Since western media (especial American) are working overtime to suppress South Africa's hearing and Yemeni voices I want you to keep these 3 points in mind:
Not 1 major American news outlet broadcasted the South Africa case hearing on Thursday, but they broadcasted Israel's case hearing, today, Friday 12/1/2024.
Yemen has repeatedly said that the Red Sea blockage is because it's following its duty to upload "Article 1 on the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the crime of Genocide" and IS NOT to "endanger the freedom of navigation in one of the world's most vital waterways" like Biden put it, in his statement.
Gaza Strip is still under severe bombardment. Don't allow yourself to get used to it. They just bombed an entire neighborhood in Khan Yunis which is a southern city! And as of recently the electricity has gone off in a hospital because gas has ran out.

this is your daily reminder that it's been over 65 years since cuba overthrew batista's US-backed fascist dictatorship and the US is STILL keeping cuba in extreme poverty using an "embargo."
back in the 1950s, using US funds and US-trained soldiers, batista (not castro) removed most of cubans' rights, including the right to strike, censored all media, and used secret police to torture and publicly excute anyone who protested his dictatorship. In a document released by the CIA in 2005, it stated as many as 20,000 people were killed. In return, batista gave control of most of the arable land to the US. during the revolution, this land was reclaimed and redistributed, which means that USAmericans can now sue anyone who "traffics" in this "confiscated" property.
Despite US sanctions being an "embargo," the US also fines foreign companies for doing business in Cuba, meaning it's effectively a blockade. Despite Obama lightening some of these restrictions, Biden has done little to undo the tightened policies from Trump's administration.
In November, the UN called for the 31st time (!!!) for the US blockade to end, supported by 187 countries and opposed only by the US and its bestest buddy (I'll let you guess who).
Cuba has been in economic crisis for years. Monthly income in Cuba is $30-60. There is very little food and it is hard to purchase anything like toiletries, clothes, and over-the-counter medicines. Domestic production is down because they don't have the resources to sustain them. The US has been intentionally impoverishing and starving Cuba for decades, and they continue to make it clear that it is not going to stop.
So, yeah. US democracy is a joke, end the US blockade on Cuba, and fuck genocide joe.

Just a genuine reminder, simply liking and reblogging posts or just paying attention to what's happening in places like Palestine, The Congo, Sudan, Yemen, Syria, etc. Does help!
If you can't donate or boycott because you're a minor or in a situation where you can't afford to try signing petitions and spreading awareness so others who can afford to can have information
Edit: there are a lot of good suggestions for what to do in the reblogs that I forgot to mention

Everyday I think about Gaza
When I go to bed, warm and comfortable. I think about the freezing people in tents who barely have scraps to keep them alive
When I take a shower, unafraid of the water stopping or going cold. I think of the people in gaza who havent showered for months and barely have clean drinking water.
When I watch my brother play with his race cars and my sister with her dolls, I think about the children, who despite all their hardships still find ways to smile and play
When we sit down to eat dinner, never having to fear food on the table the next day. I think about the starving mothers who can't feed her children and the older siblings walking miles to feed his siblings. I think about the people who died of starvation. I think about the people of gaza
When I go to my school where my friends chat and my teachers teach, I think about the universities demolished and the aspiring students who are no more
When my parents leave for a few hours and I take care of my siblings, I know they'll be back in a while to take over. But what about the teenagers turned parents? What about the orphans caring for toddlers? What about the children in gaza
Every day I think about the hopeful people of Palestine. The brave people of Palestine. The relentless people of Palestine. The stubborn and beautiful people of Palestine.
When I look at my house, the buildings, the sky, the water, my family, the lights, the sun, the internet, the food, my school, my friends, the children, the parks, the birds, the cats, the toy stores, the supermarkets, the bustling crowds, the heavy traffic
my world so full of life...
I think about Gaza

It has been confirmed that the 1st day of Eid will be this Wednesday, so to all my fellow muslims out there, Eid Mubarak and may Allah accept your good deeds that you did throughout the month of Ramadan and i hope that you made the most out of it spiritually, religiously, socially, mentally & physically etc…
I hope that you did not forget to pray and make dua’a for the people of Gaza, Sudan, Syria, Yemen and all oppressed people around the world, and i wish that you continue to pray for them even after Ramadan is over…
This Eid we shall not celebrate as we do each and every year, you can obviously visit your family and friends and gather up to enjoy being around loved ones, but don’t forget that Gazans have no loved ones this year to celebrate with, and even if they do, they’ll be celebrating Eid amidst the rubble and the sound of bombings.
So please, respect people’s grief, be thankful and grateful, and don’t forget the oppressed… let’s continue our fight for Palestinian liberation in any way that we can, and let’s hope to hear news about a ceasefire very soon 🙏

If you’re Israel & you kill 29,000+ Palestinians in 3 months, the US will fund you, provide you diplomatic cover & unconditional military aid.
If you’re Yemen & you kill 0 people & block a shipping route to try to stop this mass murder, the US will drop 100 bombs on you. .
The US spends 2 million dollars on each missile they use to destroy a $2000 drone... Unreal
