Evil twins 2023 vs 2014
I had shared this old drawing on my first tumblr account and I didn't share it elsewhere. So when I closed the account, I only had the drawing saved in a folder that I didn't see again until now.
It took me a while to finish it because even though I've been drawing for years, I don't know how to draw decent hands and feet. And not so dynamic bodies either, so try to do your best by looking for references.
I think they both turned out well, plus he helped me with fanarts of some artists so that Jack's face would look very pretty.
I like to think that Jack and Jill have a good sibling relationship. As if they had always known each other, even though Jill was created by a Wu. Megan also gets involved with these brothers, she will be the heavy cousin but they both love the same haha

Is there any speculation that Christy Hui is going to make a new Xiaolin series that takes place after Chronicles or had any plans to make a Xiaolin Movie to honor Xiaolin Showdowns 20th anniversary?
Mrs. Hui has been teasing a possible movie (unknown if it would be animated or live action) since about 2017 or 2018. She showed photos of her laptop computer with the Deluxe Dojo posable figure at a coffee shop stating that she was working on such a script.
If she is planning any continuation of the series, she has yet to expressly state this.
However, she has been updating her social media (Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter) regularly and frequently (for her) since December of 2022 with Xiaolin Showdown and Xiaolin Chronicles media.
She is still pushing the Doublesodes for Xiaolin Chronicles. Please check them out!

Xiaolin Showdown; created by Christy Hui, just turned 20 this year with a dedicated reanimated collab to celebrate, and a staple of many people's childhoods. Obviously, I'm not the only fan who's still floating around these parts and there are probably more of us chilling in other fandoms! So, I have decided to orchestrate a specific rival for the fandom-

As an adult looking back it’s weird that Omi in Xiaolin Showdown was a vivid yellow, right? This isn’t a dig at the show btw, it was one of my favorite things growing up. I’m just thinking about character design.
Like, as a kid it’s just “he’s a cartoon character, I literally watched Ed Edd n’ Eddy days ago so this isn’t weird.”
And it’s not just because he’s Chinese, because the show is littered with Chinese characters, it’s called Xiaolin Showdown for pity’s sake, and maybe less than a handful are as yellow as Omi over the entire series.
For every Omi and grandmaster Dashi we have more than enough Master Fungs, Chase Youngs, and Monk Guans. There’s even a guy that’s just a panda which is probably its own type of problematic but at least he’s a dude from Hong Kong that isn’t bright yellow.
Omi is a very specific design choice and I’m not even sure how to unpack it without going back over the series and seeing if there’s anything to unpack at all.
Like, this is a choice someone made, others approved, and more had to draw over and over again over the course of multiple seasons.
Like, it almost feels like it’s supposed to be okay because everyone else isn’t a vaguely racist caricature, but also why is your chief protagonist a vaguely racist caricature.
Yes I know the show creator Christy Hui is Chinese, that’s not the point. The point is that it feels weird. It’s weird, right? I can’t be the only one that thinks it’s just a little weird, right?
