Everyone loves it when Husker gets cat traits— purring, mewing, headbutts of affection, and scratching behind the ear are all adorable.

Personally, I want it to go either weirder with the cat traits, or adding avian traits (that can be weird.)

Example of Weird Cat Trait: Cats consider grooming to be an activity that asserts dominance. Now I want you to imagine Husk picking off dust or stray hairs on hotel patrons (or whoever you ship him with,) and putting up his usual grouchy act. Or y'know. A case of the zoomies.

Examples of bird traits: Do you guys think Husker preens his wings? Fusses with pinfeathers? Does he ruffle his feathers when he bristles? Do you think he does a silly lil mating dance—

maybe this is funnier as an introject but when i write fanfiction of my source i'm actually writing... about myself. like, those dimilix fics you see on my writing blog? lmao yeah that's actually my self insert named felix hugo fraldarius, not felix hugo fraldarius.

Finally I decided to change the art tag. "Nika tries to draw" was chosen when I only started drawing. 4-5 years ago?? But now I gained some skill and that tag doesn't sound right 😭

Fanfic post-revision wordcount update. Because it gives my brain the happy chemicals to report on this.

After a few months of poking at my other WiPs, I've gotten back to writing the post-series pre-Shamballa FMA03 AU fics. Yes, there are two of them because this is 03 and Ed and Al are separated. Yes I'm writing them simultaneously (more or less). No, they're not posted anywhere (yet) because they're nowhere near even 25% complete yet. The stories are intended to mirror and-or complement one another, so I will have to post chapters simultaneously and the back-log of edited chapters is not yet to my liking. I also still don't have titles for either one, but I have settled on "Mind the Gap" as the series title.

Ed's story underwent some not exactly light revisions because of some serious restructuring to the background material. The new at-chapter-20 wordcount is 88,626 (up from 84,709). Current chapter count: 25, current arc complete.

Al's story only needed some light tweaking, so the new at-chapter-20 wordcount is only 82,425 (up from 82,260). Current chapter count: 26, but the current arc still has one chapter left to be written.

I am finally creeping up on the halfway mark for Part 1, so yay!

You know what's neat? When you are just struggling you way through a conversation you weren't even planning to write in your original story and one of your characters just fucking...drops a piece of unexpected knowledge for you and you just look at it for a hot second and realize EXACTLY where that is going to reconnect in the story later and it is WAY better than the thing you were originally going to do. Just freaking... UNEXPECTED LOOT DROP. TREAT YO SELF. DON'T MIND IF I DOOOO!
