Day 17 part 2 electric boogaloo!

So I already posted today, but then I did more! This is my first proper DTIYS, and the original is by @applestruda, I’m not sure how ‘your style’ it is, and there are definitely some places where I messed up a little, but I’m really proud of it and really really enjoyed drawing it! I’ve loved Struda’s art for a really long time now so once my exams had finished I jumped at the chance to try something of theirs!

It's time to call out the dubbing of our own country: Italian Danny talks like an unhinged thirty-something years old. 

After seeing the series in its original language we got curious and made a re-watch in Italian, and it was a mess. One of the most iconic things is probably how they translated "I'm going ghost!" to an impromptu "Danny è un fantasma!" (Danny is a ghost!) which yeah, feels like the little dude really despises the idea of keeping a secret identity and wants instead everyone to look at his rad transformation.

So, if Danny had been a little more cunning and unfriendly, and unwilling to answer Tsukauchi's questions, he would have simply shown that Tsukauchi's quirk accepts contradictory answers equally true. I think then they would have left him alone, but if not...

The Angel of Music

Erik, or better known as, "The Phantom".

According to Gaston Leroux, the author of the 1910 novel "Le Fantôme de l'Opéra", Erik is described as corpse-like and is referred to as having a "death's-head" (human skull) throughout the story. He has no nose, and his eyes are sunken so deep in his skull that all that is seen are two eye sockets, except when his yellow eyes glow in the dark. His skin is yellowed and tightly stretched across his bones, and only a few wisps of dark brown hair are behind his ears and on his forehead. His mouth is never described in as much detail, but is referred to as a “dead mouth” by Christine, and Erik acknowledges that his mouth is abnormal when lifting up his mask to display ventriloquism. He is described as extremely thin, so much so that he resembles a skeleton.

Day 6

I hope y’all know these days aren’t consecutive, these are just days I’ve actually done art, because I’m busy and this is a really slow process

Not much today, just a bit of progress on my big one, and then a zoom in on Martyn whose face and hair is slightly too big for his head meaning I’ve accidentally anime-girled him, whoops! Again, this piece is originally by @cherrifire

I hate the way this turned out but I also shed my very dear sweat,blood and tears for this piece and I don't want any of my bodily fluids going to waste

Miss metal gear makes her return >:) Good to see her out and about again.

We got to see both Jack and Vlad as half-ghosts, but how come we never got as much as a glimpse of a timeline where it's our scientist homegirl that goes ghost? It was our specific duty to rectify that!

And oh boy, while we were sketching this silly idea out we started mentally diving into the potential of this AU. We have ideas... We might put them on paper 👀

Of course we wanted to play more with her design and avoid making her looking exactly like Vlad's Plasmius except it's Maddie (like it happened to Jack Plasmius, what was the deal with that one?), so the color palette gets shuffled so it resembles more her regular palette but inverted, and she got her trademark goggles in a nice green to mimick the portal (and because it's rad)!
