It's a slightly alternative universe where Aziraphale and Crowley have somehow never met each other until the present day and each thinks the other is a human.

Each of them has been tasked by their respective head offices to retrieve Raphael's trumpet and each of them wants to find and destroy it. The trumpet will be sold on earth at an illegal auction and in order to gain entry to the auction they have to pretend to be married.

This fiction has it all: characters' personalities are spot on, humour, wit, dynamic, romance, everything!

At the beginning you might feel slightly put off by the first person narrative but give it a couple of chapters and it will flow.

You won't regret it!

Human AU where Crowley is an unemployed florist whose name is very similar to the incredibly famous and successful retired wedding planner Antonio Cowley. Anathema and Newton are planning their marriage and Aziraphale is the maid of honour. Oh, and gabriel is the priest celebrating the wedding. I loved the humour in this fiction and the way it captures the characters' personalities. Absolutely delightful.

My wee fiction, Second Chances And Second Choices

Not half as good as any of the others I'm recommending (Or the ones I've left out) but it's my baby, so... Kind of season 3 fiction, post (failed) second coming. Aziraphale is hoping this is the beginning of his life with Crowley but Crowley seems to be of a different opinion. Until old enemies turn up at Aziraphale's door. Low angst, happy ending. I wish it had better humour, I wish some bits didn't feel as much of a stretch as they do but fair enough.

i want to infodump hcs about vin, asphodel & their world so i AM below the cut!

so asphodel is very capable and informed on a lot of skills that have since become obsolete- they're an experienced garment maker, tailor, cook, and know a lot of very traditional handwork skills, but they can't use a smart phone to save their life. meanwhile vin is a twitch streamer and uses the internet for everything, but has absolutely no idea about the offline world (especially since he stays inside as often as he does) and is easily baffled by, like. driving. or cooking. or navigating w/o google maps. (also his sense of direction is Awful)

i think vin has only RECENTLY come to the human world; he remained in Hell for the majority of time and worked there and scarcely interacted with humans & wound up summoned by accident & bound to the human world like... within the last couple years. meanwhile i think asphodel is like, way more knowledgeable but also Not; they're kind of stuck in an archaic mindset and have not kept up well with the progress of technology, but Vin knows like, NOTHING about human history or worldly happenings yet adapted to technology VERY fast.

they both have extremely large blind spots in their human knowledge that make them very fun, especially since they're both kind of contrary to the perspective you'd expect them to have as a demon and an angel. like, vin generally thinks people are neat, and fun, and enjoys them even if it's in kind of a theoretical way. while asphodel is generally disillusioned with people and finds them simultaneously worth learning from but also generally lacking and not worth personal interactions with.

also tbh my views of this universe's "heaven" and "hell" are largely inspired by things like kuroshitsuji and hades, because i LOVE the afterlife being a big bureaucracy

IMO they're like... ok so my idea for the afterlife in this universe is 90% "every religion and lack thereof is simultaneously right, and what happens to you after death is a matter of belief and personal conviction, so careful record-keeping is the main duty of all celestial beings". so like, christian heaven & hell are just one of several Large Bureaucracies and their jobs are to keep track of believers, record their lives & then moderate where they should go once that life ends. Everyone gets a Trial at the end of their life where they have a defense lawyer (angel) and prosecutor (demon) who argue which outcome they should get. permanent sentences in hell are actually pretty rare and hell has adopted more of a greco-roman "serve time for your crimes & then get to go to heaven when your sentence ends" system (with the permanent sentences being Notable Punishments a'la sisyphus, tantalus etc who break Big Fundamental Rules in the Most Egregious Ways). and those who go to hell are essentially doing community service to help the company and/or act as Human Batteries (demons feed on human energy monsters inc style, and collect said energy from sinners) until they've served their sentence and are allowed to go to heaven, which is pretty much, like, just an endless existence where all needs and struggles are no more & people can just Vibe Forever)

mostly because the idea of hell just being dry capitalism & the prison-industrial complex is very funny to me & also i can't think of anything Worse than being forced to endure Capitalism for a little longer

anyways it means that asphodel's outlook is kind of moralistic & judgemental- they were a celestial defense lawyer & therefore are predisposed to judging people based on their actions & hypocracies- while vin's is very neutral, like. well bad people are just more people who need to get their shit together & serve their sentence & then they'll be fine. (and/or they're just Food Sources so no hard feelings.) so he's generally pretty friendly & amenable while asphodel has a very moral judgement model of thinking & cares deeply about Humanity Overall & heavily judges those who act against the good of Humanity, Collectively.

It's part of why they're so anti-technology & why Vin is so chill w/it- they believe much of the progress made in the 21st century is against the Good of Humanity, while Vin generally views it as "some people are cool some people suck but mostly it's just what it is". also ALSO! demons and angels are both beings made of just, like, pure energy. the main difference between them is essentially whether they have a positive or negative charge, basically. angels are tapped into the Universal Source Of All Energy (think lifestream a la final fantasy; this is also the outcome for those who don't believe in an afterlife- their life force becomes one with the universal energy source & melds with all other energy) & can endlessly Produce it, needing no source of energy to maintain life; "tiers" of angels are basically determined by the strength of that connection & how easily they can draw from it; archangels can draw more than angels, etc. while demons are NOT connected to that source and must draw from alternate sources such as humans.

this is why they use sinners as batteries in hell, & also why concepts like incubus/succubus exist- demons who go draw life directly from the living. that 'life' can be collected via strong emotions & strong feelings- they don't have to be negative a la torture BUT that is a very quick & easy way to collect; incubi/succubi generally use seduction to evoke strong emotions; some demons do even use things like comedy to collect. vin has an interest in horror media & horror games BECAUSE he can harvest fear from an audience that way; it's a safe haunted house way of collecting a lot of small snacks instead of one big meal. and the strength of demons is largely determined by how big their stockpile of energy is; higher tier demons have larger stockpiles, while lower tiers like vin usually just collect enough to sustain themselves & don't have much Extra. It's a Jesus Weekend, and in my role as the ‘Almighty Gob’ I preach comments in typical form from the pulpit of satire. Amen.

Does anyone know what was actually good about Friday? Severe hailstones, perhaps? Our NHS still in dire straits, people continuing to use food banks, and migration sorted?

Never mind, it's all good on Good Friday because Jesus died for us, apparently, and this alone makes all the hardship and misery we now face in the world worthwhile. Knowing what we all know now it should come as no great surprise he was nailed to a cross at that time for what would become arguably some of the greatest crimes against humanity by humanity.

As someone who was brought up as a Roman Catholic, you may well be surprised to read such a bold statement from me. No doubt there will be those who deem me as blasphemous, even a heretic committing the most egregious of cardinal sins, and for this, I should be cast into the fires of hell forever.

To this very day, I still struggle to get my head around the fact that some people in the world choose to believe what's probably one of the best human-control fairy stories ever written. Let alone places called heaven and hell.

Anyway, here we are. It's Easter weekend and I'm stuck on a crossword clue. 2 across - Q. Where was Jesus nailed? This might take a while as it's several years since I last attended church and nearly all memories of religion have since faded. I may well have to put it down to another of the remaining unanswered anomalies. Such as how an ethereal being managed to have a son in real life; so the story goes, through a virgin woman. As stated (among a great many other things) in my book 'The Sexual Philanthropist' such an event nowadays would be a complete sellout at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Better still, it would take one heck of an illusionist to put on a show where he was nailed to a cross, died, and then emerged within a few days full of life and firing on all cylinders as if nothing happened. Pretty damn impressive even by Netflix programme audience popularity. Beat that, Harry and Meghan.

So, what's changed since the Romans vacated Jesus’ territory back in the day? Not a lot really, as two-thousand years or so later quite a few issues related to religion lead the way where conflict is concerned. Such as the location of holy sites and acrimonious divorce-worthy narratives which totally screw the potential for any peace between Islam and Judaism. On one side of the religious divorce battle, extreme Zionists make protestations regarding how the Jewish state should be, while their Islamist co-respondents have their own version of liberating all that's holy to the Zionists, and preach hatred and violence as a means of winning the divorce battle by use of terrorism - and for which they are now proscribed as a terrorist organisation.

All of which brings me on to a growing bunch of airheads who deserve to have their colons cleansed using bleach and wire wool, as it's entirely pointless going any further up their bodies to their heads because compared to the more sane and rational of people in the world, these airheads have spaces in their brains that any alleged signs of previous rationality and commonsense appear to have vacated long ago - if ever there in the first place.

These are the pro-Palestine gormless idiots who espouse the boycott of Israeli goods and services and make two short planks look like the most sophisticated computer technology in the world while using their Apple and Android phones to touch base with other idiots of the same ilk and do their best to influence more normal people into not buying Israeli goods and services, they do so completely oblivious to the fact that the phones they are using include technology developed by Israeli companies. Will these pillocks give up their phones in protest though? Somehow I think not. Oh, and don't use Windows apps either folks. Guess why?

Oh, and speaking of transport, I wonder how many will cancel their holiday flights abroad this year, since our airport security systems are packed with Israeli technology.

And before I forget. Should any of them, their relatives and friends have cancer they may as well go home, take shit loads of morphine and die in bed. Why? Because it's more than likely cancer treatments offered by the NHS will have been invented in Israel. Equally, anyone who has a stent implanted should get it removed with immediate effect as a boycott protest against Israel, which, by a strange coincidence also invented it.

Ever heard of a 'SniffPhone'? Probably not, but it's a piece of medical equipment that can actually 'sniff out' diseases. It works like a breathalyser and detects cancer of the gastric and lung varieties, as well as Parkinsons, dementia, MS and many other illnesses. What about the 'Pillcam', heard of this? Who'd have guessed it was an Israeli invention in the shape of a minicam that takes photos of the intestinal tract?

Still, as long as the boycott idiots remain all self-satisfied and happily virtue-signalling in blissful ignorance, why should they let facts get in the way of personal feelings and emotional incontinence, huh? Anyway, whatever else these lunatics do, they should not take my sardonic and non-medically trained advice. While remembering at all times that any such attempt at shortening their lives should not be conducted without first seeking the advice of a medically qualified practitioner, and preferably one outside the jurisdiction of Geneva.

With all that said, I now find myself back where I began, whenever that was two thousand or so years ago, and what was good about Friday, again?

Hey everyone! I'm back! Sorry I haven't blogged in awhile! It's been a crazy ride the last few weeks. I was sick for awhile. Just now getting my energy back. How has everyone been? I don't know about you, but I feel like the world is going crazy. Every time you turn on the news, something is happening. School shootings, natural disasters, etc. Even churches are turning away from God. One thing really blew my mind. I don't know if you heard, but Disney is now letting men dress up as Disney Princesses at Disney World. Wait, what? Yeah, I was confused too. To be honest, it made me mad. Why would you have a guy dress up as a princess where children are at? It's not even transgenders. They're actual men. That's just taking it too far. What's going to be next? I'm not going to lie, I've been thinking about giving up Disney since I found out about this. At least the movies from 2010 until now. I know people will say I'm overreacting, but am I though? You might say they're just expressing themselves or whatnot, but I think there's a deeper issue here. We have an enemy and he wants to do everything he can to confuse us and turn us away from God. He doesn't want us to have anything to do with God and go against His law. Don't you think he's doing that now? One of the biggest companies in the world is now letting men be princesses. You don't think that's going to confuse children? They're going to think that's ok when it's really not. In fact the whole world is getting confused and going against The Word. Right now, people are celebrating Pride month for the LGBTQ+ community. A whole month about celebrating sin. I know I'll probably get a lot of backlash for this, but God says it is. You can read it in Romans 1:24-32 and  Leviticus 18:22. Those are just a couple verses right there in black and white. Yes, I know we have free will and people will say they can't help it, but it still doesn't make it right. I don't want to get too deep into that today though. My point is that people are making it seem that it's ok. Not just with LGBTQ+ and men dressing up as Princesses, but in other areas too. I just found out that there's this new video game called Diablo 4 where you can kill demons. The subtitle or whatever it's called says "Welcome To Hell." Yeah, no way that game is coming into my house. People are now promoting demons and making it seem like it's no big deal. The spirit world is real though and we're not supposed to have anything to do with it or demons. Why are we thinking it's ok then? Well, the enemy is trying to plant a seed and tell us it's not a big deal. Unfortunately, many people are listening. Even Christians are starting to conform to this "new norm."  As believers in Christ though, we're not supposed to conform to this world and fit in. We're supposed to stand for what's true, good and God's Will. You can read it in Romans 12:2. I believe it's time for Christians to take a stand and let people know this is not ok. I remember this quote from the movie God's Not Dead 2 that says, "I would rather stand with God and be judged by the world, than stand with the world and be judged by God." That should be our motto. We should want to stand with God because He loves us and knows what's best for us. Don't be afraid to speak up. Will you be mocked or ridiculed or whatever? Most likely, yes. Trust me though, it'll be worth it. You might have hardships down here, but if you continue to stand with God and keep your faith, you will have great reward in Heaven. Read Matthew 5:10-12. The Gospel is clear on what's right and wrong. It's our job as believers to spread The Gospel and stand up for what's true and right, even if you'll get laughed at or whatever.

We're in a war right now. Not against flesh, but of forces of darkness. We need to step up right now more than ever. Satan is working overtime right now. Which, brings me to another thought. Why is he working so hard right now to cause destruction and turmoil and confusion? It's because he knows his time is coming to an end. He knows the end of the story, which is not a happy ending for the loser. It is a happy ending for us, believers in Christ, though. The Bible says Jesus will come back as King and set everything right, throw satan into the deepest part of Hell where he will never get out and God will dwell with His children forevermore. If you ask me, satan is just a scaredy cat sissy. LOL I believe Jesus is coming back real soon. Of course no one knows the exact time. Only God knows. It says so in Mark 13:32. With everything happening in the world though, it looks like we're closer now than ever. That's why we have to get ready. Put your faith in Jesus, turn away from your sins and own desires and don't conform with the world. Don't keep thinking you have time to get closer to God. Jesus can come back any day and it will unfortunately be too late for some people. Now is the time to get right with God and stand with Him no matter what. One day, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. I choose to do that now though. We need to put on the full Armor of God every day and stop letting satan try to blind us. Pray fervently and keep watch. We know who wins at the end of this battle. Well, I'm out for now friends. 600 words evaluation

Self Reflective

I could remember most of the skills, which we had learned during the first year so it wouldn't feel immensely difficult or pressuring, however indesign was an application which isn't something i have ever used. probably only for the first week with Hannah to create a zine of nature.

I had learnt a new skill during my first week of second year. such as typography spacing to create each sets of column to fit all of the text from my essay called Anti Ghost.

We had to use 2 fonts called Helvetica Neue and times new roman.

As we were creating a 12 page Essay layout with the original essay which was handed to us beforehand.

The difficulty of doing such task as laying out the text to fit a large portion of pages wasn't as difficult as it had sounded but what mattered was how fast and clean it looked to match the pages such as having a small paragraph on 1 side and the next had more words but smaller as-well to obviously match it so it would feel intentional rather than just randomly placing text to rush the work.

I managed to do at-least 24 pages, however i could have completed more pages, if i had made word even smaller such as paragraph or just leave the word alone to stand out as it could have a deep meaning, which could resonate with the reader.

The colour i used was red as we were only allowed to use 1 colour.

The reason why i used such colour was due to how the essay was portrayed because it was about ghost, who have died before and can't go to heaven or hell and have no home so they use their rage and anger as a formless art to create destruction and terror across the world to satisfy themselves because they were bored of the world.

Artist Research was mainly on David Carson, who has done BitRot type design such as placement of objects on a person face to change and give a new perspective of how a person would look while the face is covered with colour and squares.

I had found artist on pinterest and instagram, who as-well do design like typography and random colours and object to create a new design.

My BitRot outcome was making it look 3d as it was like a door such as dimension which random colours pass through, which gives the visual idea of ghost passing and surfing through the world looking for a new place to call home.

The project as a whole felt like a breeze because the work was not difficult at all but time management was what ruined it for me as i need to make time for myself and make schedules so i didn't feel like everything has to be rushed, which is what ruins most of the outcome.

The first project is over which i have managed to complete the list as i have completed the to do list.

We also did practical work such as meeting the GF Smith company, who visited us and looked at different paper material.

We had to draw at-least 24 example of how a page would be spread out with images and text under 10 minutes, which would speed up the class thought process under pressure.

Overall, majority of this project was helpful as i had learned new skills to use for the future and now understand how indesign works so it has a more versatile use as i could use it with other applications such as photoshop and illustrator etc to create a new design.
