OH MY GOD??? MOJANG YOU INTRICATE DEDICATED SON OF A BITCH. THE WARPED WOOD IS FUCKING REAL. ITS BASED OFF A REAL THING! (Unless it's not, and I'm just giving Mojang all my credit) BUT ALLOW ME TO EXPLAIN:
So as your typical fungus loving autistic, I was looking at pictures of them. And I came across one I've not seen before-

Nine of pentacles, 7 of cups in today's daily draw
The reflective rider waite (L)
The mushroom hunter's tarot by Joe Buckley (R) : Green elfcup/Blue stain fungus
Today's reading is all about discernment and the search for purpose and fulfillment, and a wee bit about self sufficiency being an illusion. We are none of us self-made, we all depend upon each other to shape the world we share using our wisdom and discernment. I will look for opportunities to embrace my many purposes here and my discernment to choose carefully among them for one to give my at(in)tention to.

Chlorociboria aeruginascens (and the macroscopically identical species Chlorociboria aeruginosa) is a fungus commonly known as the "green elfcup", or "green wood cup", due to its characteristic small, blue-green saucer shaped fruit bodies. They are often found on bark-free dead wood, particularly oak, beech, ash and hazel all year round. Their fruit bodies, however, are seen much more infrequently than the turquoise staining of wood caused by said fungus, also called "spalting". Spalted wood also comes in many other varieties. It is prized by fine woodworkers and has been used since the 14th century in wood inlays. A great example of this is Tunbridge ware wooden box covers, decorated with colorful designs made from pieces of different colored woods, many of which were spalted. Pigmentation of the infected wood occurs when fungi produce extracellular pigments, in this case Xylindein, inside of its fibers. However, in some spalting fungi, pigments are generally bound within the hyphae cell walls. A visible color change can be seen if enough hyphae are concentrated in an area.

c. aeruginosa description :
"this species has apothecia (cup-shaped ascocarps) that are usually attached laterally, often less than 0.5 cm in diameter, reaching 0.5-1 cm, collapsing laterally & becoming rolled inwards when dry. the outer tissue layer of the apothecium is bright green & smooth on the top, & felty and pale blue-green on the underside & stipe, darkening with age. the stipe is typically short, with a central or eccentric attachment to the apothecia. spores are roughly spindle-shaped (fusiform), smooth, 9-14 x 2-4 µm. spore print is white."

"THANKS FOR THiS REQUEST, COWTOOL !! these are some of my absolute favourite fungi. they actually occur in my country, too. ^^ i am on a mission to find 'em. oh, btw, the stain occurs due to a pigment in the mycelium : xylindein. this stained wood is often used to make art !!"

Five top (or obscure) facts about Mallow? And, what are your general thoughts about Faerie Mechanics?
firstly Mallow is my dnd character for this small in-person campaign i’m doin at school, she is a minotaur and a circle of spores druid
other facts:
she was born and raised in an underground labyrinth, in a minotaur druid commune, theyre all really big on mushrooms there
she left the commune to look for exotic mushrooms, a man named Barry whom she met on the road told her she could find them in Waterdeep so that’s how she wound up meeting the party
I imagine that the minotaur part of her is highland cattle-esque, shes fluffy and soft and has very large brown eyes
her favorite thing that she owns is the mushroom plush toy she bought in Waterdeep
she likes taking care of people, and likes people who care about plants and fungi
oh gosh i love faerie mechanics the basis of most of my faerie lore assumes that faerie are essentially nexuses of energy from the land Faerie that converge upon a point because of a Name; the Name is what separates the faerie from the land itself. faerie have no distinct physical forms, although some forms may become associated with Names and tied to them. they have no concept of gender.  it is very hard for a faerie to get rid of a Name once it is a part of their self. corporeal beings have a much easier time shedding Names.
the energy part and the Names part for now make up most of the mechanics, I have to figure out how transport from here to faerie works, and the effect it has on corporeal beings
also important is the metaphysical potential energy of relatively stable matter; given that faeries are energy they dont have any matter. our stable physical forms build up a big charge of metaphysical potential energy from staying in the same place; faerie can feed off of that energy in various ways, sometimes through emotional discharge or through a physical link (see monsters inc and coraline)
