study smart not hard (altough both is best actually) this saying is so true

#my advice #but this saying is sooo true #i know some people at uni who study for exam so long and hard but then fail or just barely make it :(#like what are you doing? i don't mean this in a mean way but it doesn't have to be this difficult #i don't understand how some people can study for an exam for 2 weeks or even a month and still fail and i don't think they're stupid #or i don't see myself as particulary smart #but i guess they just waste their time a lot and i realized studying effective is so important #now everyone is a bit different and has to find what works best for them but there are certain techniques which are proven to work well #there is so much information on the internet on this look it up seriously #it made my life sm easier i never struggled in uni like i did in school and i get good grades #and if i ever struggled a bit it was because i started so late it was almost impossible to pass 😂#which is why to do both is still best 😂#but i actually always made it and i never failed an exam at uni (which i studied for)#(two i was fooled into to just try without studying bc it's easy lol)#i mean i shouldn't speak too soon but i already made it through some of the most difficult of my studies #ofc it depends on what you study how well this works but i'm speaking for myself #i once passed an exam with a B studying only 2 days as one of the best students while others studied 2 weeks #and got worse grades or failed #still studying only 2 days is stupidity don't do it 😅#so the techniques i find very helpful are ofc exam questions probably the best one #if there are none make your own #then blurting for which there are different ways but i like to just go over a topic and then write down everything i remember #then fill the gaps #quizlet is also great it's an app which allows you to create cards and then tests you in creative ways #videos can be helpful as well for summaries and using summaries in general is normally enough it saves you sm time #normally you don't actually need to know everything but you should be careful it's not a bad summary leaving out too much 😅#and i also like mindmaps bc i'm a very visual person #but all those tipps are mostly for remembering information so it doesn't work so well for other fields of study #well i hope this is somewhat helpful idk 🙈#oh and reading texts over and over again is the most useless in my opinion i don't remember much at all and it takes sm time

kinda insane how bigotry infects everything. i still dont feel good checking out the campus lgbt group despite being a senior now bc of the passive aggressive lesbophobia i got earlier

#like refusing to hand out lesbian pins and when we’d ask theyd kinda scoff and go ‘’why do you need it? just take the rainbow’’#(but ofc incorporating the blue flag asap)#not hosting any sapphic events for a while and ignoring our voices #refusing to put up our flag in the room and when they finally did it was half assed #i remember one time we had an event and the person hosting was like ‘’haha i can make custom badges!!’’#and there was a long line for lesbian badges. bc they had none. and the person was all flustered #like ‘’oh i didnt think thered be THAT many of you…. we dont have too many buttons sorryyyyyy’’#tbf it does seem like the lesbophobes graduated and whoever took their place has been better and got the pins in and has been better #but even in the groups they held there was just unchallenged lesbophobia like one girl constantly being passive aggressive #and mocking lesbians and saying ‘’i shouldnt be here bc im a filthy man liker ig. dont comfort me i know how you REALLY feel’’#and thats not even speaking towards how rude the previous leader was to me asking for an interview for the newspaper on discord #saying i shouldnt even have to bc ‘’people can just look up what ive done on the site so are you implying i didnt do enough?’’#which tbf i got an apology for but i was already dealing w anxiety and being iced out when id try to join in #like man i hope they keep trying to do better. do better for the ppl who come after me #but it was seriously so disappointing and isolating #echoed voice

The anti reactions from yesterday have me just shaking my head. I am by no means a professed stan of Jensen. I'm a fan of his works and I've followed his career, I appreciate his interactions with the public (like cons) as well as his public persona, but I don't worship the ground the guy walks on. He's a human being who I enjoy watching on my screen from time to time in different roles or displaying said public persona. That's it. I support him, but I don't stan him blindly, if that makes sense. Not him or any other celebrity.

That being said, I found the anti/critical reactions to something Jensen allegedly said that had been tweeted out from the Dallas Con to be very interesting and highly entertaining in some cases, especially with one particular anti blog that consistently claims to love this man and want the best for him while psychoanalyzing him and hating (and blaming everything that Jensen does/says that disappoints them) on his wife with the maturity level of a fourth grader. To put it bluntly, antis showed their asses yesterday and it is pure confirmation of what I and so many on here have been saying for quite some time now in regards to these posts/blogs.

Yesterday:

Tweet from the Gold Panel: "Jensen: 'he and I don't take on projects for the impact, we're serious about what we do.'"

Me: 'huh, you know, that wording seems a bit... Eh, you know what, knowing Jensen and how this fandom works anytime he dares to breathe, I'm going to wait to see the panel myself tomorrow and get the context of the question and his answer. If anything, he just misspoke, but I highly doubt he meant it in a bad way. Knowing him, he absolutely cares about the impact it has had on so many people and he might have thought the asker meant something else. Still, I'mma wait and see for myself.'

Antis:

and one particular blog (the one that claims to love him be in love with him):

'Jensen, you're no true actor and I would know since I'm an expert on acting! How dare you! You've hurt me so deeply!'

Today:

I watched the Gold Panel. Question was did the guys think about how massive the impact SPN would be in reference to their careers aka people knowing who they are, people following them, etc. Basically, did they know what it would become, something Jensen clarifies with the fan before answering. Jensen's actual response:

"Yeah, I don't, I mean, I guess to kind of quickly break it down, I don't think he and I go into any of these, uh, jobs or roles or stories thinking about the impact it's going to have externally. I think we go into it as...you know, they hire us to come in and do a job and...and he and I both, uh, we both take that job seriously even though it may not look like it all the time. But we also have a lot of fun doing the job because we truly enjoy doing what we do. That being said, we're not thinking 'oh let's do this because I want the effect that's going to have on a greater scale'. We're just doing our job. And hopefully, it resonates to people. Hopefully, somebody out there is entertained. And if that's the case, then we've done our job."

Me trying to see what had the antis losing their minds, especially that one blog and NOT finding it anywhere:

This is why you always watch the panels for yourself and avoid anti posts/blogs at all costs. They always claim they are there to be the opposite to AA's, to apply critical thinking, to view Jensen as human instead of a god, to be the ones with "a reality check", but they jump just as quickly as that group and crucify the guy before doing due diligence. Critical thinking should also include getting your facts straight before spreading misinformation (and in this case, more hatred). This is literally the same tool kit lawyers, law enforcement, and investigative journalists use all the time. It's good old common sense.

So block, mute, filter these people. Do whatever you gotta do, but this proves once and for all what we've all been saying. These anti/critical blogs that claim to "apply critical thinking" are full of shit.

Critical thinking is defined as "the objective analysis and evaluation of an issue in order to form a judgment." The reactions were not objective, especially the one blog that had an emotional heartbroken reaction. They were subjective, colored by their own biases. They did not analyze and evaluate the situation fully before issuing a judgement; they were missing a very crucial piece of the puzzle before they started sounding off and they knew it but they didn't care.

So the next time an anti/critical blog says in defense of their hating on/criticizing of Jensen (or anyone really) that they're applying critical thinking and you should try the same when you propose an alternative point of view (about Jensen or not), just remember it's all a smoke screen of bullshit. So again, block, mute, filter, whatever you gotta do. Personally, I think this shit's hilarious and entertaining on a Real-Housewives type level.

And that one blog that had such an emotional reaction to something that Jensen didn't even say in the way they thought he did, it's one thing for you to feel the way that you do, but spreading misinformation as you did, saying Jensen is no true performer, I don't know, maybe it's time to let go of your obsession with loving (aka being in love with) and hating this guy and move on?

also bc of the new content / season incoming rayllum and this blog have been getting more attention so just a few reminders / boundaries:

1) I’m not here to offer comfort or approval. You have or like a HC, just go for it. You’re worried or stressed about S4? That’s your thing, I’m happy and excited, and I come here to make fun stuff and have fun, not to offer reassurance (which, take a quick peek through my tags, you can already find spades of).

2) If you have a question regarding a character’s background or choices, there’s a good chance that information is already included on their wikipedia or on my meta page (directory and all). Please check those places first before sending an ask in.

3) My theories, opinions, and interpretations are just that: mine, and can matter as much or as little as you want them to. Recently there have been some posts detracting some ideas that I blog about often, or even sparingly originated, in ways that haven’t been particularly kind. By no means do people have to agree with me (like, at all), and while I make the stuff I do because it’s fun, I also put real effort and time into those things, often times 3-4 hours minimum if not more, and having that effort dismissed or derided is a bit hurtful if not also insulting, to say the least. Again, this is absolutely the minority of fans, but I think it’s very easy for people to forget there’s, well, a real whole other person behind a screen. I’m not in this to be right or wrong, I’m here to have fun and explore concepts, possible parallels, etc. Even (and when) I’ve disagreed with a theory or interpretation, I’ve typically done my best to be kind about if it it wasn’t related to trolling. I like to think the same courtesy will be extended to me.

idk if I’m just tired of seeing the same TTM discourse hashed out all over again (seeing people extend little to no sympathy to either Callum and/or Rayla was frustrating then and is frustrating now) or just feeling jaded by people writing off their relationship like it isn’t a clear cornerstone of the show, like they aren’t each other’s best friends, but I think both stem from being perpetually bored with people who refuse to engage with the media they consume in full, instead siphoning off favourite characters with bad takes and no compassion for anyone else in the cast, since it’s so diametrically opposed with how I - and I would say at least 70-90% of Rayllum fans - actually engage with TDP and its themes, characters, plot lines. Also: the dismissal reeks of jealousy and entitlement and just a little bit of aphobia, tbh

Basically:

Be kind to each other and please be kind to me. Learn to self regulate your own emotions. Tag properly. I may be taking a tiny step back from engaging with fandom in favour of focusing on writing the oneshots and projects I want to get out before S4 drops, and may see about regulating my ask box a bit more, but I’ll have to wait and see.

I do maintain that Deep Cut sees Splatfests as silly little fun games and none of them ultimately cares who wins, and they all have fun with it. However I do also think that Shiver at the very least does tend to think of themself as the ringleader of this circus

I don't think it's like...it's not Worst Way Possible a Shiver Hater might take it #but like. as they stated in this fest they're the one handling the very public facing fronts of Deep Cut (the splatcast)#they're not the leader of the troupe when Deep Cut is off banditing but they're in control of Deep Cut's most visible appearances #so I could easily see a kind of subconscious 'oh I'm the one leading this group' forming #that said I think they only excel on the controlled stages of the Anarchy Splatcast #throw a curveball their way and they fumble and get frustrated and lose their cool about it #anyways I'm team Frye. she won't plan ahead but she's fun and flexible.#really I think the answer to the question is 'none of these guys are the singular best it depends on what you need'#also I like how they lampshaded the 'hope this doesn't tear us apart!'. I highly doubt it seriously will .#like the Callie vs Marie fest had buildup. they were getting snippier with each other.#Deep Cut has ended every fest being friendly with each other. doing nice things for each other.
