Wait why are we freaking out as if Crowley and Aziraphale are going to be apart for a long time just bc Azi is the archangel? Like look back on season 1 yall. Look at what we learned in season 2. Gabriel was down on earth like every other day, just doing fuck all.
My man (gender neutral) was just hanging around pestering his Earth agent and making heart eyes at Beelzy on the regular. He had a tailor that he went to often for his clothes. He had a (granted, very rough) idea of how ordering food at a bar worked, about how people talk to shopkeepers. The dude knew about porn for gods sake. Like yeah, he was a dumbass about all of it, but he clearly was around often enough to at least get some concepts down.
Anyways my point is that if the angel's couldn't keep Gabriel in his damn enclosure long enough to keep him from buying Gucci and soliciting with the love of his life, then how in Gaiman's name do we think for a single second that they're gonna be able to stop A.Z 'Gone native' Fell from dropping down there on the daily just to get some snacks and check on his new child Muriel and kiss his husband senseless? He's gonna be gone just long enough for initiation and then be like "Yep, new rule, archangel gets to do whatever they damn well please, y'all know where my bookshop is if u need me" and then dip.

Book Review: Shall Machines Divide the Earth
I've never written a book review before, so bear with. But I recently finished 'Shall Machines Divide the Earth' by Benjanun Sriduangkaew and what a ride!
Quick overview: this book (actually a novella - about 110 pages on my kindle) takes place in a galaxy occupied by both human and AI. It follows Thannarat, who enters a deadly tournament run by AI where humans team up with AI proxies to win pretty much whatever they want. I won't spoil the book itself, but I did want to give some of my thoughts on what I liked and what didn't quite land for me.
Content Warnings: This book contains explicit sexual scenes, most of which could be considered kinky, and there is definitely plenty of violence.
Writing: The writing is gorgeous. To the point where I was sitting here taking notes for my own works. Sometimes it edged toward almost too ornate, but not in a way that ever tampered my enjoyment, and my own writing leans sparse anyway, so I don't really see that as a negative. And as someone who really enjoys good prose on its own, this book took me a while to read because I wanted to savor it.
Characters: Okay, first of all: these characters are not good people. But they were never meant to be. I'm not even sure how to describe the people that you follow - are they realistic? I've certainly never met someone like Thannarat, but honestly, it doesn't matter. They were engaging, complex, and absolutely fascinating. I couldn't say I liked them, but I wanted to see where they would end up, which IMO takes a lot of skill.
Plot: For me, this was the only thing I had a bit of an issue with. Not because I felt the plot didn't work - it certainly did, and the ending absolutely landed - but it took time to come together, and I think creating a complex world and introducing (and wrapping up) a complex plot within a relatively short book is a hefty task. I had a bit of trouble following how everything fit together, but I think that varies reader to reader, and I definitely think it wrapped up. It gave me a similar feeling to reading Tamsyn Muir's work, where I'm not sure I 100% understand everything that's going on, but I'm absolutely certain the author knows exactly what they're doing.
World: This ties into the plot for me, because as I mentioned above, doling out a complex world and a complex plot at the same time is hard to do well, and I think this author did, but it's a lot to keep track of. I think this might deter some who are less interested in the worldbuilding aspects of their SFF, but for a nerd like me, I was happy to sit back and let this detailed and fascinating world come to life as I read. You get the feeling as you're reading that there's a true scope to this world, that the world on the pages exists beyond the book itself, and that is truly a skill in and of itself.
My Overall Thoughts and Rating: This is a banger. 4/5 stars for me, and while I might need a moment before picking up other books in this world (there is a LOT to digest in this story), I'd definitely like to at some point. The author really knows their craft, and if you're okay with the content warnings and morally gray characters, I would highly recommend.
