pairing: ellie williams x reader

summary: in which reader gets sloppy drunk and ellie takes care of her

warnings: mention of puking

“stand up, y/n, right now” ellie said sternly, grabbing your arms and attempting to lift you to your feet. you giggled in response, resisting against her as if ellie trying to get your wasted ass off this random frat lawn was some kind of game. ellie, fed up with babysitting you all night while you got ridiculously drunk, bent down and scooped you up, throwing you over her shoulder despite your protests.

you quickly changed from happy and giggling to mad and yelling. “ellieeeeeyuh. put me down… m’ fine i swearrrr.”

ellie rolled her eyes, your act not convincing her one bit. the whole night that your guys’ friend group had been out, hopping from frat to frat on your college campus, you had been an absolute menace - running away from the group, climbing on any elevated surface you saw, and taking shot after shot with strangers, despite your inebriated state. after finding you chatting up some random group at an entirely different party, slurring your words and unknowingly flashing your pink panties to the whole circle due to your criss-cross applesauce position, ellie decided that you were out of control and needed to go home. you, on the other hand, were having the time of your life and could not disagree more. that was until ellie started heading back to her apartment, jostling you and the tequila-jungle juice-leftover pizza concoction turning in your stomach.

“wait - ellie! stop - seriously stop, I’m gonna…” ellie stopped in her tracks, suddenly knowing exactly what was about to happen. as soon as she placed your feet back on the ground, you bent over and puked up the 15+ shots that had brought you to your current state. her annoyance with you immediately fizzled out and was replaced with concern and an intense need to comfort and care for you.

“ugh, i’m sorry baby. it’s alright, let it out, i’m here,” she cooed, rubbing your back and holding your hair back while you vomited. “let’s get you to bed.”

20 minutes later, the uber that ellie had decided to call so that you wouldn’t have to make the mile trek back to her apartment while sick had dropped you two off at ellie’s front door. she helped you inside with an arm around you for support, getting you to her bedroom just as you started to feel nauseous again. she sat you down on her bed, and you leaned over to her nearby trashcan to puke again. you wiped your mouth after you finished and tears formed in your eyes as you began to sober up and realize how much of a mess you’d been tonight. you looked up at your girlfriend and a sob escaped your mouth. “i’m sorry ellie I-I-I didn’t mean to ruin your night.”

“shhh stop, you didn’t ruin my night. c’mere baby.” she lifted you into her lap as you continued to cry. “no more crying, mkay? gonna make yourself sick again.” she pulled you away from her chest to look at you, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear while staring at you intently and adoringly. “so pretty even when you’re such a mess, it’s not fair” she teased, making you crack a small smile. “i love taking care of you, but you gotta listen to me when I tell you to slow down, okay? ‘don’t like you like that in public, especially when you won’t stay in one place and let me watch out for you.” your smile fell, feeling guilty once again at worrying your girlfriend all night just because you can’t handle your liquor. noticing this, she assures you, “hey, it’s okay, i’m not mad alright? just love you and want you to be safe.”

“i know els. i love you.”

ellie removed you from her lap and laid you down in her bed before heading to the bathroom to gather some things to make your hangover better the next day. she grabs tylenol & fills a glass with water which she places on the nightstand beside her bed. shuffling into bed beside you, ellie scooches to your side, guiding your head to lay on her chest. “you’re the bestest girlfriend in the whole world els.”

“yeah yeah I know, now go to bed drunky.”

Bg3 Ladies needing comfort after a bad day

Request: So for the BG3 headcanon or blurb requests what about a little thingy where the Lady’s of the game have a bad day and need lots of comfort from their Tav. 🥺

A/n

Honestly idgaf if Lae’zel is ooc, my baby is secretly going soft. Sorry guys!! I believe she actually has feelings deep down <3 Also mild spoilers if you haven’t finished the Crèche questline

Also Karlach is so babygirl omg if someone doesn’t give her a hug rn I SWEARRRR

Karlach:

Karlach had spent the entire day fighting off various enemies, who were unfortunately harder to defeat than expected. And right as she’s settling down for the night, finally getting a reprieve from the day, Raphael shows up.

He’s yammering on about how he wants to strike up a deal with you, but you cannot send him away fast enough. Seeing a devil only dredges up bad memories for your lover, and you do not want her to have to relieve the memories of her torture in Avernus.

“Come here baby, it’s alright just try to relax.” You coax, seeing the tension in her body once Raphael leaves. You coo, gently taking her into your arms. Her head buried in your chest, strong arms wrapping around you tightly as you rub her shoulders and the back of her neck. You ease the tension out of her muscles, kissing the crown of her head.

She finally lets the tension leave her body as she breaks down into tears, quietly crying into the fabric of your shirt. Small sobs wrack her shoulders, sending an aching pain lancing through your heart. You can’t stand seeing her so upset.

“I fuckin’ hate demons. No good ever comes of ‘em. Promise me you’ll never even consider Raphael’s deal.” She pleads, and you’re quick to reassure her. “I promise, I’ll never make a deal with a devil. I love you too much to risk it.” You whisper into her hair as you place a gentle kiss on her temple.

You cuddle her to sleep, allowing her to wrap herself around you entirely. Lord knows a decade of not being able to touch anyone without scorching their skin off leaves a girl touch starved. You tuck her in as cozy as she can get, and pepper her face with gentle kisses as she drifts off. Your heart aches for the suffering your lover has endured, but all you can do is be here now to support her.

Shadowheart:

Shadowhearts wound on her hand had been flaring rather badly all day, and unfortunately you had to travel past an abandoned temple of Shar. All the memories- or lack thereof- cause Shadowheart’s mood to sour. She seems snappy and short tempered, but when you visit her tent later you see her curled into a ball and cradling her hand.

“Oh sweetheart.” You murmur, getting on your knees beside her, resting a hand on her shoulder. She sniffles, obviously trying to hide her tears. You shush her, gently lying behind her and wrapping your arms around her. She rolls over and cuddles into your chest, crying more freely now.

“Why did they have to take my memories? Sometimes I don’t even feel like I know myself.” She whimpers, and your heart shatters. “Oh baby, I’m so sorry.” You whisper, kissing her forehead and wiping away her tears. “I know you, and I love you.” You murmur, rubbing your hand soothingly up and down her back as she tucks her head into your neck. You spend the evening wiping away her tears and soothing her as best as you can.

Lae’zel:

Lae’zel doesn’t get upset, she gets angry. It’s how she was raised, channel every feeling into anger. Anger fuels strength, and only created a stronger more tenacious fighter. So when Lae’zel finds out the truth about Vlaakith, she’s angry. Enraged. Furious. Not hurt.

Lae’zel definitely doesn’t cry when she’s alone in her tent that night. She also definitely doesn’t crawl into your arms and bury her face in your shoulder. Your touch is the only balm to the aching in her chest.

“Tsk’va, look at me. So weakened by the betrayal of a false god.” Lae’zel grits out between tears, fists clenched firmly in your shirt. Her anger is directed at herself, as if it’s her fault she was fooled along with every other Gith.

“Darling, it’s not your fault. Vlaakith tricked everyone. I know her betrayal hurts, and you have a right to be upset. Im so sorry you have to deal with something like this.” You coo, kissing her forehead and wiping her tears. She scowls and pulls away from your touch, but only to roll over so she can be little spoon.

She doesn’t speak for the rest of the night, but you feel a bit of tension melt away from her muscles. The next morning she’ll wake as if nothing happened, but for now she burrows farther into your warmth, seeking your comfort.

Dame Aylin:

Aylin’s mood took a turn for the worse when she heard Raphael had proposed a deal to you at Sharess Caress. She had already spent the day overstimulated from the noise of Baldurs Gate, a stark contrast to a century in shadowfell, where the only sound was the wind and rumbling in the distance. Now that you told her this? She was pissed.

She stomped off to be alone, saying she just needed time to think. You could tell by the stiffness of her posture she was upset, more than just angry. You gave her some space, but when she finally returned to your tent to go to sleep, you confronted her.

“What’s wrong darling?” You coax, your expression soft as you open your arms for her. She hesitates, her pride and stoicism holding her back for a moment. Her hesitation is short lived however, as she heaves a sigh and flops into your arms.

“I’m just thinking of my time spent in shadowfell. Raphael is a devil, simply a reminder of the evils in this world.” She pauses, heaving an irritated sigh. “After being trapped in that soul cage for so long… sometimes it feels as though I’m still there. Not physically but… in my mind that place haunts me.” She admits quietly, and you think you hear her voice quiver.

“I’m sorry Aylin. You didn’t deserve that. If I could take away all your pain I would.” You murmur, hugging her a bit tighter as you look in her eyes. You see tears clinging to her lashes as she swallows thickly.

“I know you would. And I love you for it.” She whispers brokenly, nuzzling her head into your shoulder as she clings to you. She pulls away to place a deep kiss on your lips, reveling in the comfort of you.

“Try and rest Aylin, you need sleep.” You coax, easing her to lie back. She complies, allowing herself to get comfortable as she slips off to sleep. For the first time in weeks she doesn’t have a single nightmare.

Isobel Thorm:

Isobel was drained after narrowly escaping being kidnapped by Marcus. She pumped all of her magical abilities into the shield around the Last Light Inn, as well as blessing you and your companions to ward off the shadow curse.

You could see her bottom lip quiver as she climbed into bed, and she instantly cuddled into your side. You turned towards her, gently cupping her face in your hands.

“Do you want to talk about it?” You ask gently, and she simply shakes her head, blinking heavily as tears flow freely down her face. You brush the tears away with your thumbs, nodding as you kiss her forehead. You take her into your arms and let her cry it out.

You rub up and down her arms soothingly, allowing her the space to let out her feelings. Eventually her cries taper out, and soon enough she’s drifting off to sleep. You carefully make sure she’s tucked in perfectly before resuming your spot, cuddled up to her for the night.

AHHH UR SO RIGHT ABT STEM GIRLIES AND LIBERAL ARTS GIRLIES HOLDING HANDS HSJJSJ. us stem girlies have sm respect for you guys 🙇‍♀️ from what i’ve heard, lit is a pretty tough major (i took lit as an atar subject back in hs and i FAILED LMAOO). plus lit girlies are so knowledgeable it js blows my mind away. like give me ur brain please 🙏

i’ve tried getting out of my reading slump (WE’RE GETTING THERE WOOHOO!!) like i’ve recently started little woman by louis may alcott (a classic ik idk why i’m even referencing it shshs) and so far it’s pretty good! sometimes the dialogue throws me off a little since it was written so long ago and my mind just goes blank as soon as i read anything that’s not modern day english (i’m talking anything published before the 2000s 😭). i watched the movie a while ago so i’m kinda excited to see if there’s any major differences between the books and the movies. apparently there are a few but i didnt listen in further bc i didn’t wanna spoil myself hahah. welp ig i’ll k when i commit to actually finishing the book.

i haven’t heard abt the travelling cat chronicles yet but i’ll sure be adding it to my tbr 🫡 I LOVE LOVE LOVE CATS SMMM!! ive always just preferred cats more than dogs idkk. speaking abt cats, i have two ragdoll cats hsjsjs. funnily enough, someone pointed out that they somewhat remind them of gojo 😹😹 whelp i fear that i might as well grow up to be an old cat lady hsjsj. not that i’m complaining tho 🤭 really out of the blue question but dy have any pets? 👀 i’m just curious hahah.

AND AND ANDDD i get you!!!! i think it’s important to pick books that are written in ways that you like!!! it’s easy to think that older books are like . harder to read and relate to but that’s usually more bc of the author than the time period!!! i prefer mine to be from around the 1800s-1900s and they aren’t difficult to understand at all!! some classics are super hard to get into bc of how just. Heavy they are writing wise (side eyeing shakespeare n dostoevsky rn) but others aren’t!!! one classic i absolutely adore is the stranger by albert camus, idk if you’re interested in existentialism but!!! the writing is very pretty :3

anyway anyway…. FELLOW CAT PERSONNNN i knew i could trust you!!!! and you have ragdolls!!! 🥺🥺 my current housemate has four of them LMAO and they all look like gojo ngl …. act like him too……. this little guy just follows me around n sleeps in my lap and yaps <33333

just finished reading the latest Swap into the Crystalverse chapter (I left a comment there so this ask will be relatively short)

BUT WHAT THE FUCK! this is so good genuinely I had to take a break halfway through because I was so excited. I adore the interactions between all the characters and the way you balance fun and tension/action.

Very good and I'm rotating this in my head for the next week

Our balance between fun and tension is one of my favorite things about SITCV! Like, if y’all follow my stories? You know I love me some mind control and whump- but like having moments where Alt and Bro and even mag get to see how they’d be in other universes is so much fun and like?? Me and cry keep finding stuff about our characters we hadn’t thought about as we continue to write this stuff so it’s such a fun time!!

Im so glad there’s moments for my boys to just have fun cuz they deserve it and I’m so mean to them but it’s for character growth I swearrrr (totally didn’t just whump alt real good in another story we’re working on shhhh)

I’m so glad it’s fun for y’all too :’)

Arghh also there’s so much I want to draw from this chapter too- but I gotta start editing for tomorrow XD

✨2022 wrap up✨

whoa! happy new year! i’m a few days late but shhhhh

2022 was hmmmm...well, i can’t exactly say i failed my resolutions because i never bothered to set them. i WILL say that every year i swearrrr i’m going to finish the second draft of Aphelion, but then i just...don’t. something about writing this wip is just very mind-draining, and it’s so frustrating because this story lives in my brain 24/7 and i just want to get it down on paper stat.

while i DID make some progress on this hell of a wip, i ultimately decided to take a bit of a break from it and focus on one of my backburner wips, Suddence, for a change of pace and hopefully a return to Aphelion with a fresher mind. Suddence is a much shorter, smaller-scale project, and honestly? that’s such a relief after spending weeks trying to wrangle the intense worldbuilding and backstory of Aphelion.

SO! what are my goals for 2023? here’s one thing i learned from 2022: i’m not a very far-sighted person. i’m, in fact, very near-sighted (hardy har) and i am so forgetful that 90% of my unfinished projects are less “i didn’t have the motivation to do it” and more “oops i forgot i was supposed to be developing this.” what i need is a to-do list! filled with tasks that are doable and concrete! none of this “finish a book by the end of the year” bullcrap. what do i need to finish by january? what do i need to finish by march? shorter deadlines. smaller tasks. breaking it all down. i need to be able to see my endgoal, or else i just won’t do it at all.

as such, my to-do list for january 2023!

> not related to writing but will take up some time: build the rigs and finish the storyboard for my animation project (you can follow my progress on @emieclat)

> (actually i can’t remember where i put any of my files for that, so i guess the first step will be to find my animation files lmao)

> finish part 3 (out of 5) of suddence (HAH i almost wrote “finish drafting suddence” those are the words that curse ya)

> and possibly possibly, flesh out the outline for another backburner wip, Gentle as the Woods (featuring a monster gal ohhhhh). i worked up a bit of backstory over the last few days, and i’ll see how that shapes up 👀

As always, Karuna’s enthusiasm was extremely infectious. It was one of the many things that Elijah loved about her friendship — and quite possibly the only thing that he affectionately hated, at the same time. She reminded him far too much of his baby sister, Cynthia; when she weaseled her way into his apartment, knowing that she’d achieved exactly what she wanted before he could even say yes, the resemblance was almost uncanny. Perhaps that was why his soft spot for her continued to grow larger and larger every time he saw her, and why his living space was slowly but surely filling up with décor that she left in her path.

Despite how much it was growing on him, however, and how fruitless his effort to protest would be — especially now, that it was down on the end table where it’d likely stay forever — his mouth did open to try. One last time. Except before any words could come out, Karuna nailed his next point right on the head and he huffed in defeat. “You swear it was only ten bucks?” He would undoubtedly lament about her spending a fortune on something that he didn’t need if it weren’t, she was right. She knew him too well. “Okay, I will admit that the old one was broken and unusable, but you know that’s not my fault and if I could’ve kept it, I would’ve.” He pointed a finger as if that would help his point at all. “The cats would’ve hurt themselves on it, though, so that’s the only reason why it got thrown out, not because I needed a new one.”

His argument was futile as Karuna reached forward and plugged it in, the lamp illuminating the room in a perfect way that screamed ‘this is what the room needed’, and he shook his head. “Fine — it’s a cute lamp! Are you happy now?” He laughed, extending his arm and pulling Karuna in for a half-hug against his side as he said, “Thank you, Karuna. I love it.” He broke away from her and started padding towards his open kitchen, making a beeline for his cabinet to grab two glasses. “Please tell me you’re staying for awhile. I was just thinking about getting some work done, but I’d love to have an excuse to . . .well, not.” A chuckle left his lips. “Do you want a drink? Water, soda, anything?”

"I swearrrr on my favorite signed book collection that it was only ten bucks," she answered with a dedicated look of seriousness. You always knew she meant it when she brought her precious books into the chat. And as Eli went through his stage of acceptance, Karuna gave a few supporting utterances of "mhhmm" and "exactly". Her grin widened because she knew she had him. She let out a squeal of delight when Eli admitted the lamp was cute and leaned in to the half hug with enthusiasm. There was never any sense of rejection with him, even if he was lovingly exasperated with her, there was always welcoming and acceptance in his hugs, and there were days she needed that so badly she thought she might collapse into dust without it. On days where her headspace went numb, went dreary and detached, Eli was one of the first people she reached out to. He was one of the first people she learned to say "I'm not okay right now" to. People like that, she had learned, were priceless, they changed your whole world. They deserved every beautiful lamp, every little piece of decor that might give the light to them that they gave to those around them.

"I'm absolutely staying," she answered, pulling out of the hug only to playfully spin her way to a clumsy and dramatic drop down onto his couch. "What are you in the mood for? Snacks and board games? I could go for absolutely murdering you in scrabble again. Or...tv binge extraordinaire? We have a couple shows to finish." Straightening in excitement, she eyed the direction of the kitchen. "Ooo do you still have cherry coke leftover from my visit last week? I could go for some carbonation right now."

Suddenly, your phone vibrates and dings rather loudly. It snaps you out of your dazed state. You proceed to grab your phone and saw a text from Shawn with an image attached.

You have been away for your new movie and wouldn’t be returning until four more weeks at the earliest. Obviously, the two of you have been continuing to message and FaceTime each other throughout the time you have been away, but you were pretty busy.

It seems the only time he’s able to get you to himself is at Goddamn one in the morning. He knew you would still be awake otherwise he wouldn’t have sent the image.

Shawn woke up before his alarm again, he slowly sat up while letting out an unhappy sigh; this whole month he felt like he’s all alone, while you were working. He missed the satisfying feeling where he can just roll over and find you there sleeping peacefully next him instead of being million miles away.

Shawn let out a small sigh again as he stretched his hands and slipped on one of his ring and watch, finishing his look. He scanned over himself in the mirror once again, adjusting the sleeves of his button-up shirt.

He just kept pouting at the sad reminder. He thought about texting you but then his phone began to ring from his bed and the next thing he knew he was rushing to the studio.

"Hurry up!" Brian simpered as he grabbed his hand and yanked him as soon as he arrived at the studio.

"Is everything okay?” Shawn asked. "Please just tell me what is the emergency.”

"Just step inside," Brian said hastily, motioning towards the doors, a big smile plastered on his face.

"Brian, I swear, if this is some sort of prank..." Shawn trailed off as he turned the doorknob and pushed opened the door slowly. Shawn was half expecting a bucket of water to dump on him or a pie in the face, but none of that happened. Instead, he was greeted with a dark studio. Shawn looked quizzically at Brian, who just shooed him into the room.

"Seriously Brian, what is going on?" Shawn questioned, looking warily into the room. He felt Brian’s hands on his shoulders and pushed him into the room fully, staying behind him.

The lights came on suddenly and you stepped fully to his direction and cleared your throat, loudly announcing yourself, “Hey Shawnie, did you miss me?”

From the the looks of it, and Shawn stood stock still for a moment.

You caught a glimpse of his expression of adoration, love and surprise, before you wrapped around him like a Koala Bear.

“Oh my god, Y/N! Whe-when did you get here?”

“Went straight from the airport, baby.”

“Oh baby, I’m so happy you’re here! I-I can’t believe you’re here.” he laughed and squeezed his arms around you, never wanting to let you go. He picked you up more and spun you around a few times, Shawn was just super giddy that you were finally here with him, finally.

You too squeezed him even harder, if that was even possible, “I’m here, love, I’m here.”

He pulled back slightly, kissing your forehead. “This is the best surprise ever, I love you.”

“I love you too Shawn.”

-would never force you into reading anything but would carefully recommend you books that remind him of you or that he thinks you would like.

- he’s collecting tests and the moment he touches yours it’s all ripped

So I came back to work again after my brother has been discharged from the hospital.

I mean I wasn't planning on writing a post today since I didn't think anything was gonna happen between Chad and I.

First things first, I came to the office about 15 mins early because I wanted to talk to my friends. I didn't see Chad come in because I was about 15-20 feet away from his desk. I kid you not, I saw him looking at me (like he was peeking from above his monitor) and I was like 😍😍😍😍😂😂😂😂😂. I got distracted for a bit but all g 😂

Then later on, about 4ish, I had a meeting with my QA about my performance. We are supposed to have these meetings privately but there were no meeting rooms available. My QA sits on the same row as Chad but he was on his break. He came back about 5 mins into our meeting, with a Starbucks in hand. My QA pretended not to see him and starts talking shit about him to me: "You know Chad is not really good at his job. *turns to Chad* Oh I did not see you there!* Chad turns to me and says "Don't listen to him." And laughs 😂

Then he tells me: I finished the hot chocolate you gave me, [hence] the Starbucks. I gave the jar to Lu*na because she does crafts.'

Me: Oooh nice.

QA: OMG BIANCA GAVE YOU THE HOT CHOCOLATE? *turns to me* damn you know him very well. He is obsessed with that shit! How did you know?? You're such a G.

*I swear to God! I didn't know what to say yet again!! Swearrrr the amount of people saying I know him very well, I got him the perfect gift etc HE NEEDS TO HAVE A CLUE BY NOW THAT I LIKE HIM CMON FAM READ BETWEEN THE LINES. Also the fact that he told me the jar story is quite cute, he didn't have to tell me what he did to the jar but okay 😂 I mean it would have been cute if he saved it as a keepsake for when we actually get together but you know okay lang din 😂*

QA to Chad: What do you at night? How do you have money for Starbucks?

Chad: I live with my parents. That's the secret.

QA: And you don't pay rent?

Chad: No.

QA: I thought Irish kids pay their parents rents.

Me: I don't pay rent because my parents' salary is higher than mine so they're grand.

Chad: *laughs*

Fast forward to about 1 hour later.

On our group chat:

SME: Guys, watch out for *client*, he's been on the chat a couple of times this evening.

Me: I'm on chat with him right now.

*Chad sad reacts to my message*

I SWEAR TO GOD HE NEVER READS MESSAGES ON THAT GROUP LET ALONE REACTS TO MESSAGES so I was kilig 😂😂😂😂

Then later on, he went over to my desk, stood for a while to look at the snacks on the desk. I kinda said 'hey'. I couldn't really talk to him much because I was stressed with my cases. I mean I really wanted to offer him my snacks 😩😩😩 Imagine he came up to me because he wanted to talk to me but he saw how busy I was so he walked away 😩😩😩 I feel really bad now, I blew another chance ugh. Feeling ko torpe tong lalake na toh eh 😂😂😂 sa Sunday tlga pag hindi busy, pupunta ako sakanya to give snacks xD

Anyways, I told my friend and she was like omg it means na nagiging close na kayo. Sana nga plsss.
