Mi ritrovo per la prima volta dopo anni a pensarti con un briciolo di affetto. Mi chiedo come sia possibile averlo conservato dopo tutto ciò che è successo. Eppure eccomi qua, mi chiedo se ti sono entrata dentro tanto quanto tu hai fatto con me. Mi chiedo se anche tu ripensi a noi, e se anche a te causa così tanto dolore. Da una parte spero di sì, che ti tremino ancora le gambe quando mi incroci come capita a me. Vorrei che quando ti parlano di me ti salga l'amaro in bocca, con lo stesso risentimento che ho io. Quella sensazione di partita non finita. Di conto in sospeso. È strano, sono anni che non parliamo eppure sento ancora la tua voce nella mia testa. Succede anche a te? Le mie parole riescheggiano nelle tue giornate?

Da me fanno un rumore assordante, tanto che torno quella di allora alcune volte. Un po' mi conforta farlo.

Sei stato passione pura sai? Come uno sport che ti dà un motivo per vivere. Finché non te lo strappa via, certo. Tanto intenso quanto terrificante. Da una parte vorrei averti fatto lo stesso male, l'ho desiderato per anni e vorrei ancora procurartene.

Ma una piccola, minuscola briciola di me spera che tu sia al sicuro da tutto questo. Spera di non essere stata tanto crudele quanto lo sei stato tu con me, perché non vorrei essere quel tipo di persona.
