This may sound rude, but why do you dress so formally? I like the style but it’s rather unusable considering how people usually dress. I like it though, it’s nice. That’s all.
"Oh... I was aiming for a business-casual look, since that's the accepted dress code for most of the places I work at, but perhaps I'm leaning too strongly towards the 'business' side."

so i did just go outside and it is mad slick. i was like whatever i've got shoes and so forth. then the wind picked up and i could hear all the ice-covered branches clacking ominously against each other and decided i should get the hell out of dodge. have you ever tried powerwalking when the sidewalks are sheets of ice? i wouldn't recommend it.

Hey, so i really love this story, but i got a few questions regarding the Customization options of the snake and bear species?
Why is the bear special skincolor 'pinkish' when most brears have a dark skin tone under their fur?
And wouldn't it also make sense to give the snakes the options of a brown or green or dark green skin tone, cause a good amount of snakes in reallife do have this color sheme going for them.
But this is just a honest question, and i could also be wrong with a few things i said there, and i also want you to know that this is no hate in any form cause i really really like this whole story and the different options of creatures we can be as a demon...anyways much love <3
ah, well the simple answer is that the special skin colours and the special animal forms aren't actually intended to really be linked in any way. i did a pretty in-depth explanation of the visual cc elements in this post, but i'll attempt to clarify here anyway: they're more like different symptoms of the sin aspect that the player ends up picking rather than intended to be associated - because you can still choose the special skin colour conferred by the sin, while choosing a different animal form more loosely associated with any other sin as well (or the special animal form conferred by the sin and a normal human skin colour).
this is mostly just because if i did try to match colour schemes with animals... most of them would just be brown lmfao. most animals irl are not super gaudy, but i wanted to give that tiefling kind of feel of bright primary colour skintones if people were interested in that. it does mean that there are colour options you can put together that are pretty weird, like green-skinned lions, but i wrote in a few sentences mentioning how ridiculous those kinds of combos are and decided to let the players go ham anyway XD if people want to play a green-skinned lion or a bright golden raccoon or a pink scorpion then who am i to stop them?
i think gold-skinned peacock is the duo i've seen chosen most often in combination so far haha (and i heartily approve!) i hope this makes sense and helps answer your questions!

Hello! I apologize if this is a nosy question, but what is the silly feelings wheel app you were talking about in a previous post? My therapist and I have been working on identifying feelings but I still very much rely on a list of feeling words to have any idea what I’m feeling, so it could be a helpful resource. No worries if you don’t want to share, just thought I would ask :)
It's called How We Feel! I'm not sure if it's available on all devices yet, but it's on ios and the google play store for sure.
I've been using it for about a year. It's more of a chart than a wheel but people usually recognize the wheel better so that's what I call it. When you first start it has a 10-part tutorial about emotional acceptance and regulation, then it has suggestions for each category of emotion. You can access both at any time tho after those first 10 days.
It has a share option so you can have friends, which has been great for me cause it prompts me to check on friends and them to do the same for me. It allows you to just respond with a little emoji in like a "I'm here for you" little notification to your friend, or you can reach out to your friend on your own. Its really helped me cause I'm bad at reaching out when I need support so to me and I'm bad about taking on other's problems even when I can't handle it so being able to send a little emoji instead to make sure my friends know I'm there if they need me and them doing the same has been great

if youre still doin the souls bingo,, what about lady maria?
Ohh Mariaaaaa! (Happily anon!)
I feel like I project onto Maria so much that it’s borderline embarrassing, haha. I’m quieter about her, because the fandom is very protective and guarded about this character in so many ways. She’s the people’s princess and I totally get it, believe me.
That’s why I prefer to just shut up and write her. She comes so naturally to the page. I feel like we’re old friends lmao.
But man, just the simple notion of her tragedy being one of extreme guilt that played into deep, unspoken fears…passionate anger and defiance, this sort of desperation to preserve her dignity at all costs while simultaneously trying to atone for everything she’s done…it starts to get really, really complicated. I can’t even explain it.
She’s the type to try so hard to make things right with someone, but her avoidance of a hidden flaw that she may not even be aware of is so detrimental to the point where it ends up hurting the other person even more.
They see it, but she doesn’t. She can’t. She has to be better than that. She can’t fail, she can’t let others down. She knows she sinned, but she wants to bury those sins in the past and just fix the present. PEAK FIRSTBORN DAUGHTER BEHAVIOR.
Aaaaand that’s where I start projecting a little too much.
She’s just a walking fracture, a portrait of psychological duality. She’s light and dark. She wants to do good, she believes in only doing good, but she sometimes messes that up and is too afraid to completely admit it, even if she tries to fix it. The notion of hurting others terrifies her beyond all belief. The notion of failing them…she can’t stand it.
So, she looks away and hides. Lives in denial.
I also think I was way too inspired by “Crime and Punishment” and “Anna Karenina” when I started trying to “figure out” Maria. Russian lit characters are just the epitome of tragic guilt and dualistic psychology. Even Anna Karenina’s famous suicide after being unable to process her sins and the judging eyes of her people is very Maria-esque. Walking complexes, the lot of em.

Top 5 BLs (besides Vice Versa cause we know that’s your #1)? Top 5 movies of all time?
NOT THE BLATANT VICE VERSA CALL-OUT SKFJGDSKFGSDGFKJ but you know. fair enough ;;;;;; so here we go!!!!!
TOP 5 BLs (besides vice versa)
1. moonlight chicken. i feel like the show suffered a little from the two episodes per week release and all the disputes in the fandom, but by god do i personally adore this series and feel wildly protective of it. the story is packed with so many different topics – including disabilities, LGBTQ+ experiences, socioeconomic status, family, grief – that it would have been so easy to make a mess of it all, but somehow they were able to woven all these themes within the narrative in the most coherent and natural way possible. every single relationship is so deeply compelling to me and the deeply romantic atmosphere exuding from the show is almost intoxicating. very unpopular opinion but to me this is p’aof’s best work to date.
2. a tale of 1000 stars. this is a spectacular series, a fairytale-like story that delivers emotionally powerful messages about growth, community, second chances, and personal redemption. the pace does lag a little towards the end, but even the misunderstandings and the temporary separation between phupha and tian are actually functional to the story and ring true to their characters rather than feeling like an excuse to add some drama, which i always appreciate.
3. history 3: trapped. this is not a perfect show and im aware of it: the plot has many shortcomings, and i personally find that the narrative tone in taiwanese BLs sometimes clashes with the overall atmosphere of the story. the ending, too, may not be satisfactory for most people, but it feels authentic to me. i honestly adore this show with all my heart, and the relationship between tang yi and shao fei is one of the healthiest i've ever seen.
4. old fashion cupcake. beneath the seemingly casual premise and despite the short runtime, this show is an incredibly insightful story that examines societal norms about age and gender and that defies conventions. it’s the perfect fusion of witty humour, quirky romance, gentle drama, and tender emotions, reminding us that we’re never too old to love, to dream, to experience the world. i love love love it.
5. triage. as i mentioned before, this show isn’t for everyone, but it is for me specifically. it’s an extraordinary and exhilarating journey packed with action and suspense and clever twists, so much so that i can even overlook the ending being a little too chaotic. tol’s character development is honestly one of the best ever written, and even if the romance isn’t as strong as someone may wish, i twill always be one of my favorites.
TOP 5 MOVIES OF ALL TIME
MIND HAS GONE COMPLETELY BLANK ONCE AGAIN I’VE FORGOTTEN ALL THE MOVIES I’VE EVER WATCHED. it’s also hard to find the right balance between objectivity and personal preference in this case, so im just gonna put down the first few ones that come to my mind for different genres (in no particular order and with no explanation because if i actually stop and think about it im never gonna make up my mind)
in the mood for love.
vertigo.
the apartment.
alien.
fargo.
(not convinced about these at all but whatever. except for 'in the mood for love', that movie changed the trajectory of my life)

Not me using the wayback machine to try to find your old panic fics (yikesssss for that fandom) 💀
In all seriousness though, much respect to you for taking charge over YOUR work. People can be so gross sometimes. Like why plagiarize when you can just leave a nice comment for the author saying you love their work??
pretty crazy how this ask is acknowledging that it's my work and my decision and I should be able to take ownership of it while simultaneously saying that you went actively against those wishes to try and use other means to find said work after I took it down.
it's almost like you're saying "not me being disrespectful lmao! sorry abt everyone else who is also disrespectful!! they suck."
Pot meet kettle.

wanted to join in on the queer movie recommendation fun times because i love queer movies so here are a few that i loved that i dont THINK anyone has mentioned yet
the way he looks - about a blind teen boy (leonardo) who has an overbearing mum and wants more independence so he’s planning to go on an exchange programme abroad to escape his mum for a bit. a new boy moves into town and makes leonardo question his plans to study abroad. it’s super cute and was originally a short film if you don’t have the time for a full movie.
portrait of a lady on fire - one of many sad period piece lesbian movies. so genuinely beautiful though. about a painter who is tasked with secretly painting a woman who doesn’t want her portrait painted. spoiler alert she ends up doing a lot more than just painting her.
do revenge - idk if this counts because the story isn’t centred around queer love, but maya hawke (one of the main characters) plays a lesbian so i’m recommending it. it is the teeniest dramaiest movie i’ve seen in a while and it is genuinely funny and shocking. it’s about two girls at a private school who do each other’s revenge plans because it would be too obviously incriminating to do their own revenges.
boy erased - much sadder movie, based on a memoir about a man’s experience with conversion therapy after being outed to his (very christian) parents at 19. MAJOR TRIGGER WARNING for on screen sexual assault though, and other triggering themes that come with the conversion therapy topic, so proceed with caution.
okay i will stop now hope you enjoy these 😎
Hop aboard!! We are delighted to have your expertise!!!

throwing a fit like a toddler bc you don't like an entirely optional aspect of a piece of media that hasn't even come out yet is…. a choice lol. anyway the poly routes sound like fun and I'm pumped about immigrant parents. I was fine with just hc’ing it but this absolutely slaps. also, happy new year xx
like, the most generous I can be to this person is that my use of the word "inevitable" in that first post about it came off as me saying they are mandatory or required or something but like... idk.
critical thinking? requesting clarification? simply rolling your eyes and moving on? none of those were an option for them?
