A two-part film....
Let's just see how much of haikyuu's story is left to cover:
1) Nekoma vs Karasuno
2) Fukurodani match
3) Kamomadai vs Karasuno
4) Brazil arc
5) MSBY vs Adlers
6) Final chapter with another timeskip...
Now, since the PV shows the manga panels of the msby vs adlers, and the final chapter, safe to say that they are aiming to animate from chapters 292 to 402.... that's three main matches. And two timeskips. In two movies.
Either they are gonna cut corners or the movies are going to be hella long. And I don't really like the idea of a movie for main arcs of any anime/manga....i am one of those people, living in a country where anime content is not hella popular or catered to. To put this into perspective, i watched JJK0 in theatres in June 2022....the movie was initially released in Oct 2021.
In terms of content, two movies don't make sense. And I know that the movies aren't going to be a great payoff. It won't do the story any justice. I'd rather wait years between seasons and see it being done right, instead of wanting to just wrap it all up.
I was personally expecting the Fukurodani match, Nekoma vs Karasuno and Karasuno vs Kamomadai in one season of 24 eps and the Brazil arc as an OVA, and finally a 12 episode season with MSBY vs Adlers and the final chapter.
I am happy that the anime is still continuing after the blunder that was S4. And the movie decision very well could be influenced by the poor performance of S4. (The art style and the animation style of S4, especially coming off of the brilliance that was S3, was just unsatisfactory). But seasons are always better than movies.
Hopefully the story is done justice to and it gets the treatment it deserves.
Here's to the continuation of Haikyu, I guess.

GIRL THE FUKURODANI MATCH IS ALSO A TOP CONCERN OF MINE LMAO but i think they might have episodes dedicated to it in s5 the way the inarizaki match was intercepted with the nekoma episodes in s4??

I'll be honest, I don't think this is enough genuinely not simply for the Fukurodani match but for the remaining Haikyu chapters in general. It would be safer for it to be a 2 cour anime season as I'm sure that's enough for 3 matches (Nekoma, Fukurodani, Kamomedai) with the movie being the timeskip.
I'M SO SCARED WE WON'T GET THE FUKURODANI MATCH THOUGH BECAUSE IT'S NOT ONLY GIVING CENTER FOCUS TO BOKUTO AND AKAASHI'S RELATIONSHIP BUT ALSO FUKURODANI AS A WHOLE, I love that team and their friendship means so much to me. Without a doubt Bokuaka has so much precious and iconic moments but I'm also heavily vouching for the Fukurodani match because Fukurodani deserves so much more love and appreciation :<

We finally received more news on the Haikyuu film, so I figured I'd share my thoughts about it.

im getting the urge to watch hq rn but theres a 50% chance i will be sitting there mad about the 2 FUCKING MOVIES . That Are supposed to fit THAT much into the show. Im so fucking mad bro seasons 1-3 were SO FUCKING GOOD and like haikyu was SET to become a classic shonen that everyone would recommend without a second thought because its fucking awesome. And then season 4 happened and the outsourcing of animation and how shitty everything looked and honestly at this point if they had just done season 5 being like 12-15 episodes really focusing on vs nekoma and fukurodani stuff the last match, And then a whole other 12 episode season about the epilogue and stuff, i think most ppl would overlook how shitty s4 was. Like not only would that make your (now very large) fanbase happier you would also set up, as i said b4, hq as a classic, as a solid introduction to the sports anime genre, as a timelessly great shonen anime with some of the nostalgic feeling many shojo tend to elicit. Like I know its for the money and ultimately theres an element of hate the game not the player here, its just depressing seeing a show take a down turn like that simply in the name of profit. Now, the purpose is to decide which characters I’m writing about
How does this work?
So I have this wheel that lists the names of the wheels and it tells me which one to pick from and then I spin that wheel which tells me which character
