I didn't want to jump on slowie's post in case they don't want to see eldarya rant, but...
What was the real purpose of ANE? Yea, cash grab for Beemoov, but speaking from the story teller's side?
In TO Erika learnt something about new world, her ties with family were cut, she had to build her new life, found love, friends, and decided it's worth enough to make huge sacrifice. Most characters had their bigger/smaller arcs:
Ezarel got nice story (sucks that writers decided to throw it to litter), finally decided to face his fears. Valkyon... deserved better. Leiftan sadly got v botched and v forced on all players arc, but ok, cannot say they he learnt anything becasuse TO's ending was v rushed. Nevra was left with nothing. Miiko, Keroshane, Alajea, other characters- they were part of the story about i dunno, adapting? Making bonds? Something along the lines? It worked well enough to keep me glued to this game.
However, I cannot guess what is the main theme for Erika in ANE. Our MC. She didn't change during 16 episodes, and whatever they will have for her in those last 4- it won't have enough time to make same impact like it had in TO. What is the lesson the got? Not to trust easily (Charles)? They screwed it with HH and Erika blindly following her without asking questions. Erika didn't grow during whole season, she is literally the same girl she was at the end of TO. Her romance (hey, remember? it's otome game after all) is garbage. Correct me if I am wrong, but on Lance's route they didn't talk about Valkyon- even if he was her first love. She didn't talk with Leiftan about his crimes. When Nevra finally opened and tried to talk abt his insecurities writers decided to swith I AM HORNY NOW mode on.
I have read some really bad ff, like- REALLY bad, but they still have some story behind all those gramma, spelling and logical mistakes :)
Here? I am still looking for plot. Lots of things happen, and at the same time we (and characters) are at the same place as 4 eps ago.

finally done playing episode 13 of eldarya a new era. i've said it since the BEGINNING but lemme say it again; fuck mathieu.
from the start i thought he was sus and most definitely a traitor, this just proves it lol, or at least we'll know the truth soon enough. idfc what his excuse will be or what his redemption arc will look like, i ain't interested!
yea lance basically tried to kill absolutelyeveryone and i thought i'd never forgive him -- and i still don't entirely trust him --, but mathieu had a whole ass year playing around as the human hero of eldarya to tell them abt what was going on on Earth. he had time as soon as they met the sentinels to talk abt what erika's father was doing, he had time when they prepared to go on Earth, when they started searching, HE ALWAYS HAD TIME. and he chose to let faeries rot in cells and lead them to a most certain death if they were just a tad weaker lol, fuck him. this is a hate mathieu account.
(also, v happy to have caméria back, bless her. but v disappointed beemoov chose not to bring back ezarel like this for example, or someone we shared more moments with like miiko, keroshane, etc.)

Keroshane
– He will carry your things for you, open doors for you, and even go on missions with you.
– He knows that he isn't as strong as the other guys, but he will do his best to protect you.
– He has read countless romance books, so he would try to recreate some of the scenarios with you, like going for a picnic in a flower field or dancing under the rain.
– If you get sick, he is going to attend to your needs 24/7. He will not let you hold even a spoon because you have to rest to regain your strengh.
– He enjoys doting on you.
– If you want to give him a heart attack, just take his glasses and put them on.
– He is very shy, so typically you are the one who initiates the kisses and other stuff.
– However, from time to time, Kero will build the confidence to start a make out session in the middle of the library.
– If you were in a relationship before you entered the crystal, he would definitely wait for you.
– Even if you never come back, he would still stay in the H.Q to protect the crystal and your sacrifice.

– We all love a good best friends to lovers trope and dating Chrome is exactly that.
– Chrome would always brag about how he has the most gorgeous girlfriend ever.

– You don't really know either, it just kind of happen.
– He surely would be controlling. To give you an example, you are only allow to wear what he gives you, nothing else.
– He will drag you to his lap during meals and demand you to feed him.
– You have a whole squad of guards assigned to protect you when he cannot stay by your side.
– He also doesn't care who is watching. If he wants to kiss you, he will. If he wants to touch you, he will. If he wants you on your knees, you aren't allow to refuse.
– You don't have a room of your own because Tenjin's room is know yours.
– You usually take baths together. If Tenjin is in good spirits, he will even let you groom his tails.
– He doesn't like when you wear underwear, so he will purposely buy the spiciest lingerie for you to wear.
– You better go to the bathroom before sleeping, because this man will not release you from his grip during the whole night.
– He is into giving you hickeys, especially in places that are hard to cover up.

I am a Man of quality worldbuilding: A rant.
I'm just so pissed that it's been hinted at that the faeries literally stole the friking library of Alexandria and we still didn't get to visit it.
Remember the guard questionnaire? One of the questions is if you'd rather go to this this or that place. Well one of the options was the library of Alexandria and Erika said the fuck, it burned down like a thousand years ago. And it's on earth. Keroshane said -f u c k- and changed topic.
And after that there's nothing about this until we first go to memoria and Leiftan mentions that the buildings were taken from earth because Erika mentioned how much they resemble Greek ruins.
So like.... Are we going on a field trip to the library of Alexandria?? There's like 3 episodes left to make up the rest of your lackluster plot, better give me something good or I'll forcefully hire myself as creative director and main writer to fix this game.
Also, a library date with LI?? Bitch that's potential right there. Also, a copy of Erika's journal might be there, after all, she's Jesus right now. Since she's not dead anymore she might want to take them back so people won't be reading her do do list that was literally Leiftan written four times... because they were fornicating ferociously every ten minutes.
You know what? They probably Anne Franked her, editing the hyuck out of it to make the guard look less shitty and it's a best seller now. That's where the guard of El gets their funds. It's all royalties from sales.
So anyway, I'm absolutely putting a diary retrieval mission in my fanfiction.... like four years from now when I get to that point.
