my mother taught me to crochet when i was young. she was left handed, so she taught me how in the bathroom mirror so her hands would be in the right position.
she learned to crochet from her grandmother, who was right handed. her grandma was the one that originally used the bathroom mirror to teach her granddaughter properly.
i find something poetic about that. here in this bathroom mirror, through generations, we adapt to our young who have a different way of learning and interacting with the world

you know what hill i'll die on? terzo is not the sluttiest emeritus
I mean sure, he's the most dramatic and the most outspoken about sex, and he gave us Mummy Dust which is its own discussion-- but I sincerely don't see him, in his private life, being so promiscuous. Like out of all of them, I'm the most certain Terzo would be either monogamous or have a few regular partners at most, but I don't think he'd be big on casual flings. Frankly I don't even see him having sex that much at this point, he seems more attached to it as a concept than an actual activity he regularly engages in.
You know who's the inverse of that, though? The one Tobias himself calls a pervert? Secondo. There's your whore. I know he looks big and mean and authoritary but let's be honest, half of Infestissumam is about ritual sex and he's out in Vegas on the regular with more women than he can reliably satisfy. He says it himself that he became Papa because "he likes a sexy beat". THERE'S THE EMERITUS WHORE, AND I'M CERTAIN OF IT

actually i love it when the characters are all lying. i love it when they all have secrets and none of them trust each other. i love being given clues that solve puzzles i haven't even been presented with yet. i also love it when i get chills watching a scene without even knowing what it means, and when i do know what it means, i get even more chills. i love theorizing and thinking and solving and coming up with possibilities of where a story might be going. i love it and i will do it for free, for fun, for no real reason.
this is a mystery appreciation post!! if you appreciate mysteries and secrets and stories that slowly unravel before you, please interact!!!

one thing i love about charles is that he's always ready to throw down. no problem is so complex it can't be solved with violence. he looked at this fucked up, illogical world of supernatural horrors beyond comprehension with its myriad complicated rules, where every entity has it's own unique vulnerability and decided that you know what? there actually is a universal solution to every problem called Bash That Thing's Fucking Head In - and it works a solid 99% of the time!
Much like he doesn't care about every lock having a unique key, he doesn't care about the specifics of defeating monsters and nightmares. Yeah he knows all about casting spells, this next one is something called MOLOTOV COCKTAIL

Really really hoping that Maleficia at least appears later on for Malleus' sake. I mean, Malleus will probably not realize the gravity of what he did immediately after his overblot ends, but imagine once he calms down and reflects on the events a bit more. Once he understands that aside from putting everyone in a bad spot, he himself is trapped in a bad spot in the first place, which was what drove him to do what he did despite being an otherwise tolerant person all his life. And his grandmother didn't even bother to pull him out of it, nor hurry to his side even if she couldn't do anything. That his remaining blood parent was never aware of the things he was going through. She was never emotionally available for him.
That would wreck him.
And if the rumor mill is true and his biological dad's just under his nose the entire time, that would destroy him even more because all his life he was craving for a mother, a father, for any semblance of companionship to guide him when he was young and fumbling to walk. If his dad was alive all this time, how could he have never approached him even once? Especially when he needed it most? It's a family friend, someone who isn't even connected to him by blood, who cared for him even if he technically had no obligations to do so. He was rejected by his own flesh and blood.
He was rejected by everyone. Nobody genuinely liked him save for a very select few. Everybody feared him. Multiple people have tried to kill him simply for existing. He just wanted to show "love"; to give everyone what he believes is mercy because he thinks nobody deserves to feel the same loneliness that tormented him all his life.
But now that he did what he did, nobody has any reason to stay. He's all alone again, just like he was before he was even born.

DHMIS art request - The cast interacts with your chosen members of Sesame Street! It could be good for them…or horrifying for the residents of the Street. Perhaps both!
:^) I love you Seasme Street. I think if they went to Seasme street they would be okay. The pure joy and heart in Seasme Street would ward off all things that try to hurt them, okay?
