NaNoWriMo Day #3 Snip
She could remember one particular incident where Adelaide Davis had wound up in Thomas’s penthouse.
What had first been a terrifying visit - because Adelaide Davis - had quickly wound up entertaining when Thomas’s spymaster walked in and lost her shit. Then Thomas’s bodyguard was drawn in by the racket and almost got himself Dementated out of a window, the one that got smashed three seconds later. Olivia’s most vivid memory that evening had been of the spymaster frisbeeing her laptop at Adelaide from the top of the stairs right over her head, then cursing loudly at how badly she’d missed. That was how Olivia learned that Nosferatu had Potence; the laptop shot through the allegedly shatter-proof glass and caught air to god knew where, and nobody ever saw it again. (The spymaster later crowed victoriously about tracing it to the Hudson, where she posthumously named it “Nokia.”) The only reason they managed to bring Adelaide under control was because the Brujah took advantage of the laptop-induced distraction and staked Adelaide into next week.

Brennan playing Bug With a Big Ass and everyone clocking the character as Rehka INCLUDING Rehka herself is so incredibly funny to me
I love how much they are leaning into the reality show style for the editing and presentation
The logistics of running this episode makes perfect sense as to why the finale was delayed and I'm so excited to see how it concludes

What would your own personal room look like and what would the snacks be?
I would want a pirate themed room styled to look like a captain's quarters. As for snacks, I'd want stuff like brownie bites, and cookies as well as tortilla chips or hummus and dips.

New Game Changer thoughts:
(yes, posting this on Tuesday - it uploaded late at night where I am)
Truly an excellent concept. Zac Oyama is killing me. I also don't know who Eric Wareheim (am I spelling that right) is - but I'm sure the actual cast does, and that's more important. I'm just here for chaos. Can't wait for part 2!

"A Piece of the Action" (1977) is a comedy film directed by Sidney Poitier and stars Poitier and Bill Cosby. It is the third installment of the unofficial Uptown Trilogy, including "Uptown Saturday Night" (1974) and "Let's Do It Again" (1975). Charles Blackwell and Timothy March wrote the film, featuring Denise Nicholas, Hope Clarke, James Earl Jones, Tracy Reed, and Titos Vandis. Additional cast members are several young actors and actresses who are part of the community youth center in the film. Many were familiar faces in T.V. during the 70s, including Ernest Thomas, Bryan O'Dell, Eric Laneuville, Tamu Blackwell, and Sheryl Lee Ralph. Curtis Mayfield produced the soundtrack, and Mavis Staples was the vocals on the album.
Sidney Poitier applied some elements from "To Sir, with Love" in "A Piece of the Action." While the film isn't school-themed, the teenagers are of high school age, and there were significant teachable moments from Poitier. He used the 'common courtesy' exercise in "To Sir, with Love," "A Piece of the Action," and "To Sir, with Love II." Youth community centers are meaningful aspects for inner-city children. They allow children to learn outside of the school environments, and "A Piece of the Action" shows the importance of teaching students about the real world.
Overall, "A Piece of the Action" is a fun movie. The cast is legendary, and the messages still hold today.
Director: Sidney Poitier Writers: Charles Blackwell, Timothy March
Starring Sidney Poitier, Bill Cosby, James Earl Jones, Denise Nicholas, Hope Clarke, Tracy Reed, Ja'net DuBois, Frances Foster, Ernest Thomas, Eric Laneuville, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Titos Vandis, Jason Evers, Marc Lawrence, Edward Love, Bryan O'Dell, Dianne Oyama Dixon, Larry Beecham, Karole Selmon, Tamu Blackwell, Gammy Burdett, Wonderful Smith
Storyline Dave Anderson (Bill Cosby) and Manny Durrell (Sidney Portier) are two high-class sneak thieves who have never been caught. Joshua Burke (James Earl Jones) is a retired detective with enough evidence to put them behind bars. Instead, he offers to maintain his silence if the crooks will go straight and do work at a youth center for delinquents. At first, the thieves are reluctant (and so are the kids). As time passes, they gain the kids' trust and admiration and enjoy the job. All goes well until someone out of the past tells them they must do one last heist.
Available on DVD and streaming services

Look at this! Eric has some words to share! Draht Photography
New Post has been published on https://www.drahtphotography.com/the-island-wedding-at-lake-oyama-sampler/
The Island Wedding at Lake Oyama Sampler
Lake Oyama is an incredible place. Just above Kelowna, it has all these small islands you can boat out to. Originally, one of these islands was meant to be the ceremony site, but it didn’t quite pan out. That being said, we did make it out there, and we got some incredible photos.
Take a look at that!
And so, we begin as always with the details. I wanted a film-like photo, because the ceremony site was so picturesque. It overlooked said islands, and our the rugs and arch completed the look.
The entire resort is divided up – there’s cabins, tents, and even an outfitted school bus for the kids to sleep in! The groom’s cabin was right by the entrance, so that’s where I went.
Over at cabin 9, our bride was nearly ready too!
And then, the procession began. The light wasn’t planned – I’m not sure how it hit like that, but I’m in love with it. I love patchy light, it’s an incredible texture.
And then, after a group photo, we ran off to the islands! I’ve been eying them for a while – it’s certainly something quite unique.
It’s an incredible experience, and one I never thought I’d have – to have an entire island to myself!
It’s wonderful, because you have so many different kinds of photos you can take – I get really into the water, the sky, the lake.
And this is how we got around!
The reception was gorgeous. A benefit of Oyama is there’s no cell phone coverage, just people living in the moment. And there were so many moments!
On the way up, there was this incredible lookout. Like nothing I’ve ever seen in Kelowna, perhaps the most gorgeous lookout in the area. We had some dinner, took a few more photos in the water for good measure, and piled into the truck for some closing shots.
Unfortunately, this is where I’ll have to leave you. There’s some incredible photos from the day, and this is just a sneak peek, a sampler. About 50 photos, so quite a large sneak peek!
The full album has so many candids, an absolutely stunning sneakaway, and even a first dance where every guest had a sparkler. There’s some unforgettable moments that you’ll love to see.
A special shoutout to the guy who moved his truck so we could get these photos!
If you’d like to be notified when the album is ready, you can pre-register here.
Thank you for reading this far! If you’d like to follow my progress, feel free to follow my facebook, or instagram! Talk to you soon!

Just made a hc fancast of Deltarune characters (spoilers for ch2 ahead!) because I couldn't resist, I often imagine these voices in my head while reading/writing. Fancast under the cut, both English and Japanese VAs!
Kris Dreemurr: Sarah Natochenny | Mitsuki Saiga
Susie: Kimberly Brooks | Junko Minagawa
Ralsei: Bryce Papenbrook | Yuuki Kaji
Lancer: Greg Ayres | Nobuyo Oyama
Rouxls Kaard: Eric Stuart | Masaya Onosaka
King of Spades: Greg Ayres | Rikiya Koyama
Jevil: Max Mittleman | Daisuke Hirakawa
Noelle Holiday: Cristina Vee | Sora Amamiya
Berdly: Matthew Labyorteaux | Takahiro Sakurai
Queen: Lydia Leonard | Yuriko Yamaguchi
Spamton G. Spamton: Alex Norton | Takehito Koyasu
I might add more characters, so it's kinda on going. I chose two female VAs for Kris, specifically Sarah Natochenny and Mitsuki Saiga because they have an androgynous voice in most of their dubs, I simply think their voices might fit Kris! Especially Mitsuki Saiga. Lancer and the King have the same Eng VA because I think Greg Ayres would do both of them very well. Unfortunately I don't know many Eng VAs, so I just chose those who I know + my favorites (I think you can also tell what are my tastes by seeing this fancast LMAO). If you also have suggestions, I'd be glad to read them! ;;

Reading @nightingaletrash's Prototype/VTM crossover makes me want to write about Wendy's little fucked up NYC coterie and their various misadventures as they try to keep NYC under Thomas Arturo's control
and I just realised how chaotic all the personalities involved are bc:
Exhibit A: Wendy Taylor, the spymaster, who's ADHD chaos personified and basically Jack Sparrows her way through life
Exhibit B: @orodrethsgeek's version of Eric Oyama, the bodyguard/shadow sheriff, who is blood bound to Thomas Arturo willingly because the blood bond shuts up the Brujah contrarian nature (which he finds exhausting) and compels him to go along with Thomas's wishes, but isn't so strong he doesn't also fucking hate the guy and want to shove him in a locker from time to time, especially when he does shit that puts his (Thomas's) life at risk
Exhibit C: Adelaide Davis, the assassin. Enough said.
Exhibit D: Thomas Arturo, the True Prince, aka King Bastard himself
Exhibit E: Hellene Panhard, the Only Sane Man of the coterie, who constantly gets migraines from watching the chaos that is Wendy', Eric' and occasionaly Adelaide's constant arguments (with running commentary from Thomas, when he doesn't join in). She would be so much happier if Thomas fired the rest out of a canon into the sun and just kept it him and her, thank you very much, and will you STOP letting your spymaster boss me around THANK YOU.

TAGUIG CITY AN ARTISTIC PLACE
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
TAGUIG CITY IS AN ARTISTIC PLACE BECAUSE HERE IN TAGUIG YOU CAN SEE MANY ARTS AND ART MUSEUMS THAT SHOWCASE THE TALENT OF THE CITIZEN OF TAGUIG AND OTHER PEOPLE FROM OTHER CITIES AND COUNTRIES. ABOVE YOU CAN SEE THE ART THAT IS CREATED IN OUR CITY (TAGUIG CITY), ALSO PERFORMANCE DONE IN OUR CITY, AND ART THAT IS DONE BY PEOPLE FROM TAGUIG.
on the top you can see is the mural paintings and performing arts that are created and performed in our city, and the other is done by people from Taguig. all these artworks and artforms inspire me to create a poster slogan.
Tumblr media
The poster slogan that I made represents my perspective on our City in terms of arts. like on the top you can see the types of brush. this represents that artists have various ways of expressing their feeling through arts. the certificate represents that all these arts and artists deserved to be awarded for their efforts and for the art they produce and performed. the next one is the building, the building represents the city of Taguig and its prosperity in artistic figure or performance. and also the camera and the mask represent the type of art which is the movies and theatrical play in Taguig. all of those represent their own meaning.
the first picture on the top is a mural painted in Bonifacio High Street, Taguig City. it is entitled "manpower" by Kris Abrigo. it is his tribute to the labor forces of our Country.
A. VISUAL ARTS- the mural painting is a Traditional art, mural art in Latin word is "murus" means "wall".it is a Traditional Art because the mural art is used by the ancient people to draw or to paint on caves or walls to preserve a historical event or to illustrate their life testimony.
B. NOT INTEGRATIVE- the mural art is not an integrative art. because it is only painting on the wall, there is no other type of art that is integrated into a mural art
C. the "Manpower" by Kris Abrigo is painted in one of the buildings in Bonifacio High Street, Taguig City year 2016. Kris Stated that it is his tribute to the labor forces of the Philippines.
he is born in 1989 in Bicol, Kris Abrigo is a visual artist and a muralist who graduated from the University of the Philippines Diliman’s Bachelor of Fine Arts program in 2010
D. I can compare him to Juanito Torres of their concept in painting. they both like to visualize the combined power of the people that is very powerful. i can compare his work the "manpower" to the painting of Juanito Torres the "Gathering of the heroes".
the second picture is the theatrical play "A Doll"s House"
A. PERFORMING ARTS- the theatrical play is a traditional Art because the theatrical play is used since the past era as entertainment.
B. IT IS AN INTEGRATIVE ART- the Theatrical play is an integrative art because it is integrated with three other types of art which are; choreography, music composition, and props.
C. "a Doll"s house Part2 by Cris Villonco is performed at the BGC Art Center in September 2018.
Cris Villonco is a Filipino performance artist whose credits include performances in theater, television, film, recordings, music videos, and advertisements. Cris Villonco, who made her directorial debut, her inspiration is to show what a powerhouse cast can do when matched with equally compelling material. The Lucas Hnath original starts 15 years after the ending of Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll's House (1879), where a stronger and bolder Nora leaves her husband and slams the door behind her.
D. i can compare her to Rolando Santos Tinio. because they both can act two roles at once. they can both become the actor while being a director, it Is because of their talented personality
the third picture is the " Eto Na! Musical NaPo!"
A. PERFORMING ARTS- the theatrical play is a traditional Art because the theatrical play is used since the past era as entertainment.
B. IT IS AN INTEGRATIVE ART- the Theatrical play is an integrative art because it is integrated with four other types of art which are; props, choreography, music composition, and instruments.
C. "Eto NA! Musikal NaPo!" by Jude Buot is performed at the BGC Art Center in August 2018.
Jude Buot graduated at Ateneo De Manila College, the "Eto NA! Musikal NaPo!" proof that great jukebox musicals come from a perfect marriage of hit songs and a well laid-out story, and one shouldn't be more important than the other.
D. I can compare him to Eric de Guia because their work is from the Philippines and do not have the influence of another country
the fourth picture is the "Bagman"
A. PERFORMING ARTS- cinema, the cinema is a contemporary art because it is found in the 20th century.
B. INTEGRATIVE ART- it is an integrative art because the cinema is like a combination of all art forms, art forms like; musical composition theatrical play choreography, and etc
C. it is a story written by the current mayor of Taguig City, Mayor Lino Cayetano. it was performed in the year 2019. Lino Edgardo Schramm Cayetano was born on January 4, 1978, is a Filipino politician and television director serving as the Mayor of Taguig since 2019. the "BAGMAN" is a story about the newly elected governor that vows to uncover the culprit behind his attempted assassination.
D. i can compare hin to Amado Vera Hernandez. because some of Amado Hernandez's work is about exposing something to society. just like the movie written by Lino Cayetano they both have a message they want to expose to society.
the fifth picture is the" Andres Bonifacio"
C. C. the "Andres Bonifacio" by Doppel is painted in one of the buildings in Bonifacio High Street, Taguig City year 2014. Live painting duo by BAKIBAKI (Kohei Yamao) and MON (Kotaro Oyama)In 2001, started activities in Kyoto based on the concept of “pursuing expression in the unit of“ two people ”who are not individuals and not the society”. From live painting at clubs and festivals to wall paintings and installations to store walls and public objects, installations, their inspiration is Andres Bonifacio who is a Filipino hero and the hero that the place was named.
D. I can compare them to Fernando Amorsolo because their way of conveying their message and ideas through painting changes society because of the knowledge the painting provides.

May 13, 2020         Screen New Deal: Naomi Klein on How Companies Like Google Plan to Profit in High-Tech COVID Dystopia
Screen New Deal
“What this, what I’m calling a “Screen New Deal,” really does is treat this period of isolation not as what we have needed to do in order to save lives — this is what we thought we were doing, right? — flattening the curve, but rather — and Eric Schmidt has said this elsewhere. He said it in April in a video call with the Economic Club of New York. He described what was happening now as a “grand experiment in remote learning.” So, all the parents out there who are listening or watching, you’ve been struggling with supporting your kids on Google Classroom and Zoom calls, and you thought you were just trying to get through the day. Well, according to Google, you’ve been engaged in a “grand experiment in remote learning,” where they are getting a great deal of data and figuring out how to do this permanently, because they actually believe this is a better way of educating kids, or at least, and coming back to our earlier conversation, a more profitable way.
So, I think we’re going to see very incomplete so-called solutions, and solutions obviously that massively benefit private tech interests. And we’re not having a discussion about, “Well, look, if it is true that we are going to need to be spending more time in our homes, and if it is true that access to technology is a lifeline, then should we be treating the internet as a commons, as a public utility, that we govern, that is governed by our regulations and by democracy?” As soon as you outsource the solutions to Eric Schmidt, who still has $5.3 billion in Alphabet shares, which is the company that owns Google, and who has holdings in all kinds of these tech companies, they are not going to put those public interest questions on the table.
And what we’re being sold now, whether with the idea that everything is going to be solved with more surveillance and an app or remote learning and telehealth, is really taking the humans out of the equation. Right? It is humans who are setting up these systems. It is humans, like whether it is the teachers in their homes or the parents in their homes, who are helping students learn right now. It isn’t just Google Classroom that is doing it. But humans are being erased from this story. And we aren’t hearing the kinds of human solutions that, with proper control over good technology, we could actually come up with some viable models here.”

Under Cover of Mass Death, Andrew Cuomo Calls in the Billionaires to Build a High-Tech Dystopia
May 8 2020  The Intercept
“It has taken some time to gel, but something resembling a coherent Pandemic Shock Doctrine is beginning to emerge. Call it the “Screen New Deal.” Far more high-tech than anything we have seen during previous disasters, the future that is being rushed into being as the bodies still pile up treats our past weeks of physical isolation not as a painful necessity to save lives, but as a living laboratory for a permanent — and highly profitable — no-touch future.
As chair,[Eric] Schmidt, who still holds more than $5.3 billion in shares of Alphabet (Google’s parent company), as well as large investments in other tech firms, has essentially been running a Washington-based shakedown on behalf of Silicon Valley. The main purpose of the two boards is to call for exponential increases in government spending on research into artificial intelligence and on tech-enabling infrastructure like 5G — investments that would directly benefit the companies in which Schmidt and other members of these boards have extensive holdings.
It’s a reminder that, until very recently, public pushback against these companies was surging. Presidential candidates were openly discussing breaking up big tech. Amazon was forced to pull its plans for a New York headquarters because of fierce local opposition. Google’s Sidewalk Labs project was in perennial crisis, and Google’s own workers were refusing to build surveillance tech with military applications.
Now, in the midst of the carnage of this ongoing pandemic, and the fear and uncertainty about the future it has brought, these companies clearly see their moment to sweep out all that democratic engagement. To have the same kind of power as their Chinese competitors, who have the luxury of functioning without being hampered by intrusions of either labor or civil rights.
If we are indeed seeing how critical digital connectivity is in times of crisis, should these networks, and our data, really be in the hands of private players like Google, Amazon, and Apple? If public funds are paying for so much of it, should the public also own and control it? If the internet is essential for so much in our lives, as it clearly is, should it be treated as a nonprofit public utility?
In each case, we face real and hard choices between investing in humans and investing in technology. Because the brutal truth is that, as it stands, we are very unlikely to do both. The refusal to transfer anything like the needed resources to states and cities in successive federal bailouts means that the coronavirus health crisis is now slamming headlong into a manufactured austerity crisis.
On the contrary: The price tag for all the shiny gadgets will be mass teacher layoffs and hospital closures.”

197 Comments “But it is in the area of 'regulatory capture' that Google has really excelled.  Regulatory capture, according to Nobel laureate George Stigler, is the process by which regulatory agencies eventually come to be dominated by the very industries they were charged with regulating.   Putting aside the fact that Google chairman Eric Schmidt has visited the Obama White House more than any other corporate executive in America and that Google chief lobbyist Katherine Oyama was associate counsel to Vice President Joe Biden, the list of highly-placed Googlers in the federal government is truly mind-boggling. . . . "Google makes sure to place bets on both sides of the aisle.  So while Eric Schmidt is advising Hillary Clinton's campaign, Larry Page flew with Sean Parker and Elon Musk in March of 2016 to a secret Republican meeting at a resort in Sea Island, Georgia, organized by the right-wing think tank the American Enterprise Institute.  There they met with Republican leadership, including Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan as well as Karl Rove, to plan Republican 2016 election strategy.  My own experience in talking to legislators about Internet reform has led me to understand that Google, Amazon, and Facebook are deeply embedded in both parties, and their interests will be protected no matter who is in the White House." — Jonathan Taplin, Move Fast and Break Things:  How Facebook, Google, and Amazon Cornered Culture and Undermined Democracy (2017)

The Epic Sparkler Wedding at Kopje Park Sampler
We had a secondary choice for a headliner image, it’s here.
I liked the first more because, as an Okanagan boy, I like the lakes and I like the mountains. Plus it just seemed to paint a clearer picture. This is important – wedding trends come and go, but what will always be important to you is the moments you have with your friends. And boy, did we have a lot of moments today.
We start today’s sampler with socks. Very comfy, personalized socks. Our groom loves his socks, and so his great taste in socks shows. These even came in beautiful, handmade little containers. I was told it took three months to make 120 of these!
And next, ring shots. The airbnb they had picked out was just incredible – trees, bushes, and forest everywhere!
That’s not it, though. Personalized sippy-cups for each of the bridesmaids! This is especially thoughtful, as you can drink through a straw without messing up your lipstick.
Last, an epic dress shot for an epic dress. I’m sure you’ve read about how I love lacy big dresses. This one was absolutely out of this world.
That photo is the Okanagan, without a doubt.
I made my way over to the boys. To my delight, all the details were ready for me.
The guys all helped each other with ties and vests. Before long, everyone was picture perfect. I snapped a few more photos, and headed back to the airbnb’s.
It was a sunglasses moment.
Back at the bride’s, everyone was scrambling. Six bridesmaids made for an effective working team. Plus a few flower girls running about!
We made out way upstairs, a dress was waiting.
Mom approves. I love, love, love parents on wedding days. Especially this one!
And just like that, our bride was ready. We ran out to take a portrait, then off to Kopje Park!
They had Kopje decorated like I’ve never seen before. The highlight being the incredible arch. The detail put into this handmade arch was just mind blowing.
Everything was so beautifully decorated. I’d post more pictures, but this is just a sneak peek. It’s already quite large, at 67 pictures.
So we’ll just go straight to the processional, complete with flowers girls who have bubble guns. Pay special attention to our groom’s face.
Sometimes a lot of things can happen at the same time in just one picture.
The ceremony was beautiful. It was heartfelt, and just simply gorgeous against the Kalamalka Lake. A first kiss, then high fiving up the aisle!
Then, of course, family photos. This family was quite large. Which is great, because I love big group family photos!
After the family photos, we popped a cork and took a short re-energizing break! The best part about popping a cork is seeing how everyone handles it differently in photos.
Then, some fun photos with the bridal parties. Every bridal party is different, which is why I do my best to make sure the photos reflect the spirit of the moment. You have serious bridal parties, art deco bridal parties, artsy bridal parties, then you have party bridal parties. Who know how to party.
Check out those socks. All picked out and personalized by the groom.
The bridesmaids were absolute visions. The pastel colours complimented the lush greens especially well.
A little secret is that I consider Kopje one of the best spots to hold your wedding in the Okanagan. It has an old heritage house, the lake with its stunning views, talls grass, trees, and it’s in the middle of orchards and wineries. I could shoot ten weddings ten days in a row and they’d all look different – that’s the kind of variety and choice Kopje gives you.
This is my favourite time, when the three of us get to hang out and make some beautiful pictures together. Genuine smiles all around.
Our reception venue was Oyama Hall. It’s an interesting place, and I hope to go through the reasons why. One is that it can be whatever you want it to be – in this case, no time or expense was spared in decorating it. Have you ever seen a doughnut wall? Complete with a hilarious pun, as all puns undoubtedly are.
The night was a blur. We played flippy-cup, ran outside to watch the sunset, and danced. I’m hoping a few of these pictures will convey how special the night was. Just everything has so well thought out. I could very well be the only person who thinks this, but the old hall brings its own flavour & character into the mix.
Unfortunately, though, this is where I’ll have to leave you. Keep in mind, this isn’t all the photos. This is a sampler, 67 of the photos taken today. So a really quite large sampler.
If you’d like to register to receive access to the photos once they’re done, please register here. If you’d like to save any of these photos, simply long press on them on your cell phone, or right click on them on your computer. Then select, “Open in new tab” – you’ll be able to save from there.
Thank you for reading this far. I put a lot of time and work into these sneak peeks (It’s 4:02am I write this!) so it’s great that you’ve taken the time to read all this!
