adding to my other post about my oc:

Her name’s Elizabeth Bell, she’s obviously Micah Bell’s kid. For those who don’t play rdr or know anything about it, Micah isn’t a good person at all. He’s a rat ass bitch who manipulates people and double crosses them. So not uh…the best dad. He stayed for a few years with Elizabeth’s mother before leaving when she was 8. He only stayed because it was a few years where he was wanted and had a huge bounty on his head (he went along with his dad and killed two people and had to go on the run), and it was a place where he could lay low. He was only 19 when this happened; Elizabeth at the time of the story is 20 when he’s 39.

After Micah left, it was just her and her mother. Her mother had been living on her families farm, and she taught Elizabeth how to care for animals pretty early on. Micah, when he was still there, taught her how to skin animals and kill them (less of teaching and more of ‘you’re gonna watch and learn no matter what’). Her mother had taught her the basic life skills, along with how to shoot, and Micah taught her how to ride. When she got a bit older, Micah had taught her how to pickpocket/steal from others, along with teaching her how to gamble/cheat to win.

I haven’t figured out too much of her story for her teen years, other than she ended up in some trouble after getting caught pickpocketing. She got her face sliced (lucky for her, it was just one). It was fully across her face, however, so she has a scar from her chin to over her eyebrow. The slice made her vision in her left eye go, with her being around half-blind in her left eye.

She has a horse, named Theoden (which means lord, keeping the theme of the bell’s having religious names/ relating to god). She just shortens it to Theo, and she’s a Shire horse. She’s VERY big, strong. Elizabeth won her in a game of poker, and she was immediately in love with her. Theo’s also half blind in one eye, like her, which is why she was so drawn to her. She’s a chestnut reddish/blonde and Elizabeth loves her girl <33 she praises her all the time.

She meets Dutch and John when they’re on a mission/heist in the same town where she was at. They tried to steal Theo to ride off on, but she got them at gunpoint and told them to back the fuck off (she’s VERY protective of her). When Dutch and John pulled their guns out, Theo went crazy, putting herself in between her and the others. Elizabeth held her ground and told them to fuck off or she’d kill them. Dutch, now less mad, told John to put his gun down, and she pointed them in the direction of some random horses, belonging to people who had cheated at poker with her. Dutch invited her on that quest after asking her a few questions, and she said yes. She saved both of their asses during that mission, mirroring how Dutch met Micah, as Micah had saved Dutch’s ass.

She got invited back to camp with them, as she’d impressed Dutch and….yk, she saved their lives. She accepts, as her mother had passed at that point and she was hopping from place to place. It’d be at least a warm place with food she could stay at.

When she went into camp, she didn’t notice straight away, but Micah was by the fire, talking to Bill. He tensed up when he saw her, freezing as it sinks in who she was. Dutch introduces her, and when she says her name, “I’m Elizabeth Bell,” She looks directly at Micah. She knows who he is, and she’s not kind about it. At all.

There isn’t much after that, I haven’t figured it out yet, but she def throws shade at Micah, (“Damn, where’d you learn to skin like that, little lady?” “My daddy.” while looking at Micah.)

I do know, however, that she kept the last name Bell, not because she loved her dad, but because she knew that he was a bad person. She knew that her grandfather was a bad person. The last named Bell was already tarnished, so she tarnished even more, breaking part of the cycle. She chose to be a better person, something that tarnished the horrible things that clung to the family name.

ALSO keeping with the names meaning God in the Bell family, Elizabeth’s name means “God is my oath”, or “God’s promise”. Thinking of something that would happen between her and Micah int the end.

Micah “Who is like God” Bell vs. Elizabeth “Gods promise/God is my oath” Bell.

Also, she does get closer to Hosea, Arthur, John, and Sadie, helping them out in trying to figure out everything. She doesn’t like Bill and tolerates Micah.

if theres is one thing i feel like the 2005 pride and prejudice movie did not come close to portray as well as the 1995 series did was how absolutely MORTIFYING the netherfield ball was. i have never felt so much second hand embarrassment watching a scene oh my god the whole thing was a mess and its supposed to be a mess because this, this was the reason mr darcy was so determined to get bingley the hell out of there
