5, and that's only on Lucas’s side.

so, Octo2 definitely has an actual endgame, which means, naturally, that I am now making sure I have all my side quests finished, all the optional dungeons finished, etc. and that I'm starting my level-grinding madness...

using Bewildering Grace in the hopes that I get the EXP boost is something I used in the first game when grinding that slightly sped up the process bc the RNG wasn't too bad, so I was using it today and ah...got EXP x100 for the first time ever. Osvald went from lv.69 to 74, I was amazed, I've never gotten that boost from Bewildering Grace before, but damn if it wasn't useful.
