been thinking about the liyue gang and how id draw their physical builds so here are some thoughts i had for xy cy and gm in particular
- xingqiu, unsurprisingly, would be quite lanky. i like to think he has broad-ish shoulders, like a thin athlete's build? hes a long boy to me haha, long face, neck, limbs, fingers etc, so naturally hes stands (comparatively) tall at 5'6" or 5'7"
i like to think hes most physically attractive one and has that handsome princely and boyish charm to him because it adds a lot to his fuckass duality LOL
- chongyun is a lot like xiao imo! short stature but with muscular arms. he seems nimble and flexible because of his normal attack animations (which bears a lot of similarities to xiao's actually! this + the fact that chongyun's normal attacks create gusts of wind further reinforces my hc that xiao trains him). sometimes i watch high energy choreography vids on youtube and some dancers look incredibly light on their feet, almost like their body is inherently bouncy? and i imagine chongyun to have that agility to him. chongyun has a delicate face and aura and i let that bleed into my hcs for his fighting style and physical capabilities hahaha. hes kind of like a cat who's deceptively strong. as for height.. just a few inches taller than xiao, so perceptibly short at 5'4"
- ga ming my new beloved. pretty much similar to chongyun but more muscular and stronger just because he wields his claymore with ease. theres a noticeable weight different between cy and his claymore the way he lugs it up after he swings (or even other claymore users like razor who, on his last hit, bounces from impact). meanwhile ga ming literally slams his to the ground LOL. i love his movements though hes very swift and expressive and radiant.. if cy has delicate movements then ga ming's is fierce and (charmingly!) assertive
ga ming is wonderfully charismatic though, i know hes not well known in liyue harbor yet, but he seems like the type to gain a reputation from his friendliness. how could no one adore him hahaha. 5'5" for height! just between xy and xq
#tangy talks genshin#chongyun gets analyzed most my bad#this was super fun though#while thoughtful ; genshin chara designs will always look distinctly gacha and flashy so a lot of the designs kinda blur together in my hea#this is why i really like looking into their animations particuarly their normal attacks#i think it conveys their personalities really well! it's always something to look forward to when new characters release#i gravitate towards swords polearms and claymores most though because i like the act of swinging and slashing hah. it also requires a lot o#body movement and reflects a lot of irl martial arts fencing and other combat techniques#sword users are always really fun to watch because theyre inherently graceful hahah. i will admit it gets kinda repetitive#i think my favorite NA animation has to be albedo's.. very simple clean and refined. he stands elegantly and puts his arm behind his back o#his 2nd attack which ive been transfixed by since be first came out in 2020 LOL. i love albebo#wow these tags are long as hell#but anyway i actually have more thoughts on xq's physical appearance but its just me rambling about how i think hes funny as fuck#im a proponent of dashingly pretty princely xingqiu not necessarily because i want to bestow upon him desirable traits#but because i think its funny knowing hes just a bit of a loser under all that#hes well known (mr worldwide one might say) and the heir to a prestigious guild and chivalrous talented and prolific#but he writes self insert novels hates carrots had bad handwriting sings really bad#hes just a teenage boy#as always i will 100% have more to say about chongyun but ill save that for another post#ga ming on the other hand.. i dont have anything substantial to say but hes super fun to think about#hes such a likable character#wow these tags are LONG as fuck ill stop now.

i love stobin working retail jobs and sharing a resume so much but consider this. steve follows robin to bloomington, indianapolis, west lafayette, wherever she decides to go and they get a little apartment. maybe they decide to go out of state but i think they stay in the midwest. then st takes a page from buffy and steve works construction while robin goes to school.

This is unknown horse tag #8428. We were unable to identify him, and he is most likely from outside the HMA. He needs a name, perhaps Pegasus?
We last visited the BLM holding pens in August, our purpose was to photograph and take a video of horses for the BLM Online Corral adoption event. Our day started at 8 am when we met Steve Leonard in the prison parking lot. We had previously submitted our security clearance, and after a brief ID check at the gate were given access and driven to the horse pens. The horses had already been moved from their large pen into an alley which led to a small round pen. From this small pen they were moved into a long chute of about 20 yards, which had tall sides and did not allow the horses to see out or where they were going. The horses are frightened, some more than others. The last time they were moved was for gelding, and prior to that vaccinations, age estimation, and freeze branding.
When the first horse reaches the end of the chute, a solid metal door is slid aside, and the horse is moved out and into the working chute, and now sees his surroundings. He is held here while his brand is checked, and a photo taken to show head and height. We tried to work as quickly as possible to not delay the time spent in this confined area. The gate of the working chute was then opened, and the horse comes out into an open pen where Linda, Robin and I stood with cameras. Also in this area were BLM and prison personnel and inmates. The inmates work with the horses daily, feeding, cleaning pens, and performing maintenance. On this day their job was to keep the horse moving from one end of the pen to the other for the video portion of the photo session. Videos show the horses movement for interested adopters.
We don’t know where Pegasus was gathered from, but it is possible he had never encountered humans before, and certainly not the scary, noisy world he had been thrust into. He was in flight mode and looking for ways to get away and escape. The fence was 7 feet tall, and the gate which he jumped was close to 6 feet. Pegasus was stressed and afraid, and decided he was going to leave sooner than later. We watched as he galloped towards the gate, jumped it, and joined the other geldings.
We share this photo for educational purposes. If you are adopting a mustang and are experienced then you already know. If you are adopting a mustang for the first time, you need to take the BLM requirements seriously and don’t underestimate the need for appropriate fencing. It must be 6 feet tall (or taller if you can do it) and sturdy. Not all mustangs will react like this guy did, but you must be prepared.
We are hopeful Pegasus will be adopted by a sanctuary or a knowledgeable person who will give him a soft place to land. He is aged at 24 years old by the BLM, but just a guess he is half that age. We can’t bid on horses, but SWAT would be happy to pay for an adoption fee to a qualified sanctuary or adopter.

Just saw a lady on my fyp talking about “red flags she saw at a daycare center” and all of the comments are early education teachers roasting her 💀

thinking about shtolaiha fencing lessons this fine 1:33am on a saturday..... u know how it is............
#i like to think they spar/teach each other their combat techniques both because they find it interesting (it's the nerdism) and because it#helps them work together in real combat better :)#y'shtola's blindness makes fencing or melee weapons in general less than ideal because even tho she can see the aether theres a significant#like. lag? afterimage? basically she “sees” people as being where they are longer than they were#so like. a less-than-a-second delay before the aether in that space fades and her vision tracks the moving target#this isn't so much of a problem when you're a black mage and all your spells have fuck-off huge areas of effect (even single-target ones!#have u seen how big those vfxes are!) but the finesse required when wielding a rapier makes it. a glaring issue.#she still likes to practice though. and conversely l'aiha has never been able to rely purely on magic so things like blm don't suit her#she has a lot of physical endurance and her magic IS powerful but she has to wield it in moderation in a fight. it's why when she loses the#ability TO use her magic at the end of 5.0 she takes so readily to magicless tanking. she's just strong!!! and mostly too nimble to get hit#a lot hehe.#yoshi talks

my dog was a tie-out dog for 3 years because we didnt have a fenced backyard and couldnt get one for various reasons. but I walked her for 2 hours every single day, frequently she'd come on multi hour hikes, and she was by no means a working breed. medium sized pet dog in the truest mutt form. being on a tie out doesnt mean being a neglected animal
Anon is an excellent example of somebody that would be harmed because of a tie-out ban. I’m glad your pup got time to be outdoors even if you didn’t have a fence!

It was too icy to risk a walk last night so picture a very bundled up weirdo standing in the grassy, unfenced open space behind my apartment building, guiltly checking over my shoulder for anyone coming as I toss a ball for my unleashed dog who is blissfully unaware and very excited to be playing fetch.
She mostly ignores anything that is not ball when one is present and she is a very friendly pooch, but the last thing I want is her surprising someone afraid of or nervous around dogs or even another dog in general. No one came cause it was late and dark but I kept the leash in hand and kept the throws short enough Chili was never 10 steps away from me just in case.
Think I'm gunna invest in one of those super long dog leads for this kind of night or any time I physically can't walk due to whatever reason cause Chili needs some kind of exercise and her not being on a leash even with her collar on and her propensity to stick right by me still has me nervous.
#jacq life#chili dawg#the area in question is away from any roads or sidewalks#but its between my building the fenced in yard for a daycare and another set of apartment complexes up a hill#and people do walk between there during the day#a longer lead would mean i could still have some measure of control and she can still sprint a reasonable distance for fetch#modern problems require modern solutions#for 8 months out of the year i can go to the dog park literally every night but winter definitely has its set of logistical issues
