He tries to remember the time, the last time, he spent Christmas with Bradley. He was around…twelve? Thirteen? It was when he started to get taller and his hair was getting wavier, much like Goose’s. Well, even better than Goose’s.
Seeing him with a family, a wife and a child, spending Christmas again was…really nice. He was really happy that he finally got that and he was happy that he could be part of it.
He was just…a bit nervous.
When Rooster told him about Beatrice’s family he found it incredibly amusing how his tall nephew appeared to be a bit nervous when meeting them. Then he just took them as his other family and now he was relaxed…but Mav still remembered Rooster telling him about her massive brothers, her uncles and aunts ( one of them was a witch??) and meeting them at their wedding was fine.
But it’s a completely different ordeal when it’s about their Christmas tradition. And Maverick was told, by both Bradley and Beatrice, that he didn’t need to bring anything - especially considering how many people would be there- just their presence was enough. Penny and Amelia were excited, the two hadn’t celebrated Christmas with such a huge family in ages either.
As they parked the car, one behind the other, Maverick steps out to meet Rooster on the sidewalk, “Brad.” he calls quietly. His nephew was holding the passenger door open for the dogs to come out and for Beatrice to pick Nicole up, turning his head with a grin, “Are you sure it’ll be okay to show up empty handed?’
“Huh? Yeah, of course.” Bradley says with a shrug, “The Schiavonis are really cool, they don’t really care as long as you enjoy yourself there….they might give you something though, but they’d never want anything back.”
“Wait,really?”
“Yep,” he pops the ‘p’ when he says so, stepping back so Beatrice walks out with Nicole in toll, “So just accept it, nod your head and be chill. They want you to have fun.” he pushes the door closed, “And you are with us, don’t worry about it.”
“I can’t remember the last time I celebrated Christmas with a huge family.” he pauses, “I…I don’t think I ever did to be honest.”
“It’ll be okay,Mav.” Beatrice’s soft voice says, smiling at him, “You’ll be okay, just stay close to us and you’ll see. My parents will adore you even more, after all you are Nikki’s grandpa too.” Nicole looked up at him with a gummy grin,well, partially gummy now that the little teeth were breaking through, showing just enough on her bottom gum.
That little smile eased him off a bit, “...okay.” he laughs, “I…I’ll do my best.”
“Just follow us,Mav. You’ll be alright.” Rooster smirks, placing a hand on Beatrice’s lower back and guiding her up the front steps, with Maverick,Penny and Amelia following behind them.
Beatrice looked back at the three, Amelia was happily pointing out to her mother the different types of Christmas decoration hanging on the walls and the railing, gesturing to the dangling santa on the roof and the tiny reindeers on the windows. Beatrice smiles, glad they were having a bit of fun at least…her anxiety was, unfortunately, still present.
It wasn’t as strong as it was before, but the closer they got to her parents’ house, the worse it got. She knew what she had to do, she knew how to act and what to say so her parents wouldn’t be suspicious.
Is it going to work? Only the night would tell.
She was thankful that the skirt hid most of her stomach and whatever bump that slowly appeared, but she did tug her blouse a bit just out of habit because she just wanted everything to appear normal. However, her constant tugging called Rooster’s attention, his hand lowering from touching the doorbell as he stared at the movement, “Baby.” she looks up at him in surprise, “You are being anything but subtle.”
‘Crap.” she whispers, chewing her lower lip, “I can’t help it.”
“You can, you are doing fine.” he takes hold of her hand when both hear footsteps approaching the door, “Remember you are with me and Nikki,” Nicole babbled happily, “And with the dogs…you’ll do fine.”
“Okay.”
Seconds after they finished their quiet conversation the door swung open to reveal Claudia. She, much like always, melted upon seeing Nicole, grabbing her from Beatrice to kiss her soft cheeks as the dogs hurried inside, “Come in,come in!” she waves her hand for her daughter and son in law to step inside, “All of you,come on!’
Bradley looks back and sees that Mav is standing there a bit awkwardly, by himself since Penny and Amelia walked inside as soon as Claudia offered a way in. Rooster pauses, then turns his body to reach his uncle, stepping behind him and gently pushing him forward.
His stature, and strength, was more than his uncle’s, so Maverick couldn’t stop when his feet dragged upwards to the stairs, “Brad!”
“You were frozen in place, stop that.”
“I…” Maverick was already on the third step, two more and he’d get to the door, “I just got nervous- this is a nice house.”
“And this is just the outside.”
Beatrice was waiting for them by the door, her mother was chatting with Penny and Amelia. There was something adorable about her parent wanting to know more about her boss,in fact it was really sweet because they didn’t like what she did and now…now it was something else entirely.
But seeing Rooster practically push Maverick up the steps was too funny for her not to smile, stepping back so the older pilot could get inside, his light eyes moving around the area with his brows wide, “Woah.”
Beatrice giggles, looking just like he did at the decoration surrounding them, “Yeah,my mom did go all out.” she says,”I think it’s mainly because she found out you guys were coming over and she wanted to impress.”
“I’ve never seen so much stuff,” he didn’t say in a way to be offensive, he was genuinely gobsmacked by what he was seeing and Rooster loved how his uncle got speechless. The younger pilot pushes the door closed and shrugs off his coat, telling Mav to do the same since the patio was heated, “A heated patio? Holy shit.”
“My parents are full of surprises.”
Maverick, while setting the coat on the hanger, looked up at the many pictures on the wall. It went from the front door to the hallway and living room, a living room he could partially see because of the threshold. He noticed that the dogs, so many dogs, immediately rushed over to him. He knew Jolene,Eleanor and Jack, but he didn’t know the other two pitbulls.
The biggest one of the two sniffed his shoes, with the other not far behind, then trailed its nose up his leg until it reached his hand. And then it tossed Maverick’s hand on top of it’s huge head, its whole body shaking happily, “That’s Pomodoro.” Beatrice smiles, laughing when the other one nudges closer, “And that’s Marinara, they are Jolene’s parents.”
“Ah,I knew I could see a resemblance.” he says, leaning down to gently pet the dogs and sputtering when a large tongue just swiped up his chin and lips, ending on his nose. He laughs, gently pushing Pomodoro away to wipe his face. Seeing that the dogs couldn’t understand that not everyone could have the slobbery kisses so soon, Beatrice tugged the two by the collars.
Soon enough,Rafael made his way inside. He greeted Penny and Amelia - the oldest of the two already found a companion in Claudia, so there was no way he’d interrupt the two- and then turned to the others,”Tesoro.” he engulfs Beatrice in a hug, “Hello,Bea.”
“Hi,papa.”
“I see your mother already snagged Nicole to herself.”
“She did.” she laughs, leaning back, “You know she’s not going to let go.”
“Yes,I unfortunately do.” He steps away to greet his son in law, repeating the motion but clapping the younger man on the back, “Bradley.”
“Hi,Rafael.”
The Schiavoni patriarch held Rooster tight, the paternal feeling in that hug made Bradley smile against his father-in-law’s shoulder. He truly was part of the family now, “Ah, you, remember my uncle,right?’ he gestures towards Pete, “From the wedding.”
“I do! And from your birthday.” he smirks, stepping away from Brad to hold out his hand for Maverick to hold, “Pete,right?”
“Yeah.”
The height difference was almost hilarious, Rafael was just a few inches shorter than Rooster and several inches taller than Mav. But he shook his uncle’s hand, then the two talked for a bit, with Rafael’s deep laugh breaking the comfortable silence, “Good, good, don’t worry, you are all welcome here. Now,” he looks back at the door, seeing two little bodies rushing over, “Someone else wanted to say hi.”
“Auntie!Prince Rooster!”
Bianca was so much bigger. She was already eight years old, something neither of them could grasp, with Éwoyn being only one and a half and already matching her sister in speed. Bianca giggled, rushing over to Beatrice and launching herself on her legs. Beatrice had to admit that it was a bit harder to pick her up now, Bianca was already reaching her midriff- and she had to be extra careful because of the twins.“Oof!” but she did try, but chose to just hold her against her stomach, “You look so tall,Bibi!”
“I am tall!” she giggled, “Hi Prince Rooster!”
“Hi,Bibi.” he smirks, then looks down at Éwoyn, picking her up when she was close enough, “Hi,Éwoyn.”
“Hi!” she was obviously more vocal than Nicole, since she was already one year and a half, but it was still adorable to see her talk. Both girls had their blonde hairs pulled in pigtails, with Éwoyn’s being high on her head and her sister’s down on her nape. Bianca’s hair got so long it was already touching her upper back.
“Where’s Nikki?”
“With Nonna,” Beatrice points towards her mother and father, Nicole was peacefully resting on Claudia’s shoulder, eyes closed and little hands on her arm. Penny,Amelia and Pete followed the two outside while Bea and Rooster remained with the girls, “We should follow them.”
“Yeah!” Bianca smiled,”Auntie!Wait!Look what I can do.” the eight years old backed away from Beatrice, “Look!Look!” she pulled on her jeans a bit to keep them in place, then just turned onto a handstand, her legs dangling in the air, “Look!’
“Oh my god, that’s amazing Bibi!”
“Look!” and she starts to walk on her hands towards the kitchen.
Both Beatrice and Rooster watched with their eyes still on Bianca, Éwoyn wriggled to be put down and Rooster did so…and she followed her sister, trying to do the same but instead walking in all fours. He chuckles softly, then turns to Beatrice, “How bad do you think Leonardo is right now?”
‘Sleep wise?’
“Yep.”
“Awful.”
They shared a laugh as Beatrice hugged her torso, feeling nervous about going out on the patio where the rest of her family was. She chewed her lower lip, turning her green eyes towards Rooster and frowned, “...we’ll be okay.” she whispers, “I’m trying to repeat that,Roos but the anxiety has been…eating me alive almost.I feel it clawing inside of me.”
“Your anxiety sucks,gorgeous.” he whispered,kissing her forehead, keeping his lips there and rubbing her arms with his huge hands, “My girl,you are going to be okay.” she made a little noise, then hugged his middle, pressing her cheek to his chest so she could hear his heart, “Gorgeous, it’ll be okay.”
“I know,I’m trying to tell myself that,Roos.”
“I know.”
“Do you think they’ll figure something is up?”
He hums, “If we stay here for a while longer, yes.” he says, “You know how they can be…all of them, Mav included.”
Beatrice sighs but nods,looking back to where the kitchen was then at Rooster, both of them hearing her mother and Penny talking there, Nicole’s gentle babbling adding onto the conversation. “Okay.” she inhales shakily, “Let’s go.”
“I’m right behind you.” he’d be her shield, like always, he’d let her know he’s there if she wants to step back and breathe, she couldf lean on him without worries. They wander into the kitchen, Amelia is chewing on some almond cookies her mother made, clearly loving it - of course she’d toss those as a snack before the actual feast- with Penny and Claudia leaning on the counter, talking.
Nicole turned her head the second her parents walked into the room, “Aaa!Mama!” she giggles, wriggling and trying to reach them, the movement called her grandmother’s attention and she laughs, stepping away for a second to hand her over to Beatrice.
“There you go.” Nicole immediately hugs her mother’s neck, Rooster smirks as he holds out his finger for her to grab, even letting out a quiet ‘ow’ because of the sheer strength in that tiny hand, “She’s very vocal.”
“That she is.” Beatrice smiles, throwing a quick look towards the patio to check if everyone was there, of course they were, and then she swallowed quietly, “They all got here quick,” she noticed that Mav was now sitting next to her father, the two of them acting as if they’ve known each other for ages.
Beatrice inhales shakily, looking up at Rooster with her brows slightly furrowed. Her husband just smiles, leaning down to kiss her forehead and guiding her out towards the patio. She greeted everyone she hadn’t before, in fact she even saw Bianca still walking on her hands around the area with her mother asking her to stop before she got hurt.
She then met eyes with her aunt.
And she knew,she knew her aunt could notice something.
Because Martha stood to her feet, almost gliding over and held her shoulders, air kissing Beatrice then Bradley, before leaning down to meet Nicole’s eyes, ‘Hello my little star.” she smiles, scrunching her nose when Nicole touched her face, “You are one bright little comet yes you are.”
“Hi auntie.” Bea whispered, “You look good.”
“Thank you, you two do too.” Martha smiles, stepping closer so she could whisper something to them, “My gift will come before the two of you leave the house, I hope you both understand.” they didn’t, “It’s a personal one, I know you two will like it.”
Beatrice parted her lips to whisper a soft ‘thanks,zia’ and then looked over at Rooster. Her husband’s shifty glance only made Beatrice lick her lips and look around for a seat, “Oh…um, there’s an extra seat?”
“Didn’t you hear?’ Marina’s voice came from behind, “Michael got a girlfriend.”
“Wait,what?! Since when?”
“They started dating a few weeks ago, they met at a grocery store or something. He’s going to introduce her to us tonight.” Marina playfully elbows her sister’s arm, “Looks like your way of showing Bradley off inspired him.”
Well that was unexpected but not unwelcome.
They’d all be too busy asking Michael things to pay attention to her…and she felt bad that she’d use her brother as bait. She even told Rooster as such when they sat down, bringing Nicole closer to her face to hide her mouth. Rooster sputtered a laugh, “You are too cute.”
“I’m serious!” she whispers
“Baby, you won’t use him as bait.” he kept his mouth movements to a minimum, smiling up at Claudia when she offered him some water, “It’s not like you are using him for target practice.” Beatrice tilted her head at him, arching her brows with her lips pursed…”...well,maybe but he won’t be upset about it. Besides, aren’t you excited to meet his date?”
“Maybe? I’m just surprised he didn’t tell me about it.” she says, then sighs, “Sorry,I’m still talking about it.”
“Mhm.”
“You are not bothered?”
He licks his lips after taking a sip of his water, “I love the sound of your voice.” he smirks, leaning down to kiss her red cheeks, “So no,I’m not bothered.”
Beatrice could only laugh shyly over his response, holding Nicole close to her chest and inhaling deeply…yeah…all she had to do was act normal. That was all.

akljghf I really did X) okay let’s see how many times I can type “Dean” in a tumblr post.
the first character I ever fell in love with : Dean ! it helped that when i watch spn the first time it was in vo without subtitles, when my english was still pretty shaky, so many of his more, uh, unsavory comments flew right by me - but i would have loved him anyway.
a character I used to love/like but now do not : idk... the only one can think of is girl-of-the-week Sarah from the episode Provenance. I used to like that she was really involved in the case and rather efficient and brave despite being totally out of her element, but rewatching that episode I got the feeling that she was allowed to be all those things in part because she’s richer/more educated/classier than most characters and it rubbed me the wrong way. And she was extremely gracious about it, which annoyed me more. That is a LOT of words for a little side character I don’t feel strongly about, but this episode has some weird class vibes (more than usual), so. there you go ?
a ship that I used to love/like but now I don’t : well... Sam/Sarah i guess ? Also I was pretty into Anna/Ruby and now I’m not but once I get back to season 4 I will probably be into it again so I’m not sure that counts.
my ultimate favorite character ™ : Dean. It’s weird because I had almost forgotten how much I loved him and suddendly it all came back and I don’t know what to do with those feelings !
prettiest character : it’s a tie between very early season 1 Dean and Ruby 2.0. No actually Ruby 2.0 could stab me with the demon knife and I’be like. thank you ma’am I was not worthy so. she wins.
my most hated character : you know who :) it’s john :) (but also Zachariah was very fun to hate)
my OTP : Destiel obviously.
my NOTP : I get wanting to explore dark dynamics, especially given the nature of the show, but wincest is really not for me.
favourite episode : ugh. I can’t chose. I can’t even chose my favourite episode per season ! I’ll say The Man Who Would be King but I feel like I’m betraying so many others :((
saddest death : Sam’s first death. It’s super bleak, and sends the brothers careening into this cycle of self-sacrifices, and Dean monologuing to Sam’s body gets me every time. (Dean’s last death should have been the saddest, but it was sad in a way that made me think “yeah I was right not to bother”, so it doesn’t deserves the title).
favorite season : season 2-3 feels kinda like one season to me, though if i have to chose i will chose season 2. Of course the fact that it doesn’t have Cas is a bummer but even just knowing that he’ll be along later makes it better so :D
least favorite season : season 8. it was just so obvious that Carver hadn’t even bothered to watch season 6 and 7, and the conflict between Sam and Dean felt so boring, and the Amelia sublot was so boring, and the whole Dean remember purgatory wrong felt both super predictable and out of left field. It burned me out so much that I couldn’t really get into season 9 and gave up. But it gave us scruffy Cas and Benny, so there’s that.
character that everyone else in the fandom loves, but I hate : the fandom is so big and rarely agrees on anything anyway, I have no idea how I would answer that. Jess I guess ? I don’t even hate her, but she’s barely a character at all.
my “you’re a piece of trash but you’re still a fave” fave : Dean, I guess ? I wouldn’t call him a piece of trash but he has a lot to answer for. Like. A LOT. (though he’s also perfect in every way).
my “beautifull cinamon roll who deserves better than this” fave : so many, but Anna, Charlie and Kevin are kings and queens among them... also I wouldn’t call them cinamon rolls but Victor Henriksen and Bella Talbot deserved so much more screentime. And of course Sam, Dean and Cas (I haven’t met Jack yet) deserved a better ending, but... well.
my “this ship is wrong, nasty and makes me want to cleanse my soul but I still love it” ship : Alastair/Dean. Yeah, I know.
my “they’re kinda cute, and I lowkey ship them, but I’m not too invested” ship : Dean/Ash, Bobby/Rufus... also Sam/Ruby but I don’t think “cute” is the word.

i...might be a little addicted to your writing. especially aos and tammy thompson...i’m too shy to go off anon for now, but i’m thinking abt making some doodles abt aos
so i have some questions
1. what kind of glasses does amelia have—?
like what shape..
and out of curiosity, are they prescription? if so, why she got em?? (like, reading glasses or is she far/nearsighted—)
2. how tall is she?? particularly in comparison to eric..
3. and, like, idk, body shape? like, is she a slim bean? or like, curvy? chubby?
4. this might be weird cuz her hair is always in a bun (as far as i can tell—unless eric is involved) and idk how to word this but what hair...type..?
like, curly/straight/frizzy??
how long is it when it is down?
5. does she have any sort of other identifiers?
like moles or freckles or scars, maybe? birth marks? stretch marks?? i’d ask abt tattoos but pretty much all her thoughts and interactions w/ dauntless have answered that for me
6. bear with me here, but, ik she wears blue and dresses formal-like but exactly what’s that mean to her?
like, does she wear pants?? or just skirts? heels?? dOes sHe wEar a bOw tiE— i have no concept of formal wear since i always work from home and rarely interact with people, even outside of pandemics✋😔
what abt casual wear??...does she even have any? does she have pajamas?? does she ever even use them—?
stray thought: eric stealing her laundry..eric stealing her clothes and bringing them to his place..eric replacing them with his clothes...eric being a creep with her panties— (i’m so sorry)
7. this is totally unrelated to appearance, but...has amelia even had sexy timez with anyone other than eric?? consistently?? does eric kNow—and is that person still alive if he does
sorry for bothering you!! feel free to take ur time to answer, or just not answer at all. or answer in bits and pieces. idk. this isn’t mandatory for me to be able to draw her (although it’d help w accuracy) and there’s probably a bunch of stuff that you already wrote in the book—i’m just bad at picking out details, especially since i’ve been off my meds whoops

I don’t mind if you’re shy and I absolutely love art (especially of my characters. that is so sweet).
I promise I’m not scary despite what I write, lol. You’re welcome to message me anytime.
I just saw this now (tumblr notifications are terrible with me), so let me answer your questions:
1) Glasses. I see them as rectangular shaped, not very large but also not tiny. She wears glasses because everyone in Erudite wears glasses lol, but they’re most likely blue light glasses considering how often she’s looking at screens.
2) How tall is she? About average height. She wears low heels or flats (flat if she’s going to Dauntless). Compared to Eric, she’s tall enough that when she’s resting against him (as they stand together) her forehead can rest on his upper chest. I hope that helps.
3) Body shape. I imagine Amelia fairly slim, like some curves but not many, simply because the girl is running around everywhere. The stress of her life and being afraid to be found out limits keeps a lot of weight from actually sticking (add in her missing meals lately...). She also has to keep up appearances as Jeanine’s assistant (like I said, lot of stress).
4) No weird questions, don’t worry. It is always in a bun. I never considered length aside from long enough to put in a bun lol. I imagine it’s about shoulder blade/mid-back length. Unlike Tammy or my latest OC I’m working on, her hair is pretty straight, though probably a little wavy simply from the bun.
5. Any other identifiers? I don’t think so. Definitely no tattoos but this version...probably small scars on her hands from paper cuts and early experiments she did as a kid with her father. Faint though. In another version of her, she’ll have a scar on her arm, but not in AoS. I didn’t think about birthmarks...maybe I should? (she doesn’t get enough sun to freckle lol)
6. Clothing! Great question. She’s often found in business formal wear. Suits (usually with a skirt, sometimes pants), pressed shirts and occasionally a dress. As before, she wears low heels or flats now because of walking around a lot after Jeanine and going to Dauntless. omg bow ties! That’s amazing and I love it. I totally understand the issue of visualizing it (I work from home too rn).
Casual wear I see as more pants and less formal shirts, though still nice because she represents Jeanine and everyone knows her. But does she have pyjamas? Yeah. On her own, she has like an actual set. Stuck in Dauntless with Eric, he prefers she wears nothing, but she’ll wear his shirt.
Stray thought: Eric definitely has stolen things from her apartment. We know he’s added books, he steals a picture. Clothes...well exactly what he’s done will be discovered later in different circumstances.
7. Amelia has had sex before. Does Eric know exactly who it is? No, (which is the only reason they survive lol). Eric chooses to ignore this. It doesn’t matter who was before because it’s only going to be him now.
You are definitely not bothering me. I love people asking questions. It helps inspire me to write lol. I don’t mind you asking. Some of it (like the scars) are things I haven’t really thought about so it’s great because now I have! :D

Yes, my Great Aunt Amelia. I know my tumblr says I go by Mia, but Amelia is my actual full name. Mia is just shorter and easier sometimes (Thank you to The Princess Diaries)
2. When was the last time you cried?
I think it was at the ending of NBC’s “The Good Place”. Or basically when anything I’m watching gets even a little bit sad.
3. Do you have kids?
No, not yet.
4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

5. What’s the first thing you notice about people?
Usually their eyes or their smile. I find the way someone carries themselves (their mannerisms and such) tells a lot about them, too.

Light green, they look almost blue sometimes.

Hmm... not particularly? Idk, I guess one thing is I’m a pretty quick learner so it’s usually easy for me to figure out how to do something new. I’m pretty determined too, if I don’t get it right the first time I’ll try until I do!

Questions like this make me wonder if I actually DO have any hobbies! With my free time I mainly play sims and spend time with my boyfriend and our pup. I usually end up playing video games when I go to his house too, either sims or something on his Xbox. We also do regular boring people things: go out to eat, watch tv/movies, go to the park with the pup, things like that. I’m not sure but do those count as hobbies?
11. Do you have any pets?
YES. I'm co-raising a German Shepherd named Zoey with my boyfriend, she’s a little less than a year old. I also have 2 Persian cats named Ollie and Phineas and often help my mom with her dog, a crazy bananas Australian Shepherd named Puck.
12. What sports do you play/have you played?
Lol, pshhh sports. I’ve played almost everything you can think of but hated every minute of it except for high school track. My mom wanted me to “try different things” when I was growing up. But now that I’m grown I don’t do any sports related things whatsoever.

14. Favorite Subjects in School?
I was always really good at English, writing papers and such comes naturally to me. I used to correct my classmates’ papers to earn extra money in college ;)
15. Dream Job?
I think it would be really cool to be a Marine Biologist. I love watching nature documentaries and have seen pretty much all the ones on Netflix. But, life is leading me towards either Real Estate or being partnered with my brother in our own company.

Jackson and Maggie: As some of you may know I'm a big Japril shipper but that doesn't mean I hate Jaggie. I love Jackson and I want him to be happy and honestly I always liked Maggie before he was involved with Jackson so I think she's a great choice. Now about them in this episode in particular. I liked their argument honestly. Neither of them were wrong. They both come from very different backgrounds and have very different personalities which most of the time works great for them cause they compliment each other but this episode was not the case. I guess that as a couple they wanna find common interests but I feel like Jackson was trying to force it into Maggie and she felt pressured to like it. Also it is true that she's not the most adventurous person ever but that doesn't seem to bother her at all so I don't see the problem tbh. I liked what Maggie said that Jackson loves her but he doesn't like her cause I think that's 100% true for her about him too. The love each other and since they've met at the hospital they've always bonded over that but I feel like aside from medicine they don't share a lot so Idk if the relationship will survive, we'll see. Also if something happened to Jackson they may forget about the argument for a while until he gets better.
Teddy's labor: I knew that was going to happen cause she's been pregnant all season and it was obvious that she was gonna have the baby this episode. I'm honestly glad Shonda didn't try to pull some bs and that Teddy got to the hospital safe and with little trouble. I liked the bonding she did with Amelia and I'm glad Amelia decided to step aside and find her own happiness cause she deserves it and I think Link might be good for her. I am glad Owen finaly decided what he wanted and I hope he won't change his mind tho I don't think he will and honestly it reminds me of a scene Amelia and Owen had a while ago when she said that Teddy was his tumor (as a metaphor for her being always in the middle of his romantic relationships) cause it's so true. I think Teddy and Owen are endgame. I don't really like Owen so I don't care much who he ends up with honestly. His personal life annoys me a lot of the time even though he is a great doctor. I feel SO BAD for Tom!! He was putting his best effort to be the best man he could possibly be for Teddy and the baby and you could tell that he really cared so I don't think what Teddy did was fair to him at all. I mean if she knew she had feelings for Owen she should have been honest about it with him.
Jo: I'm glad Meredith helped Jo tell Alex and Bailey the truth and sick the help that she needed and also I think it'll be a cool storyline for next season. Honestly I really like Jo and the fact that he's struggling so much breaks my heart but I'm glad she got help on time and she didn't manage to push everyone away. On another note, POOR MY BABY ALEX! Seriously every woman he's been with since the show started had something tragic or awful happened to her! EVERY. SINGLE. ONE!
Everyone fired: I honestly can't believe three of the best surgeons on the show (not to mention the only characters besides Bailey that are her since season 1) have been fired! I mean I know they're gonna fix it and they won't stay fired for long but still it'll be an interesting plot for season 16
DeLuca in jail: I'm kinda meh about the whole situation tbh. Neither DeLuca nor Meredith are among my favorite characters and I think enough seasons have past for it to be ok that she's moving on. I think DeLuca taking the blame was stupid at best cause he isn't even a US citizen so he could get deported not to mention get his license revoked and go to prison (which he is already in) but also I get that Meredith is a single mom and has three kids so I understand his reasoning but I still think it was stupid.
Levi and Nico: I love this couple and I honestly think they deserve more screen time! I love Levi and hir dorky personality and I think it goes really well with Nico's. Levi is just so kind and caring and he just wants to help everyone but I'm glad he standed up for himself and told Nico to treat him better. The scene with the mom was cute but also a bit odd like the mom didn't even know he was gay or that he had a bf and he just casually introduced him to her so I understand the mom's reaction of shock cause it was a lot to process in like 3 seconds. I hope Nico gets better and I REALLY hope that they get more screen time.
That's my opinion! I honestly don't know what I'm doing. I'm kinda new to Tumblr and everything but I watch a lot of shows so I decided to start commenting my thoughts after each episode idk. We'll see how it goes.

I don't follow you i just saw the post about bryan and A being the main actors, and yea I agree they are the face, But (This may sound rude I'm really sorry I dont it) It's no ones fault, all the main characters are important and the other two were very much erased but how is that anyones fault, if the fans prefer Connor they aren't to blame. While I agree with the other two being ignored almost completely, I don't get how one could blame race for this people just people prefer his story and him
(2) You're opinion is mostly completely fatal and of course valid as hell and I do apologize if it sounded like I'm invalidating your point, Jesse and Valorie deserve so much more attention, but a lot of people just didn't enjoy their character and story as much as Bryan's???? hello, friend! you make some good points and i am always open to hearing what others have to say. what mainly happens is that the gaming industry tries to market itself to gamers in a certain demographic. the demographic? white male gamers. not white female gamers, not gamers of color, it’s always in the white male perspective. however, in DBH’s case, the fan favorite among gamers was markus. on tumblr and twitter? it was connor. now why is that? it’s that internalized bias we carry within ourselves. you know why connor’s story was a little bit more compelling and memorable? because his story was written by a whyte man. if a writer of color would’ve written markus’ storyline and a writer who is a woman would’ve written kara’s storyline, i bet you 100% that their stories would’ve made a much bigger impact and would’ve been more emotionally driven. but you do have to notice that whenever there’s a show or a film, so MANY people flock to the nearest white actor and start giving them their undivided attention and love. take “to all the boys i’ve loved before” for example. noah centineo was crowned white boy of the month while everyone completely ignored lana condor, a woman of color and the main protagonist of her own film. isn’t that a little unfair? and it’s a pattern that keeps repeating over and over again and it’s TIRESOME.
if you like connor, sweet, i love connor myself! i take no offense to the critical take because i ultimately learn the other side. now ask yourself why was connor’s route more interesting? was it the deviant hunting? was it the father/son relationship between hank? was it that position of power? d/avid c/age doesn’t know how to write for a person of color, and he doesn’t know how to write for a woman. c/age is known for his cop schtick that’s seen in heavy rain and the like. it’s what he’s comfortable with so OF COURSE connor’s cop route is going to be more “interesting”. is it bryan’s fault for this? yes and no. it’s beyond his control about the script but i love how he added a lot of personal touches with his improv because that man is a great actor. but...he has taken advantage of that recognition that the fans have ultimately given to him. I KNOW HIS HEART IS GOLD AND I KNOW HE IS GENUINE! but much like noah centineo, he uses what is given to him. wouldn’t you? wouldn’t any of us? hell yeah. if you’ve always been in indie films and now this is your big break, of course you’re gonna run with it! who wouldn’t?
TL; DR: connor’s route is more interesting because it’s the same ole shit you’ve seen in previous c/age games and you’ve fallen into that trap. bryan and ultimately amelia piggyback off the wave of support of those fans who have fallen into said sunken place. instead of giving credit where credit is due, the community has ultimately erased jesse and valorie from the narrative in an effort to only claim connor as the “only good character in dbh”. i am at fault, you are at fault, bryan is at fault, but ultimately....da/vid c/age is the true perpetrator for not allowing people of color and women of color into his space to help create the game.

1. if they had a tumblr, what would they post about?
Sam: hmm i think probably some blog like. Mostly trans positivity posts with scattered posts abt how much she loves her gf
Amelia: considering her popularity status she’d run some blog like. U kno the blogs tumblr celebrities run i guess? So like. Reblogging a few general funny posts and answering select asks while getting like 200 every day.
2. what’s their favourite colour?
Sam: she likes blue :o like. Light blues. Also she keeps her hair dyed light blue as well
Amelia: purple. Honestly idk much more i can say about this.
3. What makes them laugh?
Sam: shitty puns and memes, mostly. The type of person who laughs out loud when u just say ‘egg’. She’s probably still into ‘xD tacos’ random humour.
Amelia: the polar opposite of sam in this regard. Laughs at intellectual humor. Like. rich fancy people. I know it exists but i cant think of any specific examples. Politely laughs at things people say are funny but she does not find them actually funny.
4. If they had one day left to live, how would they spend it?
Sam: “lmao dw i’ll probably just go to hell anyway” wait no context is important. She’s like. Actually how do i make this not sound bad rip. Uh. basically she is a business partner of lucifer who is actually p chill but that’s another story
Anyway that means like. If she dies she’ll probably just come back as a ghost or a higher tier demon.

Amelia: panicking and trying to find a way to not die. She had things she wants to do and a public record to maintain and jeez i just realised how much ames has changed compared the the first universe she was in. i mean YEAH completely different life experiences but rip
5. Do they have any annoying habits?
-this is really subjective bc of what different people consider annoying but
Sam: people say she laughs too much. That is not her annoying habit is, her annoying habit is tellling lucifer when people say that so lucifer can like. Ban them from reincarnation or put a curse on them or something like that. Also sometimes when she cant be bothered to go that extra step she might go into the past and become that person’s grandmother.
...that second one isnt really an annoying habit to most people but to the one guy who has to help keep control of time, it is a very annoying habit and what makes up like half of his job doings.
Amelia: sometimes goes very over the top with things. One time she stole a magic book by becoming a security guard at the place where it was kept and then took the book and ran. So like, instead of doing things illegally, she did it also illegally and got a month’s pay from it as well.

6. What’s their favourite movie genre?
I s2fg i have mentioned this sometime in one of the long texts i have written involving these characters but i cant remember so
Sam: tbh probably more realistic/contemporary stuff, rom-coms, slice of life, coming of age etc. Like. her life is a science fiction/fantasy movie she’s a time traveler working with the dark lord lucifer ffs. Also she’d probably get annoyed on tiny details while watching historical stuff like
“That never happened”
“Sam it’s fiction, it’s a movie, how would they have known that”
“Well maybe they didn’t know it but it’s still fucking annoying”
Amelia: probably similar to sam, her life is fuckin busy and always people and she’s famous so like. Escape from her life is to indulge in the normal things.
Just as a side note this does take place in a modern-ish fantasy world so idk what fantasy movies would be considered there but. They exist. I’ll work this out sooner or later
Also bonus character bc its fucking funny - Zeph: zephyr likes horror movies. She also likes to watch horror movies with her brother. Her brother does not share her same passion for horror movies. He has a certain threshold before he has to flee the room and cuddle someone. This is mostly why zeph likes horror movies. She is pretty picky with what she considers ‘good’ and spends most of her time making fun of horror movies.
And, like the rest of us, secretly freaks out when she is alone at night and hears a sound outside. But for significantly less long because she knows exactly how to make fun of it.
7. What are their religious beliefs?
Alright i might not (read: will not currently) answer this bc i’m still working out how to handle religion in this, bc basically there is historical evidence for how the world was created. But obviously that’s not the only component to religion?
Another point would be that actually i still havent got around to creating any religions yet.i still gotta get around to getting down a more detailed history of the world first but i am planning it
8. What’s their current job (if they have one)?
Yes BITCH i have been WAITIGN for a question like this
Sam: basically she made a deal with lucifer and runs many errands for them. But also they helped her a LOT when they helped her escape a shitty transphobic environment and also the two became best friends? So i mean she doesn’t get paid but that takes up a lot of her time
Also she, at one stage, becomes part of this thing called the council which i haven’t quite worked out how they work in this universe yet. Theyre a bunch of strong magic people who work in coordination with the Champion (more on this below) to put down rules about magic. Theyre a reused concept from this story i made when i was like. 10. So the idea does need some reworking.
Amelia: amelia is the champion, which is basically the title given to the person who wins at a big magic competition. Its a p big job, lots of publicity and pr and often regretted by the people who do end up getting there
(like? This one guy? He was kinda like “oh yeah sounds fun” and then he fucking won and he was like “lmao i’ll lose next year” and then he kept the position for 7 years and after that got so fucking sick of it he faked his assassination and became a reclusive mysterious millionaire)
Anyway she enjoys it for the first while until there is a real threat of her being assassinated unlike the aforementioned dude
But she enjoys being around people to an extent, and like. She enjoys making people happy, so
9. How do they react to confrontation?
Sam: similar way to what i described before. Like. jsut the little things. Cursing them with the help of lucifer, becoming their grandmother, you know. The usual ways people deal with confrontation.

Back in June I knocked into a stationary vehicle in a car park. I waited for the guy to come back and apologised straight away. (when its your fault in life own up) He was initially annoyed (fair enough) but went on to tell me that someone else had knocked into his car recently and caused 600 worth of damage (the other driver had sped off and hed already had a quote for the work). I cant remember the exact wording of the next bit - but it was understood that I would pay whatever it cost on top of that to fix the area (bumper / side corner area) We exchanged details. I told my insurance company what had happened and the previous damage. There were also photos taken at the time that I forwarded on (not sure if they were actually any help) Next I hear his insurance company has approached mine with a bill for 700. The total amount for fixing his car. I brought up the matter of the previous damage - couple of conversations between insurance companies - his asking him directly if there was any previous damage and him saying no. I told my insurance company that there was a friend with me (we were walking our dogs in the park) who had heard the whole conversation - in fact she was the one that took the pictures. She is a responsible, respectable person who was happy to make a statement. I was told by the insurance company that as it was someone who knew me - they couldnt be seen as an impartial person and they ended up paying the whole amount to his insurance company. I have just received my new insurance quote. Last year it was 437 and now that I have lost my 3 years no claims bonus (I have been driving for much longer but have only owned a small van for 3 years (practicality for my dogs muddy feet) and insurance starts again for vans) but I also have this 700 fault against my name this year. My insurance quote is now 960. Is there anything I can do. Does anyone have advice for any further action I can take?
