One of my other tanks: the 180l tank next to the kitchen.

I've got it from a work college, who didn't want it anymore 2 years ago.

I gave some of the fish away and only kept 2 ancistrus and 3 Puntigrus.

Current stocking:

A pair of Hemichromis guttatus Super Blue (love them, had the for a few years in another tank, but they'll stay in this one)

10 Puntigrus tetrazona (added 7, 3 is to little a group for them)

3 Ancistrus sp. (added a white female)

And one dwarf channa (rescue)

manta ray, white tip shark, maybe red snapper?, silver arowana

Croak - 2019

Here is the headline: I did not give up, I was pushed down into the dirt and trampled.

And dirty and broken as I am it is hard to think, much less type with broken fingers about my rape, and my disowernship.

Anyways, I tried to tell you...

Now I am left screaming in the wind.

And every now and then someone stoops beside me like I was a baby bird who fell out of the nest and broke its wing. But turn me over and you will see only my maggot maw chirping chaos at you now, my brain a seething bed of decay and deterioration. You withdraw your hand, instinctually.

In paradise, the stampeders dance in concert halls, cut cheese, and sip on Welch's sparkling grapejuice out of rarefied solo cups cut to look like crystal, and sing birthday songs to their cross-eyed children, and toast to their deeds, their pride towering like shadows at dusk over the dirt.

Chirp. Chirp.

Crickets lay claim over my corpse. I want to cry tears that will tell you how they dined on my open sores but all that will come to my mind now is the reversal of my fortune: where once I swept up insects out of reeking eggcrate in petstore bins and sealed them in balloons to send them drifting to their waiting fates in a bearded dragon's lair.

And, then, in the sink in the pump room for the fish tanks with the sickbay for our dead arrivals I would ash my hands clean of their little BMs until my nuckles cracked and bled into the Chichlid's bed's of gravel when I returned my hand to work and thrust my raw nubs bleeding into row after row of brackish waters and wiped down the mildew the suckerfish and the snails in their shells were remiss to lick up, day after day.

Where are my labors taking me, now? Well...

You found me rotting in the dirt. My hands were cracked and bleeding, fingers broken

from prying at my tomb; my deathbed a womb for worms; my suffocated skull a conchshell worn by a crab dictating notes to a symphony of chitinous fiddlers fattened on the fecund bile in my heart.

My brain crab composes, my heart crickets stiffen and listen, and the legion of them animate my zombie remains like a rotting marionette pantomiming in motion to the chorus of them wearing my skin like a ballerina gliding through hell's halls in the devil's ballet.

And I'm done.

so turns out the fish i bought thinking they were small catfish and then found out they where chichlids but still foolishly thought theyd be small grow up to 5 in long (which is bad because they are very agressive when grown and in a tank with defenseless tetras) and need a 55 gallon tank minium (mine is 30)

Hmm... That's a very good question! I'd like to see what other people think of this!

Perhaps Okuyasu would be similar to one of those crabs with one big claw and one tiny one. One of which he calls "The Hand". Like this!

For Josuke, my sister suggested a fish similar to a Chichlid. The ones with the big lump on the head!

He'd most likely have a pompadour that resembles one of these fish's and his scales would shine like diamonds.

Not sure if they'll end up in the AU, but it's interesting to think about!

well I wouldn't SEND THEM if you weren't such a charming and approachable person so whose really to blame here?

Why I like them: He has this sort of mob-boss aura, a thin veneer of civilization hiding pure criminal decadence and greed. He's a scum-bag with diplomatic immunity and that makes him fun to dislike.

Why I don’t: WHY DOES THIS MOFO GET AWAY WITH TRYING TO EAT HUMANS WHEN GUNMAR WAS BANISHED FOR DOING THE SAME THING NOT JUST GETTING AWAY WITH IT BUT HE IS A MEMBER OF THE TROLL COUNCIL W H Y ALSO! ALSO ALSO! HE MEAN!!! TO BLINKY!!!!!

Favorite episode (scene if movie): I can't ever turn down Roaming Fees may Apply. I'm never quite able to skip it and it isn't even because I'm voreny. Gatto himself isn't intriguing, but seeing everyone elses revulsion and horror toward him is a blast.

Favorite season/movie: Season one, just desserts every time. Favorite line: "You must excuse me, I never talk business without something to eat." As if he frigging---did something mildly impolite rather than CANNIBALISM

Favorite outfit we get to see a glimpse of how he's set up in the art book.

OTP: honestly? I kinda ship Gatto with a dozen tiny wives that live in caves dug into his back. The way some male chichlids will provide little shell houses for their females and guard them.

Brotp: Gatto and Usruna, definitely.

Head Canon: Gatto HAD to have done something to get a place on the tribunal and I wanna know WHO he bribed or what he did for them to overlook his assholery. Unpopular opinion: We should feel sorry for the volcanic trolls that are enslaved to him.

A wish: .....another mountain troll punches him in the face, or he friggin GIVES the trollhunters the tool they need next time because he's learned his lesson.

An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: he better not try to eat my son again I swear to god

Tank cycling can be really hard to do because of the amount of science you need to semi understand, and it simply takes a hot minute.

For the first part of your ask, how to figure out a fishes water parameters. Lets use bettas as the example. To be honest, google was my best friend when I worked at the petstore. There are so many fish, and its almost impossible to know everything.

For this, I just googled what water parameters to bettas need. The most important ones if you want to keep different kinds of fish are what pH and temperature they need. For example, of you wanted to do a community tank with chichlids (Aggressive, high pH needing fish) and a betta, it wouldn't work out (for multiple reasons, mainly the chichlid would eat the betta) because bettas prefer softer more acidic water while they enjoy hard and alkaline water.

I also suggest only going by aquarium forums or fish based websites instead of petstore websites. One petstore websites say bettas prefer 8.0ph and oof.

There isn't really a different way to cycle different tanks, persay. It all follows under the basic: you add ammonia, you watch your params and adjust as needed, you're cycled. But keep in mind, it takes a while. Here is a website that I adore. They explain it really well and explain the whys and hows in simple terms.

It can change from tank size to tank size. A 120gal is going to take a lot longer to cycle all the way than a 10gal. Also, there is a bit of a debate that stands about the smallest tank that can hold the cycle, ans currently I belive its 5gals and above. Some will argue 10gals, but either way, you're set on the tank size.

Just moved my aquarium from one side of the house to the other. Jackass is the name of my of my Synodontis nigrita, False Upside-down Catfish. I also have two Gorami, one is a pearl and the other I do not know, 4 flame terta, 1 black neon tetra, and 1 parrot blood cichlid. Most of those fish were given to me except jackass and the black tetra, I have had them for a while.
