I don’t think I’ve said it on here before but why didn’t ice dance teams immediately jump to use 80’s movie soundtracks instead of terribly editing the same 5 songs for the rhythm dance.

#you know I originally thought nothing would be worse than the fake Latin last season #and these people continue to horrifically surprise me cause I’m sooooo disappointed with like 90% of the music choices this season #maybe it’s the cinephile in me speaking but a movie soundtrack would be SO simple to choreograph to #instead we’re getting mismatches of songs #GLEE COVERS #besides the lack of movie soundtrack music in general the 80s is an entire decade of music #why are there so many song repeats among teams #we need to dead the fun themes go back to the classic ballroom ones #because clearly we can’t trust these people to do anything right 😭#rhythm dance #ice dance #figure skating #you’re telling me you only know like ten 80s songs alright!

Eddie trying to teach the girls about metal over the years! Do any of them like it? Or do they just wanna listen to their own thing I feel like one of them probably would at least go through the emo phase right?

HA yeah I think at a minimum Robbie goes through some kind of edgy phase in high school. I feel like she'd go more grunge than emo (but I also feel like she’d be in it for the vibes more than anything else so who knows).

The problem is that Robbie is Eddie to a T, so she’s just as big a music snob as he was at her age, just…in a different direction. She’s definitely listening to Twenty One Pilots, MCR, Fall Out Boy, Arctic Monkeys – the pinnacle of mid-2010s Tumblr emo culture – and even though those bands could totally be gateways to the kind of stuff Eddie likes, she absolutely refuses to entertain even the thought of listening to any of his suggestions.

Eddie doesn’t even bother with Hazel. She’s a total pop princess just like her dad and cringes even at some of Robbie’s Twenty One Pilots stuff even though (in Eddie’s eyes) they’re basically pop-adjacent.

He ends up having the greatest success with Moe. Metal definitely isn’t her favorite, but she’ll listen to anything – her preference by the time she’s in her early twenties is indie stuff but her taste in genres is all over the map. I feel like she could be one of those people who does the whole personalized playlist as a sign of love thing, and she has one for everyone in the family. The one she made for Eddie definitely includes the music he’s shared with her over the years.

WELPDSJKS sorry to be the one to break it to you but yeah when he had his appendectomy he went into respiratory failure after and had to be put in a medically induced coma in the ICU (x) he came back at the next race in singapore (x) which had everyone including george like right😐okay. and it was all very concerning but it was mostly fine (if you ignore the fact his performance coach said his lungs didn’t recover for the rest of the season) but yeah he raced at singapore and he wore a special helmet that he auctioned that raised £84k for an orphanage in thailand! (x) september 2022 was a hell of a month in alexland
